Alesha Dixon vs Tamara Ecclestone
(Beever's Babes vs BBU Independent)
(33-26, 24 KO vs 3-1, 3 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: This fight features a special milestone for one of the most popular fighters on the BBU roster. Alesha Dixon enters the ring for the 60th time tonight and that's just two less than the current record mark held by her Beever's Babes stablemate Samia Ghadie.
However there's no time for any pre-fight celebrations from the veteran singer as Tamara Ecclestone steals all the headlines by voicing herself to terminate Dixon's long and sometimes unfortunate BBU career tonight: "That German cow Schwarz couldn't do it, so it's my turn to finally retire Dixon's circus act! She's long overdue to disappear from the news and give new talent - like ME - it's rightful place in the industry. Enough with the washed-up dinosaurs, the new generation is all here ready to kick ass!"

BBU TV's Denise van Outen reminds the viewers that Ecclestone actually comes off a loss inflicted by The Sirens' Melissa Satta at the Maelstrom PPV and her feisty if arrogant attitude won't exactly win her the support of the Cardiff audience tonight.
Alesha has seen it all in the BBU universe and enters this contest as the betting underdog, one doesn't really know how much gas is left in that Beevers tank but she's defeated Lucy Mecklenburgh in early August to show signs of boxing life regardless.

Alesha Dixon wears a light green bandeau bikini set and black gloves. Long dark brown hair straight, tucked behind the ears.
Tamara Ecclestone wears a red bikini set and golden gloves. Long dark brown hair in loose waves. The catchweight fight is scheduled for ten rounds.

Round 1:
Tamara seeks an early destruction of the Beevers veteran and stalks her around the ring with a jabbing approach; she splits Alesha's mitts repeatedly during the opening minute and knocks her backwards but lacks the true piledriver to really dent a hole in the singer's defense.
Alesha's been on the receiving end of several tough beatings and she deploys a defensive tactics to weather the original socialite storm.
That's a welcomed change worthy of a genuine veteran since Denise van Outen had doubts whether Dixon could actually hold her act together due to her infamous short fuse display against the likes of Jessica Schwarz. Slugging it out with Ecclestone is a bad idea, thankfully coach Denise Lewis navigates the tactical challenge and brings confidence into Alesha's demeanour.
In fact, it's the socialite who loses her temper at the bell and accuses the Beevers camp of "pure cowardice".

Round 2:
Trying to tease Tamara into a suicidal attack is playing with fire according to Denise van Outen but Alesha keeps working from the back foot early in the second and allows the younger brunette to dictate the pace from the front.
Ecclestone fires away from both flanks and splits the singer's guard again however Alesha shows that smooth touch to avoid the heavy strikes and makes the socialite wobble a couple of times due to losing her balance.
She responds with a well-measured counterpunching drive to stall Tamara's progress down the stretch and the feared power of the younger brunette is neautralized wholesale which triggers another verbal tirade aimed at the Beevers corner at the bell.
Tamara is losing her temper very quickly here tonight but that was to be expected based on her reputation.

Round 3:
Ecclestone is a power puncher - even though she met her match vs Melissa Satta - but her footwork leaves plenty of room for improvement and it's especially worrying against one of these singers who can actually move around the ring.
Tamara spends the opening minute of the round in a fruitless pursuit - barely grazing Dixon's gloves - and soon gets exposed in the middle of the ring when the Beevers veteran blasts her across the nose with a quick hook from the back foot.
The socialite's response shoots way above the singer's head and another crushing hook drills her on the jaw to send her into jelly knees mode.
Alesha finally moves on the front (left) leg and traps her opponent in close range where she fires away upstairs and snaps Ecclestone's head back before reeling her butt-in-ropes with more quickfire success.
Tamara's defense is a little bit of a mystery at this stage of her career and she does look suspect while getting pounded in the corner.
Dixon barks in her efforts to shut her down and completes the rout by knocking extra leather on the jugs. Ugh! Tamara just couldn't cover up for that series and groans in visible discomfort at the bell.

Round 4:
Tamara wants to lead it out from the front and prevent Alesha from gaining momentum but she's too slow to deliver the initial tangle and Dixon - yes, the very same alleged washed-up dinosaur - beats her for a crunching left hook over the top that finds the temple and drops Tamara on her heels.
The socialite refuses to back off and tries to slug her foe into disarray but Alesha's point-blank range combo is simply too fast and nails her on the chin clean.
Ugh! Ecclestone wobbles forward with a whimper and Dixon BLASTS her on the jaw with a rapid follow up! Tamara goes all shimmy shake and SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES simply unable to maintain her balance anymore.
Did you see that? Alesha rolls back the years and decks the heavier woman in truly elite fashion! Ecclestone wants to beat the count as quickly as possible, a matter of personal pride and all that, she's up at five but Denise van Outen doesn't like the hectic recovery.
Alesha eyes a swift double up of the pain factor and lands another uppercut on the jaw followed by a nasty hook on the left eye that makes the younger brunette gurgle in discomfort. Tamara's legs stay back as she tries to swing one up the middle and quite frankly her defense is nowhere to be seen so Dixon hammers in another left/right combo that slumps the socialite on the ropes with another loud whimper! AND THE REF CHARGES IN to stop Alesha from blowing the embattled socialite out of the water! Upset TKO4 Alesha Dixon!!!

AFTER: Tamara wants to argue the stoppage but suddenly cries out in pain and slides down on her backside in the corner; she looks all out of sorts mentally rather than physically here. Denise van Outen herself is shocked over the swift demise of the ballyhooed power puncher but perhaps that Melissa Satta defeat truly affected her confidence in more ways than one? Either this or Denise Lewis and Alesha Dixon have come up with a masterplan, so rarely seen during her recent struggles on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Beevers camp exposed Tamara as a raw prospect, one that can stir the media & social pot alright and throw a good deal of punches on target however unable to match the agility and bendiness of a well-prepared opponent.
The counterpunching success isn't the preferred way to win fights in the BBU but Tamara still didn't have a back-up plan when her initial rush failed to connect with Dixon's flesh.
And for once the socialite's pre-fight mind games proved ineffective - but it's hard to bully a veteran of 60 BBU fights into a mental submission long before the opening bell.
Tamara has learned the bitter truth the hardest way possible...
...and it gets even more bitter for her during the post-event VIP party as she's forced into kissing Alesha's feet in the public.
Tamara blames that painful ordeal on a lost bet while being drunk several weeks back but nobody buys that story, not on the same night that saw Alesha stop her in the tracks in such a cruel fashion!

Final result: Alesha Dixon def. Tamara Ecclestone TKO4.
