TESS VALMORE

The June PPV was a fine card, but was the smallest of the year. I did OK, but not great in my predictions going 12-7. The main problem was that I missed all three of the title bouts. That has been my problem recently, just can’t get the title bouts right.

Upton rudely interupted Righetti’s march to the Hall of Fame and denied her another title. Upton had control of the first part of the fight. Righetti looked like she might pull the win off in the seventh when she decked Upton, but it was not to be, as Upton successfully defended her title by knocking Amanda out cold in the eighth. It was an impressive win for the blonde

I am a big fan of Portman, so naturally I was disappointed she lost the title. I thought sure she had in won in the seventh, but you have to give Fox credit. She got to her feet and eventually won the bout and the title.

VanCamp successfully defended her title by coming back from behind early in the fight to KO Kelly in the eighth.

In a bout that had title implications, Mary Elizabeth Winstead took a eight round KO win over Jennifer Lawrence to the bank and now seems in line for shot a Lima’s title. There was as much action after the fight as there was during, but I won’t go into it as it was not becoming to any involved

It had been a long time since Anna Torv had fought a ranked fighter. After tonight, it will probably be a long time before she faces another. It did not work out well for her.

It was a good night for MIssy Peregrym. She took care of a tough Taylor Cole in four. That should help her regain some lightweight standing however, I still think she she move back down to bantam

It was good to see Adrianne Palicki back in the ring. I hope she becomes active as the lightweights sure could use her in the mix. She has been a top ten fighter

Atwell who normally fights as JMDD won her first conventional bout. Cuoco who was thrown into a JMDD tournament last year has not won a fight since returning to conventional fighting. She is certainly out of the top ten lightweights

Cheryl Coles win over Shahi could well earn her a title shot against Fox

Scodelario beat Frege. That was no surprise. The question is why is Frege still getting fights? She hopeless

Speaking of hopeless. Grande lost her eighth straight and nine of her last ten Of course her manager didn’t help her. You have to ask why he would throw her into the ring with a Hall Of Fame fighter who was four inches taller. He didn’t know Williams was four inches taller?

Michelle Ryan’s reputation took a hit but it probably won’t cost her a top ten ranking due to the scarcity of viable welters. I thought Moore might be yesterday's news, but apparently not.

All in All it was an enjoyable card. Good fights and no big upsets. Now I got to get ready for the Ayslum card which goes in a couple hours
