Roxanne Pallett (England) vs Rachel Bilson (USA)
(6-5, 6 KO vs 16-22, 9 KO)
(Kear's Kats vs FCBA Free Agent)
Results: Lookout; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Roxanne Pallett hasn't enjoyed a great deal of success back in the BBU but she's turned the corner around since switching to full-time FCBA competition few years back. On the other hand Rachel Bilson is no longer considered a dangerous veteran floater and hasn't won a fight in almost three years. A loss of management contributed to Bilson's stock nose-diving over that winless period but the California-born brunette vows to finally halt the losing streak and beat the stuffing out of the petite English actress tonight.

Roxanne Pallett wears a black bikini set and red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. Rachel Bilson wears a white bikini set with golden trim and golden gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Both girls engage in a classic flyweight bash aimed at total destruction of their opponent and don't care much about guarding themselves from potential battle scars. As a result, Rachel quickly develops a swelling under the left eye with Roxanne getting the better of her in a trademark point-blank range leather assault. She leans on the American and keeps landing her jabs spot on target which only underlines Bilson's recent struggles. The American gets outworked in close range and allthough she tries to swing back from the back foot, Pallett pounds her against the ropes and dominate the high-tempo slugging. Rachel reverts into some blatant clinching to salvage her pride but she looks visibly annoyed at the bell, the English brunette showed her no respect whatsoever during the opener and that's not what a FCBA veteran like Bilson expected.

Round 2:
That's more promising from Bilson who engages in another furious punching display but this time beats the fellow brunette for the initial strike and sticks her mitts straight into Pallett's otherwise pretty face. Ugh! Both women slug it out upstairs and while it's very one-dimensional, it provides the spark neccessary to get the crowd going ahead of the more high-profile bouts to come later on the card. It's almost all-in procedure in the ring and Roxanne begins to groan a little louder when Rachel smacks her with a brutal left/right combo on the lips that reels the petite English babe sideways into the ropes. Rachel ups the tempo of her attacks come the final minute and keeps Roxy pinned on the ropes, she snaps her head back several times yet and dumps her on jelly knees when a rare hook to the body makes Pallett ache out her loudest of the night just before the bell.

Round 3:
Both these dark-haired hellcats go at each other again and the injuries begin to stack up during the third. The swelling under Bilson's eye grows visibly bigger while Pallett's lips are seeping blood since the second minute when the American dissected the high guard and blasted straight through on target. Several pundits begin to wonder how long these two veterans can slug it out like that and Rachel pays the price for not shutting the English babe down like she did in the previous round. She misjudges her hooking approach for once and gets clobbered on the counter, Roxy finds a quick uppercut series and sinks the fellow brunette in the middle of a whirlwind tangle which gives her the edge come the final minute. She pummels the aching Bilson back to the ropes and the first meaningful series on the body bends the American in half which chasing the delayed clinch. It doesn't work for Rachel as Roxy harpoons her around the elbows and leaves screaming her heart out at the bell.

Round 4:
Rachel looks badly affected by that series to the body and fails to match Roxanne's furious start to the fourth. The long-time Emmerdale fan favorite stacks the American brunette in the center of the ring with a steady midriff assault and switches upstairs to land a nasty uppercut combo that opens more holes in Bilson's otherwise leaky defense. The swing from the back foot is woefully slow and meets another crushing counter from the Brit who lands it on the jaw... Ugh! Rachel goes all shimmy shake and almost goes down on her backside on the spot... she somehow manages to stay upright at first but drops her guard too low to fend off a follow up strike... AND PALLETT SMASHES BILSON'S NOSE with a vicious double combo before adding one last punch on the previously swollen eye... Rachel bursts into spasms just as she loses her balance AND CRASHES HARD ON HER SIDE!!! She's all deadmeat here, folks!!! There's some blood leaking from the eye injury and she only makes it onto all fours at eight and bends her head down against the canvas when the count reaches ten!!! KO4 Roxanne Pallett!!!

AFTER: That's another crushing loss for the former Lookout and Rampant fighter, the sixth in a row to be exact. Rachel's career is seemingly at the bottom of the barrel with no chance of recovery. Of course several upstarts can always target her as a valuable veteran scalp going forward but that's not what Bilson hoped for during the twilight period of her FCBA career.

On the other hand Roxanne Pallett's crossover career has received another boost; while several pundits on both sides of the Atlantic questioned the reasons behind her American foray, the petite Cumbrian bombshell has now won four of her last five and should attract more interest in the foreseeable future. This is undoubtfully the best period of Roxy's boxing career which once started with 11 (yes, ELEVEN) straight losses under BBU rules. Lucy Hale would be proud of such a make-over!

Final result: Roxanne Pallett def. Rachel Bilson KO4.
