"Five Debuts In Search Of An Asylum II: Electric Boogaloo" PPV

BEFORE:

"I've been wanting a chance in the FCBA for a long time," says AJ with a smile. "I worked with Aly for years. She's as good as anybody in the FCBA, and I can hang with her. So, there's no reason I can't win at this level."

"She's got good genes," says Hunter with a nod. "No question about that. And, I'm sure she can succeed in the FCBA. But. She's not going to succeed tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Walking on Sunshine', but those are NOT Katrina and the Waves you hear. Instead, that's the lovely young lady bouncing down to ringside right now, AJ Michalka..."

Cassie: "I'm taking bets right now on how many times Mac calls her 'Aly' tonight..."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo!"

O'Dell: "AJ, of course is the sister of Aly Michalka, a former FCBA bantamweight champion, and she's making her FCBA debut here tonight. Michalka into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a white bikini and a body that's clearly ready for her first FCBA action. And, that's 'Shake It Out' by Florence and the Machine you hear pounding through the arena, and that means that 'The Ventura County Volcano', Hunter King, is on her way to the ring..."

McCarthy: "That's still a STUPID nickname!"

Tess: "King put up a perfect rookie year for Front Street in 2017, going 6-0, and she's definitely hoping to start fast in 2018."

O'Dell: "Hunter into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that aqua bikini we've seen before, and the crowd appreciates it as always..."

McCarthy: "Philly. Low standards."

O'Dell: "Aaaannnndddd, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Hunter. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Almost all night it's going to be typical Dancing Hooker opponents, no FCBA wins. King."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "It's unanimous. Let's see if the ladies are right. Michalka getting aggressive early. She's stepping forward behind the left jab, wants to bang with King, and that's not something we've seen a lot of Hunter's opponents do. AJ throwing some hard shot in there, Mac, and she's backing King up with it."

McCarthy: "This girl is a full bantam. She looks sturdy enough to punch with."

O'Dell: "And, she's got Hunter out of sorts at the moment. King covering, backing, thrown to the defensive by the aggression from AJ. Michalka seemingly getting into rhythm quickly here. She's putting punches together, landing good, hard shot. King not hurt, but she's getting touched. A lot."

Cassie: "King's got to get off here. She's letting Michalka get too much of what she wants."

O'Dell: "Michalka's getting just about EVERYthing she wants. King not doing much of anything save a counter here and there. She's being forced to give canvas and cover up again and again as Michalka's taking more and more control of this thing. There's the bell. AJ and wide."

Tess: "Nice start for AJ."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with more Michalka aggression. AJ stepping to, committing on punches, getting physical with King and making her very uncomfortable doing it. Hunter wants some space here, but she can't get it. Instead, she's getting a face full of AJ Michalka or, more properly, Michalka's gloves."

Tess: "Truck, take a shot of Neve Campbell's face. That, gang, is what 'unhappy' looks like."

McCarthy: "Don't stay on her too long, truck. It will crack the camera lens!"

O'Dell: "AJ was in total control in the last round, and she's dominating even more in this one. King can not get going, and, in fact, isn't doing much more than taking leather, covering up, and backing up. Michalka working some body, then going back upstairs. Hunter tries to tie up, but AJ shoves her off..."

Cassie: "This is really, really good stuff from AJ."

O'Dell: "No question about it. We've got 30 seconds to go in the second, and AJ Michalka's taking the fight to Hunter King in a big way. GOOD combination from Michalka, forces King to cover up again. Hunter tying up her rival. Referee breaking them apart, and there's the bell. Shutout, Michalka."

McCarthy: "And, AJ's up 20-18 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round starts with Michalka forward again and King banging right back with her and we've got ourselves a firefight in the middle of the ring! Two blonde beauties trading BOMBS right now, with neither willing to back up a step. GOOD right hand by King, her best punch of the fight, but Michalka fires right back..."

Tess: "We kept the Front Street corner mic turned off between rounds for a reason. What Neve was saying to Hunter isn't even fit for HBO. Looks like it had an effect."

O'Dell: "It's definitely gotten King rolling. Front Streeter with a BIG flurry that backs AJ up a step, but Michalka right back to with a big flurry of her own! Crowd getting into this in a big way as the ladies continue to bang away at one another as we head into the final minute. Nobody slowing down, Mac..."

McCarthy: "This is about imposing will now, and they're both determined to do it."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch and they're still going. Michalka's head snapped back by a hard right and AJ forces Hunter to cover up with a NASTY flurry. First backward step King's taken in this round. Ten seconds to go. One more big exchange and there's the bell and a stare down. Close. Michalka."

Cassie: "And, AJ's got Hunter in a 30-27 hole."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the fourth. Michalka again forward and again met with some solid fire from King and it's HAMMER AND TONGS AGAIN! Ladies letting the hands go, snapping back heads, sending sweat flying. Only a matter of time, Mac! Something's got to give here. This can't keep up..."

McCarthy: "No. Sooner or later someone's going to get caught..."

O'Dell: "Amazed it hasn't happened already with some of the bombs that have landed. THERE'S A BIG RIGHT FROM KING, but Michalka shakes it off, steps in, digs some body. Ladies fall into a clinch. Referee breaks them apart and there's ANOTHER big exchange! No shortage of action in this one..."

Cassie: "Absolutely not. Both of these girls determined to grab control of this thing."

O'Dell: "And, neither able to do it for the moment. Twenty seconds left in the fourth round. ANOTHER big trade of punches sends sweat flying. Michalka again digs some body and there's a SHARP combination from King that forces AJ to cover up. BELL! And another action-packed round ends. Close. Hunter."

Tess: "And, King cuts the lead to 39-37, but, the way this is going, the judges can tear those cards up right now."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with the ladies simply meeting in the middle of the ring and having at it. AJ not having to step to Hunter now. King's right there in her grill. Michalka again digging at the ribs, then working back upstairs and King ROCKS HER WITH A RIGHT HOOK that sends AJ staggering backward..."

Cassie: "That should have put her DOWN. That landed almost on the button!"

O'Dell: "And, now here comes Hunter! King letting the hands go, battering her rival back into the ropes and now going body herself. AJ with the gloves high, putting the midsection and ribs on sale and King buying in bulk, hammering away with both hands then WOBBLING MICHALKA'S LEGS WITH ANOTHER RIGHT HOOK!"

Tess: "Referee better keep a close eye on this..."

O'Dell: "King getting off in a big way now, but Michalka hanging on, jabbing back, doing just enough for the moment. Hunter back to the body, hooking ribs, mashing midsection. AJ keeping the guard up, running clock, and she's going to make it to the bell. There it is, and the fifth is a shutout for King."

McCarthy: "And, it's 48-47, AJ at the end of five."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Second half starts with an aggressive King looking to finish this thing. Michalka's legs still a little wobbly, and Hunter looking to take advantage. King using that hard, straight left jab to set up right hands now, backing up her rival. Michalka keeping the guard high, giving ground..."

McCarthy: "Fighting retreat."

O'Dell: "No question about it. Michalka wants to play for time here, keep the clock running, give those legs a chance to recover. Good right hand from Hunter. AJ ties up. King shoves her off and DROPS HER! King drops Michalka with a short left hook that that was absolutely brutal!"

Cassie: "I'm not singing, not for Aly's sister...but that head swivel..."

O'Dell: "Michalka just crumpled forward right past Hunter's shoulder. King quickly to a neutral corner. AJ face down, not moving as the referee begins the count at three. Four. Five. Six. This is going to be academic. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! And it's OVER! And your winner by KO6 in comeback fashion is 'The Ventura County Volcano', Hunter King!"

Tess: "That left hand...wow. That was something."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I've got our winner, Hunter King, and, Hunter, what did Neve say to you after the second round?"

Hunter (smiling): "Oh, I can't repeat THAT. But, what she MEANT was that I needed to stop letting her push me around and get physical with her. So, I did."

Tess: "Seemed like she had you off your game early."

Hunter (nodding): "She did. I just needed to adjust to what she was doing. And, when I was able to do that, I took over the fight. And, when I did that, it was a matter of time before I got her. But. She's really good, Tess. Really good. And, I expect we'll see more of her."
