The Man In The Hat sits, as usual, at the center of the dais. To his left are Neve Campbell, Kat Dennings, Allison Mack, Hunter King, Jewel, Pink, Grace Park, Kesha, and Alison Brie. To his right sit Britney Spears, Jane Levy, Katy Perry, Antje Utgaard, Mariska Hargitay, Kesha, Leelee Sobieski, Emma Roberts, and Avril Lavigne.
Man In The Hat: "OK. We're not going to get into the Torv/Kerr fight, as Anna's, obviously, not here and on her way back from the Land of Oz. I will, however, congratulate Ms. Kerr on a great fight, and it was that. She's a terrific fighter and a superb opponent, and there's ZERO shame in losing to her. And, yes, eventually, we ARE going to win a pay per view fight. I promise. All right, as usual, before we get to questions, there are some people I want to thank. We'll start with Bazz, our regular guests here at Asylum. We always get a great fight when a Bazz girl is here, and that's one of many reasons a Bazz girl is always here. And, of course, I want to thank the indie singers who competed here tonight. As always, the indies are the backbone of Asylum and we always enjoy giving talented girls without management a chance to get into the spotlight. And, last but certainly not least, the FCBA Commission for sanctioning these fights and making Asylum possible. Now. Questions. Cable Boy. Go!"
HBO Reporter: "We saw more of your younger fighters tonight, King and Utgaard, and, again, both looked pretty good. Antje would seem to fit in pretty well with some of the young models at the top of welter and Hunter looks like a girl who could develop into a contender at bantam..."
Man In The Hat: "Hunter, of course, is early in her development, but, what we're seeing is very, very encouraging. She's got the tools. She just has to learn to use them. And, she's learning. Antje is the most physically gifted woman in the FCBA. I said that, and you can quote me on it. That being said, she's not yet ready to get involved in that catfight at the top of welter. For now, we're gonna sit back, watch, and enjoy. Eventually, though, I expect that will change. Cable Boy II! Talk to me!"
Showtime Reporter: "You've said repeatedly that Allison is still your top bantam. She looked like an elite bantam tonight..."
Man In The Hat: "She LOOKS like an elite bantam every single day, because that's exactly what she is. Allison is a champion. She's a girl with Hall of Fame talent. She's the top bantam we have and the rest of the girls in the division benefit by watching how she goes about her work every day. They see how a champion becomes one and stays one and, if they want to be champions like Allison, and they do, well. They know what they have to do. BLONDE! Magazine! I can not WAIT to hear this, because we've already talked about our blondes..."
BLONDE! Magazine Reporter: "I want to ask about Katy Perry, who's finally left The Dark Side and become a blonde. That was quite a fight she had with Beyonce tonight, and it looked like it got personal..."
Katy: "I'm going to take that. It got personal because she MADE it personal. She got chippy in there and I wasn't going to sit back and take that. She wasn't pulling that stuff with me and I made her pay for it."
Man In The Hat (deadpan): "You heard the lady. Tess, dear, go ahead."
Tess: "Dennings came up with another solid performance tonight. Bennet's either already stepped up to the contender level or is close to doing so. Kat seems to be moving in that direction."
Man In The Hat: "Kat's definitely doing that, and I think she's a girl who'll benefit a lot from the added opportunities all the fighters will get in our new, smaller Front Street. She has the tools to be a champion, and we're going to do all we can to get her there. Smackeroo! Dinner time. Take us there!"
Reporter: "Speaking of girls taking a step toward becoming a contender, Jane Levy certainly came back nicely from her first career loss with that effort tonight..."
Man In The Hat (smiling): "See, a loss like Jane suffered her last time out can tell you a lot about a fighter. Everybody's gonna lose, but the question is how you respond to losses, and that's an especially big question for younger fighters. Do you start to lose confidence? Do you stress over what happened and how to stop it from happening again? Do you become too conservative? Do you get gun shy? Are you worried about not losing instead of concentrating on winning? Because, those are the things that can hurt a fighter, and, if they go unchecked, ruin a fighter. Jane, though, she's made of sterner stuff. She knows how to shower. She showered that fight off and got on to the next one. And, proved just how talented she is. A win like tonight, that's a big step forward for her. And, I suspect she'll be making more of those steps as we go along. Now. Dinner time! Tess! Smackey! Limo!"
