TESS VALMORE
I Believe I have mentioned this before, but while this card did not feature any big FCBA names, it was best matched card in a long time. There were no obvious winners making the card one of the more difficult to successfully predict. I did managed to get four of the six correctly which is 66% correct. That’s down considerably from my average of 76% and I was a little lucky in doing so
I really wanted to see Hayley Williams win her bout, but it was not to be. It was not a surprise. Fighters in their debut, almost never win when matched with an opponent who has a winning record. Managers should pay attention. For a newbie, Frege or Kane might be considered
Moretz won her bout over Dunst who had not been active for a couple years. Moretz increased her FCBA record to 5-2. I think she still needs to stay with the second or third tier fighters for awhile
Two fugitives from Front Street were on the card. Graham who was one of the least successful of the Front Street fighters didn’t last the fourth before being counted out. I would say her future is somewhat dim. Some of her success was due to the Front Street matching policy. She won’t have that advantage anymore. She will have to take what she can get.
For Ruah, the second of the two Front Street fugitive, the third time was a charm. She had lost two previous bout to Kelly, so this win was extra sweet. For Kelly, who will be 39, it was her fourth straight loss and the fourth straight time she has failed to finish six. I always liked Joanne, but I think it is time for her to go
It’s no secret that I am not an admirer of anyone named Kardashian. Why I predicted Khloe would win, I have no idea. Smackey must have slipped something in my drink. The 38 year old Brook dominated the fight KOing Kardashian in the seventh. While I was wrong in the outcome, there could be a silver lining. Maybe, I won’t have to see this Kardashian again
I don’t know why Rodriguez, who had been inactive for 13 years, decided to get back in the ring a couple years ago. Her opponent was bigger, younger and more experienced. It didn’t work well for the 39 year old, who failed to last three. At her age, Rodriguez is destined for no more than fighting in early supporting bouts like the opener.
