Jennifer Lawrence vs Missy Peregrym 5-26-17 (result:Lookout; fight:simgrrl) J-Law: 27yo, 5'8”, **130#, 34C-26-36 v Missy: 34yo, 5'7.5”, 127#, 36C-23-32
**Lawrence had to lose 3 lbs to make weight! It may not be an issue tonight but going forward the FCBA may have to keep a close eye on her if weight becomes a problem! * * * * * * Before: The second meeting for these two high profile lightweights. Their only previous contest ended early in Missy's favor (a TKO2 September 2012). But it wasn't as easy as it appeared because she had to recover from from 1st round near knockdown to finally devastate Lawrence's (then) suspect body, ripping her apart with a blistering, two-fisted attack in the second round that overwhelmed the young blonde's defenses so badly the referee stepped in and put a stop to it. Tonight, J-Law wants retribution!
The 34 y/o Peregrym has had 15 title fights as both champion and challenger, while the 26 y/o Lawrence is 0-2 in two challenges for a lightweight title (Strahovski in 2014; Yustman, 2015). As fans expect, there's hard feelings between their rival stables and it's no different with the two protagonists themselves. Their stablemates vent venom at the drop of a blogger steno pad, a radio head digital recorder or a TV basic cable channel camera; everyone eager and willing to go “on the record” to explain how terrible her counterpart in the other stable is, was, and always will be!
It's no surprise when Peregrym lobs the first volley in her verbal battle with Lawrence. “I thought I'd humbled her when I stopped her fat ass when we fought before. Maybe she doesn't remember, or maybe she thinks she's outgrown it. Well, I'm here to say in no uncertain terms, 'What goes around, comes around... again and again!' You got a brief taste of my firepower the first time, this weekend you're in for a steady diet of leather. I wrecked her soft body then,” Missy boasts. “And it doesn't look any harder now... in fact, it looks softer... so my fans can to see expect more of the same.”
Lawrence who recently was videoed “cutting loose like a low-rent gogo dancer in a Euro-trash strip club” (Strahovski's description of J-Law's pole dancing) was unapologetic about pushing to get 'Miss Peggy' back in an FCBA ring as soon as possible. “I don't know what she's been smoking,” Jen snarked. “But she got lucky the first time. She was a wily veteran and I was an aspiring young newbie. Well, now she's a has-been and I'm the veteran. Let's see who handles who this time!”
Then J-Law added by way of supporting the 'face' of her stable, Charlize Theron, “And if Strahovski is jealous I work a pole better than her, she shouldn't worry me because I'm also a hotter blonde than that Aussie tramp will ever be.”
Both women (without consultation, we're assured) wearing outfits echoing the ones they wore in their first meeting (Sept 2012); J-Law in baby blue sports bra w/Olympic-sprinter trunks, white stripes down the hips and white gloves with a scrappy ponytail with bangs. Missy in a white sports bra, Olympic-sprinter trunks with baby blue stripes at the hip, blue gloves and a scrappy ponytail with swept bangs. As if the FCBA intentionally wanted to confuse the media, the white clad Peregrym is assigned the “blue” corner while blue clad Lawrence is in the “white” corner. (You really can't make this stuff up, folks!)
Seated in Peregrym's corner are the members of her stable (Lookout) to support their “sister” against the “new face of Ginny's Academy” as Lawrence bids to replace aging superstar Charlize Theron ahead of Blake Lively and Lindsay Lohan who are seated across the ring. Theron's 'Academy Acolytes' sit nervously awaiting the bell - hoping J-Law has better luck than Charlize did earlier vs Karlie Kloss.
Janet Jones and Jeri Ryan working Jen's corner with Academy head trainer Natascha Ragosina; Yvonne Strahovski and Elisha Cuthbert are seconding Missy. * * * * During Rd 1: Lawrence romping right from the bell as she takes the fight to Peregrym on Missy's half of the canvas. J-Law sending a message early that she's not afraid to trade with the brunette Canadian and Missy's more than happy to oblige her. Jen head-hunting early, ringing Peregrym's bell several times with heavy right hands as she pushes forward relentlessly on the attack. Peregrym, despite getting rocked, investing heavily in Lawrence's body as promised; fighting out of a deep crouch that puts her head level with J-Law's chest, but which keeps her fists even with Jennifer's belly button and that's Missy's target in the early minutes as she beats a steady tattoo that quickly infuses the smooth belly flesh of the young blonde with a bright cherry-red glow. Final minute of the round sees Lawrence standing stubbornly upright, giving up her midsection for the opportunity to slam hard, chopping, punches down against either side of Peregrym's head. Missy ear-muffing her gloves to absorb some - but certainly not all - of the impacts, determined to weather the blows in exchange for helping herself to great handfuls of Lawrence's belly. At the bell, they're both still punching with determination and neither is showing any inclination to back off or slow her pace. Judges see Jen's head-hunting a slightly more effective than Missy's body bashing, but not by much as they tilt Jennifer's way on the scorecards (but it's close).
Rd 2: Peregrym's peeps pronounce themselves proud of her performance, so, at Cuthbert' behest, Missy goes right back into Jen's kitchen for a second helping. Peregrym with more head movement, and it pays dividends early when she's not being rocked by solid blows to the head; instead, Lawrence's punches - still on target - land more glancing then square. Missy able to stall J-Law's advance in the early going, then as the effects of her body attack begin to pay off, she is backing Lawrence up with a series of left hooks that she drives in behind J-Law's right elbow. Just to mix things up, Missy occasionally follows a hook with an overhand right, the attention-getting right hands aim to keep Lawrence off balance just enough for Missy to set herself before continuing to devote most her attention to Lawrence's smooth, young, belly. At the bell, Peregrym grins as she struts to her corner after seeing J-Law unconsciously rub her aching belly as she struggles to catch her breath. All's going according to plan at ringside too, as the scorecards show Missy taking the points to even matters but (as in rd 1) it's razor thin close.
Rd 3: Natascha Ragosina in Lawrence's face between rounds, giving her the old 'OK, I let you try it your way, now it's time you listen to me' speech (one we hear a lot in Academy corners lately!) To her credit, J-Law smart enough to listen to her coach and when she comes out for the third rounds, she's assumed more of a crouching stance herself, and - for the most part - forgoes her 'head hunting' to pay more attention to Peregrym's lush body with her punches. At first caught off guard by Lawrence's unexpected tactical change-up, Missy takes several hard, straight, shots to her sports bra before she hurriedly changes her own plan and takes 'the girls' out of the line of fire by getting more upright while popping her left in J-Law's grinning face until Jennifer's no longer smiling! At long range, both women trade big right hands, and both are hurt! Lawrence's knees buckle after she eats a right cross on the jaw; Peregrym staggers and sits back in the ropes when a J-Law hook cracks her on the chin. First Jen, then Missy, are forced to clinch to clear their heads. It's good stuff; fans of both on their feet at ringside, show their appreciation. Final minute sees both fighters up their output, first Missy Peregrym lands a flurry of rapid-fire rights and lefts that have Lawrence stutter-stepping backward until her butt hits the ropes. With her supporters on their feet chanting her name, Missy moves in to finish... only to be clipped by a Jen Lawrence left hook. From there, it's J-Law's time to shine as she clubs Peregrym with a barrage using both fists to force the brunette to retreat back to where she started her own offensive almost a minute earlier. At the bell, both are showing fatigue, and signs of wear and tear after a contentiously contested round that the officials, in their wisdom, decide is simply just too close to call. (draw)
Rd 4: Lawrence continuing her offensive output from the previous round, picks up where she left off, catching Peregrym with a hard left-right combination in the opening seconds and never taking her foot off the gas for the rest of the round. Missy fighting back effectively in spots, but they're too few; too far between; and too ineffective to overcome Jennifer Lawrence's steady drumbeat of leather on taut body as (once early, and again once late) J-Law has Peregrym trapped on the ropes looking like she may be ready to go at any moment. But both times, Peregrym's strategy of clinching until she recovers, then flashing thirty seconds or so of eye-catching offense, works to her advantage as she recovers some of her lost momentum and forces Lawrence to cover up (if only briefly) before she can go back on offense. At the end of the round, it's a clear and easy decision for all three judges to give J-Law the nod as she takes the round's points (wide).
Rd 5: Missy's turn! In a shocking turn of events, Missy comes barreling out of her corner just as the first clang of the bell is heard, catching Lawrence still rising off her stool and slamming her back onto the turnbuckle. Before the referee can pull her away, the Canadian lands three hard body shots that seem to take all the wind out of Lawrence's sails for the moment. Jennifer quickly recovers her air, but the tone has been set for the round and it seems that every time Lawrence is about to get on a roll and repeat her success of the previous round, something happens to derail her. Once it's a left hook by Missy that buckles Lawrence's knees. Then after J-Law manages to collect her wits and fights her way off the ropes, it's a straight right between the eyes that stops her momentum cold! Time and again, Peregrym either preempts Lawrence, or trumps her play with a bigger, harder, or lower, blow. (Alright, it's just only one low blow - and it's ruled accidental. And after the referee gives J-Law a chance to recoup she seems fine!) But the point is, no matter what Lawrence tries, Peregrym has an answer for it. And in the closing moments of the round, Missy is back on top of Jennifer again, once more going after that belly just as the way she predicted she would destroy her blond opponent! At the close of the round, no one - not even Lawrence's most ardent fans - would deny Peregrym had earned the points the judges awarded her for winning the round (wide).
Rd 6: Jennifer seems fully recovered from her battering in round five as the bell opens the sixth, but the action resumes as if there'd been no break at all. Lawrence fighting out of a forward lean behind the jab, and Missy Peregrym back to that low crouch she showed in the opening rounds, whipping left hooks and jamming rights in under Lawrence's high guard to pink the blonde's pale paunch. J-Law wincing at many of the impacts, still stubbornly clinging to her upright stance; using her height to punch down on at Missy's bobbing head, or turning her hips into blows, her fists carving short arcs as she punches over Peregrym's hunched shoulders to rattle the brunette time and again. It's classic land warfare 101: the 'long game' cutting off enemy supplies (kill the body) versus striking at enemy leadership (kill the head). Either can lead to victory but at this point one's having more success. Supply lines are hard to defend, they're fixed and in plain sight (like a torso). Leadership can hide behind fixed defenses or move out of range (like a head). As this fight moves into the second minute of the 6th round, Peregrym's body attack is finding its target while J-Law's head-hunting is hit and miss! Elisha Cuthbert sees it first, pounding her fist on the apron and screaming at Peregrym, “YOUR RIGHT! THROW THE RIGHT...NOW!”. Strahovski picks up the call and they chant in unison, “RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT!” Missy jabs the left, a glancing blow off Lawrence's right ear, but instead of withdrawing, her hand hooks Jen's head and holds her in place as she POUNDS her left over and over and over up into the soft underside of J-Law's bulging left bra cup! Lawrence's mouth opens in a silent protest that's short-circuited by the explosion of air driven from her lungs by the rat-a-tat-tat impacts of the piston-punching brunette's right fist. The referee is slow to pick up on what's happened and Peregrym gives J-Law's lush orb another several hard smacks before he intervenes to slap her glove away from the back of Lawrence's head and part them. Missy backs off with a little smirk on her lips as Jennifer falls back against the ropes struggling to catch her breath, her left hand cupping the aching breast as the referee stops the action just long enough to give the Canadian a perfunctory “warning” about holding and hitting, then walks away and leaves Missy to get back to work while Lawrence is left to give her tearing eyes a quick swipe with her right forearm to clear her blurred vision. Peregrym back on the attack immediately, walking in and crushing a left hook to J-Law's right ribs that briefly buckles her knees! As Jennifer's legs firm, an overhand right from Missy rocks her and sends the blonde's butt skittering along the ropes as she tries to escape behind a pawing left that Peregrym casually brushes aside as she walks Lawrence down and throws another left hook. This, as Lawrence continues to move away, almost misses entirely, but just catches the outside of J-Law's left breast as she's side-stepping with her left arm extended. The already painful soft flesh is pancaked by the inadvertent punch and Lawrence can't stifle a moan of pain as she stumbles into the corner, her back against the turnbuckle! Peregrym, eyes flashing, squares up as she draws back her right fist and fires a straight right toward J-Law's exposed chin... Jen just manages to get her left hand up in front of her face just in the nick of time and block the punch - although the impact still slams her glove back into her face. But Lawrence wasn't thinking only of defense, at the same time she raised her left to block, her brain was sending a signal to her right hand and as Missy leaned into what she expected to be her knockout punch, J-Law's right hand was already on its way to Peregrym's now unprotected jaw. The blow landed flush and it short-circuited Missy's brain, shutting it down. Missy's body went on autopilot when her brain stopped sending signals, her feet moving unconsciously to try and hold her body upright. But there was no chance of that happening when Jennifer followed thru on her punch and sent Missy Peregrym to the canvas flat on her back! Lawrence staggered forward off balance, trampling Missy and tripping over her, catching the ropes with one hand to stay upright herself, then turned to look back down at Missy's body stretched out in her wake. In Peregrym's corner, Yvonne and Cuthbert were screaming “FOUL!”[/i] yelling at the referee, demanding he penalize J-Law for “stomping on” their fighter as she tripped over her. The referee grabbed Lawrence and escorted her toward a neutral corner, then returned to count over Peregrym who was struggling to sit up; eyes glassy, mouthpiece half out of her open mouth; her right leg swinging back and forth as she tried to roll over off her back. Vonnie and Cuthbert, in Missy's corner 10 or 12 feet away, frantically calling, “GET UP! GET UP!” Missy makes a feeble swipe at the ropes with her gloved hand and manages to reach it. She barely can get to her knees, then slowly rise, tilting sideways against the ropes as her mouthpiece finally slips from her lips and falls at her feet. The referee looks at her eyes, then bends and picks up the guard, stepping to Peregrym's corner to get a water bottle...which Yvonne cleverly fumbles and drops, then retrieves and hands up to him, letting go just as he touches it. The water bottle falls to the canvas, delaying things for another few seconds before he can rinse it and replace it in Missy's mouth. She nods firmly in response to his query if she's alright to continue, and claps her gloves together. He looks at Lawrence, then steps back. But before J-Law can hit her, the bell rings ending the round! Jennifer Lawrence steals the round with her knockdown in minute three, and now it's anybody's fight going to seven!
Rd 7: Between rounds, Vonnie, Cuthbert (and the entire Lookout team, actually) work desperately to get Peregrym back to a semblance of her 'normal' self. But even with their best effort, it's clear she's nowhere close to 'ready' when the bell sounds for the seventh round. Acknowledging that, Missy charges out, throws a huge, looping, overhand right (that misses badly) and continues rumbling forward until she crashes into the startled Jennifer Lawrence. As they collide bosom-to-bosom, Peregrym wraps her arms around J-Law and drives her back to the ropes where they clinch; each digging into the others flank. The referee, as surprised as anyone by Peregrym's unorthodox tactic, is slow to react to break them apart...and even when he does arrive to separate them, Missy doggedly hangs on, running another ten or fifteen seconds off the clock! Finally freed, Jennifer hooks Missy to the head, sending her recoiling in disarray back, gloves up in front of her. J-Law pursues with a looping right hand that lands with little effect other than to keep Missy backing away. The second minute of the round sees Lawrence chasing Missy around the ring, landing several hard body shots and two good, rocking, head shots that buckle Peregrym's already rubbery legs. But despite her best efforts, Jennifer Lawrence can't land the one punch that may end the fight. Give Missy credit for fighting stubbornly - if not particularly effectively - by doing whatever she can to bog down J-Law and stretch out the round; giving herself more time to recover from the near KO late in the previous round. As the round goes into a third minute Lawrence's attack is unrelenting as Missy is kept under constant pressure by the younger blonde. Just when it seems Peregrym might mount some sustained offensive of her own, Jennifer would land a hard right hand that undid all of Missy's good work and put her back on her heels once more. At the end of the round, J-Law had Missy Peregrym pinned in J-Law's corner, teeing off with both fists as Missy desperately held her away by both biceps, her body bent forward with her face in Jennifer's chest. Given that Missy showed little offense, it's no surprise Jennifer won the round by shutout to move into the lead on all scorecards.
Rd 8: Missy Peregrym on her feet before the bell, seemingly fully recovered from her sixth round beating and as the fighters meet at center ring, the fans know it's still anyone's fight to win! Peregrym opens the action, just as she did in the previous round, with a big right hand... one that Jennifer anticipated, blocked, then countered with a crisp, short, right inside Missy's left hand. That shot hurt Missy who staggered and dropped her hands, but then she quickly recovered in time to block a second right from J-Law. Lawrence's left hook, however, couldn't be blocked and the hard shot to the right temple sent shivers through Peregrym's lush body. Missy forced to clinch as she's hurt by the head shot, and Jennifer immediately goes downstairs, ripping and tearing into Peregrym's belly with both fists. Missy again forced to clinch up high as her legs are like jelly and her lungs are burning with oxygen debt. J-Law using her left forearm to prop Peregrym upright, then slams two right hands into her midsection, doubling the brunette over! Missy blindly groping for purchase, her hands on Jennifer's shoulders as Lawrence heaves right hands up inside, devastating Missy's paunch, doubling her over in pain! As Peregrym's knees buckle, a final uppercut under her chin turns out her lights! She goes limp and crumples in a heap at Lawrence's feet! Peregrym's down and NOT GETTING UP! Missy can only get to her hands and knees before she collapses again and J-Law ends it with a dramatic, 'no doubt' KO8!
After: Missy slowly brought around on her stool while Jennifer's having her gloves cut off. J-Law coldly eyeing her rival across the ring as she gently rubs her throbbing breasts, recalling the mean-spirited attack on them by the buxom Canadian in the middle rounds of the fight. Is it time for payback, or will Lawrence let bygones be bygones; “heat of the moment” and all that? J-Law says something to Jeri Ryan as she starts across the ring, the women in Peregrym's corner gather protectively around their groggy fighter, forming up between Missy and the would-be intruder.
Charlize Theron climbed the steps in J-Law's corner and awkwardly climbed thru the ropes, hanging on when she almost lost her balance and fell head over heels. Lively and Lohan left their seats at ringside and moved to the bottom of the steps, just below where Jeri Ryan and Sharon Stone were standing in Lawrence's corner. Jeri had a wooden paddle with Greek letters on it in her right hand.
Seeing the forces gathering in the Academy corner to back up J-Law, several more of Missy's Lookout stablemates moved toward the ring to reinforce Cuthbert, Lovato and Emily VanCamp who were nervously retreating back toward Missy who was slumped, elbows on knees, flushed face in her hands, on her stool.
Lawrence didn't hesitate when she reached the skirmish line of Lookout membes, just bulled between Cuthbert, Lovato andV VanCamp and strode up to Peregrym, put her hands on her hips, glared at Missy and barked, “Get up bytch! I'm not done yet.” Missy looked up, slowly shook her head - wincing at the motion - then put her face back in her hands and ignored Lawrence, probably hoping she'd go away. She obviously didn't know Lawrence very well...yet!
“Wrong!” J-Law growled as she took two handfuls of Missy's hair and pulled her off the stool to her feet. Missy squealed and grabbed Jennifer's wrists, struggling weakly as the sturdy blonde pulled her face into her cleavage and held it there. “Take a good close look,” Jennifer said. “See what you did to those beauties? They're not happy about you slugging them and they want a few minutes of 'up close and personal' time to show you just how displeased they are with your performance.”
The Academy women were all in the ring now, clustered in Lawrence's corner, grinning and giggling among themselves, the older ones (almost everyone) clearly proud of their young protege. Young Lindsey Pelas was beaming like a kid sister seeing her older sibling as all grown up now. That was about to change, however.
“Enough Lawrence,” Cuthbert snapped, grabbing J-Law's right arm and spinning her around. Jennifer held Missy's hair with her left, keeping her face deep in her cleavage as she tried to wrestle her arm out of Cuthbert's grasp. Little Elisha was stronger than she appeared and it was a struggle, but Lawrence eventually freed her arm.
“Go away pee-wee,” Jennifer said. “Before you get hurt.” She turned back and wrapped the fast-fading Peregrym in both arms, again trapping her face to her chest.
“NO! You go away. That's enough of that crap,”[/i] Elisha said, shoving Lawrence and making her lose her balance. She against the ropes and had to let go of Peregrym to catch herself. Demi Lovato grabbed Missy and pulled her away from Lawrence who came off the ropes and shoved Cuthbert with her right hand and VanCamp with her left. Both women, caught off guard, flew back and landed hard on their butts. The crowd, or most of them anyway, burst out laughing at the scene. The Academy women applauded their stablemate. The Lookout contingent at ringside, on the other hand, didn't see anything funny about it and they rushed the steps and scrambled up through the ropes and into the ring behind Lawrence who had face off with VanCamp trying to wrest Peregrym back away from her.
Michelle Trachtenberg was first to reach Lawrence and she didn't wait for the rest of her stable. She leapt into the air, wrapped Jennifer's head a side headlock at the peak of her leap, then as she came down she sat and powered Lawrence face-first into the canvas. J-Law's legs were still in the air when she hit and her body just settled limp to the canvas. Everyone in the arena fell still and silent for a few seconds as they tried to makes sense of what they'd seen. Then pandemonium broke out!
Moving as one, the Academy charged en masse across the ring. Lookout, still dealing with the steps and the ropes in their corner, were slower to get into position and the Academy's initial charge swept Cuthbert, Lovato, VanCamp and Trachtenberg away like driftwood in a flood. All four Lookout women were thrown back against their sisters still getting into the ring and the result was a writhing, wriggling, pig-pile of well-dressed femininity on the canvas as the Academy piled on top; elbows, knees and fists flying without regard to whose, or what, body part they hit!
It took a while, but inevitably, certain well-established rivals became paired off as each one sought out her favorite target for a good old fashioned arse whuppin'. Charlize Theron and Yvonne Strahovski went at it as anyone could have predicted, with Theron having all the early advantage. She was wearing slacks, Strahovski a spaghetti strap, beaded, dress that restricted her ability to kick. Before Yvonne knew what was happening, her dress was down around her waist and in just a bra. But it also had freed her arms and she began to punch with her usually accurate, powerful, punches.
An unlikely, but not unexpected, pairing was Kate Upton and Blake Lively swinging fists. Both were in short skirts and blouses, but Upton had pulled Lively's blouse out of her skirt and up over her head, blinding her and trapping her hands inside. Kate held the 'bag' shut with her left hand while she pounded Lively's slender torso with her right.
Jeri Ryan arrived with a wooden sorority paddle and used it to good effect! She rammed it in Michelle Trachtenberg's belly, then as she folded over, smashed her over the head with it and Michelle went down like a ton of bricks! Jeri stepped over her and swung the paddle at Elisha Cuthbert, hitting her in the ribs and getting a squawk of pain for the effort. Ryan raised the paddle again, but Cuthbert tackled her and they went down in a catball.
Two proud blondes, Sharon Stone and Emily VanCamp, squared off; Stone fighting a classic stand-up style, popping EVC in the nose with a jab, then rocking her with a right hand. VanCamp shook it off and missed with right of her own, but lowered her head and tackled Stone, then pushed her butt back into the ropes. VanCamp punched Sharon's belly and ribs until Lovato arrived and together they wrestled the bigger Stone down. Once Sharon was on her back, she was defenseless and the two Lookout lovelies had the best of her after that!
Lindsay Lohan pulled Elisha Cuthbert off of Jeri Ryan and they went at it hammer and tong. Cuthbert was mad enough to chew nails and Lohan's body was a lot softer than nails. If Cuthbert wasn't enough, Demi Lovato soon joined Elisha after she left Emily VanCamp comfortably controlling Sharon Stone who'd put up a good fight for a woman nearly 60, but Emily - once she had the upper hand wasn't going to give it up! Cuthbert and Lovato easily pinned Lohan's arms and once Cuthbert scissored LiLo's legs, that pretty much ended her chances of getting up.
Lindsey Pelas arrived too late to save Lohan, but she gave Cuthbert a few uncomfortable moments before Elisha managed to land a couple of elbow strikes to the famously fabulous 'Pelas Puppies' which pretty much took the wind out of Pela's sails. Lindsey and Lindsay ended up flat on their backs head to head with Cuthbert and Lovato sitting on their chests facing one another playing “row, row, row the boat” having linked arms as they rocked and bounced merrily. Once Pelas was out, Cuthbert go up and went looking for her 'old friend', Charlize Theron.
Peregrym, still a bit dazed and confused after her KO, was still in better shape than Lawrence who'd had her head driven almost clear thru the thin canvas padding of the ring by Trachtenberg. Missy rolled her over and when she saw J-Law was in no shape to resist, Missy decided that since she'd had a close-up look (however brief) into Lawrence's cleavage (one Missy would later tell friends she thought “rather ordinary”) it was only fair she returned the favor. So Peregrym popped her top and dropped her big soft breasts on Lawrence's blank face and wiggled around until they had molded themselves to her visage. Then Missy propped her chin on her hand and watched as the rest of the action in the ring wound down to a satisfactory conclusion.
The only member of the Academy still struggling was Theron, due more to her being in a pile consisting of Yvonne Strahovski, Michelle Trachtenberg, Emily VanCamp, Elisha Cuthbert and Demi Lovato. Everyone wanted to get a piece of “The Golden Goddess” but there just weren't enough 'good parts' to go around, so the six women spend almost as much time arguing among themselves as they did wrestling Charlize.
Finally, matters reached their inevitable conclusion with Theron spread-eagled on the mat with Cuthbert pinning her left arm, Trachtenberg her right arm, VanCamp her left leg and Lovato her right leg. That left Strahovski to sit on her chest, her butt in Theron's face as she surveyed the results from her “Theron throne” (a term she liked so well she later tried to trademark - unsuccessfully).
Peregrym was prone on top of Lawrence; Upton held a dazed Lively on her knees by the hair; Lohan and Pelas were 69ed with Pelas on top, Demi Lovato riding them like a bronco buster; Stone was hanging in the ropes where Cuthbert had left her with her arms trapped and Ryan was on her back with Emily VanCamp straddling her chest with her hand clamped over Jeri's nose and mouth, just giving her a breath often enough for her to remain conscious, but not get enough air to resume fighting.
Yvonne got up, walked over and picked up Ryan's wooden sorority paddle and gave it a few testing swings. Satisfied with the feel of it, she strutted up and down the group studying the Academy members, then told the women of Lookout, “Get'm up on their feet and line 'em up here,” she indicated a line on the canvas with her paddle.
Once they had the six Academy women in a row, Yvonne had one of her stable bend them forward and hold them bent over by the hair. Then she changed her mind, “On second thought, straddle their head and put them in a standing head scissors. Hold their arms behind their backs so they can't use their hands.” The entire Lookout! contingent was present now - It was Upton w/Lively; Peregrym w/Lawrence; Lovato w/Lohan; Cuthbert w/Ryan; Jenna w/Stone; and Hudgens w/Pelas). That left Yvonne, Trachtenberg and VanCamp free.
After everyone was in place, Strahovski walked slowly along the line of raised bottoms, letting the wood paddle caress each butt in turn. She smiled as she saw the glutes tighten at just the slightest touch of the wood. If a woman was wearing a dress, Yvonne lifted the hem and folded over the woman's back. If, like Theron, she wore trousers, Yvonne pulled them down around her ankles. When everyone was prepared, she had Michelle Trachtenberg and Emily VanCamp join her behind Pelas. While Michelle and Emily helped Demi hold Pelas as Yvonne went first. She was followed by Michelle and finally Emily. Each had a turn with the paddle and gave Pelas' butt as hard a SMACK as they could when they swung the paddle. After three strokes, they let Pelas go and Demi joined them behind Lohan.
Each of the four gave Lohan a SWAT swinging as hard as they could. Lohan was sniffling and wiping tears from her eyes when they finished and let her go. Elisha Cuthbert joined them behind the next woman in line, Sharon Stone. They repeated the dance, with Stone getting FIVE smacks.
At each successive woman, the number of people swinging the paddle increased with Lively suffering SIX spanks, then Jeri Ryan got SEVEN! Jen Lawrence, the next to last, not only got EIGHT but Peregrym was allowed to give her one extra, because it had been J-Law's idea to use the paddle on her.
Finally, all nine of the Lookout women took a swing each at the behind of the 'bell cow' of the Academy stable, 'The Golden Goddess' herself, Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron. After four she was sobbing and after the seventh one, Theron could no longer stand and fell to her knees. Yvonne and Kate Upton picked her up and held her bent over as Peregrym and Trachtenberg completed the TEN, and then Yvonne and Missy each gave her one more apiece “so she'll have something to remember us by” Yvonne told them.
As Lookout left the ring to the cheers of the crowd, the Academy women (especially Theron, Lawrence and Ryan) were slowly crawling up the aisle toward their dressing room with by the rest of the stable limping and/or leaning on one another for support. Unlike the cheers for Lookout, the sound that accompanied the Academy women were mostly all jeers! * * * * Postfight: Looking back, Lawrence's knockdown at the end of round six was the turning point of the fight. Before that, Missy had been on a roll - winning six consecutive minutes (late 4th thru the last minute of rd 6). It all came apart for the brunette Canadian cutie after Lawrence's knockdown started a string of six minutes during which J-Law dominated! The heavier, younger, Lawrence simply wore Peregrym down until the Canadian couldn't take any more and succumbed to her overwhelming power.
This could well be a result that's chalked up to Natascha Ragosina's world class training; we saw Lawrence's corner make one adjustment after another countering Peregrym's moves. No doubt, Natascha's long reign as undefeated world champion eclipses the combined successes of Cat Bell, Nicole Kidman and Elisha Cuthbert, all of whom - while no doubt competent trainers - but even as a team they can't hold a candle to Ragosina's resume.
Peregrym shows up for the (long delayed) presser looking roughed up, but surprisingly chipper given what had to be a devastating defeat. But she quickly puts the media right. “OK, I lost a fight to a good fighter, no biggie - it's happened before and it'll probably happen again. But did you see how my 'homies' had my back in that brawl? THAT'S why I do this thing, because of women like that in my stable. I couldn't be prouder of them... and those bytches from the Academy have NOT heard the last of this. We'll review the video of that, take notes and take names. There will be some big time retribution.
“If they think we'll be satisfied - and believe me, it was sooooo satisfying beating their butts - that's nothing to what we'll do to them the next time we face them. They think they want a war? They're so gonna get an ARMA-FREAKIN'-GEDDON!
Not surprisingly, the women of the Academy were too busy “licking their wounds” to put in an appearance, although Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss were more than willing to speak on “behalf” of the Academy, Tay-Tay telling reporters outside the arena later, “I can't speak for Theron, of course, but it sure looked like she was enjoying herself, didn't it K?”
Kloss nodded, her head bobbing like one of those dogs on the rear window ledge of a barrio taxi. “Her face wasn't near as red as her bottom, but those sure looked like tears of joy... to me! She'll surely be 'all in' if Straho asks her for a replay... I know I would.”
When Taylor turned and looked at her incredulous, Kloss realized her mistake and quickly amended her statement, “When I said 'I would' I meant that if I were Strahovski I'd offer her a do over, not that I'd ... um... ah... er... well, you know that I wouldn't...” she blushed brightly and finally just shut up.
