SPREITLER/WINTER I must say Spreitler didn’t get off to a good beginning even before the first punch was thrown. She came in wearing a lilac bikini. While not as bad as pink, it is a wimpy color for a fighter. It’s a color like, here I am, please don’t hit me. Oh yeah, there was a fight. Spreitler got off to a good start winning the first two rounds. After that, it was all Winter. Winter had evened the fight up at the end of four. In the fifth, a one-two to the stomach and chin left Spreitler flat on the canvas for the count
MAYS/DENNINGS No, this is not a fashion column, but where are these girls getting their bikini colors. Mays came in wearing gray. That color is about as dull as an Adam Sandler movie. It great for aircraft carriers, but on a female fighter? Oh please. This bout was pretty much all Dennings. She took the first two rounds, floored Mays in the fourth and finished off in the fifth with a hook to the chin, This was May’s debut. She might want to reconsider her future in the FCBA
MOYNAHAN/UTGAARD Maybe this is a fashion column. Moynahan came in wearing magenta.I don’t recall seeing that color bikini in the Asylum before, but a least is is not a loser color. The color may be not a loser, but the woman wearing it was. A 46 year old who hadn’t had a fight in six years. How did the Wiz talk her into getting into the ring with Utgaard who was young enough to be her daughter?. Not much to talk about. The fight lasted about 7 1/2 minutes before Utgaard ended the bout with a big right hand to the chin.

DE LA GARZATORV De La Garza came in wearing orange. You don’t see that color very often, At least it is better than lilac or gray. In my review of the Bazz stable I commented that De La Garza needed to go. Torv put another nail in her coffin. The fight lasted a little more than three rounds. De La Garza won about three minutes of the ten minutes the fight lasted. A right hook sent De La Garza down for the count
McPHEE/SWAN McPhee came into this bout with one career win. She left with one career win. She did put up a better fight than I expected. The fight was even at the end of two and still even at the end of four. Swan took the lead again winning round five. Round six was supposed to be McPhee’s round to win. It didn’t happen. A Swan right hand left McPhee stretched out on the canvas like a piece of linoleum
CUOCO/McKINNEY I had no idea who the new Front Street fighter was going to be. Despite, rumors to the contrary, I knew it wasn’t me. I never expected McKinney, mainly because of her eleven bouts, nine had been at JMDD. I also never expected an opponent like Cuoco. A Hall of Fame boxer almost never fights in the Asylum other than a over the Hill and worn out Theron. I had no doubt that Cuoco would win this bout. I bet Smackey a bottle of whatever bourbon he wanted that Cuoco would win. The two alternated taking rounds with Cuoco taking rounds one and three and McKInney, two and four Cuoco went back into the lead, winning round five The sixth was McKinney’s big time as she hurt Cuoco twice. McKInney came out swinging in the seventh and sent Cuoco to the canvas with a right hook. The fight was over with Cuoco being counted out Is there a lesson here? Cuoco’s, normally a conventional bout fighter, last four bouts were at JMDD. Not a good idea. Oh yeah, Smackey decided he wanted a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 23 year old. You have any idea what that costs and how hard it is to get? Don’t want to ask the Wiz if he has any. I will haave to call Big Pauley
