OFFICIAL FCBA "NEW YEAR, NEW FACES" PPV

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Shay: 30 YO 5’7 ½, 22-19-9, 20 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers
Lea: 32 YO, 5’6, (FCBA Record) 8-4-0, 7 KO since 2012. French Union

Before: Lea Seydoux is the current holder of the BBU Bantamweight, but she is no stranger to FCBA rings. She’s scored wins in 2015-16 over such notable FCBA fighters as Megan Fox, Olivia Munn and Nina Dobrev.

“I regret that I was unable to visit the FCBA in 2017,” says the charming and sexy French actress. “but I am back at last to take on Shay. I’ve heard a great deal about her and I am very pleased for this chance to fight her.”

The equally charming and sexy Shay Mitchell smiles winningly: “Some of my earliest celebrity boxing fights her in the BBU back in 2011. I am sorry I didn’t get to meet Lea back then, but, frankly I am a better fighter today than I was back then. I feel ready to take on Lea. I am sure it will be an exciting fight.”

Lots of friendly photo sessions in the pre-fight. Those who like it when these shoots turn into hair-pulling, top-tearing catfights are disappointed, but those who prefer their boxing straight are looking forward to this “Trans-Atlantic Clash of Champions!” (translated from the cover of France’s leading celebrity boxing publication LA BELLE BOXEUR and is a refeence to Shay being a former FCBA Bantamweight champion.)

Shay is in red one piece swimsuit. Lea is in a white one piece swimsuit with a flowering vine motif. Red gloves and boots for Shay with black laces. Her hair is in a simple ponytail. Lea has green gloves and boots with white laces. Her shoulder length blonde hair is free, but wetted down. Brisk and professional ring instructions and promptly the two fighters are in their corners awaiting the bell. It rings…

R1: Lea showing early aggression as she swats Shay in the cheekbones to get things rolling. Shay stuffs an answering hook to Lea’s belly and very quickly they are in close, bumping up against each other as they jerk short, wicked punches into tummy, ribs and tempting breasts. Good solid smacking with neither fighter wanting to back down so early in the action. Shay is working Lea’s solar plexus and too many shots there force Lea to give ground. Lea throws up a good jab that busts up Shay’s face and makes her pull back. Pause for circling and then they move in again. Again Shay able to drive back Lea with those shots to the solar plexus. Lea looking pained but she lashes back to Shay’s face and she’s definitely lumping up the brunette’s face, but Shay not backing off. Tight battle right down to the wire, Bell sounds. Shay is awarded the around by a close margin.

R2: Lea not backing off as she moves in on Shay as the new round begins. She is showing effort to shield her solar plexus from Shay continued attack. Lea having success with alternating punching to the head (especially Shay’s chin) and body (especially Shay’s chest). Shay trying to hang in as she punches at away at Lea’s breasts and stomach, but Lea finally able to drive Shay back with a sudden hook to the belly that doubles Shay up as she stutter-steps back. Shay manages to get some distance to recover, but Lea’s on her again and they pound away once more. Lea gets an overhand right to smack Shay in the nose and draw blood. Shay frozen for a moment and gets punched hard to the belly by Lea. Shay sullenly pulls back as she brings her jab into play. Bell ends a very hard-fought round and this one goes to Lea Seydoux.

R3: Shay seems to have lost her taste for close in action. She shows some quick striking, quick withdrawing tactics as she fires away at Lea’s face before dodging the counters. Lea finds herself chasing the nimble Shay and looks increasingly frustrated in the process. Shay happy to add to Lea’s frustration with more hit and run tactics. She manages to land a hard right to Lea’s bruised solar plexus and this one sends a noticeable tremor through the French champion. Shay then ventures in close, but gets driven back by well-aimed jabs that do more bruising damage to her face. Shay back to the hit-and-run, though Lea seems to be adjusting to it more effectively as the round ends. Still, Shay wins the round wide.

R4: Lea now showing mobile tactics in this round as she engages Shay it a swirling battle of circling movement, Both fighters plunging in and then withdrawing. Lea smacking Shay hard to the head and midsection to take some the speed out of the brunette’s legs to neutralize the tactic. Lea herself employs tactic very nicely with shots that hurt Shay to the body and head. Shay goes on the defensive and Lea is dancing around her keeping up the pressure. Shay is buttoned up and not suffering much serious hurt, but she is letting Lea pile up the points. Lea books a nicely won round with a comfortable margin.

R5: Lea resuming the hit and run, but like Lea herself, Shay is now to adapt to the tactic. Lea getting smacked around hard to the jaw when she tries to come in and Shay adds hooks to the body as well. Lea starting to slow down from the defensive punishment. Shay now goes on the attack and strikes first at that solar plexus. Lea shuddering from blows to the vulnerable area and drops her gloves protectively. BAM! BAM! BAM! Shay has clearly been waiting for this as she smites Lea to the jaw with lefts and rights. BOP! BOP! BAM! Three uppercuts in a row to the chin and Lea’s legs suddenly get all tangled up. Shay fires a finishing shot between the eyes and DOWN GOES LEA SEYDOUX! Lea thrown onto her back, arms and legs out-flung. She lies there, chest heaving and eyes fluttering. Shay heads to neutral corner. Referee moves in and starts counting. Lea groaning softly, but she doesn’t make a serious effort to rise. :

“EIGHT!...NINE!!...TEN!!!...YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER: SHAY MITCHELL DEFEATS LEA SEYDOUX KO5.

After: Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, and Sasha Pieterse all gather around Shay to celebrate her win. Shay’s face is badly bruised and swollen, but she smiles happily. She does take time to go over to the French Union corner to be sure Lea is all right. Lea is conscious and able to share a hug with Shay.

“Lea’s really tough,” Shay says, “and I got the banged up face and sore tits to prove it. I really had to work to win this one, but I did. It sure takes away the sting of losing to Kira Kosarin. I just hope the fans enjoyed this fight as much as I did!”

Lea Seydoux understandably a lot less cheerful: “She is a very clever fighter. She worked my solar plexus until it distracted me and then she pounced. I am disappointed that I could not seem to get the best of her. I would like to try again. I believe I can beat her, but not this time.”

Hard-punching bantam action through nearly all this fight. Both Lea Seydoux and Shay Mitchell took a lot of punishment even as they were dishing it out. Shay seemed to be the better ring tactician this time and brought her the win. Looks like Ms. Mitchell remains in the hunt for the Bantamweight Title in 2018 while Lea returns home to lick her wounds (and perhaps hope her BBU rivals weren’t taking notes on this fight). Good enjoyable scrap that was a definite crowd pleaser for bantamweight buffs.
