Before: “Oh, this is definitely my biggest fight so far,” declared Dani Campbell resplendent in her sparkling new WONDER WOMAN DC Comics tee-shirt and cobalt blue short shorts. “I feel I am ready to become a serious contender at Flywight and knocking the block off ‘Gomie’ over there is my first big step. I hope you all have your DVR’s on because this fight is going to an historic classic as it will mark my ‘Arrival’ in the world of Big Time Flyweights.”

There is a rude noise from other podium down the stage. It is Selena Gomez wearing a Lioness Club of America tee shirt with golden short shorts. She is looking at Danielle with derision.

“Oh, cut the baloney, Campbell! You’ve built your career on kicking the feeble asses of rookies like Dove Cameron, Sammi Hanratty and Zoey Deutch. Oh yeah, you beat Kat Graham last time. Maybe she is a cut about the rest of those other losers, but still Graham is nothing compared to ME! I have been fighting the REAL flyweights like Nessa Hudgens, Demi Lovato and Mish Williams—“

“You lost to all three of them, didn’t you?” Danielle is quick to respond.

“Well, I beat Anna Kendrick, I beat Emilia Clarke and I beat Emma Watson my last time out!” Selena replied with growing indignation.

“But you lost to Lily Collins and Mila Kunis!” DC pointed ouit.

“As if you could beat any of them!” Selena snapped.

“Never said I could—at least not yet--,” DC conceded then added, “--but I know I can beat you, Gomie, dear and, as I have been saying, you’re my first step up and considering the size of your ass, that’s a pretty good boost.”

Selena turned several shades of red and white: “You two-bit jobber! Don’t you dare insult my ass.”

“Big Ass! Big Ass! Gomie’s Got a Big Ass!” chanted Dani is a very infuriating sing-song voice.

Selena let out a shriek of fury and charged across the stage. Danielle looked startled, but managed to get into a fighting crouch just before the angry Selena slammed into her. Danielle somehow managed to stay on her feet as they crashed into the edge of the stage, but then she managed to grab two fistfuls of Selena’s tee shirt and use it try to fling Selena back across the stage. However the fabric tears free and Danielle went down. Selena was left standing there in pale yellow bra, but then she reached down and hauled DC to her feet her t-shirt. DC’s seemed to have been made of a stouter material as it did not tear until Selena used it to whip Dani into the curtains that framed the back of the stage. Dani found herself in her white satin bra with a golden DC monogram on the cups. Dani lost her balance and slid down the curtains, but held on trying to catch herself.

Selena then leaped onto to Dani and suddenly the whole curtain came down on them. They could be seen (and heard) fighting furiously. Suddenly tattered black short shorts were thrown out, Then shredded golden short shorts appeared. It was at this point that FCBA Security appeared to drag the furious young ladies out. (It was observed that DC was in a white thong with a DC monogram on the front and Selena was in a black thong with the LCA monogram in gold thread. The photos of these went viral almost as soon as they were posted).

“Selena Gomez should be severely fined by the Front Office for attacking our poor Danielle Campbell,” Autumn Reeser, PLP spokesperson told Archer News reporter Skip Tracey, who then added: “Not that we expect that to happen. They just love a pre-fight brawl in the Front Office.”

Selena Gomez herself told Skip: “Me fined? What about my being provoked by that nasty piece of Puncher trash? Well, just you wait, Mr. Tracey, ‘Wonder Women’ Campbell isn’t going to looking so wonderful when ‘Super Selena’ gets done with her!”

With all that in the pre-fight, it was no wonder this had become one of the most anticipated bouts of the card. As soon as Selena and Danielle were announced, the crowd went wild with homemade posters: “WE LOVE YOUR ASS SELENA!” “CANCEL DC!” “SELENA FOREVER!” “DC: THE RISING STAR!”

Danielle comes to the ring accompanied by Troian Bellisario, Melissa Benoist and Hayley Atwell as well as trainer Nia Peeples. Selena is escorted by Minka Kelly, Odette Yustman and Cassidy Freeman with Claudia Schiffer the LCA head trainer. The two forces glare at each other across the ring. The referee seems determined maintain order and gets everyone but the two fighters to leave, It is at this point that Danielle and Selena’s robes are removed.

Selena is in a golden bikini with matching boots and gloves (black laces). Danielle is in a bright blue bikini with a golden DC monogram across the back. She wears dark blue boots and gloves with lighter blue laces. Both have their hair in fightin’ braids. They give each other fierce looks, but the referee is firm as he gets them through the instructions without ado. He skips the glove tap and sends them to their corners. The crowd rises to their feet in eager anticipation and the bell resounds through the arena. It’s on!

R1: Selena showing good footwork as she works Dani from the mid-distance. She’s striking at Dani’s head to disrupt her concentration and thwart any offensive moves. Danielle trying to do some moving herself to work her way in close, but Selena is a slippery vixen. Dani finally seems to lose patience and just rushes in with a flurry of punches to the chest and ribs. Selena falls back and uses the jab. Dani getting banged to the jaw and the of the head, but she’s now close enough to give Selena’s jaw a taste of her right. Selena finds herself drawn in close, but she now puts a pounding attack on Dani’s young juggs. Dani pushed back, tries to use the jab, but takes a sharp left/right to the belly. Dani falling back, but Selena doesn’t want to stay in close, preferring mid-range shots to the flanks to finish the round. A close stanza, but this one gies to Selena Gomez.

R2: Danielle trying to be more mobile this round and try some distance punching. Selena proves better at both smacking Dani about the head and slipping back to evade the counters. Dani doesn’t waste time: she does what she likes and bores in with speed. Selena finds her way blocked and Dani bringing some nasty shots to sting Selena’s juggs and then Dani clips her chin with right/left that has Selena slowing down. Dani moving in close. Selena may not like the close-in stuff, but she can stand and fight if she has to. Strong, youthful punching to the body at short range. Both bodies are feeling those blows, but they both stubbornly hang in with belly and breasts getting worked over. Then Dani surprises Selena with an overhand right to jaw. Selena shuddering, but instinctively covering up so Dani can’t build on it. Selena does seem to slow her counters after that punch and she does look a little shaky at the bell. Judges rule in Danielle’s favor, but Selena kept in close.

R3: Selena moving with some deliberation as the new round gets started. Danielle seems cautious, looking for a trick as she circles and punches. Selena seems to be trying to keep some distance between herself and Dani, but the young Puncher decides it is safe to make a charge and she does, Dani aiming first at the head, but when up go Selena’s gloves, she hooks hard rights and lefts into Selena’s stomach. Selena doubled up with a gurgling moan and Dani then brings a powerhouse right to Selena’s already bruised and swollen jaw. Selena hit and goes spinning away. SELENA GOES DOWN! Selena sprawling on her side, stretched out and struggling as Dani hurries to neutral corner. Selena rolls to all fours and then rises so that she is seated on the back of her heels. She shakes her head trying to clear the cobwebs and then drawing her breath she forces herself to stand. She is just able to beat the count at “NINE!” Selena covering up as the action resumes and uses her jab to increasingly good account to keep Dani back with stinging shots to the face and breasts. Dani slows and grows wary as the round winds down, but thanks to the knockdown she knows she’s won the round wide.

R4: LCA trainer Schiffer seen in close consultation with Selena during break. Across the ring, Nia Peeples in deep conversation with Danielle. Must have been the same advice to both: attack! Selena seems more than willing to get in close and beat DC at her own game. Danielle more than happy the battle it out up-close-and-personal. Two of them are toe to toe and looking each right in the eye as they bring their fists slamming home to breasts, belly and ribcage. Selena looking more comfortable with this type of fighting now and she’s really doing a number on DC’s rack as well as hooking her deep and hard to the belly. Dani stubbornly hanging in and giving Selena’s stomach and juggs a hard time, but it is not discouraging the veteran. DC starting give around and shifts to using a jab to try to strike at Selena’s face. Selena takes the first few shots to the head, but then does a good job of being an evasive target. They go down to the bell with Selena getting the last shot—a sneaky cracking left to the jaw that leaves Dani on trembling stems and looking at Selena’s triumphant grin. Round to Selena Gomez close, but definite.

R5: Danielle slumped on her stool during break the PLP corner crew works on her. She looks woozy as she rises and goes looking for Selena. Unfortunately, Selena has come bounding off her stool and can see just where her opponent is slowly approaching, Selena moves to the mid-distance and sends a strong right-left combo into DC’s face. DC comes to a dazed halt and Selena then puts a right cross/left hook combo into her exposed chin. DOWN GOES DANI! DC rocked back on her heels just keeps going and lands hard on her butt. She sits there with bewildered look on her face and then looks up to see Selena gloating down at her before turning away to the neutral corner. Dani struggling to get back up. She remembers to wait until her had stops spinning and then rises at “EIGHT!” Referee checks her out. Dani looking fierce, clearly insisting she can continue. Fight resumes. Dani ready to counter Selena’s follow-up with a strong jab. Selena not pressing in too close, but roaming the mid-distance, trying to get in more head knocking shots, but Dani gets more upper body movement as the round progresses. Dani recovering well as they finish up, but the knockdown has made it Selena’s round wide, but DC giving the veteran “I’m-not-don-yet!” look as they break at the bell. Selena just gives her a sneer of “Oh-yes-you-are!:” contempt.

R6: Danielle has been worked on hard by the PLP corner team. Nia Peeples encouraging her fighter and DC comes out full of fight. She needs it as Selena Gomez tries to blitz her at the opening bell. Selena zips across the ring and tries to trap Dani in her own corner. Danielle able to get her defenses up quicker than Selena was hoping and Selena plows into a leather storm of jabs that send her spilling back with her face badly banged up. One jab caught Selena square in the right eye and it seems to swell rapidly. DC sees the eye and manages two more blows until Selena drives Dani back with a desperate jab to the nose that draws blood. The two of them now plunge back at each other. It doesn’t appear to be so much tactical thinking as they both just want to break the other down with rage-fueled punching power. It is quite thrilling to watch as they go at it all-in, bracing their feet to leverage more power to their gloves. Arms are churning like piston rods. The breasts and upper ribcages are taking the worst of this frenzied attack, but then Dani stuffs some short hard hooks into the pit of Selena’s stomach. Selena grunting loudly and then gasping for air. DC senses she’s winning this shelling match and finds more power to strike at Selena’s body. Selena forced back, but she fights it step by step until she nearly on the ropes! Only the bell allows Selena to escape being trapped on the ropes, but she looks wobbly getting back to her corner. Dani looks weary, but has a satisfied smile on her bruised lips as she turns away to her own corner.

R7: Noe it is the LCA corner’s turn to revive their battered fighter and for trainer Claudia Schiffer to encourage a dazed Selena. Selena does seem to look better coming off her stool, but she is back to fighting at mid-distance, clearly trying to keep Danielle back until she can fully recover. DC shows patience, she slowly circles around Selena and trades distance shots with her. Looks to be more like probing than a serious offensive by the young Puncher. Minutes tick by and they are in a rhythm of strike-and-counter. Selena starting to look comfortable with this, but then Dani strikes. Danielle suddenly closes in, smacks Selena with hard hooks to the belly to back her up and bring down her guard. Selena groaning as her midsection is again under heavy shelling and then DC sends a sudden straight right into Selena’s swollen right eye. Selena struck hard and recoils in pain-racked confusion. Dani then brings two ripping uppercuts into Selena’s chin. SELENA’S FEET LIFTED OFF THE CANVAS AND SHE CRASHES DOWN ONTO HER BACK. Selena lands and actually bounces before settling a starfished position, arms outflung over her head and legs apart. DC allows herself a second to take in the sight and then scampers to the neutral corner. Referee moves in and starts counting. Selena starts slowly moving and rolls to one side, then tries to push herself up, but she can’t get her legs to cooperate. She looks up in misery as she hears:

“EIGHT!....NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”

THE WINNER: DANIELLE CAMPBELL DEFEATS SELENA GOMEZ KO7!

After: Danielle gives a loud war whoop of victory. She mounts the nearest turnbuckle to raise her arms in triumph and drink in the roaring support of the crowd. When she jumps down from the turnbuckle she is immediately surrounded and given a group hug by her PLP sisters Troian Belloisario, Melissa Benoist, and Hayley Atwell. Then the four them march across the ring to where Selena is sitting on her stool, a towel over her head as she hangs it in obvious misery. Around Selena are gathered Minka Kelly, Odette Yustman, and Cassidy Freeman along with trainer Claudia Schiffer.

“Hey, Gomie, you ready to come out and help me celebrate my big milestone?” Dani calls out. ‘’You see I was right, going over your big ass did give me a big boost up!”

“Stop insulting my butt,” Selena growls, throwing off the towel. Her face was a mass of multi-colored swellings, but the most spectacular was that right eye which looked to be well on its way to the Class A Shiner.

“I am not insulting your rear end. I am just stating a fact,” DC continued. “Now come on. Get up or do I have to haul you up?”

“Watch your mouth, kid!” Odette said warningly.

“You stay out of this,” Melissa Benoist said commandingly.

“We don’t take orders from you bimbos!” Odette replied. (It suddenly dawns on observers Odette has been on Melissa’s SUPERGIRL program. There some backstage tension the public hasn’t heard about—until now)

“Who are calling a bimbo?” Melissa replied clearly growing agitated.

“Just back off!” Minka Kelly contributed.

“Why should we?” Troian Bellisario. “Unless poor Selena here is just too traumatized.”

“Minka said: ‘Back off!’” Cassidy Freeman now added.

“No! Unless, of course, Selena begs for mercy,” Hayley said exchanging a smirk with a nodding Danielle.

“Just shut up! I’m ready!” Selena cried jumping to her feet, up then hissed: “Just remember, Campbell, there will be consequences for whatever you do.”

“Then I better enjoy this while I can,” Dani declared and grabbed Selena by the arm and hustled her away from the corner. She then used her free hand to wind the back of Selena’s bikini exposing her buns. “Now everyone can judge for themselves how big they are!”

“You rotten twit—I---OWWWWW!!!” Selena indignant cry turned to squeal of pain as Dani yanked on the rolled up bikini bottom to give Selena a sharp wedgie.

“Time to get moving! Step lively there ‘Big Ass’!” Dani called out and gave Selena to spanks opn the bottom with her free hand as the other hand now kept one arm locked between Selena’s back.

Selena alternated between angry outbursts which were followed by squeals and wails from more wedgies and spanks. It was long, slow trip, but Danielle loved posing at every stop. Selena was finally delivered back to her stablemates looking shellshocked and drained of energy,

“You are going to be SO sorry you crossed us,” Odette warned (looking right at Melissa Benoist).

“It’s a chance we were glad to take,” Troian replied. “We aren’t afraid of you jobbers any more than we’re afraid of Foxfire or anybody else.”

The Puncher girls all nodded and crossed their arms defiantly. The LCA girls crossed their arms and glared. Then Claudia Schiffer appeared.

“That’s enough for one night. We’re going back to the locker room,” Claudia told her girls, and then added. “and we’ll talk about what to do about this.”

Nia Peeples had now joined her fighters: “You trying to scare my girls, Claud?”

“Oh there you are Peeples,” Claudia said, “No, just letting them—and now you know-- that this isn’t over.”

“Never thought it would be,” Nia coolly and then turned her fighters: “Come on, we got some celebrating to do with Dani here.”

The two teams departed the ring, but the arena (and soon after social media) as a-buzz at what this all could mean. Still, nearly everyone watching agreed this had been a close fight and an impressive one for the PLP’s rising flyweight Dani Campbell. She had survived a knockdown from a none hard-hitter and come back to knock Selena Gomez out. Flyweights fans couldn’t wait to see who DC would fight next. Meanwhile fans of Selena Gomez and the LCA, while dismayed at her lost, were nevertheless confident their beloved “Gomie” would bounce back (and not a few were already anticipating a grudge re-match with the disrespectful Dani C.). Flyweight fans in general could be pleased that there still plenty of competition and rising faces in their favorite division.
