Before: “That was OUR win she poached!” Kristin referring to Olivia’s one-sided victory over Sammi Hanratty in December. “Now I get the privilege of showing her what happens when you steal from the Consortium!”

“Sammi’s people challenged me!” Olivia defends herself. “They thought it would be an easy win. They thought wrong. Something for other people to think about.”

The Swans have matches tonight, but HISC royalty Mish Williams and Claire Danes are in the front row, accompanied by new bantam prospect Priyanka Chopra. Tractorpull notably NOT present in the pressbox, apparently continuing to view this bout as not worth their attention. Kristin in bright royal blue bikini; small white gloves; long brown hair straight, loose. New year, new look for Olivia: Black bikini with high-waisted bottoms, chinlength hair, black gloves.

R1: Kristin mixing it up, planting & pitching with Olivia, then up on her toes & melting away, using defense to set up offense. Holt stepping-to and chucking bombs—Kreuk slipping under, answering snicker-snack on the body, then fading away to the side. Kris pestering with the jab, shooting it off the hip while rotating to the left, but basically looking to come in off blonde miscues and welt her ribs and waist. Kreuk taunting Holt with a big smile at the bell, new girl already hot and bothered.

R2: Kris flashing-eyed, intense - weight on her front foot, busy, straight poking mitts keeping Olivia off balance. Kreuk bouncing her mitts brisk off Holt's face, blonde crouching forward, getting tagged, then forced to adjust as Kris steps to the side. Kreuk reversing direction, jabbing as she circles, then fading a bit to lure Holt into scrubbing face punches. Midway through, Olivia bobbing at the waist, popping a stiff, sudden jab - she's got Kristin flustered, staring into short, chopping right hands as younger fighter comes forward strong. Holt getting her prey on the ropes, shoving Kreuk at the shoulders, beating her body hooks and double-plugging right hands, veteran elbows in, trying to fold herself forward and ride it out. Kristin on her heels much of the round, swiping back in spots with brisk shoe-shining flurries, but she can't spin off into open space as Olivia pins her girl to perimeter.

R3: Olivia coming forward, looking to get big on Kristin, pays the toll. Kreuk sliding back, weaving under the jab, then walking Holt into a clouting check-hook, blonde blinking when mop up hooks and crosses bursts against her defenses, forcing her to cover up. Kris’s face taut with aggression, lathering hooks against Olivia’s flank as newbie tilts forward behind her gloves; sweeps right hands across lower back. Vicious, clawing combination punching has Holt stumbling forward--Kreuk sidestepping, constantly turning her blonde as Olivia tries to rally. Middle minute, Holt staves off a shutout with some robust, workmanlike swinging rights and lefts to Kreuk’s midriff. Kristin gritting her teeth, bopping it back outside while tapping jabs to Olivia’s face. Kreuk runs the clock outside: Holt visibly wobbly butt, more than a little shocked to have been rocked by her gamin foe.

R4: Hot body swap, Kristin changing up, looking to finish, leaning in shoulder-to-shoulder, rubbing tousles and working. Digging hup-hup exchanged in turns, both girls reaching in after getting off and trying to body the other back like they were welterweights. Breasts, ribs, tummies take a tanning; cold hearts, quick mitts hard at work in close. Kreuk with those cat-quick paws gets the better of it--she’s not hurting Holt, but she’s more adept at coming off the body and clipping chin hooks or uppercuts--often book-ending the exchanges as blonde falls behind the punching pace. Bell: girls still digging at one another--ref has to pull seething flyweights apart by respective elbows to enforce the break.

R5: Olivia takes control with the jab, using it to establish a little distance. Holt will edge in and hook hard to the waist, but she’s not laying in mouth-on-shoulder anymore. Kreuk’s proved she’s quicker, so Olivia takes those options away from her foe by staying outside. Harsh, uncompromising poke lumping Kristin up, dazing her, and sudden, tart right crosses spank veteran’s face to the side. Nice methodical beating--Holt extending on punches, looting the breadbasket whenever Kreuk covers up, but otherwise content to bang away from outside. Kris not routed, but she’s shying away, in constant stepping retreat, right eye swelling badly, left side of her face shiny with hurt. Olivia with jab-superiority, tap-tap-tapping away, dictating all terms; right crosses clean up behind the poke, finding Kreuk’s face again and again and again. Medium-strength slugging, Holt in a wonderful rhythm, never over-swinging, always well-balanced, it might be costing her a KO, but it’s keeping Kristin from getting off.

R6: Kristin’s hurting, but now SHE’S the one coming bravely forward, veteran determined not to give into the ingenue, gives Oliva all she’s got to the crowd’s roars. Wild swinging by both, but Kreuk is getting shabbier as she chooses to slug it out. Kris recklessly forward, has Olivia backpedaling for much of the first minute, but younger blonde takes the battle one punch at a time, taking command again. Kreuk still shooting back hooks, hoping for luck, almost foolishly still going forward, walking into Holt’s clobbering punches. Hammering right hands have Kristin cringing, finally driven backwards groaning. Olivia just whacking her girl heavy and hard now from all sides but Kreuk STILL FIRES BACK. Kris sobbing out, taking enormous punishment but STILL punching when a powerful right swivels her head, and SHE’S STOPPED! Olivia catches her right on the chin, Kreuk freezing and collapsing down on the spot, lies a KO’d ruin near the ropes, mouth open, stretched out, head lolling over to the side… that’s a KO6 for Olivia freakin’ Holt!

After: Olivia open-mouthed as realization sets in. That’s a title-contender she just beat! She stopped being a hot young prospect when Kristin hit the canvas. With this win under her belt, she’s in the title picture. Every flyweight looking for attention is going to be looking for her, and she’s earned the enmity of the best flyweight stable in FCBA history!

Mishy and Claire stood up when Kristin went down, turned and left when the count hit 10. Chopra hesitated, then followed them. Kreuk left alone and stranded in the middle of the ring. The scrum around Holt is too thick for a winded Tess to penetrate, so she hustles over to the beaten veteran. Kris in no mood to talk, shoves the reporter out of her way as she makes for the back!
