(Alpha Boxing Club vs Team Canada)

Intro:
The third fight on Emmanuelle Chriqui's tour of Canada against Team Canada girls sees her take on one of the newest members in Sarah Gadon in Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum.
The 39 year old Emmanuelle comes into this fight with a record of 3 wins, all by knockout and 7 defeats, she's 1 and 1 in the BBU with this tour.
Her opponent is the 30 year old Sarah, she comes into this fight with 1 win by knockout and no defeats, that victory was all the way back in November when she beat Chisato Morishita in 3 rounds.
Both are Canadian girls, so there is a lot of pride on the line and it shows as the girls meet at the press conference and the crowd gets to see how similar these two are in build and they are the exact same height.
Looking each other up and down, Emmanuelle nods at Sarah; who smiles back confidently that she can beat the veteran when the gloves are on.
Moving to their tables, Emmanuelle speaks first to the assembled press "well the last fight didn't go so well guys" as she lost to the bigger Emilie Ullerup in that fight.
She lightens up though as she says "but another day and another fight for me, I am very interested in you Sarah, Hilary (Burton) tells me you did an exceptional job in your debut"
Sarah nodding and grinning at Emmanuelle, before the older woman states "I also heard you wanted a test, well while I don't want to make enemies with you guys, I am going to push you past your limit and stand tall over you girl"
The "girl" part seems to really hit Sarah, she knows that Emmanuelle threw that out like she'd throw a hook as a way to get under her skin.
Now it's Sarah's turn to speak and she says "you know Emmanuelle; you're right, you are a real test after my debut, one I look forward to taking myself"
Her light tone changes to a more harsher one as she adds "but let's be clear hun, I'm the one going to be standing tall, as you lay flat out on your back and the crowd chant my name because they'll know that your time has past and I've ripped the torch from your hand"
Now it's Emmanuelle turn to look displeased, both girls stand up for the final staredown with Chriqui whispering to Gadon "you'll have to work hard to rip the torch out of my hand bytch"
Sarah quickly replies "oh I will, I just hope you have the stamina to make this interesting for me" as both fighters edge closer to go nose to nose, neither blinking as they stare each other down.
The Team Canada manager Amanda comes over as she sees both girls gearing up to fight and decides to calm things down, whispering to both "save it for the ring ladies" before turning both girls to face the cameras and raising their arms nearest her up for a photo.
After all the photos are taken, the girls give each other one final glare, before stepping off the stage in opposite directions.
Fight night, out comes Emmanuelle with Hilary Burton by her side, both girls smile widely as there's a loud cheer for the homecoming Queen, who has loved the reactions the most since fighting in Canada again.
She starts her walk to the ring wearing a red bikini and gloves, the bikini showing off her stunning body that has men drooling in the front row.
Climbing into the ring, Emmanuelle waves to the crowd as she heads to her corner and begins her warm up with Hilary going through her game plan for this fight.
Now the crowd turns back to the entrance way and out comes Sarah with coach Nicole De Boer, a loud cheer greets her as well, both fighters knew they'd get a warm reception from their fans, but secretly hoped they would get a louder cheer, it's hard to tell if there was any real difference between the two cheers.
Sarah struts down to the ring wearing a white bikini and red gloves as well, her bikini looks sculptured to her impressive body, getting more lustful looks off the crowd, some even look to be thanking a higher power for giving them a chance to see these two stunners lock up in battle.
Stepping into the ring, Sarah gives the crowd a quick demonstration of her hand speed, which doesn't look to have impressed Emmanuelle, before jogging to her corner to go through her own warm up routine.
Soon both fighters are ushered to the ring centre by the referee, quickly going head to head, the crowd quietens down as they watch the intense staredown between these two Canadian goddesses.
The referee asks for a touch of gloves after he finishes his instructions, both look at each other with unsure eyes on whether they should or not, then they quickly swipe gloves before jogging back to their corners.
After gumshields are placed in, the referee looks at his watch before signalling for the bell to be rung to start 10 rounds of flyweight boxing action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters with Sarah coming out aggressively, Emmanuelle keeping her guard compact as the blonde comes straight at her with a flurry of punches that smack into her gloves.
Clearly Sarah wants to make a statement and use her fellow Canadian as the way to do that, as she forces Emmanuelle onto the back foot early.
Soon though Emmanuelle shows her veteran skills, timing her movements to sidestep a right hook and land a double jab through the gap left in Sarah's guard to her face.
Now it's Emmanuelle whose coming on strongly as she is making the rookie miss, then punishing her with jabs and straights to her face.
Soon Sarah covers up as she rethinks her strategy and now Emmanuelle switches to the body with looping shots around the guard.
Nicole in Sarah's corner is shaking her head as Emmanuelle is making a fool out of her fighter with her cooler head.
Sarah does come back though at Emmanuelle late in the round as she slips under a straight punch and comes back with an overhand left to knock the older fighter to her heels.
Gadon powering forwards with a jab/straight punch combo to force Emmanuelle to take another step back and put her guard up tight again.
But as she looks to land a left hook with seconds ticking away, Chriqui leans back and slams her straight right to the nose of the blonde, who yelps in surprise and the bell rings before Emmanuelle can push on.
The girls give each other a quick glare, before they jog back to their corners, Hilary smiles as she tells her fighter "good job, you survived the early barrage and controlled her with your cleaner punches"
While Nicole isn't happy with Sarah, telling her "what the hell was that?! You know you can box babe, stick with your slick movements and knock her out that way" which makes Sarah nod as she feels embarrassed with herself.
Round 2:
Clearly listening to her coach, this time Sarah doesn't rush out and we get a much more even start to the round, with both fighters up on their toes and throwing jabs, while they try to move into a better position to pound the other into submission.
Emmanuelle this time misses with a left cross that Sarah leans out the way of and comes back with an uppercut that just about skims the chin of her opponent.
The brunette lands a quick double jab again as she circles away from standing in front of Sarah, who is matching pace with her own good footwork.
Sarah this time barrages a straight and steps in to land a right hook that turns Emmanuelle's head to the side, then she adds two shots to either side of her body to force her onto her heels.
Now with a great opening, Sarah let's loose her punches and is backing up Emmanuelle, slamming them to her face and getting a small cut to appear on Chriqui's bridge of her nose gives her extra confidence.
She backs Emmanuelle into a corner, where the older fighter pulls her into a clinch, wrapping her left leg around the back of Sarah's right to make sure she doesn't escape her.
Sarah meanwhile puts her left forearm under the chin of Emmanuelle to shove her head back so she's looking at the ceiling.
The referee quickly steps in to separate the two, warning them to keep things clean before he orders them to continue.
Not long left in the round, Emmanuelle has her feet back under her and she keeps moving around Sarah to try and frustrate her.
Sarah to her credit this round is keeping her head and both fighters land some stiff single punches as the seconds tick away and the bell rings to end the round.
Sarah smiles as she knows she had Emmanuelle in trouble, the older fighter just scowling at her in reply before they both turn to their corners.
Hilary not looking too worried, cleaning the cut up and stopping it bleeding as in the other corner, Nicole is working hard to keep Sarah getting overly excited by her success that round.
Round 3:
No real change in tactics to start, both girls still nimble on their feet, moving and striking each other with single punches.
Till Sarah thinks she sees an opening, she swings a venomous looking right hook at the chin of her opponent, who ducks underneath and comes back up with an uppercut that rocks her head back.
Sarah stumbles back several steps and Emmanuelle is quickly on her to land a right hook that puts the younger fighter down to her side for the first time in her career!
Gut check time for Sarah as she blinks quickly and can hear Nicole shouting at her "get up!" The referee is up to 4 as she looks up at him and turns herself so she can to all fours.
Soon she's back up to her feet at 8 and nodding at the referee that she can continue, he orders the fight to continue.
Emmanuelle comes on the attack as Sarah covers up, she's looking worried for the first time in her career as the Veteran bares down on her with evil intentions.
Starting by looking to crack open the shell of Gadon's defence, Chriqui switches to the body with pounding shots to her side, grunting with real effort as the blonde groans with each shot and quickly retreats back to create space.
Emmanuelle won't let her get far, moving after her and getting caught with several defensive jabs to annoy her more then hurt.
She parries one of them and steps in tight to land a right hook around the guard of her opponent that looks to rattle her again and Sarah instead grabs on to her in a tight clinch.
Whispering into her opponent's ear "you wanted a test you bytch" Emmanuelle losing herself to her temper as Sarah looks up at the ceiling, wondering what she should do to get back into this.
The referee separates the fighters and back at it they go as seconds tick away in the round and Emmanuelle pounds the guard of Sarah, starting to redden her arms as the bell rings and she raises her arms to get into Sarah's head.
The younger fighter just stares hatefully at Emmanuelle, blaming her for the feeling of not being in control, something she hasn't been used too.
Back in their corners, Hilary smiles at her friend as she works on fixing her up, while Nicole is reading the riot act to Sarah, telling her to woman up and fight back, "take this as your first real lesson kid" is the parting words she gives her fighter before patting her on the back.
Round 4:
Sarah continues to be defensive with her actions, trying to fight from behind her guard as Emmanuelle is easily swatting those punches away and stepping forwards.
She spots her chance to move in and takes it to land digs two body shots in to the abs of Sarah to back her up again and starts teeing off on the guard.
Sarah is forced to slip under a right hook that had some serious power on it and come back with a hard straight punch to that cut nose.
Backing Emmanuelle up a step seems to waken Sarah up from feeling sorry for herself, as she steps in though, she takes a left cross that makes her retreat.
Emmanuelle stalking her as she thinks she's broken Sarah's will, digging that jab into the guard but she can't open it up enough to do any serious damage.
Again she has to go to the body with three short sharp punches to the ribs of Sarah, who winces with each shot landed.
But she now spots a good chance to fire back, landing three straight like punches into the face of the brunette, knocking her head back and forcing her onto the back foot for what feels like forever to her.
Emmanuelle nods at her as they separate into space, showing respect for the fact Sarah hasn't completely wilted when under pressure.
That doesn't stop her slipping her way back in under a jab and landing one shot to the body and two across the cheeks of her opponent.
Emmanuelle just looking a class above at the moment and as the round is heading to it's conclusion, she lands a stiff left cross to make Sarah back up onto the ropes and follows up with a right at the bell.
Sarah's cheeks are marked up nicely, while Emmanuelle's cut on her nose doesn't look to be getting worse, the fighters head back to their corners.
Nicole is going to shout at her fighter, but sees she is upset herself so doesn't waste her time on that, instead works on her cheeks to stop them swelling up too badly.
Emmanuelle is looking content, she is slightly annoyed that she hasn't taken Sarah out yet, though Hilary assures her that if she keeps the pressure on then the fight is hers.
Round 5:
Doing as she done the last two rounds, Emmanuelle is keeping in close to Sarah and pressing her around the ring as her opponent keeps covering up.
Sarah can be seen getting pissed off from behind her guard, certainly not enjoying being pushed around by her opponent, especially a fellow Canadian.
Emmanuelle digs a right to the ribs of Sarah and looks to follow with a left, but Sarah surprises her with a right hook to her cheek, followed by a left.
Now Chriqui is on the back foot, more stunned that Sarah has found something inside of herself to fight back and now she's covering up as Sarah comes in and lands three quick thrown body shots.
Emmanuelle shoves her back and the two fighters plant their feet and step in for a good old fashion slugfest, the older fighter doing well in the early going as she's taken less damage.
But that cut on her nose is like a bullseye, Sarah hitting it twice to reopen it and back up a yelping Emmanuelle.
It's looking like the worst fears for the ABC girls is coming true as Sarah looks renewed in her demeanor, that doesn't stop Emmanuelle fighting back with a left cross of her own pushing Sarah back.
But where she was retreating before, now she's coming back for more, leading to both standing and trading harder shots.
Emmanuelle lands a double jab to cause blood to come from the nostrils of Sarah, she takes a right cross on her chin though in reply and the fighters separate.
Looking each other over as they know time is ticking away, Sarah tries to keep fighting forwards but is met with a stiff straight punch after Emmanuelle sidesteps a jab and follows up with a left cross to force her back.
The bell rings not long after with a loud cheer from the crowd for both fighters, Sarah doesn't look scared as much to take punishment.
While Emmanuelle pounds the top turnbuckle in her corner, frustrated as she thinks how badly the situation she'd put Sarah in, she couldn't do enough to win and some worry hits her, though Hilary does her best to calm her down and refocus her.
Round 6:
Emmanuelle tries to come out on the front foot but it looks like her worries were founded as Sarah dances around her again and looks in full flow again.
Both fighters trade stiff single punches, dancing around the other, till Chriqui tries to step forwards to land a left and right cross, both just finding air.
Instead Sarah is the one who steps in with a feint left and lands a hard right across the side of Emmanuelle's face, knocking her head to the side.
Then she adds two more straight punches as Chriqui is being backed up by her opponent towards the ropes with a flurry of punches.
Emmanuelle does enough with her footwork to move back and to the side to get out of getting trapped on the ropes, then bobs her head out of the way of a straight to land her own right cross to show she isn't going away easily.
A missed left from the brunette nearly has both fighters clashing body to body and start fighting in tight as they put their heads together and work each others bodies.
Sarah getting backed up as the earlier work she was subjected too is paying off it seems for Emmanuelle, leading to the blonde retreating back.
A look of relief crosses Emmanuelle's face as she steps forwards to keep the pressure on again, jabbing away at Sarah as she backs her up.
But Sarah ducks under a jab and comes back up with an overhand right that stuns Emmanuelle, she blinks as Sarah beats her back onto the ropes.
Emmanuelle covering up as Sarah pins her to the ropes with a flurry of punches, sweat being knocked off the body of the brunette and making her groan out loudly.
Clinching up, Hilary breaths out a sigh of relief herself, worried that all of Emmanuelle's hard work in the early rounds were going to be a waste.
The referee pries the girls apart and Emmanuelle moves out into space so she can work her way back into the round.
With not long left in the round, Sarah isn't interested in letting her back in, as she squares up with her opponent and the girls trade in close again till the bell ends the round.
Both fighters are looking sore as they give each other a quick look over, heading back to their corners, their isn't much advice from their coaches, they are more focused on getting their girls ready for the next round.
Round 7:
Both fighters come to meet in the ring centre, not as much on their toes as tiredness sets in on both, this fight has already went twice the distance of Sarah's first one and is a big learning curve for her as Emmanuelle looks to get back to the body.
But the younger fighter steps back when her opponent tries to land a right hook to the body, getting thin air instead.
Sarah lands a right hook of her own that smacks Emmanuelle hard across her face and again her legs look wobbly as the blonde adds two straight punches and a left cross.
Emmanuelle stumbling near the ropes and a right cross puts her down to her side, completing the turnaround it seems!
Turning to her back as the referee counts, Emmanuelle looks up to the ceiling of the indoor arena and can't believe she's down.
She quickly forgets about that as she hears the count up to 5 and starts to shove her way up to beat the count at 8.
The referee quickly checking her and she bangs her gloves together and states she can continue to fight, he nods after giving her a check and waves the fighters on.
Emmanuelle fighting behind her guard now as Sarah stalks her around the ring, looking for her opening with quick thrown jabs.
Sarah almost makes a mistake as she lunges in with a right cross that finds nothing and just gets her head out of the way of a right hook.
Gadon presses Chriqui backwards with that jab, looking for her chance and feeling frustrated as Emmanuelle did when she was trying to finish off her.
But she manages to land two stiff body shots in and as Emmanuelle's guard starts to move down, she quickly lands a right over the top to hurt her opponent again.
Getting her onto the ropes again, she's rifling shots through the guard of the brunette, but the bell rings before she can finish the job off and now Sarah looks at Nicole with an expression of "what do I need to do?"
Emmanuelle doesn't look exactly in great shape as she looks over at Hilary, who looks worried for her as she checks her over.
Round 8:
Out comes the fighters, though it's clear that Emmanuelle is still hurting from that last round beating she took as she looks a step slower around the ring.
Sarah hunting her down as she slams straight punches at the guard and as some start to get through, Emmanuelle realises she has to at least try to fight back.
That leads to both figures standing and trading in close, Emmanuelle getting some clean shots in on Sarah to back her up.
But an uppercut from the blonde turns Emmanuelle's legs to jelly and she's being rocked backwards into a corner by Sarah.
The tough brunette is still standing but as her back hits the turnbuckles, her head is being knocked around and her arms are dipping.
The referee has seen enough and steps in to pull Sarah off of her opponent and he cradles Emmanuelle as she looks around dazed and confused what's happening!

Winner: Sarah Gadon TKO Round 8

After:
A fight that's answered a lot of questions about Sarah, it was far from a great performance for her but showed she can battle back from adversity.
Emmanuelle meanwhile has to be helped to her corner by the referee and Hilary, who is shedding a few tears as she's worried her friend is hurt badly.
But after several moments, Emmanuelle shows she's OK by putting her thumbs up to Hilary after her gloves are taken off and tells her "guess I got my ass handed to me"
Hilary hugs her tight as she's thankful her friend is still there, but that joy turns sour as Sarah heads over after getting her gloves taken off.
She tells Hilary "I'm walking her, so you better get out the way" Nicole doesn't exactly look pleased as she stands behind Sarah and Hilary herself certainly isn't.
Squaring up to Sarah, she yells "screw you! You've already done enough!" But both women are startled as Emmanuelle says "she's earned it Hilary, let her do it"
Hilary grits her teeth and wants to plead with Emmanuelle, but she sees the determination on her fighters face to not show disrespect to Sarah.
Sarah to her credit doesn't make matters worse by pulling her up by her hair, instead she helps Emmanuelle up so she acts like a clutch, then walks around the ring with her conquest shouting "I beat her! I'm the number 1 Canadian fighter!" Though her own stablemate Ellen Page may disagree with that statement.
Sarah halfway around whispers to Emmanuelle "look I respect you, but I am better than you" which gets a swift reply of "you were better tonight, try again and see how well you do"
All Sarah can do is laugh and give a genuine smile to her rival, telling her "God you are one tough fighter" which makes Emmanuelle smile too.
Sarah hands off Emmanuelle to Hilary, barking at her "clear the ring so I can celebrate" Hilary scowling at her but Emmanuelle nods at Sarah, who nods back.
The crowd cheer for Sarah as she raises her arms up, grimacing as the pain fully hits her but enjoying tonight more then any she can think of.
For Sarah name will surely be looking to test her out after this win, she's flew under the radar of most pundit before tonight.
While Emmanuelle has one more fight booked, that is against Ellen Page in a big name fight between the two, tickets are rumoured to be sold out for that one.
