TESS VALMORE

The following does not pertain to the actual description of the bouts which was excellent This article pertains only to the matchups

In my PPV predictions I commented on how much easier it is to predict fights today than it was five or six years ago. This card was a prime example. Caspian has previously made a series of very good and challenging fights. Unfortunately, this card had none. I went 5-0 in predictions and can’t really be happy as there was only one fight that I thought was close to being even and it didn’t involve models

LYNCH/RAWLINS Lynch is an up and coming bantam. Boxing World has ranked at 40. Personally I think she should be ranked higher. Rawlins was in her debut. Fighters almost never win their debut fights. You can bet the farm on that,  especially when they fight someone with a little experience and a winning record

KRSMANOVIC/WOZNIACKI I don’t think Krsmanovic is near the top of the new wave of welters, but she was facing a tennis player who had fought only tennis players. The only tennis player I could come with who had fought non-tennis players was Graf who fought and won two bouts in 1999 and then disappeared never to fight again. Of course, I can count the tennis players I know of on one hand. Rule bet against the tennis player

HEARD/VALANCE This was the one fight that had some suspense to it. I wouldn’t have been surprised if either had won. Neither was a model

ROHRBACH/TEIGEN Rohrbach has a good record and has fought some of the top fighters. Boxing World has her ranked at 17. Teigen has never had a conventional fight and she known for who her husband is, as much as her modeling. Where is she ranked? Despite never having won a fight she is ranked at 110. Does that sound like a fight that is going to have a lot of suspense

FERGUSON/CLAUSON I had Ferguson three in the welters. Boxing World had her at two. Where was Clauson? I finally found her. Boxing World had her ranked at 135, not in the welters, but in the lightweights. This was ludicrous. Would you pay to see fight between 2 and 135 even if they were in bikinis? And bother the way. Girls who look great in bikinis are not unusual.
