Before: “I have to congratulate Eiza in stepping up to fight me when Bar Refaeli decided to duck me.” a playful Mary Elizabeth Winstead tells the press. “I mean she’s only been at this 2 years. Takes nerve to face a ‘tuff girl’ like ‘Might Mary’ Winstead.”

The beautiful Mexican model-singer is not amused. Eiza Gonzalez gives Mary a fierce look: “I may be new at this sport, but in 10 fights I have learned much. One of them is that some veterans talk too much and think they can scare rookies with their big talk. I am not one of them Mary Elizabeth Winstead. You think because you can beat that Australian Miranda Kerr, that you can beat me?”

“Well, it’s a start. You know I beat Laetitia Casta—twice—so I like fighting you models. You always look good in a swimsuit and even better knocked out at my feet,” Mary says.

“You beat Casta in 2010 and 2012—ancient history,” says Eiza. “You aren’t fighter you were then. Time is not on your side. It is on mine.”

Mary’s eyes narrow: “I appreciate you know my record, but are you suggesting I am getting old?”

“Time is hard on boxers. I can see it has been hard on you,” Eiza purrs.

“You really want to get worked over by me, don’t you?” Mary says breathing hard with fire in her eyes.

“No, I want to work you over—and I will!” Eiza promises. “Prepare for it. Your end is near.”

Mary stomps over to Eiza’s podium. They are both wearing white blouses and skirts (red for Mary and black Eiza). Mary grabs a handful of Eiza’s blouse to pull her into her face.
“You don’t talk to me like that Eiza! You will apologize right this minute!”

Eiza is surprisingly cool considering she’s literally got Mary in her face. She smiles nastily: “I hit a nerve, didn’t I? You can feel the clock ticking on your career.”

“Shut up!” Mary snarls, she shakes Eiza in frustration.

“Temper! Temper! ‘Mighty Mary’ “ taunts Eiza and suddenly her right hand plunges behind the waist of Mary’s skirt and yanks upward revealing she has a grip on Mary’s white satin panties .

“OWWWW!!!” Mary lets out of screech as Eiza gives her a frontal wedgie with her right hand! Eiza uses her left to grab Mary’s hair. The result is that Mary loses her grip on Eiza’s blouse as Eiza twists herself free though her blouse is ripped open in the struggle. Her pale pink pale bra can be clearly seen to those interested (which is to say just about everyone watching as the press crowds forward to watch the fracas more closely).

Mary struggles to get free of the wedgie and the hair pull, but then Eiza puts a knee into Mary’s crotch, Down goes Mary with a howl. Eiza laughs and skips away as Sophie Turner, Rachel Nichols and Laura Vandervoort come rushing to the aid of their Foxfire sister lightweight.

Eiza is in the wings where Bar Refaeli and Adriana Lima are ready to back her up. However FCBA Security rushes in to keep the stables apart. Mary is led away furious with anger and can be heard vowing vengeance.

Fight night finds the clearly still angry Mary now in a blue-gray bikini with gray gloves and boots. Mary’s bobbed hair loose but wetted down. Eiza in a black bikini with red gloves and boots (black laces). Hair in a battle braid down her back. Mary does keep her temper though Eiza is clearly trying to provoke her with sneering looks and trying to body up on the veteran. However Mary deliberately misses the parting glove tap and gives Eiza a look of contempt before marching away. Eiza stands looking daggers at Mary as they wait in their corners. Then the bell rings…

R1: Eiza’s long legs quickly bring her within punching range of Mary. A feint to the head with he left, Eiza then startles Mary with a deep hook to the belly. Mary doubled up then has Eiza bring uppercuts crashing up into her face. Mary backing up quickly looking to compose herself, but Eiza flinging accurate, long-armed shots into Mary’s head. Mary hunching up behind her gloves, but Eiza now working closer with an attack on Mary’s stomach and ribcage. Mary continuing to struggle does get finally get her jab going to smack Eiza in the chest and face. Eiza little deterred by this circles and fires away now working from middle distance. Round goes easily to Eiza.

R2: Mary shows some speed of her own getting to mid-ring and firing away at the in-coming Eiza. Eiza takes solid strikes to the face, but ducks and circles to launch her own attack on Mary. Mary getting banged to the head, shows some duck and circle herself. Two circling warily, punches licking out as they go, then Mary moves to block Eiza’s movement and force her way in close with a flurry of body punches. Eiza showing grit, digs in and battles Mary with counters to the breasts and sternum. Mary feeling the pressure to her upper chest, but answers with hooks to Eiza’s belly. Two are not budging as they punch away down to the bell. Both breathing hard as they step away. Judges add it up and give the round to MEW by a close margin.

R3: Eiza and Mary quickly out of their corners heading for mid-ring. Eiza showing a neat fake move to the right, while clouting Mary to the jaw with her left. Mary lurching to one side as Eiza dances around her firing away at mid-range keeping Mary’s head ringing. Then Eiza swings around and goes at Mary to the midsection and has the veteran backing up. Mary trying to counter, but she can’t seem to slow down the sharp punching Eizaz. Mary kept on the defensive to the bell as Eiza salts away the round by a wide margin. Eiza smiling in triumph as the hot, sweaty Mary wipes a stray lock of hair out of her eyes and gives the younger woman a sullen glare of menace.

R4: Mary quiet during the break but listens as Foxfire lightweight trainer Rachel Nichols offers advice. Mary not rushing off her stool, but not sluggish either. Eiza moving fast again clearly trying to resume her fast attack from mid-range tactics. However this time Mary is moving too and she this time she is able to block Eiza’s movement. Then Mary moves in close with a series of clipping shots to Eiza’s chin that has the model’s head bobbing up and down as tremors shoot down those long ways. Eiza stumbles back but quickly throws up a defensive jabbing barrage. Mary banged hard to the face and her charge is brought to halt, Pause to regroup for both fighters, then Eiza plunges in close, seemingly willing to fight Mary om her on in-close ground. Mary grimly happy to oblige and they blaze away in close, sweat dripping, straining bodies touching at times, but neither giving way. Mary working Eiza’s stomach and ribs. Eiza working Mary’s ribs and breasts. Mary finally forcing Eiza back step by defiant step. She is gaining dominance just as the round ends so that while she is awarded the round, Eiza has been able to make it close. Ill-will after the bell as Eiza and Mary start pushing at each other. Not clear who started but referee gives both fighters a fingerwaving lecture before sending them back to their corners.

R5: It is a badly battered Eiza coming out cautiously this round and that is clearly just what Mary Winstead has been wanting to see. She marches on the younger brunette and starts battering down Eiza’s defenses. Eiza retreating trying to hold Mary off with the jab, but Mary slamming her leather into Eiza’s aching torso, driving her up on her toes with lifting looks into the belly and then nasty uppercuts to the underside of the breasts. Eiza starting to wobble as she is backed up towards the ropes as Mary breaks through her high guard to smack her to the jaw. Eiza stumbling back into the ropes and then Mary brings a crashing right uppercut to the chin. Eiza lifted off her feet head and shoulders bent over the top rope. Mary steps back and Eiza just crashes forward onto her face. Mary to neutral corner as Eiza tries to push herself up as the referee is counting. Eiza’s swollen, bleeding face twists with effort, but she can go no further. She looks up in desolation as the referee reaches:
“TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER: MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD DEFEATS EIZA GONZALEZ.

After: No surprise to see Mary bounding across the ring at the first opportunity to drag a devastated Eiza Gonazlez off the stool where she been recuperating.
“Never mock me!” Mary tells Eiza, who remains silent.

Mary reaches behind and grabs the back of Eiza’s bikini bottoms, quickly yanking them into a painful wedgie. Eiza goes up on her toes, but refuses to cry out as she is marched (mostly on tiptoe) around the ring. Mary smiling happily and waving to her fans. She returns to the O & E corner to find Bar Refaeli and Adriana Lima standing there with arms crossed and angry expression on their faces.

“You ladies don’t look too happy with me. Tough. Luck,” Mary says and pushes Eiza into their arms. “You want to do something about it. Let me know—especially you Bar.”

“We’ll see,” Bar snaps.

Mary turns and marches away. Observers left to buzz at what will happen next between Mary Winstead and the forces of Odds ‘n Studio. They can also relish a punched-filled, exciting contest as the young Eiza gave the veteran MEW plenty of trouble. Still Mary able to batter her way to victory and keep herself in contention for another title shot.
