Before: “I admit I have been struggling so far this year,” Alex D says referring to her 0-3 2017 record, “but I know I am better fighter than that. I like fighting on the beach and it’s the perfect place for me to start turning things around. I don’t know much about Gigi, but I’m not here to write her biography, I’m here to knock her out.”
Alexandra and Gigi are in shorts and team tee shirts (FOXFIRE AND THE FIGHTING ACADEMY across their proud chests, beneath which are pushup bras making the lettering all the more impressive). They are under a canopy erected near the beach ring on a Bahamian resort island. Lucky are the reporters assigned to cover this story!)

“I know how, Alex feels,” Gigi observes, “this hasn’t been a good year for me either. No wins for me, but, I do agree with Alex: this is the perfect fight for a turn around. I think I can take her and pull off a career igniting comeback. This is going to be an Upset of the Year candidate!”

Alexandra not looking pleased: “You’re the underdog in this fight because you’re not that good of a fighter. Get used to it. You’re a loser and you’re going to stay one.”

Gigi gets feisty: “You got a lot of nerve talking to me like that. You’re the loser and you’ll be an even bigger one when I kick your overrated butt.”

“You got a big mouth,” Alexandra says, “I can see you need a butt-kicking to remind you there’s more to boxing than looking good in a swimsuit—and I’d beat you out in the Swimsuit Competition too!”

Gigi’s jaw drops in shock and then as Alexandra is smirking at the reaction, the taller model lashes out with a slap across the face that wipes away that smirk. Alex lets out a shriek of fury and throw herself at the taller Gigi. Gigi and Alex lock hands and stumble around in a test of strength. Then they crash into one of the pole holding up the canopy and down comes the canvas covering them. Wild cries and screams can be heard from under the canvas until hotel employees pull it back. Gigi and Alex have torn off each other’s tops and are banging their chests together while on their knees with their hands buried in each other’s hair. It takes considerable effort to pry the two angry ladies apart (they kick at each other until they have both been dragged out of range).

Makes a great warm-up video to show the FCBA Arena crowd as the piped in fight appears on the arena’s Jumbotrons. Alexandra in a royal blue bikini with FOXFIRE across the back of her bottoms in white lettering. Royal blue gloves and a matching ribbon to secure her ponytailed hair. Gigi in light blue bikini with yellow trim. Yellow gloves with blue laces. Hair pulled back in a battle braid. Both fighters glaring at each other all during ring instructions. They get through these well enough, but when it’s time to touch gloves, Gigi uses it as a chance to shove Alex back and Alex is ready to lunge on her, but referee quickly between the feuding beauties and restores order with stern warnings. Two go to their corners with sullen looks. The landward side of the beach features deluxe padded bleachers with lawn chair seating at ringside for fans will to pay extra (and there seems to be a lot of them this afternoon! Seaward side offers an open view of the sparkling bay as the frame for the two fighters as the bell sounds and they head for each other across the sand.

R1: Gigi moving her long legs skillfully on the sand as she fires quick punches at the on-coming Alexandra. Alexandra clearly seeking to get in close, but is kept back by Gigi’s accurate distance punches to the head. Gigi also circling around to pump shots into Alex’s flanks and then bouncing her punches off Alex’s head. Alex looking frustrated at how mobile Gigi is this afternoon, but still keeps trying to get her punches into the rangy model’s body. Alex finally working her way in to smite the Hadid body with rights and lefts to ribs, breast and belly, but Gigi throws up a nasty jab that bloodies Alex’s nose and bangs up her chest until she falls back. Rounds ends in a wide win for Gigi Hadid.

R2: Gigi back with her long range punching and constant movement. Alexandra taking the hits early, but she then she is able to get ahead of one of Gigi’s moves. Gigi takes it hard to the chin and then Alex finally able to get in close and bring her punches crashing into Gigi’s body. Gigi hard pressed at this point, but gets her jab going with counters smashing into Alexandra’s face, Alex trying to hang in, but then Gigi gets hooks into Alex’s belly to stun her. Gigi with nasty uppercuts into Alex’s breasts and follow-up crushing straight rights and lefts. Alex falls back, but gets her own jab going and Gigi’s face gets stinging punches. Gigi not retreating as they battle it out on the sand. Punching rages to the bell—and beyond. Referee has to jump in break it up. Sweat dripping from glistening, panting bodies as Gigi and Alexandra separate. Judges give it to Gigi, but it’s much closer this round.

R3: Alexandra makes a determined effort to get out of her corner and put Gigi on the defensive as the round begins. Gigi immediately finds herself fighting in close and she is getting hammered hard to the body as she struggles deploy her jab. Alex also moving her upper body more and so is not so easy a target to Gigi’s counters. Gigi then takes some hard clips to the chin and a hard right to the jaw. She pulls away, trying to put some distance between herself and Alex, Alex moving quickly to block the retreat, but Gigi finally able to use the jab to knock Alex’s head back. Alex ducks down, shifts position and pumps fresh uppercuts into Gigi’s chin and upper chest. Gigi trying to punch Alex back, but Alex going to the belly late in the round and has Gigi doubled up as the bell sounds. Gigi moving stiffly back to her corner. Alexandra has won the round wide.

R4: Alexandra Daddario surprised her in the last round, but now it’s Gigi Hadid’s chance to move those long legs across the sand and smash Alex in the jaw with an opening right cross. Alex caught flush, staggers back and Gigi plows ahead with fresh punches into Alex’s chin and jaw. Alex covering up her face with her gloves as she lurches back into the ropes. Gigi has her opponent on the ropes and she fires away with a sheeting rain of leather that works over Alex’s big breasts and pounds her belly with repeated hooks. Alex writhing under this attack, but can’t seem to organize herself for several long moments. Then Alex wraps her arms around Gigi to end the torment and flings her across the sand. Gigi is up at once, plainly shocked at Alex’s resort to grappling. Referee sternly lecturing Alexandra who nods, but has more of her attention fixed on Gigi who looks rather impatient about the delay. The official having completed his reprimand, now waves Gigi back in. Alex’s defenses more prepared now and she is able to hold Gigi off through the remainder of the round. Gigi looked very irked with Alex at the bell and appears to want to do some lecturing herself, but Alex ignores her and referee moves in to prevent Gigi from following.

R5: Gigi looking fired up during the break, eager to get at Alexandra, who sits quietly on her stool whispering to Foxfire trainer Rachel Nichols. Alex off her stool briskly which is a good thing as Gigi Hadid is charging across the sand, headed right for her. Alex lets Gigi come in close, but then as Gigi is cranking up her first right of the round, Alex lunges in with a surprise right that catches Gigi between the eyes. Gigi stumbling backwards, her arms pinwheeling, and legs trembling. Alex zips right in and pounds Gigi back to the ropes with hard hooks to the belly. Gigi doubled up in gasping shock now gets her head knocked from side to side by Alex’s sweeping rights and lefts. Gigi takes a seat on the ropes as she goes face in gloves. Alex firing away at Gigi’s body, making it shudder with every fresh blow landed. Gigi suddenly wrapping her rounds Alex, who sets her feet to keep from being thrown while pumping short range shots into Gigi. Referee finally pries them apart. Gigi promptly driven right back to the ropes, but slides along the strands, trying to escape from Alex. Alex in a frenzy trying to get Gigi down. Gigi clinching again and again. Finally breaks up the momentum of Alex’s attack, but Gigi just bottled up this round. A shutout round for Alexandra who glares at the shell-shocked Gigi before stomping back to her own corner. Long walk across the sand for a badly battered Gigi Hadid who sinks onto her stool with a sigh of relief.

R6: Alexandra approached Gigi with a predator’s determination as the new round gets going. Gigi trying to maintain a tight defense, but Alex strikes hard at Gigi’s belly and she doubles forward with a groan. Then Alex brings uppercuts in behind Gigi’s too loose protective gloves and strikes her chin. Gigi shudders and FALLS TO HER KNEES! Alexandra quickly goes to neutral corner as referee starts counting. Tears running down Gigi’s cheeks as she forces her agonized body to stand and beat the count. Fight resumes. Alex in no hurry as she returns and circles as Gigi turns with her, but flickers out only token counters. Alex then makes her move, she feints at the belly, but then brings heavy rights and lefts crashing into the sides of Gigi’s head. Gigi trying to turn away, but her legs become entangled and then Alex brings a crashing right uppercut into her chin. Gigi’s feet leaves the sand as her arms fall to her sides, She skids to a stop, eyes fluttering and chest heaving, but she does no more as the referee steps in and counts to “…TEN! YER OUT!”
THE WINNER: ALEXANDRA DADDARIO DEFEATS GIGI HADID KO6.

After: Gigi Hadid brought around only to find Alexandra Daddario, gloves removed and eager for a Walk, Gigi nods unhappily and allows Alex to pluck her off her stool, fasten an arm around her waist and then half walk/half drag her around the ring. Gigi resisting all she can, but only succeeds in annoying Alexandra.
“I can see a Walk won’t be enough for you,” Alex announces as they complete the circuit.

Alex then spins Gigi around, kick her a kick in the buns and sends her shooting between the strands of the seaward side of the ring, Gigi on her hands and knees.

“DON’T YOU DARE ALEXANDRA DADDARIO! DON’T YOU DARE!” Gigi cries as she tries to scramble to her feet and get away from the angry Alex.

“I DARE!” Alex cries and grabs Gigi around the waist and drags her into the water!

Gigi is shrieking in shock and fury as Alex releases her. The gentle waves are washing over the mortified Gigi as she sits and watches as Alexandra walks back up the beach to the cheers of her fans. Gigi slams the water in frustration and then staggers out to be rescued by her corner crew.

“Alex is a dirty cheater!” Gigi indigantly insists in the post-fight. “She should have been DQ’d for what she did in R4! Then she has the nerve to kick me into the ocean! I could have drowned or been eaten by a shark—or something! She is a terrible person! I swear she will pay for this!”

“Okay, I am sorry I lost my head in R4, but that is not why I won that fight. I won because I fought smarter than Gigi Hadid. She has a smart mouth, but not ‘ring smarts”—and she was in water no more than a couple of inches deep. She was never in any danger. She needs just learn her lesson and move on,” says Alexandra D.

Very nice slugging match. Gigi Hadid did have her chances, but she made mistakes as well, especially that reckless charge at the start of R5. Alexandra Daddario was able to hurt her and then finish her off in the 6th. Crowd at the beach and in the arena plainly enjoyed the proceedings (before-during-and after the fight), They certainly got their entertainment dollar’s worth with this one.
