LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE CH ADRIANA LIMA VS MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD
FCBA Lightweight Title Bout
Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Adriana: 36 YO, 5’10 (1.78 m), 26-19-0 (23 KOs) since 2005, Odds and Ends Fight Studio
Mary: 32 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 39-36-0 (33 KOs) since 2007, Foxfire Boxing.

Before: “I got to say fighting Jen Lawrence to get to this fight was just the kind of tune-up I needed,” Mary informs the press. “I mean I am fighting someone who holds the Ice Hotel and Body Saddle Titles. Adriana may be something of a late bloomer. I mean she was in the fed for 7 years before Odds and Ends picked her up. It just goes to show what good management can do. She went from fighting supermodels to knocking out my friend Yvonne Strahovski. She’s definitely a legitimate champion, but Miranda Kerr looked hard to beat—until I beat her. I am planning to do what Vonnie—mean Yvonne Strahovski couldn’t do—defeated Adriana and become Lightweight champion again.”

The Brazilian born Adriana doesn’t look pleased at Mary’s remarks: “You are just like the rest of those arrogant actresses. You think you can rule over ‘mere’ models. You won’t be ruling me Ms. Mary Elizabeth Winstead. You will be knocked out as surely I knocked out your friend Vonnie, Blake Lively, Taylor Cole and Charlize Theron. My only regret is that this isn’t a body saddle or ice hotel bout, I would love to strap a saddle on you and ride you into the canvas or stuff your bikini bottoms with snow before driving you head first into a snowdrift.”

Mary smirks: “You are getting me excited Adriana. I’ve done Body Saddle, but never the Ice Hotel. Maybe I’ll take that title away from you, too.”

At this point, who should walk out on the stage but Yvonne Strahovski and she is holding up a certain white belt over her head.

“Ladies, please, let me again make one of Mary’s bouts interesting by offering this belt to the winner in the post fight,” said Yvonne, “Though, please, Mary, try to avoid setting off another brawl. “

“Thank you, Yvonne—I think—and don’t worry, you won’t get chased out the ring again,” Mary tells her.

“I made a timely exit,” Yvonne said, “which is more than I can say for you and your unfortunate stablemates. Do be careful, Mary, I don’t think your stable sisters would appreciate another post-fight bungle,”

Adriana wrinkles her nose: “Perhaps I should just get out of the way and you two could settle this right now. I’m sure the press out there would appreciate you two catfighting again,”

“You stay out of this!” Mary snaps.

“If you don’t want the belt just say so,” Yvonne said to Adriana.

“I do like the idea of using it on her,” Adriana said with smirk aimed at Mary. “Bring it. We shall see what happens.”

“Yes, bring it!” Mary agreed.

Yvonne smiled and did a bow: “Always happy to help you out, Mary—and you, too Adriana. I think I will be content no matter how the fight turns out.”

Mary and Adriana now both give Yvonne dirty looks, but the Lookout blonde lightweight just smiles at them and makes her exit.

Nothing like the promise of a post fight spanking to get certain of the FCBA public excited and added to those who just what to see a title fight, interest in Mary vs Adriana takes off. On the evening of the event, Mary appears in the ring in a black satin bra with matching briefs (there is a white MEW embroidered along the hip. Black gloves with white laces. Mary’s hair hangs loose but wetted down for that sexy tuff girl look. Mary accompanied by Foxfire Lightweight Trainer Rachel Nichols, rookie lightweight Sophie Turner and Foxfire’s resident supermodel Candice Swanepoel.

Adriana in hot pink lace bra and bikini briefs. White gloves with pink laces. Hair in simple ponytail. Odds and Ends trainer Kelly Carlson with her champion as well as O & E lightweights Eiza Gonzalez and Bar Refaeli.

In ringside seats are Foxfire communications director Beth Harnois along with Foxfire flyweights Hayden Panettiere, Sarah Carter and Adelaide Kane. O& E flyweights led by veteran Sarah Shahi include rookies Olivia Holt, Hayley Orantia and Demi Rose Mawby. (It should be noted that there are extra FCBA Security gentleman keeping their eye on these seats. There are reports already buzzing through the arena of a pushing and shoving encounter at the VIP entrance lobby between these groups that required FCBA Security to intervene before matters got totally out of hand).

Sharp-eyed fans notice Yvonne Strahovski is at ringside wearing the White Belt as a dress accessory tonight. She’s got Vanessa Hudgens, Missy Peregrym and Lookout spokesperson Michelle Trachtenberg close at hand. (Security discreetly watching them too)

As the fighters meet with the referee Adriana does her best to use her two inch height advantage to loom intimidatingly over Mary. Mary just gives her a defiant look and won’t budge. Ref gets through instructions. Hard glove “touch” and the fighters are back in their corners. The bell sounds.

R1: Mary advances with her guard up high and firing out straight rights and lefts at Adrianna’s head. Adriana trying to use her reach advantage to get in overhand shot to the head and hooks to the body before Mary can counter. Very tactical in the early going. Adriana and Mary sizing each other up as they circle and punch. Mary then tries to work her way in under Adriana’s reach and pumps steady leather into that lanky torso. Adriana looking a bit vexed as she tries to cope with this. Does bang shots off the sides of Mary’s head, but Mary pops her on the chin to get her stutter-stepping backwards. Adriana firms up the defense as Mary again on the attack. Vigorous punching exchange with Mary getting some leather into her face, but able to feast on the Lima bra cups. Adriana taking the jugg mugging to get some hooks into Winstead’s belly meat. Mary goes to the stomach herself with strong hooks to force the supermodel back a couple of steps before the bell. Hard fought opening stanza that the judges give to Mary by a close margin.

R2: If Mary Winstead wants to fight in close, Adriana Lima shows she’s not afraid to do it as she first lets the challenger come in and then counterattacks. Adriana seems to have figured out how to get those short right and left hooks into Mary’s body. Mary looking flustered as her belly, then her ribcage and finally her rack come under sustained Brazilian bombardment. Mary lurching backwards gets some space and then deploys her jab. Adriana now smacked to the jaw and cheeks, but she responds by finding Mary’s chin with her overhand shots. Mary backing up, countering hard, but she takes a Adriana Lima right straight in her left eye. Ouch! That’s gonna look bad in the morning! Mary moving around to stay clear of the ropes avoids severe hits, but Adriana emerges the close winner of this round.

R3: Adriana shifting tactics this round as she goes back to long-range strikes. Mary expecting more close in fighting gets her nose bloodied and a fat lower lip from the champion’s accurate, lightning fast hits. Mary not liking them, works her way under Adriana’s reach to counter to her the tits and tummy. Adriana grimacing, shifting her feet for a better angle of attack, but Mary moving to force her to fight in close again. Adriana takes the challenge and there is hot exchange of in-close punching that produces the sound of smacking leather as it connects with sweat drenched flesh. Adriana finding Mary’s chin before Mary can find hers. Mary’s head knocked back and she retreats to recover. Adriana trying not to let the challenger get away, lunges after her, but then Mary pops her on the chin and Adriana comes to a stunned halt, Twi fighters pause only briefly then plunge back in close and there is a thorough swabbing on both straining torsos down to the bell. It’s again close, but again Adriana Lima pulls out the round victory.

R4: Mary goes on offense this round by striking first swift hooks to the stomach that bends Adriana forward and allows Mary to bring uppercuts into the champ’s exposed face and chest. Adriana rocked back on her heels as Mary pushes forward banging champ’s head from side to side, but Adriana gets some desperate jabs into Mary’s face to break up her momentum. Mary takes another hit on that left eye and recoils, but she is quick to resume the attack. She’s working hard with her rights and lefts to the body and is able to push the champ back. Adriana fighting back with the jab, maneuvering to stay in the middle of the ring, but Mary hanging in there with tenacity. Again they battle down to the bell, but this time Mary Elizabeth Winstead emerges the narrow winner.

R5: Adriana not about to let Mary take control of this fight. She is out of her corner and smashing Mary to the side of the side as she charges in herself. Mary goes spinning away and Adriana circles to cut her off. Mary gets her face worked over again until she can throw up her jab to smite Adriana in the face to slow her down. Pause as the two circle, then Adriana seems to be aiming for more overhand rights into Mary’s head—but no! Adriana brings the left up to clout Mary’s chin and put the tremble in her gams. Mary shaky in retreat, covering up as Adriana bangs away with energy. Mary finally able to get her jab up enough to keep Adriana at bay, but the champ uses moves and countermoves to keep her off balance and maintains the head punching pressure. Mary fighting back so it’s no shutout, but Adriana books a wide win this round as Mary’s lovely face is a mess with the swelling around the left eye growing more pronounced.

R6: Mary banged up a lot in the last round but the Foxfire corner crew shows their skill in getting their fighter ready for a new round. Mary seems understandable cautious as she watches Adriana circling, shark-like, but then she surprises the champ by striking her hard to the chin with the right and then the left. Adriana seeing stars as she is the one now floundering back, those long model-legs suddenly turned to rubber. Mary churning her hooks into Lima belly and knocking her forward, Now Adriana gets her head batted around until she back out of danger, but Mary not giving her much breathing room. Mary plainly trying to force Adriana onto the ropes, but the champ concentrates and keeps sliding away. Adriana also able get her jab going late to slow Mary up with a nasty shots to her black satin bra cups. Mary gets a couple jugg mugging counters into Adriana’s bra, but time runs out. Two fighters giving each other angry looks before referee gets them going to their corners. Mary takes this round wide.

R7: Mary and Adriana fighting hard for control of the bout and going all-out to do it. First, Mary drives Adriana back with ripping shots to the head and strong hooks to the body. Adriana stops the attack with a jabbing fury that has Mary’s swollen face dripping crimson in several places. Then Adriana shifts to the attack herself with shots driven into Mary’s body that send the Foxfire lightweight rocking back. Adriana pursues, but Mary digs in and they have hard punching exchange of head shots before the hammering drops down to work over already aching torsos. Adriana gets to Mary’s jaw with cracking rights and lefts just as the final seconds tick off. Mary left woozy and slow to get back to her corner, That left eye looking worse having taken at least one additional punch in the closing minute. Adriana banged up too, but walking more firmly as she heads for her corner.

R8: That left eye a source of much concern in Foxfire corner during break. Mary can be heard saying: “It’s not that big a deal. I can work around it! I’m not letting this bytch win by me quitting!” Rachel Nichols doubtful and looks over at Candice Swanepoel who looks dubious, but finally Rachel nods in reluctant agreement. (Sophie Turner on hand minds her rookie status by not saying anything, but you can tell she’s paying attention to what’s going on). Break ends and action resumes. Adriana starts moving on Mary from the left as she tests to see just how badly that swollen left eye is hampering the challenger’s field of vision. Mary trying to turn to cover Adriana with her good right eye. Suddenly Adriana makes her move and brings a blockbuster right out of the Mary’s blind spot to connect with power to Mary’s jaw. Head swivel brings wet hair slapping across Mary’s face as she corkscrews into the canvas! Mary lands hard. She never saw that punch coming until it was too late. Now she is on all fours a look of stunned pain on her face as she struggles to rise against the referee’s count. Mary makes it up by 9, but she is struggling not to sway. Referee looks doubtfully at her, but Mary comes to life with the vehement insistence: “I can go on!” Official lets her have her way and waves Adriana back in. Adriana using long range punching to keep Mary confused as to where she is striking from. Mary still game, but can’t seem to keep up with her constantly moving and punching opponent. Adriana carefully guiding the wobbly Mary near to the ropes—AND THEN SHE STRIKES! Adriana suddenly on top of Mary hammering at her face and head as Mary slides along the ropes. Mary’s jab getting swept aside as Adriana’s storm of leather descends on a helpless Mary. (Yvonne Strahovski looking alarmed as they sweep by her ringside seat). THE REF JUMPS IN! Official cradling Mary as she leads her to safety. Adriana raises both arms as the O&E ladies at ringside leap to their feet to cheer her victory.

THE WINNER AND STILL FCBA LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION: ADRIANA LIMA TKO8!

After: Eiza Gonzalez and Bar Refaeli join trainer Kelly Carlson in celebrating the victory with Adriana. Gloves are removed and Adriana heads for the Foxfire corner where Rachek Nicols, Candice Swanepoel and Sophie Turner are surrounding Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Along the way, Adriana stops and motions for Yvonne to toss her the White Belt. To Adriana’s surprise, Yvonne climbs into the ring.

“I am not giving it to you unless I can see Mary is up to it,” Yvonne says..”

“I just know you would have been so thoughtful if it had been me losing,” Adriana sneers.

“I doubt I would,” Yvonne admits, “but I like Mary and I don’t like you.”

Adriana gives a snort of derision and then they march over to the Foxfire corner. Candice and Sophie stand aside and Mary can be seen looking forlorn with that smacked up face highlighted that soon to be black and blue left eye.

“You up to this?” Yvonne asks removing the White Belt from around her waist.

Mary shows defiance: “I won’t like it, but give it to her. I can take what she dishes out.”

“How brave—and how stupid you are,” Adriana says taking the Belt,

“Watch your mouth, Lima!” Candice snaps,

“You dare speak to me like that. You must be the worst fighter Foxfire has at lightweight,” Adriana sneers.

Candice turns red in the face, but before she can act, Adriana has yanked Mary off her stool by the arm and is pulling her around the ring.

“Let go of me! I can walk on my own!” Mary protests.

Adriana lets go, but then she smiles craftily: “But you may need some encouragement.”

With that Adriana lashes Mary across the buns with the Belt. Mary yelps and Adriana lashes her again until she starts moving. Soon Adriana has Mary trotting around the ring to the snap of the belt across her quivering buns. Once, twice, they make the circuit, but on the third circuit, Yvonne steps out to block the way.

“Give me that Belt back. She’s had enough!” Yvonne says as Mary is breathing hard and leaning forward, hands on her knees.

“I’ll say when she’s had enough!” Adriana declares waving the Belt in Yvonne’s face.

Yvonne suddenly grabs the Belt. Adriana tries to hold on, but Candice Swanepoel and Sophie Turner grab by the arms. Yvonne pulls the Belt loose and falls back against Rachel Nichols. All at once mayhem descends on the ring. From the far end of the ring Kelly Carlson, Eiza and Bar rush to help Adriana as she struggles with Candice and Sophie. However, into the ring to intercept them pour Beth Harnois, Hayden Panettiere, Sarah Carter and Adelaide Kane. As the four smaller flyweights try to take out the taller lightweights by sheer numbers, reinforcements come in with Sarah Shahi leading Olivia Wilde, Hayley Orrantia and Demi Rose Mawby into the battle. It is a wild moment as Eiza and Bar get free and finally reach Adriana who is getting her face slapped by an angry Yvonne Strahovski as Sophie and Candice pin Adriana’s arms. Mary is clinging to the top rope, but smiling as Yvonne slaps away.

Then Eiza and Bar crash into the party. Yvonne is knocked back into Rachel Nichols again at the two of them are pinned against the turnbuckle as Eiza tries to bang their heads together. Bar has gotten Adriana free and joined her in grappling with Sophie and Candice.

“Vonnie’s in trouble! We can’t just sit here!” Michelle Trachtenberg cries and immediately into the ring come Michelle, Vanessa Hudgens and Missy Peregrym. However the mass of fighting Foxfire and O&E flyweights in the middle of the ring suddenly engulfs them. Missy manages to get away, but Vanessa and Michelle are left to duke it out with whoever happens within fist fighting range.

Missy reaches Eiza and hauls her off Rachel and Yvonne. She then sends Eiza spinning into Candice, Sophie and Bar Refaeli. The four of them then bang into Mary and the five of them go down in a jumbled heap not unlike the scrum going on at center ring. Missy gets ready to jump in when (finally!) FCBA Security swarms into the ring.

They drag the various fighters apart. Beth Harnois , Kelly Casrlson and Michelle Trachtenberg are the first dragged apart from their three-way fist fight. Olivia Holt has to have her hands pried out of a furiously screaming Adelaide Kane’s hair. Sarah Shahi seemed reluctant to give up the schoolgirl pin she had on Vanessa Hudgens. Demi Rose Mawby and Hayley Orrantia were finally persuaded to give up a mutual bear hug that had a woozy Hayden Panettiere sandwiched between them. The clothes of all the participants were in tatters, but the O&E rookie flyweights: Olivia, Demi and Hayley seemed quite pleased at their gallant (if confused) intervention. The others are in varying degrees of anger, frustration and satisfaction.

The three teams are finally sorted out and sent to their respective dressing room. Exactly who was punching who will make the video of this episode extremely popular among on-line FCBA scholars. Yvonne Strahovski seen sharing a hug with Mary Winstead, the White Belt back around her waist.
“They thought they could gang up on us—but we fought off both Lookout and Foxfire!” Adriana Lima insists after the fight. “I am so proud of my flyweight sisters for jumping in. They fought bravely just like Eiza, Bar and Kelly! So I get to keep my title and I smoked the bottom of the insufferable Mary Elizabeth Winstead! I could not be happier!”

“Yes, she beat me, but then she overplayed her hand in the post-fight,” says MEW (sporting dark glasses to cover what is reputedly a world class shiner around her left eye). “Yvonne and my stablemates wouldn’t tolerate that. I do think those Lookout girls should have stayed in their seats. We could have handled those O & E jobbers. The Lookouts just mucked things up, though I admit their hearts were in the right place. No, Yvonne can keep the White Belt, it would be cowardly to ask her to put it away. I just want the chance to use it without so darned much interference.”

Says Yvonne Strahovski: “No Lookout girl would just sit there and watch another Lookout girl being ganged up on. I am proud of my sisters. It was confusing, I admit, but we saved Mary from unfair punishment and demonstrated that Lookout is never to be messed with!”

We remarked at the last Mary Elizabeth Winstead fight that it was a shame the post-fight obscured what was actually an excellent contest. We could say much the same about this one. It was close, but Adriana Lima was able to beat Mary Winstead down and keep her from coming back. That is an accomplishment against a fighter known for her ability to come back from punishing rounds and Odds and Ends should be justly proud of Adriana Lima. What comes next for the champ? We have no idea, but we expect it will be another thrilling contest (with or without the White Belt!)
