BEFORE: It's another edition of the BBU International Series and the first one held in the Madrid Arena in the Spanish capital city. Local heroine Sara Carbonero provides the main attraction but this fight was set up by the Lioness Club front office in order to give their latest signing, Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated model Lily Aldridge another high-profile exposure opportunity around Europe. The Lioness brass thinks big about Aldridge's prospects of rising to the bantamweight/lightweight throne in the foreseeable future, something that Karolina Kurkova was previously denied. BBU TV's Georgie Thompson reckons Aldridge might well switch over to America full-time before she becomes the league's champion outright and with the crossover PPV scheduled to take part later this month, several options are considered for the gorgeous American model.

Sara Carbonero wears a white bikini set with black trim and golden gloves. Long dark brown hair in loose waves. Lily Aldridge wears a navy blue bikini set and white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division. Carbonero weighs-in at 117 lbs while Aldridge at 119.

Round 1:
Sara's thirsty for some proper action and tackles the model's midsection with a spirited close range assault to open the bout. Lily's earned herself a reputation of a very mobile and bendy fighter, something not all that common among her catwalk peers but even she must yield real estate when getting thumped by the hot-blooded Hispanic opponent. Sara - just like her husband Iker Casillas - is used to winning and running from the front and does a sterling job in shutting down the American prospect with the pure intensity of her boxing. She keeps drilling Lily's midriff to the point the model runs out of space and has to swing over the top from the back foot while being pinned to the ropes. Most of these efforts miss the target though and Carbonero cleans out shop with another very effective jabbing drive in the closing seconds.

Round 2:
Lily ups the tempo of her attacks but allthough she slams a solid left/right combo straight into Sara's face, the response meets an equal result and snaps the model's head back on the spot. Both women engage in a furious head hunting display that threatens to spill some familiar red liquor soon however Carbonero decides to change her targets first and whoops a left hook on the liver area to reel Aldridge back with a whimper. A quick uppercut on the jaw slices the American's high guard and wobbles her into a nasty hooking follow up on the chest. Ugh! That punch really removes some air from Lily's lungs and she drops back on the ropes with another painful shriek. Sara's right there to pounce on her opportunity and delivers a high-tempo jabbing assault that keeps the younger brunette covered in a tight earmuff for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
Lily upset another local heroine, Laetitia Casta, back in Paris last time out but she's having her gloves full with Carbonero tonight and even her highly-praised mobility and bendiness is neutralized so far tonight. She bounces off the Spanish girl's high guard early in the third and eats a steady response over the top which fuels her clinching survival tactics that dominate the best part of the round. Sara breaks free on a couple of ocassions and lands some single punches to the body but gets visibly frustrated by the blatant tactics and complains to the referee. Aldridge manages to escape his wrath and wins back some pride when she nails the TV journalist on the nose with a solid left/right combo that briefly wobbles her on her heels. However Sara can move her feet around the ring as well so Lily's intended follow up cuts thin air just as the clock expires anyway.

Round 4:
Carbonero keeps the swarming attitude going and stalks the model around the ring with more menacing jabs to the body. Lily reverts to the overhand swinging but misfires badly and eats a couple of nasty hooks along the way which slow her movements even further and eventually allow the Spanish girl to trap her along the ropes with the familiar jabbing display. Lily aches her pain out but manages to match her foe's intensity even if Carbonero increases it as they head into the final minute. These are all bruising punches and even Sara gasses out a little when she tries to connect with the younger brunette's boobs a little too often. Aldridge slams a left hook on the nose and almost recovers from the dangerous position before a tired-looking Sara leans on her and applies a clinch to see out the clock.

Round 5:
Sara's impressive performance comes at a price and she's visibly unable to match her feorcious intensity while Lily looks to have a little more in the rank. We're still not even at half-distance but physical shape is at premium in such a bitterly contested feud, despite the crowd's wild support Sara gets outworked in close range and eats a steady overhand jabbing series that drops her back and allows the American to pick her off in point-blank range. Aldridge lands a couple of really big hooks on the lips to finally drop the Spanish guard and wades in on the chest where Carbonero previously tried to inflict the supreme damage. Ugh! Sara yelps in pain and only grazes the California model in response before losing her footing and slipping back to the ropes in a hectic retreat. Lily smashes her high guard with a late rally and bangs in on the ribcage to raise the moaning volume and run away with a strong showing at the critical half-distance moment.

Round 6:
Sara jumps into another jabbing frenzy but that's a case of mind over matter that so often plagues ambitious free agents. Lily bides her time in mid-distance due to superior footwork and catches the Spanish TV reporter on the counter-attack when Sara slips forward and gets flushed with a right hand on the lips. Ugh! She wobbles onto her heels and fails to raise her arms in time for a proper follow up. And Lily slams a furious left/right combo that pierces the older brunette's nostrils before a swift left hook on the boobs cuts her air supply off for good. Sara yelps in pain and tries to apply another clinch but Aldridge's quicker to the post and slams a left uppercut that finds the Spanish girl's chin AND SENDS HER TUMBLING DOWN ON HER BACK!!! The Madrid audience didn't see that coming! And it's a bad one for the local heroine who spits out her gumshield in order to delay the count as much as possible. Still, it's a slow procedure from the ref who seemingly tries to help out the fallen woman... Sara beats the odds at eight and a half but looks affected by the knockdown and her chin must be hurting a ton... Lily winks back to Lioness coach Mel B. but doesn't press against the wounded rival, she still pummels her back to the ropes and Sara only wants to hear the bell now... she disappears behind a high earmuff but still takes a beating to the body and aches in significant bother at the bell.

Round 7:
It's all Lily now as the Spanish brunette fails to recover from her previous round disaster... instead of punishing her upstairs, the American model chops her ribcage to the point the bruises are visible from the sixth row... Sara's slumped on her heels in the center of the ring and simply can't escape from the striking range... Aldridge's methodically applying the weedkiller treatment and renders the TV reporter immobile in the corner just past the one minute mark. Carbonero swings so many futile punches it's almost sad to watch her efforts and Lily finally puts her away with a left hook on the ear followed by a right hand on the nose... Sara's gloves slumped by her breasts when the younger brunette threatened to land another jug muggin' combo... CARBONERO SLOWLY SLIDES ONTO HER KNEES and collapses face-first at Lily's feet. The Madrid Arena goes silent and even the slowest of counts won't save the Spanish day anymore. KO7 Lily Aldridge!!!

AFTER: Sara swallows the bitter pill of defeat - her first in BBU competition - but Georgie Thompson is convinced we're gonna see a lot of her in the future. She gassed herself out through five rounds which must be blamed on her lack of regular management and the local pressure could have forced her initially successful if ill-advised tactics. However Lily has emerged as a real contender and battled through adversity to maintain her unbeaten streak alive. She escaped all the Spanish heat and Georgie credits her elite prospects which proved decisive to rally back against a very dangerous floater.

There are rumours about Lily joining the BBU crossover PPV line-up later this month but she refuses to address them and only tells the media it's time for her to go back to the States to re-charge her batteries. That's a strictly business approach from the highly-touted model but Georgie Thompson conculdes the coverage by saying not every BBU pin-up girl must act like a spoiled brat - even in wake of an otherwise terrific victory.
