BEFORE:
The first round in the Victoria Secret tournament and the last match tonight sees Alessandra Ambrosio fight Cara Delevingne to advance to the last 16. Alessandra is 36 years old, stands 5'9 1/2 and holds a record of 14 wins, all by knockout and 3 defeats. Cara is 24 years old, stands at 5'8 and holds a record of 2 wins, also all by knockout and 2 defeats. Both fighters spoke at the press event, after being led to their seats by organizers of the tournament, they both smiled warmly for the cameras, but there was some animosity between the two as they gave each other a hard stare. Alessandra speaking first as she said “Me and Adriana (Lima) have spoken about this tournament, we are both the leaders of the girls at the events and I've told her I plan on fighting her in the final.”

Cara rolling her eyes before saying, "That is what gets on us younger girls’ nerves: you and Adriana are classed as leaders when we catwalk because of experience. This is fighting though and I'm in my prime, whilst you are an old b*tch.”

Alessandra's eyes narrow and her nostrils flares as she replies, "I have owned fighters in that ring, while last I checked, you have been swimming in the kiddies pool and getting your ass kicked.”

That sets the girls off as Cara pushes her chair back - Alessandra, not far behind, is up and the girls charge at each other, slamming together in a loud slap of bodies. Hands in the others hair as they topple off the stage onto the beach where the event is being held at. They roll around in their bikinis with sand sticking to their bodies. Both grunting as they try to pin each other down, until security finally gets them apart as they snarl and spit insults at each other. It isn't long till they will be in the ring to sort out the pecking order in the Victoria’s Secret girls.

Fight night on Muscle Beach - the ring is set up on the world famous beach, the crowd surrounding all four corners but security has opened a space for the fighters to walk through to enter the ring. First Alessandra comes out the changing room wearing a pink Victoria Secret bikini, the VS logo on her right cup and she has pink gloves on as she struts to the ring. Her coach, Taryn Terrell, is wearing a gold bikini. The two bump fists, then Alessandra jogs up the steps and climbs into the ring to loud cheers and wolf whistles.

Strutting around the ring with her fists raised in the air, she looks in a mood to prove Cara is beneath her as she looks serious tonight, before she stops in her corner and awaits her younger opponent. Out comes Cara - she marches towards the ring, wearing a grey Victoria Secret bikini and silver gloves, her eyes staring a hole through Alessandra in the ring.

Cara's coach climbs into the ring and holds the rope down for her to climb into the ring - she shows off her hand speed for the crowd with some shadow boxing, but Alessandra doesn't look impressed as she bangs her gloves together. The fighters are brought together by the referee, going head to head. They are trying to push each other back, show their superiority before a punch has even been thrown. Both are told to touch gloves and Alessandra, maybe wanting to show professionalism as a figure head amongst the VS Angels, puts her gloves out to show respect to Cara. The youngster though just shakes her head and jogs back to her corner, with Alessandra's eyes narrowing as she wants to rip the head off of Cara now. Both girls are back in their corners and the referee signals for the bell to be rung to start ten rounds of Lightweight boxing.

Round 1:
"Ding" Out come the fighters, moving around each other early as Cara tries to use her natural speed to keep Alessandra moving around and catching her out. But Alessandra wants to hurt her - she snaps a jab right between the eyes and presses her back towards the ropes with a flurry of punches. The youngster protecting herself with her guard high, but Alessandra presses her back towards the ropes, Cara getting her guard nearly knocked into her face as Alessandra really isn't in the mood to play. Cara shows good footwork to move away from the ropes, sidestepping out the way and lands two straight punches as Alessandra moves to attack her. Both girls circle as Cara tries to move around Alessandra, both girls trading single punches - the Brazilian is waiting for her chance to strike again. She parries a right cross and steps in to land a straight to the lips of her rival, knocking her head back, then she presses her back with three punches that snap Cara's head back. Knocking the English fighter onto the ropes, both girls are fighting hard as Cara tries to get herself off the ropes. Alessandra though controls her as she has the advantage of positioning. Cara manages to block a straight and lands two quick fire punches to each cheek of Alessandra then lands two more punches to the body to push her opponent back and give her a chance to escape from the ropes. Not long left in the round - the fighters let their hands go as they try to win the round, Cara hoping she can catch Alessandra with a punch to put her down to steal the round. The round ends with Alessandra jogging back to her corner without a worry judging by the smile on her face. Cara on the other hand is fuming. Cara heading back to her corner with a face full of thunder, her coach washing her face down as he tries to give her advice, she doesn't look too interested, just wanting to get back at Alessandra.

Round 2:
Cara is quicker out the blocks this time, not wanting to be crowded back this time. She lands a double jab to the face of Alessandra, moving out the way of a right hook from her rival. Her speed starts to finally come into play as she steps in and out the range of Alessandra, the older fighter starting to miss as Cara uses some impressive footwork. Alessandra does catch her with a left cross to press her back a step, but she misses the follow up right as Cara leans her head out the way. Cara comes back at her with a right hook to the body, then a follow up left cross up top to press Alessandra back onto her heels. Seeing her chance, Cara presses Alessandra back with a flurry that snaps onto her forearms as now the Brazilian is covering up. She presses Alessandra onto the ropes, digging a few body shots in to get Ambrosio grunting out in pain, Cara gets caught with a right hook to knock her back. Alessandra starting to press her opponent back to the ring center under a three punch combo of her own to the face of Cara. But the youngster moves out the way of a left and comes back with a right and left to the body, taking a jab to the face, before she steps out the way of a counter right. Alessandra looking frustrated as she tries to bulldoze Cara late in the round, but she gets sidestepped and caught to the face with a hard right to turn her head. The end of the round sees Cara pressing Alessandra back behind her guard till the bell rings, Cara smirking as she heads back to her corner. Alessandra now looks pissed off as she heads to her corner, Taryn having to calm her down, while Cara has a big grin in her corner.

Round 3:
Alessandra hoping to catch Cara out, but the youngster continues to outmaneuver her and catch her through the gloves to her nose. The English fighter lands a right cross up top and a left to the body, before leaning out the way of a right hook, then back in to land a straight that knocks the head of Alessandra back. Cara presses Alessandra back once more - she looks to be growing with confidence as she forces her rival to cover up. Forcing her back with four punches that start to redden the forearms of Ambrosio, before she goes to work on the body. Knocking Alessandra towards the ropes, some in the crowd look stunned by how well she's doing, while the rest are happy to watch the action. As Cara gets Alessandra near the ropes, the older fighter plants her feet and rips two straight punches into the face of the younger model. Cara tries to plant her feet to fight back, with both girls slugging it out as they get cheered on, but Alessandra still has her full power as she backs up her opponent, sweat starting to fly off both girls as they hit each other. Maybe Cara starting to underestimate Alessandra as she tries to move back and the older fighter shows her own bit of speed to keep in close. Backing Cara up as the round is coming to the end, both landing some cracking shots as their faces are reddening up. The bell rings with both girls glaring at each other, before turning and jogging to their corners. The tension in the ring is rising as the girls glare across the ring at each other.

Round 4:
The girls circle early on, Cara landing some good long range punches as she dances around Alessandra, she is looking to step in and land a big shot. But as she tries to, Alessandra blocks the right cross and lands a big right of her own to turn Cara's head to the side, then presses her back with two punches to her face. Some blood starts to run from the lips of Cara as she takes a left that hits across them, her top lip is bleeding as Alessandra presses her back. Cara forced to cover up as Alessandra presses her backwards, the crowd chanting both girls’ names as they seem to be really excited by the action as they have all night long. The youngster though slips under a right to land a left to the body and an overhand right, that creates some separation between them. The girls trading single punches as they dance around each other, Cara starting to get back into her groove as she's not being pressed backwards. The girls come in close to trade harder shots, Alessandra landing a straight and misses a follow up left hook as Cara moves back just in time. But with the round coming to an end, Alessandra is the one on the front foot, Cara forced back towards a corner as her body takes a beating. The bell rings with Cara shoving Alessandra back to create space for her to head back to her corner. Only problem is that Alessandra doesn't take the slight laying down. Going head to head with Cara, both fighters snarl and trade vicious insults. If these two were friends before the tournament, that looks well and truly over as their coaches pull them away from each other and back into their corners to be cleaned up and patched up.

Round 5:
Both fighters looking more aggressive as expected after their exchange at the end of the last round, Alessandra starting off stronger as Cara is playing into her hands, being too static as she is almost going head to head with her rival. But Cara soon gets back to what worked as she slips under a right hook and comes back up with an overhand right, that puts the Brazilian down to her side! Cara heads to a neutral corner as Alessandra pushes herself up at 2 to sit on her bum, looking more annoyed then seriously hurt - she shakes her head to clear any cobwebs hanging around. Alessandra beats the count at 8, staring daggers at Cara, and the girls told to fight, and back into each other they go, Cara looking to power through her opponent, finding that she is far from weak as she hoped she'd be. Instead both stand and trade, blood now coming from the lips of both fighters now that Alessandra's bottom lip is bleeding. Thankfully these two took photos for the event before the fight, as these two are not going to look like supermodels after this brawl. Cara backs Alessandra up two steps and the Brazilian is covering up as the English stunner backs her up around the ring. Alessandra though catches Cara with a straight to her nose after she parries a right, then snaps two punches to each cheek as she now presses Delevingne back in this hard fought clash. The round coming to an end, both girls stand and trade till the bell rings to end it, both fighters slightly bloody, faces puffing up, their tempers still at max though as a few more venomous words are exchange. Before they turn and head to their corners, Cara looking slightly the happier, she knows she still has a lot of work to do to win this, as Alessandra just won't go away.

Round 6:
Cara looking to continue her momentum, starts off the round strongly with her jab raining towards the head of Alessandra, who is forced to cover up. Moving to the body of Alessandra, Cara trying to open her up to finish this fight, she gets caught with an uppercut as Alessandra times her attack and Cara is knocked back several steps. Alessandra lands a straight to the nose of Cara, before slamming two punches across her face to force the Brit behind her guard. Hammering Cara back to the ropes, Alessandra is keeping her pinned there with a flurry of punches, till Cara is able to parry a right and clinch up with Ambrosio. The referee separating the girls, and Cara starts the faster as the girls are told to fight, landing a right cross and a left to the body. Alessandra comes back at her with a left hook of her own, as the girls fall back in tight, slamming in body shots to force gasps from both girls. Separating, Alessandra lands a stiff straight, but misses a right cross as Cara leans out the way and snaps her own right to the lips of her opponent. The seconds tick away in the round with both fighters just beating on each other till the bell rings to end the round. Both fighters starting to look tired as they sit back on their stools, still with plenty of fight left, their coaches working on getting them ready for the later rounds.

Round 7:
The girls come out circling around each other with their jabs slinging out to the others face as they are both starting to look desperate to end this fight. Cara lands a double jab through the guard of Alessandra - she looks to push her back as she adds a straight that lands off the tightened guard of her rival. She attempts to land a right but Alessandra ducks under and lands an uppercut. Cara stumbles back as Alessandra pushes forwards with a right and left hook, putting Cara down! Cara landing on her back, stirring as Alessandra gets to a neutral corner, the referee counting out Cara, the English fighter needing to use the ropes to get herself up at 8. The referee checks her over, waving the fighters back on as Cara tries to fight back, but she is still rocked as Alessandra catches her AGAIN to the face with a straight and a right hook. Cara rocked onto the ropes as Alessandra hammers at her. Delevingne stuck on the ropes, not fighting back as she seems half out of it by this point... The referee stepping in to pull Alessandra off of her rival and wave the fight off as Cara looks like she’s in no state to continue!


Official Decision: Alessandra Ambrosio via TKO Round 7


After: Alessandra wins a more tougher fight then some would have said before the bell rung at the beginning- maybe the tag of one of the favorites for the Brazilian could be off of her now. She doesn't care as she holds her hands aloft and enjoys the wild cheer from the crowd, the atmosphere is electric for this tournament. Both sets of coaches come out to help their fighters back to their corners, getting them cleaned up as Alessandra smiles and thanks Taryn for helping her. Cara of course is upset, had hoped this tournament would have been like the New Blood tournament a year ago, pushing her into people’s minds once again. Soon, Alessandra comes over to Cara's corner - she's gotten two drinks off a guy from the crowd and holds one out to Cara, like an olive branch after the bad blood between the two. Looking up at Alessandra, Cara looks like she's in two minds as she takes the drink offered to her, whether she should drink it or throw it in her face. She does the former as she bumps the plastic cup the drink is in with Alessandra's. Both take a drink and Alessandra leans down to tell Cara "You are going to be a big star babe. Tonight just wasn't your night.”

Cara nodding as she gets off her stool and replies "Next time will be different" as Alessandra smirks, and the tenseness seems to return. But Cara leaves the ring before starting up with Alessandra again, the crowd parting as Cars is helped by her coach to the back. Alessandra just happy to keep her spot as a leader of the Victoria Secret girls, the question being though if she can continue to show that as the fights get tougher and only the best can reign. For now, she celebrates in the crowd with Taryn looking anxious, Alessandra not being the greatest of drinkers, Taryn not looking forwards to carrying her friend and fighter to her car to get her home.
