(Frankie's Foxes vs Free Agent)
Intro: The first fight on tonight's crossover preview card in Manchester's famous Old Trafford, sees two singers battle it out, as Little Mix's Petrie Edwards fights former Black Eyed Peas star Fergie. Perrie is currently 23 though her birthday is Monday, so she's hoping for an early birthday present to herself, she's 5'6 and the South Shields girl record is 3 wins, all by knockout and 6 defeats. While Fergie is 42 years old, stands at 5'1 3/4's, her record is 4 wins, 3 knockouts and 7 defeats, though her BBU record is 3 wins, 3 knockouts and only 1 defeat. This is also Fergie's comeback, having last fought in 2015 against youngster Anna Pooplewell, she lost in the 5th round by a knockout but hopes this return will be something better.
In the build up to the fight, there was several insults traded online with both girls fans backing them up to beat the hell out of the other. Fergie told a magazine "these young bytches need to know their place, I fought to break out as a star, I have heard that Perrie f***s her way to the top" She adds "I heard she upset her band mate Jesy (Nelson) by sleeping with her guy, though they pretend it didn't happen as Perrie leads them cowards with an iron fist, too bad I'm going to show she's a kitten with no claws" Of course Perrie took offence, replying on her social media "first me and Jesy are OK, I'm happy with my guy so why would I ruin my life, so Fergie better shut her mouth" Continuing "when I get my chance I am going to hurt that bytch! She is f***ing with the wrong Geordie" The weigh in saw both girls trying to get to each other, security on hand as both stunners are wearing bikinis (blue for Perrie, black for Fergie) both getting to weigh in but spitting insults off the scales at each other till they are led away off the stage.
Fight night, Perrie is out first with Myleene Klass by her side, she is wearing a white bikini with black gloves, her long blonde hair up in a ponytail as she heads to the ring. On her way down she spots her stable manager Frankie Cocozza with his new "favourite" Tulisa Contostovlos on his lap with her arms around him, Perrie winks at them as rumours are that Frankie has been promised Fergie once Perrie beats her, of course she has to beat her later. Climbing into the ring, she gets a loud cheer and several wolf whistles, giving the crowd a quick twerk, she smirks as she winks at the fans, then heads to her corner to warm up and wait for her opponent. Out comes Fergie, smirking as she stands at the top of the entrance ramp, her coach behind her as she wears a maroon bikini top with sequins on them, maroon bottoms and gloves, her hair is up in a ponytail. She jogs down to the ring but stops to laugh at Tulisa as she catches her eye in the VIP seats at ringside, Tulisa staring hard at her as Fergie turns to head to the ring. Climbing into the ring, she gets a good cheer, raising her fists into the air as she walks around the ring, spitting at the feet of Perrie and if not for Myleene getting in her way.
Before Fergie gets back to her corner with an innocent look on her face, she warms up to get ready for Perrie as the two women glare across the ring. Asked to come to the ring centre, the referee starts to regret it when the girls are in each others face, snarling and spitting insults at each other. As soon as they start shoving and are going to start swinging, the referee gets between them and tells them to settle down, then tells them to get back to their corners. Once he thinks he has control and both are back in their corners, he waves for the bell to be rung to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1: Out come the girls, Perrie not wasting anytime with probing punches, comes out looking to take the head off of Fergie. Who uses that lack of discipline to her early advantage, ducking under wild punches and coming back at Perrie with counter punches to the body or her head. Fergie licking her lips as pundits wonder if this has been her game plan since the fight was announced, to rile up Perrie into a state where she makes mistakes. It's working for the first minute as she sneaks to the inside to work the body of Perrie, hoping to chop down the bigger fighter and let her wear herself with misses. The problem is Perrie calms down slightly as she groans out in pain from the shots she's taking, as if they have woken her up to what Fergie is doing, she steps back as the older singer goes to sneak to the inside and rattles her with a right to the top of her head. Momentum changes as Perrie looks focused, Fergie trying to move her head out the way and sneak in, but the speed of Perrie's punches are allowing her to catch Fergie. A straight punch to the nose of Fergie pushes her back a step, now she's covering up as Perrie bangs away to the sides of her head. Fergie nearly on the ropes, if not for quick thinking from the former Black eyed pea star, by slipping under a right of Perrie and rushing back to the ring centre, that could of got ugly fast. The round ends with Fergie on the back foot, looking annoyed that she couldn't fully take advantage of her plan, while Perrie still looks pissed off, at least she is focusing as Myleene tells her to "kick her f***ing arse!" As if she wasn't trying too.
Round 2: Fergie is out and moving around Perrie, trying to confuse her to get to the inside, but the blonde stunner is catching Fergie around her face with clipping shots. The smaller fighter tries to get to the inside, but takes a right hook that turns her head and Perrie pounds her towards the ropes, a left cross puts Fergie down to her side! She doesn't look too badly hurt as she pushes herself up to her backside, looking up at Perrie with some worry in her eyes that she can't get in close. But she gamely pushes herself up to beat the count at 8, spitting insults at Perrie, who glares at her and looks ready to get back to work. Perrie too enthusiastic to get at Fergie, steps forwards to finish her off but Fergie again slips under some wild punches and this time as she works the body, she slips in a few punches to the sides of the Geordie's jugs. Pushing Fergie back to open up space, Perrie snaps a straight punch right onto the nose of Fergie, blood starting to trickle out of her nostril as Edwards presses forwards with long range punches again. Fergie trying to cover up and move her head, again though she is bulldozed backwards and ends up in a corner, Perrie snapping shot after shot to the head of her opponent. Only the bell stops her as Fergie shakes her head, blood running from a cut on her left cheek now as she is starting to look used up already. Perrie starting to enjoy herself as she jogs back to her corner, grinning as she sits on her stool and sees the damage she's done to Fergie.
Round 3: This time Fergie comes out looking to get advantage, she takes several stiff jabs on her forearms as she tries to dance around Perrie. But the youngster is too quick for her to move around and she eats a few straight punches through her guard to that bloody nose. Being forced back, she ducks under a left hook and gets inside, landing some dubious looking low punches as Perrie groans out in pain and complains to the referee. He sees a definite low blow and separates the girls, warning Fergie he will takes a point off next time she does something illegal and then disqualify her. Fergie though is right to be desperate as she takes a few more straight shots before she can get in close, once inside she looks OK as she has started to mark up Petrie's body. This is turning into Fergie's best round as Perrie doesn't seem to have shaken off the low blow totally, maybe she should have taken the offer of 5 minutes to recover. Fergie even nearly pushes Perrie onto the ropes, but she eats an uppercut and she's back in trouble again, Perrie smacking her with a right to that cut cheek and down goes Fergie again! Perrie looks confident that she's knocked out Fergie, but the brunette is stirring, shaking her head as blood runs down her cheek to the canvas. She pushes herself up to beat the count at 9, a slight wobble as she gets up, but the referee allows her to count as only seconds remind in the round. Fergie covering up as Perrie forces her backwards towards the ropes, the bell ringing to save Fergie this time, she shuffles back to her corner in a state as her coach has his work cut out getting her ready for the next round. Perrie standing in her corner, looking ready to pounce on what is left of Fergie, urging that bell to ring soon as Myleene tries to keep her calm.
Round 4: Fergie does come out to fight but she hasn't much of it left as she takes a straight to her nose and a left hook makes her stumble to the ropes. An uppercut catches her under the chin and she crumbles into a heap at the feet of Perrie, knocked clean out on her face as the referee waves the fight off.
After: A brutal display by Perrie, showing Fergie what happens when you piss her off, the winner standing with her hands up in the air as the crowd roar their support for her. Myleene rushes into the ring to hug Perrie from behind and tell her how proud she is of her, both giggling as they look at the wreckage of Fergie being attended to by medics and the ringside doctor. As Perrie heads to her corner, Myleene heads over to the doctor, slipping him some money and a note as she winks at him and he winks back. Whatever the deal she's done with him, it most likely involves Frankie, who looks to have finished making out with Tulisa to look up and get a big grin on his face that doesn't look simply proud his fighter won. Tulisa is rumoured to have told him "I'm not sharing a bed with you and Fergie, I'll kick her arse if you bring her to our hotel room" Frankie seen laughing as I guess Fergie's night is going to get worse whatever happens. Perrie strutting around the ring, as the crowd cheer her on, she stops to blow a kiss to Frankie, who winks back, before finishing her lap and leaving the ring. Well this could be Fergie's one and only return fight after being beaten round after round, but you never know what money does, maybe the right offer would entice her back. Perrie hasn't had the most successful start to her own career, but she is said to still want a piece of Marnie Simpson, whatever happens; she'll want to use this as a starting block to get onto a run of wins and not losses.
