BEFORE:
“Yes, we’ve fought before… but that was way back when Kelly Rohrbach sucked ass. She’s fallen WAY down the totem pole this time, if you hadn’t noticed…” Gigi’s eyes sparkling with contempt and renewed confidence at having another go at the former Ice Hotel Queen. “First, Lima exposed her for what she was all along: a fraud. Then Decker simply had her way with her unabated. I like my chances tonight very much…”

Kelly’s eyes flickering by contrast at the mention of those two stumbling blocks in 2017. The year hadn’t ended well for the lanky blonde, after a series of successes assuredly placing her on the trajectory of the Lightweight title towards the end of 2017, only to have that dream evaporate in front of her eyes with a stinging defeat at the hands of Brooklyn Decker. There was plenty a grin on the Kelly’s face when she saw Decker fall to Tahnee Atkinson just a couple of days ago, the only lingering regret at the back of her mind was why she wasn’t able to do it herself. No matter. Kelly took a deep breath before responding to the latest obstacle in her path.

“You certainly like to talk big, Hadid. Let me tell you what people are saying: I requested for this fight because it was easy, that you’ve already gone down once before at my feet, and that there’s NO WAY I could lose against someone like you. Well, let me confirm those rumours - they’re all f*cking true! Does it infuriate you to know I picked you because you suck so badly??”

Hadid taking the taunting one word at a time, scowl growing deeper and deeper, until she can’t anymore - chair scraped back and she LUNGES at Kelly with a shrill scream. Kelly ready though, intercepting with arms quickly wrapping around her chest, before spinning her 180 degrees mid-air and bringing her CRASHING down to earth in a belly-to-belly suplex. UGHGHHH! Both girls winded but they continue to tussle on the floor, hands in each other’s hair and lips with squeals of outrage, until the referee separates them and herds them down to the ring.

Gigi sporting some reddened ribs in her flowery bikini and white gloves, hair tied up high in battle bun. Kelly on the other hand going for classic white bikini and red gloves, hair hanging out back in loose ponytail that might come back to bite her later in the fight. For now, either girl can’t wait to get this fight started. Referee rings the bell and here we go!! 

ROUND 1:
Kelly looking eager to engage with quick strides forward, all the whole keeping her guard up high,and tight. Gigi not as eager but refusing to be intimidated, tests the waters with first strikes to defenses, but eats leather when Rohrbach surgically brings a right hook crashing in from the side out of nowhere! Crowd roars along as it connects, much to the frustration of Hadid, who doesn't quite know what hit her - a freight truck?? Gigi backtracking to corner, throwing panicked jabs at the face, but it does little to stop the hungry blonde. Kelly walking her back, determined punches slamming into guard and gut, when she leaves herself suddenly open - right hook CRACKS hard on the side of her face. Kelly rocked! She’s stunned by that hook outta nowhere! Now Gigi taking the offensive forward, return fire jabs pecking into the body when her target up high gets denied. Push-and-pull goes on for the rest of the round, with both girls taking turns beating each other backwards, before getting checked and driven back herself Still, overall a close round for Rohrbach, with both women wanting to establish their dominance early in the fight. 

ROUND 2:
Tell that to Hadid however and you’d probably get a earful and a stray hook across the face. Kelly receiving the blunt of her vengeance in the second round when Gigi comes a’brawling. The Vixen at first welcoming the target moving in her direction, but when her swing hook to the side is denied by a forearm, Kelly realises too late the danger she’s in, EATS a flurry of quick punches to the mouth and body before her head’s snapped back by a stray uppercut. Luckily, the last blow only glanced off her chin as she had backed away in the nick of time. Still, the combination was dazzling enough to stun. Now Gigi’s on her case, keeping arms and legs in close and just whacking away at the under-belly, chop chop hup hup hup. Kelly wincing as she tries to establish distance but finding it hard getting the energetic blonde off her, resorts to plant her own feet and chug at the chest and body as both girls look to fold the other in half. Gigi, however, faster, with better position, avoid the blunt impacts as she keeps her elbows locked tight, offering some protection, and her lean body small, instead peppering Kelly’s body and leaving her hunched over and moaning at the bell. BIG round for Hadid as she comes back in dramatic fashion.

ROUND 3:
Both girls striding forward at the bell without hesitation and GOING to town with a flurry and cross-checking of activity. Gigi eating a painful-looking straight to the nose, before punishing Kelly with an uppercut that swings up clean into the chin. Both girls refusing to retreat though, staying in each other’s sights and just continuing to punch away… Very few shots blocked by forearms or other defences, and fewer yet even missing... Kelly last minute wraps herself up with Gigi, one looping around shoulder then waistline. Hadid looking confused, frustrated, digging hands randomly at every inch of back and sides she can get her hands on. However her opponent calmly pushing and shoving, and strategic fist to underbelly FUMPHH does wonders at getting Gigi to back off, to right where she wants her to be. Before Hadid can protest, her back hits the ropes. 20 seconds left on the clock and HERE KELLY GOES - holding Gigi back with one hand on shoulder, the other folding her in half with belly shot after belly shot, Ms Hadid facing the full brunt of Kelly’s brawling power. Luckily though, she’s saved by the referee, who pulls the Vixen off her when the bell rings.

ROUND 4:
Gigi hurt last round but hell if she looks even more determined to win this. Gulping in fresh air, a deep scowl signals intentions of revenge this round, especially at the sight of Kelly’s condescending smirk and gesture of gloves to ‘Bring it on!’ Gigi obliges, storming forward but staying out of reach of a big hook up high. Distraction and feint does its work well - Kelly still recovering from big swings, leaving her flanks and side of face open to a couple of knock-knock-knockin’ jabs from Gigi. She continues this smart strategy of stinging Kelly from afar, ensuring that she’s never really in danger of getting nailed by one of those big bombs. Rohrbach getting shouted at from the corner, telling her to wake up and smell the roses, but she only gets the memo in the final thirty seconds of the round when she stops another big hook with a well-timed raised arm, and quickly backs away, choosing to recuperate in the corner. Greedy Gigi thinks she’s spent, however, so here she comes, f*cking charging in like an executioner, but of course is surprised when Kelly lunges at her at the last moment: a deft one-two land square on Gigi’s nose, making her see stars and eyes water. Still, Hadid earned this comeback round from her dominance throughout. 

ROUND 5:
We’re approaching the halfway mark and girls not even showing signs of slowing down. Here comes Gigi wanting to repeat her strategy of stinging like a bee and flitting like a butterfly . But this time, Kelly is wiser, throwing less punches at her and instead luring her into false sense of security. Gigi testing the waters, of course, jab-jab-jab landing hard and crisp and frequent, but they mostly batter the guard and only kiss the face on occasion. Kelly more than content to throw counter-jabs into the body and chest, giving Gigi further pause as her belly’s lighted up more and more with every exchange. Soon enough, the Fight Acad star makes a mistake that will cost her: she goes for a step-in double hook to Kelly’s body and then has designs for the head. First blow lands with a THUD, rocking Kelly, but the second hook misses as blonde girl merely leans backwards and out, out,of sheer instinct. Tables have turned, ladies and gents: Gigi’s eyes go wide with disbelief, but squeezed shut when an uppercut comes CRASHING up into her jawline, and then another and another in quick succession. Kelly rushing in after a retreating Gigi, each time just putting in more and more force into her punches, that hopes to blast off her feet and into the dirt. Third such power cross does exactly that, almost taking Gigi’s head off her shoulders as the punch sails right through her defenses and slams her head back, with her upper body trying to keep up with the shock change in momentum. Hadid flies off her feet, back HITS the canvas and there she stays! It’s over after the referee checks on her. She’s knocked out COLD!

Official Decision: Kelly Rohrbach defeats Gigi Hadid via KO5!

AFTER:
A classic, solid performance from the latest Baywatch alumnae, with Kelly eager to start 2018 back in form. Whatever happened to her chances of becoming champion at the end of last year quickly fade away like bad memories, as she mounts a corner turnbuckle and shouts her victory to the crowds. Of course, we remember everything *perfectly* well - it seems like Ms Rohrbach can beat *anyone* and *everyone*… except until she can’t. Still, the blonde’s star looking bright as ever as she sets her eyes on the gold yet again. 

Gigi on the other hand looking crestfallen in the corner. She *really* thought she could have won this time. Her face red and parts already beginning to swell, but she still manages to register her opponent swaggering over to her, bristling at the thought of the worse to come. But Kelly reaching down and helping her former foe up to her feet, wrapping arms around her in a close embrace whilst whispering some encouraging words into her ear for a nice change. 

Hadid regretful but also must be hungry to get herself back in the winner’s column sooner rather than later. Time will tell if these two will ever meet again!
