3. Bo Krsmanovic vs Ana Ivanovic (Welterweight)

Before: Big brunette brawl sees both gals hailing from Serbia, their native country, and the crowd is clearly excited for this encounter as well. Ana first to enter the arena, and the home fans are deafening, clearly indicating the former tennis star’s immense popularity, helped along further we’re sure by her marriage to Bastian Schweinsteiger, midfielder for New York’s Chicago Fire FC. Busty brunette is dressed in a faded yellow bikini and black gloves, her toned hips swaying side to side to the chants of the crowds.

Her opponent, Bo Krsmanovic, no stranger either, but finding mixed success in the ring thus far in her career. She struts out from behind the curtains in a black lingerie top and fluffed lace-bottoms, gesturing wildly in the air to the spectators on either side of the walkway.

In the ring, brief interview sees both brunettes showing grudging respect for each other, not entirely helped by the inept interviewer (whom VIX should totally fire, by the way). He asks both girls a simplistic question: “So, who’s gonna win tonight?”

Bo replies first, smiling into the microphone with a “Me, of course,” which draws further cheers from the crowd. The official makes his way over to Ana, who already anticipates the same question and replies: “Definitely not a big bimbo like Bo,” which draws a desired, shocked gasp from the audience. Bo smiling and nodding, trying to swallow the insult, but clearly thinking: Fine, if that’s how you want to play it, b*tch.

Referee thankfully hurries things along by shooing away everyone else who doesn’t belong in the ring. Girls force smiles at each other during the staredown in the middle of the ring, barely listening to the rules being spewed by the ref. Bell finally rings and here we go with ten rounds of Welterweight action:

Round 1: Bo still looking like she has much to learn, coming out of her corner a little hesitant and allowing Ana to stalk her with long jabs repeatedly. Audience members expecting an all-out brawl between Welterweight girls immediately disappointed at the lack of motivation to rush things from both girls, and the result is intermittent jabs thrown at the other’s guard and occasional smack whack smack to the body. Bo’s corner themselves getting impatient towards end of the round, shouting at her to get in there and show the tennis star who’s boss. Bo obliges, rolling in towards Ana, ignoring the jabs to her body, then banging hard hooks off the sides of Ana’s forearms, in hasty evasive action. Ana though looks stunned by the force and power of Bo’s blows, but she recovers quickly and chops her own gloves up and into the side of Bo’s midsection. Bell rings before either girl can exert themselves fully - now, both ladies have gotten a taste of the action.

Round 2: Adrenaline surging as both brunettes now charge towards one another, abandoning caution to the wind. Opening seconds see hard hits to the body and stiff ringing of fists off their head guards, banging each other about. Ana pounding gleefully on Bo’s midsection as the Vixen simply leaves that hole in her defensewide open, covering up her face instead. Result is body folded over in pain repeatedly, mouth open and gawking as leather forces itself into her tummy. Bo trying her best to swing back but Ana’s agility (from her tennis days) on full display here, weaving her head and torso backwards as though she’s avoiding incoming green balls, causing Bo’s hooks to miss her face wide. Ana trained to move fast, after all, footwork excellent as she swerves left all of a sudden, banging a flurry of leather into Bo’s side, then weaves the other way, digging gloves into the Serbian’s other side, leaving Bojana completely beaten at the bell, chest heaving hard and arms draped over the top rope. Not looking good for Bo this round, her wild swings not landing their mark.

Round 3: Ana smells blood and she charges at the bell! Bo covering up herself, trying to avoid the charging bull, gets her tummy drummed on yet again with rapid flurry of blows from Ana. Ivanovic sensing that her opponent’s weak, now shooting hard hooks up to Bo’s head, hoping for an early third round knockout… but no dice - Bo’s still very much alive - her body may be getting destroyed but she’s still swinging wild hooks up top… Ana not dodging as much, doesn’t see that stray fist that CRASHES into side of her cheek! Ana goes GURRGHH as another fist shakes her body to the left, leaving her staggered and stunned on the spot. Brunette growls now and takes step forward, buries her right hand deep into tennis star’s paunch, lifting Ana’s body off her feet repeatedly by hard blow after hard blow, leveling her tummy in half. Ana looks like she’s about to collapse from the sudden change in fortunes, but Bo walks her back to the ropes, where she continues smacking fists onto the belly, then whamming hands into each side of her face. Ana left vulnerable and beaten this round in 180 degree fashion, but Bo could’ve scored a knockdown towards the end but she seemed more focused on exacting revenge on fellow Serbian, allowing Ana to survive till the end.

Round 4: Roughly even now as both girls step forward gingerly at the bell. Bo looking like a different beast completely, however, sweet relish on her face as she sees Ana still slightly hunched over, her arms favoring her body. Hard right swing catches her on the forehead and Ana lets out another moan as she’s swung to the right by the blow. But Bo gets overconfident again, doesn’t see Ana’s return right hook that catches her straight in the chest. Bo grimacing as pain shoots down her spine. Ana capitalizes, not letting her escape, pounds another one-two jabs straight into Bo’s face, adding to the confusion. Bo now walking backwards, trying to retreat, but with Ana following step by step. Bo, desperate, swings a right uppercut out of nowhere, hoping to get lucky - and SHE DOES - right glove whacks into Ana’s jawline, snapping head back in nasty back and forth... Both girls doing a deadly dance now, advancing and retreating on the back of continued, repeated blows to the head and body. Bo punished with another one-two to her chest, but plants feet and fires a straight right power blow, CRACKS into Ana’s lips - it’s too much for Ivanovic! She eats leather, staggers back, crashes into the ropes, then falls flat on the ground, completely out!! It’s over! The referee waves it off when Ana’s barely moving from her sprawled position, drool pooling to one side of her mouth.


Official Decision: Bo Krsmanovic defeats Ana Ivanovic via KO4!!

After: A BIG win for Bo here. Honestly, most pundits predicting a crushing loss for her in the face of someone as powerful as Ana. But nope, against the odds, Krsmanovic proves her naysayers wrong by not only knocking Ivanovic out, but doing so in early fashion!

Bo smiling widely, almost in tears as the referee lifts up her hand in victory. But of course, the big girl known for her compassion - she goes over to check on Ana at the first opportunity. Ana looking well enough to stand as well, and both girls hug briefly.

“We call this Serbian pride,” Ana would later say. “I’m glad to see a fellow comrade rising in the ranks and doing well. If it were anyone else, trust me, there would have been fireworks.”

“I can’t believe it!” Bo exclaims to reporters as well. “I beat her!” I’ve been working on my footwork and swings, and I think this win tonight shows that I’m on the right track here by co-signing with VIX. I can’t wait to get in the ring with my next opponent!”
