CBAD Punchaholics Anonymous vs Once Upon A Time

Between the fights, Jennifer Morrison offered her opinion. "I'm not happy to see that little mouse walk away with a win at Emilie's expense, so I'm pretty motivated to get a little bit of revenge for her in any way I can! Amy Acker might be a good boxer, but she's no Pink. I'll take her down." Her opponent Amy Acker was in an equally competitive mood. "I've got a lot of confidence in Anna, but she really clobbered her girl even harder than I expected. It's a tough act to follow! I really need to show Jenny who's boss to defend the team's pride."

Morrison made her entrance in a black sports bra and boxing trunks. The blonde warmed up in her corner as Amy Acker entered, wearing a teal bra and matching trunks.

Round 1:
Both women began the fight testing the waters at a distance. Acker's jab and movement serve her well, but Morrison didn't roll over, striking back with a right to the ribs and a left to the nose in separate skirmishes. Acker shrugged it off and stuck to the plan, avoiding most of Morrison's threats, keeping her distance and striking when given the chance. Morrison seemed happier with the results at the bell.

Round 2:
The second round saw more of the same slow paced but tense fighting. This time, Acker was able to control the action better; the brunette landed a solid straight right to Morrison's chin early and escape the ensuing clash unscathed. Morrison still kept Acker moving, and blunted the worst of her offense with her own counter striking ability.

Round 3:
Acker settled in for another slow grind in the third round, but near the midpoint, Morrison rushed her and caught her by surprise. Slipping past Acker's straight punch, the blonde caught the taller fighter under the chin with her right fist, knocking her head back and leaving her unsteady on the spot. Morrison leaned into a left hook and Acker had enough awareness to move with it, but the blow still struck the taller brunette's face solidly. Further skirmishes tilted the fight in Morrison's favor while Acker simply fought to run out the clock. Once again, the brunette lost control, and Morrison was able to pummel her opponent back.

Round 4:
In the fourth round, Acker earned herself some space, keeping Morrison at a distance and interrupting her attempts to go on the offensive. Morrison persisted and continued to push, finding out mid attack that Acker was not to be pushed around as the brunette's right fist shot out to strike her nose with no chance for a counter. Still, the skirmish was painful for Acker as well, who absorbed blows to the ribs in the process. Morrison seemed persuaded, however, and kept her distance when possible.

Round 5:
Morrison made an early comeback in the fifth round, taking a jab to the nose in the process but landing a rising right to Acker's jaw as her reward. Acker winced and fought on, but Morrison beat her to the punch and knocked her off balance with a blow to the chin. Looking unsteady, Acker covered up and backed off, but Morrison managed a repeat performance soon enough. Acker began to wilt as Morrison piled on the damage, only barely resisting enough to avoid catastrophe.

Round 6:
In the sixth round, Morrison charged in to finish off a weakened Acker. Acker was uncooperative, both by refusing to go down, and refusing to look particularly weakened. The brunette was able to harass Morrison successfully, often surprising her with quick strikes before she could make a move. When the two clashed, Acker was able to grind out small, painful wins over Morrison, as she failed to control the blonde completely, but punished her every misstep.

Round 7:
Acker went head to head with Morrison in the opening of the seventh round, bashing her in the nose and escaping without a scratch as Morrison struggled to find the stubborn brunette. After a minute of hit and runs from Acker, Morrison was out of breath, gloves heavy. Acker applied the pressure, tagging Morrison cleanly on the side of the face as the blonde failed to connect again. Near the end of the round, Acker let loose with a flurry of punches, ending with a straight right to Morrison's chin. The blonde's legs gave out instantly, and she flopped to the mat on her back, unresponsive. Morrison lay motionless, her lips parted and her eyes shut. After ten seconds, she had managed to open her eyes, stare at the ceiling, and blink; KO 7 Acker.

"You can see how muscly she is in pictures, but it's not the same thing as seeing her up close. She's very impressive physically! And I've got the bruises to prove it." The somewhat battle damaged, but nevertheless victorious Acker cracked a grin. "Maybe if it was a pure guns against guns battle it'd be me over there recovering. But in the real world, it was a great event for us. Anna and I beat your girls, Once Upon a Time!"

Several weeks later, De Ravin commented on the event. "Well, I obviously would have preferred a different result, but I can't complain about Anna. She's been helping me prepare for some important wrestling matches... obviously I finish up every workout just about as beat up as I did when we boxed, but it's all worth it for the skills I'm gaining. Joanna isn't going to know what hit her."
