BEFORE: Dutch lingerie model Sylvie Meis returns to FCBA competition for the first time this season and vows to lay down a marker against indie Jenna Dewan in a classic blonde vs brunette duel. While fellow models Doutzen Kroes and Romee Strijd are widely believed to be a little more popular than Sylvie on this side of the Atlantic, she remains one of the most experienced BBU competitors and the fact she enjoys the backing of the mighty Foxfire Atlantic Boxing stable only boosts her status as a designated favorite in tonight's bout.

Meanwhile Dewan has become a popular choice for the European crossover fighters over the past couple od years. Two of her last three bouts featured BBU stalwarts in Michelle Keegan and Roxanne Pallett and the Hartford brunette was knocked out both times which further handicaps the betting odds in Meis' favor.

Jenna Dewan wears a silver bikini set with black trim and red gloves. Long black hair straight, tucked behind the ears. Sylvie Meis wears an orange bikini set and blue gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Both women jump into a slugging war of attrition in the early stages which immediately raises the crowd noise inside the arena. Jenna's slightly longer reach enables her to steer her punches a little more effectively and she smacks the blonde's cheeks from both flanks, outworking Meis in the proccess. Allthough Sylvie lands plenty of her upstairs shots on target, she gets thumped on her heels and loses the initial exchange. She tries to find some space dropping back to mid-range but Dewan's dancing career allows her to dominate the footwork chase and trap the blonde on the ropes come the final minute. She traps Meis for good and connects with more punches over the top which bounce off the brow ridges and leave the Dutch model significantly swollen at the end of a very intense round of boxing.

Round 2:
Jenna seeks more success in the slugging game and tackles the older woman from point-blank range again. Apparently Sylvie hasn't learned her lessons after that tough opener and jumps into a similar trigger-happy assault that earns both women a standing ovation from the audience but threatens to result in battle damage exceeding the limits sooner rather than later. Well, Meis doesn't mind getting cut up here, it's all for the sake of the BBU pride, and she maintains the high-intensity production during the opening minute which allows her to leave some bruises on the brunette's face as well. However Jenna's equally determined to dominate the lingerie model and squeals in her efforts to add more swelling to Sylvie's face. Both women give each other no quarter in a hectic close range dust up until the final minute when Jenna switches her targets and drills the blonde's ribcage to finally wobble her on the heels. She beats Meis for a cross hooking approach when the older girl tried to swing back at her from her heels and a nasty left hook on the mouth spins the blonde back to the ropes just as the clock expires.

Round 3:
Some pundits wonder how long these two can keep the extreme pace of this bout going but they still can here in the third. Jenna reverts back to head hunting the blonde but becomes more erratic and too many of her efforts cut thin air instead of Sylvie's flesh. The fact she lacks management support probably results in sparse knowledge of the model's vulnerable resistance when punished to the body and the one dimensional attack which worked well during the opening two rounds isn't enough to hurt Meis beyond a proper comeback. In fact, the bruised Sylvie gets even more aggressive in the third operating as a wounded animal that has no other option but to attack. She outworks Jenna in the close range head hunting exchange and once again only the final minute action tips the scales into someone's favor. This time it's Meis who lands the better punches and rocks the brunette's head back before stacking her up with a drilling hook on the solar plexus. Ugh! Dewan's hardly a gatekeeper contender and she's shown enough vulnerable defense over the years to indicate she can be rattled out of her comfort zone very easily. Sylvie blasts her on the lips with a quick follow up series bumping her into the ropes in the proccess but the clock expires before she can add more punishment.

Round 4:
Jenna looked comfortable in aggressive jabbing from the front but her defense wilts much faster than even the Foxfire Atantic entourage anticipated. She gets beaten for the quick fire opening series in the fourth and Meis hauls in the hooking charge that swivels the brunette's head on the spot before another switch on the guts catches her off guard wholesale. Ugh! Sylvie's rapid change of targets bends Dewan forward with a loud yelp, she bumps her chin against the blonde's shoulder and gets wrapped in more body assault that pierces her navel and solar plexus making her scream in pain. Sylvie bumps her off to stretch her elbows and blasts a left cross on the nose THAT SENDS JENNA CRASHING DOWN ON HER BACK. The Dutch model clearly enjoys this moment as she shakes her glove over the fallen opponent but Dewan refuses to check out of this fight just yet. She battles back to her feet at eight and allthough she's more swollen than the blonde, she nods back to the ref and vows to avoid a devastating defeat. However Meis has other ideas and bangs through the leaking guard to resume the vicious head rocking that results in more painful yelps coming from the brunette's mouth. Jenna's fighting spirit might still be burning here but physically she's a goner and the blonde wastes little time in pounding her back to the ropes where the aching dancer/actress disappears behind a high earmuff and slumps on her knees when the Dutch girl maintains the hard-charging assault. She eventually splits the red mitts and threatens to bust Jenna's face into a swollen mess so when the brunette's cries are getting even louder, the referee thinks better off it and JUMPS IN TO HALT THE BEATING!!! TKO4 Sylvie Meis in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: Jenna just can't stop aching her heart out and slumps down on her backside in the corner trying to fully embrace this experience. She looked to be running away with this contest through six minutes and one can only wonder how much she left on the table while ignoring to punish the Dutch foe to the body which several of her BBU opponents successfully explored back in Europe. On the other hand Sylvie exposed the American's mediocre punching resistance and duly earned a comfortable stoppage in a fight that was always destined to end around half-distance given it's ferocious nature. One could say that Jenna simply runs out of gas first and Sylvie is too experienced fighter not to take advantage of it. That's three defeats in a row against BBU opposition for Dewan who should remain a very popular choice for any fighter crossing over the pond in the upcoming months.
