BEFORE:

"Well, I'm back here," says Cobie with a smile. "And, it's great to be here as part of a Canadian card and great to get the chance to prove that I'm the best Canadian in the FCBA, not SWAN."

"She's coming here to prove something," asks Serinda with a barely-hidden smirk. "Well, I'm coming here to prove something, too. And that's that Cobie will bounce when she hits the canvas."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Kiss Me Deadly' by Lita Ford, and here comes the lovely Cobie Smulders!"

Tess: "Smulders back in the indie ranks now after several years in Mirage Boxing."

McCarthy: "And, while she's got FCBA wins, she also has plenty of FCBA LOSSES..."

Cassie: "Not nearly as many as YOU have..."

McCarthy: "You LITTLE..."

O'Dell (sighing): "Cobie down the aisle and into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a deep blue number and a body that's clearly at top fitness for this one. And, that's 'Foxey Lady' by Jimi Hendrix pounding through the arena and here comes 'The Hottest Player In The Game' and the former Queen of the Ice Hotel, Serinda Swan!"

Cassie: "Swan, of course, has a big TV series coming out this fall, 'Marvel's Inhumans'...Mac, why aren't YOU in that one?"

Tess: "REALLY, BFF?"

McCarthy: "That STUPID agent of mine, that's WHY! I TOLD him to get me a part in that, because, when you need a beautiful woman, the FIRST number you call is MINE, but he was asleep at the switch. I ought to fire that BUM!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Swan into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that red bikini she likes. And, the ladies are about ready, so it's time for some picks. Tess likes Serinda. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Smulders' record is HORRIBLE. Swan!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Ladies in agreement, let's see if they're right. Smulders wants the gun platform stuff early. She's setting up at range and working that long left jab. She's got a bit of reach on Swan, and she's making use of that at the moment. Serinda moving the head and feet, looking to play some angles..."

Tess: "Not surprised Swan's willing to work at range as well. She's a good boxer and has shown she can succeed on these terms."

McCarthy: "This is TERRIBLE management is what it is. Against a girl with a record like Smulders', you don't mess around, you go right AFTER her."

O'Dell: "Doesn't seem to be Swan's plan at the moment. She's willing to work at range, box, feel out her fellow Canadian. Smulders, for her part, putting punches together pretty well right now. She's in rhythm, getting the jab on target and following with right hands. Gaining more and more control of the round as it goes on."

Cassie: "Definitely good stuff from Cobie, and nothing we haven't seen before. As Tess pointed out in her predictions, Smulders' record isn't great, but she's had a ton of great opponents."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in the first. Smulders in control right now, as Swan can't seem to get the geometry right. Cobie's solving all the problems and quickly, too, landing with both hands and piling up points right to the bell. No doubt about the winner in the first, it's Cobie Smulders who takes the early 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with Cobie back at range. It's not broken, so she has no intention of trying to fix it. Swan again looking to work some angles, having a bit more success with it now. She's getting her own left hand on target and able to follow on with rights, putting punches together for the first time in the fight."

Cassie: "Good exchanges now. Swan landing some hard shot, but Smulders giving as good as she's getting."

O'Dell: "No question about that. Cobie has definitely shown power in her career, and she's holding her own with one of the hardest-hitting lights in the FCBA at the moment. For her part, Serinda now finding a bit of a rhythm of her own, getting to the spots she wants and scoring."

Tess: "Both girls definitely finding the range now, Jenny."

O'Dell: "But, both still playing solid defense, slipping punches, catching others on the gloves. Despite all that, a solid percentage getting through, as both brunettes are showing excellent accuracy. Final seconds of a close second round. GOOD right hand by Smulders got Swan's attention at the bell. Close. Cobie."

McCarthy: "And Smulders now leads 20-18."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third underway and Swan getting a bit more aggressive. Serinda stepping to now, looking to get physical with Cobie. Smulders not having it. She wants space and she's working the jab to get it. Swan slipping past, going body, then back upstairs, landing some solid shot now."

McCarthy: "Smulders has to punch for respect here. Do that and you'll get your space."

O'Dell: "Serinda right in Cobie's grill, working body, and landing a BIG right hand! That wobbled Smulders! Cobie's knees gave a shimmy and now Swan letting the hands go. Smulders backing and covering, forced back to the ropes. Serinda now going all in to put an end to this thing..."

Cassie: "Wow! This turned around quickly..."

O'Dell: "Swan banging away as Cobie leans back into the ropes in a high guard. Smulders has the body on sale, but Swan not buying now. She's all about the upstairs, trying to find the finisher. Ten seconds left in the round. Serinda hammering away, but Cobie going to survive it. There's the bell. Swan wide in the third."

Tess: "And, despite the scare, Smulders is not only still standing, but still in the lead, 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Swan stalking now. Smulders again to the jab, trying to create space, but Serinda working past and getting physical inside. Cobie tying up, but Swan punching free and landing a solid right hand to the head. Smulders giving some ground, moving the feet, trying to slow this down."

McCarthy: "Problem is, she doesn't have the legs all the way back."

O'Dell: "And, that IS a problem, because Swan continues to be able to close, and, when Serinda does that, she's landing hard shot to both head and body. Again, Smulders ties up and again, Serinda punches free, lands a hook to the body and DROPS COBIE WITH A RIGHT UPPERCUT!"

Tess: "Snapped the head all the way back with that!"

O'Dell: "Smulders crumples to her back in the Maltese cross position. Swan quickly to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Cobie not moving at all. Six. Seven. Eight. Still no movement from Smulders. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO4 is 'The Hottest Player In The Game', Serinda Swan!"

Cassie: "I'm going to say it again. Wow. That was quite the turnaround."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Serinda Swan, and, Serinda, competitive early, but, then you got rolling..."

Serinda (nodding): "She's long and she can box, so, she could hang with me if we were at gunnery range. But, I'm as physical as any lightweight in the FCBA, so, it was just about getting to her and getting the hard leather on."

Tess: "And, when you did that..."

Serinda: "It was always going to end with her going night-night. Always."
