Kaya Scodelario versus Bebe Rexha

(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)
Intro:
Kaya Scodelario fights the debuting Bebe Rexha on the sands of
Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, two young bantamweights looking to
hammer each other into submission.
Kaya is 25 years old, stands at 5'6 and holds a record of 15 wins, all
by knockout and 4 defeats in her career.
Bebe is 27 years old, stands at 5'5 and as stated this is her debut,
she comes from Brooklyn, New York.
The fighters met at the press event on the stage on the beach, going
nose to nose, both looking confident as they put their hands on their
hips, organisers separate the girls and tell them to head to their
spots on the stage.
Bebe stands on one side wearing a red one piece that shows off her
curves, while Kaya wears a black one piece with white dots on.
Kaya starts her speech by saying "the beach is looking good and while
I'm disappointed to have lost to Emily Van Camp, this is certainly the
remedy to cure those blues" smiling as she winks to the cheering
crowd.
She adds "getting to punch out a blonde certainly makes things fun, so
unlucky Bebe that you got me as your induction into celebrity boxing,
that sand I hear tastes horrible"
Bebe shaking her head, starting her own speech by saying "listen
little girl, I am not interested in your crap! I'm here to take your
ass for my trophy cabinet and soon enough take the title that you
couldn't win"
It's Kaya's turn to shake her head, as Bebe continues "I am taking
over the charts from girls like Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, who
I'd loved to have retired myself" some in the crowd agreeing, others
booing her.
Both girls bump bodies as they come back together for the final face
off, several insults being traded as the fighters look ready to kick
off, Kaya is the first to back away.
Bebe laughing as she says "I guess you are a coward little girl"
forcing Kaya to turn, the English girl laughs as she brushes her hair
back and heads towards the blonde.
Security on the stage gets between the girls, Bebe waving a snarling
Kaya to come get some, the girls are led off stage to several boos,
the crowd want to see them fight, but they have to wait one more day.
Fighting time, the ring is set up into the sand with bleachers set up
for the fans, judges table set up on one side of the ring with cameras
on two sides to catch all the action.
Out comes Kaya first, Taryn Terrell is with her as her coach, Kaya is
wearing a black bikini with a red rose on her right bra cup, black
gloves and her brunette hair is tied into a ponytail.
She heads to the ring with a smile on her face, nodding to some fans
in the crowd as she looks relaxed, even chatting to Taryn about the
fight.
Climbing into the ring, she jogs to her corner, punching the top
turnbuckle and turning to point at where Bebe is going to come from,
smirking as she warms up with Taryn's help.
Now out comes Bebe, she has her coach behind her as she is wearing a
red bikini with matching gloves, her blonde hair is braided.
She looks focused as she heads to the ring, staring at Kaya as the
girls scowl at each other, the singer punching the air as she is
thinking of punching Scodelario's face off.
Into the ring climbs Bebe and if not for the referee, she'd be in the
face of Kaya before the bell, the referee warning her to calm down and
points to her corner for her to go to, heading to her corner; Bebe
warms up herself with her coach.
The referee waves both fighters to come to the ring centre, bumping
body to body, the fighters try to shove each other back as they go
head to head.
Asked to touch gloves, they step back from each other, making threats
on what they are going to do to each other.
Once back in their corners, the referee signals for the bell to begin
10 rounds of bantamweight action.
Round 1:
Out come the fighters as both start off circling, probing punches as
you'd expect are the opening gambits of both fighters.
Till Bebe shows her aggressive streak, feinting with a left and
stepping in with a right cross around the guard of Kaya to her cheek.
Bebe driving a surprised Kaya back to the ropes with two punches to
the top of her head, but she misses with another right cross as the
English fighter slips under the punch and lands a right to the ribs of
Rexha.
The girls start to slug it out in tight, heads down as they work the
others bodies, gasping as they get hit with Kaya adding a few sneaky
punches to the sides of the jugs of the singer.
Bebe though seems to have the power advantage, starting to back Kaya
back towards the ropes again with two body shots and a left cross.
Kaya forced to cover up and give ground as Bebe keeps the pressure on
her, landing a few punches around the guard after mostly hitting off
the forearms of the younger fighter.
As the round heads to an end, Kaya starts to show her experience,
slipping under a right hook and moving into space.
Then as Bebe tries to get back onto the attack, Kaya digs her jab into
the nose of the singer and ducks a left that sails harmlessly over her
head.
Kaya ending the round stronger as she digs a right to the side of
Rexha's face and a left to the lips of the blonde, the bell ringing
with both girls smirking.
Jogging back to their corners for advice and to be cleaned up, Bebe
looking impressive for her first ever fight, nodding to her coach as
she listens intently to his advice.
Round 2:
This time Kaya starts the round quicker then the last, landing a
double jab early and leaning out the way of a right cross from her
opponent.
Kaya moving side to side, forcing Bebe to try to settle herself but
keeping her from planting her feet, the brunette digging her punches
to each cheek of her blonde rival.
Bebe managed to catch Kaya with a left, pushing forwards with two more
punches through the guard of Scodelario to knock her head back.
Moving back to create space, Kaya catches Bebe coming in with a right
cross, the slightly older fighters head turned and Kaya presses
forwards to land three punches through and around the guard of her
rival.
She manages to push Bebe towards a corner, Rexha planting her feet and
coming back at the British actress, leading to another fiery exchange
between both fighters.
Slamming punches into each other, no real technique as they just want
to land something to hurt the other badly, Kaya landing the cleaner
punches early in the exchange as Bebe hasn't good ring position.
Then Bebe manages to nudge Kaya back with a shoulder barge, the
referee warning her to keep things clean as she continues to push Kaya
back with punches this time.
Kaya forced behind her guard as she takes a straight to her lips, a
groan escapes from the brunette as her blonde rival pushes her back to
the ropes.
The bell ringing with Kaya looking relaxed as she jogs to her corner,
while Bebe nods to her coach, knowing she made a few mistakes, but
doesn't look too bad.
Sitting on their stools, there is a definite scowl from both to the
other as they certainly don't like each other, both showing a few
marks on their face.
Round 3
This time both fighters circle and exchange single punches to start
the round, Kaya trying to use her speed to dance around her opponent.
But Bebe timed her coming in, both slamming a right across the others
face, the blonde was able to land the next punch before Kaya with a
left cross landing.
Suddenly Bebe has Kaya wheeling back onto her heels, the blonde
pounding away at any part she can hit as the actress does her best to
cover up.
Kaya on the ropes now as her sides take a pounding, Bebe looking
excited as she is enjoying pounding away at her opponent's body.
The English girl is forced to clinch up, pulling Bebe in tight as the
girls shove each other with their bodies, the referee needed to
separate the fighters.
Kaya smartly moving to create space, Bebe stalking her around the
ring, parries a right by Scodelario and lands a straight of her own.
Bebe just looks dominant, forcing Kaya to retreat behind her guard as
she keeps coming forwards, any punches that come towards the face she
is parrying them away and countering her opponent.
Late in the round, Kaya stepping out the way of a right hook and lands
a double jab over the top and follows quickly with a right cross as
she looks to get something in this round.
The girls soon fall in tight again, nearly bumping heads as they try
to push the other back with punches landing to the others body forcing
groans.
The bell rings with Bebe showing how dangerous she is, Kaya shaking
her head as she returns to her corner, a look of frustration crossing
her face as Taryn has to get her refocused on the task.
While Bebe allows herself a moment to smile, her coach looks happy
with how her debut is going up to now, reminding her not to go over
confident, she still has a hard task to overcome.
Round 4:
Bebe starts the round stalking Kaya with her jab as a measuring stick,
trying to keep the pressure on the brunette.
Kaya keeping on the move though, taking a few glancing punches to her
face and landing several punches through the gaps left in the blondes
defence.
The American looks to land a right hook as she is looking to add more
woe to Kaya, but misses and instead is paid back with an uppercut that
looks to have hurt her opponent.
Kaya knocking the head of Bebe back with four punches, before she gets
clinched up in desperation by Rexha, both sneaking punches to the
others kidney area till the referee gets involved to pry the fighters
apart.
Bebe looks to come back at Kaya again, but her inexperience starts to
rear it's head as she misses with two wild punches.
Instead she eats a straight onto her nose and Kaya forces her back
with a flurry of punches at her head, the blonde forced to cover up as
she is driven to the ropes, kicking up sand as she goes.
Kaya slamming her punches around the guard of Bebe to her body, her
eyes like a hawk on the head of her rival, waiting for the guard to
open up.
As Bebe tries to fight back, Kaya leans out the way of a right cross
and lands another straight to her nose, blood starting to flow from a
small cut on the bridge of Bebe's nose.
Kaya ending the round dominantly as she keeps Bebe stuck on the ropes,
the bell ringing with Kaya whipping her ponytail into the face of her
rival, a disrespectful slap that has Bebe fuming
Her face as she returns to her corner shows she was hurt, she winces
as she sits down, her coach not happy with her for letting such a
start go to waste.
Round 5:
Bebe looking to go on the attack from the off, missing with her
punches as her coach shouts at her to calm down and use her head.
Kaya lands an overhand right to the side of the singers head after she
ducks a left cross, turning Bebe's legs to jelly.
Somehow she stays up as she stumbles back and Kaya lands another three
punches that knock the head of the American around.
Bebe's eyes shutting as she falls back and lands in the sand with Kaya
raising her arms into the air, the English fighter jogging to a
neutral corner as the referee checks her downed opponent.
Rexha isn't out cold, but she isn't stirring much as the count is
being made, soon the referee reaches 10 and the fight is over!
Winner: Kaya Scodelario KO Round 5
After:
If this fight was to shake off any doubts for Kaya after her title
defeat a month OK, judging by her face it seems to have worked as she
does a quick lap inside the ring, around her beaten opponent.
Bebe getting helped to sit up by her coach as she starts to get out of
her daze, her coach rightly telling her "great effort babe, we can
work on things now we know your weaknesses"
Even cameras catch Kaya after her lap is finished, nodding towards
Bebe to show her respect for a tough fight, though there certainly is
no love lost between them as neither smiles at each other.
Bebe is helped to her corner to be cleaned up, telling her coach "I
can't wait till I get another shot at this" shedding a small smile as
her face is cleaned up of sweat and some blood.
Soon she's helped from the ring with the crowd giving her a round of
applause in recognition of her effort, she gives the fans a clap of
her own, though with her coach helping he Mr to stand as she is still
slightly jelly legged.
But as soon as she is gone, Kaya gets her hand raised by the referee,
before bowing to the crowd and heading towards the leaving the ring.
Once she's climbed out the ring, she bows a few kisses to her fans,
then heads to the back with Taryn smiling widely and looking proud of
how far her friend has come.
