BEFORE: While Ivana Baquero remains the hottest Spanish name in the BBU lately, Sara Carbonero is destined to hold her own in the media spotlight as she sets up another intriguing international meeting in the Madrid Arena against jack of all trades, Kate Lawler. While Sara is a journalist by trade, Kate's attention-seeking career has seen her browse modelling, celebrity wrestling, DJ and radio presenting over the last decade. That often leads to instant criticism from her peers and Sara is no exception calling out the blonde "pure amateur trash" during the pre-fight press conference.

However the Spanish babe really needs to be careful not to unleash the blonde's wrath tonight since Kate is truly a short fuse operator as Leilani Dowding painfully found out last October. What's more, Lalwer pounded both Billie Faiers and former champion Imogen Thomas into verbal submission before and enters tonight's contest as a slight betting favorite - also helped by the fact Sara couldn't handle Lily Aldridge inside this very building back in July.

Sara Carbonero wears a silver one-piece swimsuit with blue trim and blue gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Kate Lawler wears a red one-piece swimsuit with white trim and white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Kate doesn't really care she fights on hostile territory tonight and leaps into immediate jabbing drive that forces the Spanish girl on the back foot before a solid guard neutralizes the blonde's early push. Still, Kate just lays it out there and seemingly hopes to catch the brunette with a classic haymaker but she's not that fortunate and Sara clinches her following a hectic close range scramble. Lawler displays superior strenght and shoves the local favorite away yet she can't match her footwork thereafter and finds nothing but thin air as Carbonero rides out the defensive tactics through the remainder of the round.

Round 2:
Sara's been guilty of opening her fights slow but this time she's actually forced to weather the Londoner's storm more than anything else and Kate makes the most feisty impression this side of Dorota Rabczewska as she digs her mitts straight up the middle to stun the Spanish woman on her heels. Sara needs to inject more pace into her actions but gets outworked in close range hand over fist and is forced to deploy more defensive circles which only fuel the blonde's desire to punish her! Kate hassles the subdued opponent all across the ring and Carbonero avoids real trouble only thanks to her superior footwork!

Round 3:
This kind of performance from Sara won't make Ivana Baquero sweat over the national number one status and it's like the TV reporter simply can't match Lawler's ferocity even if she wanted to. Either this or she tries to lure the English tourist into a suicidal attack or simply wear her out but that's a risky strategic call based on Kate's destruction of former champion Imogen Thomas which remains her biggest BBU scalp to date. The blonde's leather rush keeps the brunette subdued pillar-to-post in round number three and the blatant clinching during the final minute does nothing to prevent the looming English whitewash on the cards. This is a ridiculously lethargic performance from Carbonero which leaves the Madrid Arena audience silent at the bell.

Round 4:
Sara has avoided physical damage thus far but Kate truly intends to take care of that in the fourth; she didn't travel to Madrid just to dominate the scorecards but knock the brunette stunner out plain and simple! She leaps into another jabbing drive but all these jeers and whistles from the crowd have finally woken up the Spanish hopeful who engages in a furious close range leather dispute that knocks the tourist back on her heels for the first time tonight. Both women trade vicious blows like it's a classic flyweight bash and Sara finds the precision neccessary to shut down the blonde behind a tight earmuff. Kate's guard hasn't really been tested and she's a natural aggressor in the ring however Carbonero's power supply rattles the older woman back to the ropes and it's Lawler seeking a clinching respite come the dying seconds for a change.

Round 5:
Kate shrugs off the lack of success from the previous round quickly and mounts another stalking challenge but Sara answers in a similar fashion and as both women exchange strikes upstairs, the brunette's precision comes to the fore and she sinks the English lass on her heels again. This time she nails her with a vicious combo on the nose and adds a stuffing combo on the solar plexus which makes Kate moan in pain. Sara's bendy display allows her to avoid a looming clinch and she smacks the blonde with more accurate hooks to expose the Londoner's guard repeatedly during the second minute. Kate's head snaps back a little too often for comfort and she has to yield real estate but her feet get tangled up and she only gets wrenched into the turnbuckle under more close range assault from the local girl. Sara really finds her stride in the closing seconds and pours crisp strikes to the body which leave the tourist completely exposed at the bell. Ugh! That's what the Madrid crowd wanted to see from the word go!

Round 6:
It takes more than a couple of bad rounds to remove the fighting spirit from Lawler's approach but she struggles to keep up with the improved Carbonero slugging and the local babe tees off with more successful hooks to drop the blonde on her heels in the center of the ring. Kate barks in her efforts to retain the dominant position but eats too many clean punches up the middle and bends forward with a whimper; Sara blasts a left cross on the nose and adds another low hook to the navel that sends the tourist into a tail spin and the brunette's superior agility enables her to dent more holes into the blonde's crumbling defense. Lawler scampers back to the ropes only to get trapped there with another hooking drive and her guard simply can't embrace the Spanish heat which results in blood streaming from her nose come the bell. Sara just manhandles her stranded foe with a painfully effective head hunting drive to earn a well deserved standing ovation from the Madrid Arena crowd!

Round 7:
That nasal injury has finally taken the sting out of Kate's performance but she's no match to Sara's uptempo assault in the seventh - the Londoner just isn't able to survive a lenghty defensive stand and eats punches like skittles now. The crowd errupts in joy when the blonde's knees buckle underneath the point-blank onslaught and Carbonero hauls in more juice to pound the helpless opponent into stupor... all Sara now and she wipes blood over Kate's face to add the artistic impression value... the nasal injury becomes too much for Lawler to handle and SHE SIMPLY TAKES A KNEE to but herself extra time... what a fall from grace from the early rounds dominatrix... Sara bunny hops in the corner and awaits the referee's call to resume the fight... she's got the tourist shaken up mentally as well as physically and she gets another opportunity when Lawler survives the mandatory eight count... the Londoner just doesn't have the speed and agility to avoid another leather rush upstairs and gets pummelled back to the corner in no time... her guard soaks up the initial combo but then drops to the side when Sara punches her straight in the nose again... Ugh! Welcome to the punchbag club! Kate gets wrapped in a hooking landslide and gives up the ghost deep into the third minute.. but the local favorite won't let her off the hook anymore and forces the ref to stop the fight when Lawler's nose still remains in one piece. Bloody TKO7 Sara Carbonero!!!

AFTER: This defeat will probably damage Kate's pride more than anything else but it also tells a story about Sara's elite prospects especially considering the Ivana Baquero hype down at flyweight. The Madrid native might have succumbed to the FCBA-bound Lily Aldridge but she's more than capable of stealing the BBU headlines going forward. She ignores the vanquished blonde and prefers to dwell on the standing ovation she receives from her compatriots in the stands however there's one girl who simply can't refuse to take a shot at the tourist's demise:
