Megan Fox versus Anna Kendrick (Flyweight Title)
(Words: Vixens / Results: Lookout!)
Megan:
(31, 5’4, 114, 31:23:1 FCBA, VIXENs/Mirage)
Anna:
(32, 5’2, 16:10 FCBA, Diamond Boxing Club)
BEFORE:
Megan rolling her eyes on multiple occasions at Ms Kendrick’s nonchalant antics at the pre-fight press conference, which apparently involved a sing-a-long routine, fits of uncontrollable laughter and the use of a magician’s rabbit for god knows what purpose, in no particular order. It’s clear however that Ms Kendrick is the house favorite here tonight, captivating the audience with her wit and quirky charm, leaving Fox smouldering and sulking in the corner, irritated that the spotlight is on someone else other than her - PLUS the fact that it’s someone LESS attractive than her is just rubbing salt into the wound...
“F*CK are we gonna do this or what??” she finally shrieks in a high-pitched whine when Anna brings out three plastic cups from below the conference table, no doubt intending to reenact that infamous movie scene from her Pitch Perfect auditions.
Anna pauses and smiles awkwardly, turning between her opponent and the anticipatory audience, not sure which one to listen to. Fox makes the decision for her by springing up from her chair and heading down the stage to the ring directly, later fuming to reporters: “She annoys me. That’s the only reason I marked her as a target early on when she was still Flyweight champ. Tonight - I’m gonna cement the fact that I am and always will be better than her and her… CUPS!?”
Megan shedding silk white loose blouse, revealing a black bikini under, dark raven hair tied up with red hair band. Anna going loud with bright red bikini top and short-cut denim shorts, black classic gloves. This fight’s for the Unified Flyweight Title! The crowd is eager as well to get started, so here we go!
ROUND 1:
Offer to touch gloves ignored by Megan - no surprise there I suppose? What IS surprising is when Megan fires quick jab at Anna’s head but Anna dodges and jumps back out of the way, missing by a mile. Such feline reflexes right there, complete with a bloody SMILE of surprise on her face?! That's what made her the former champion folks - combination of her incredible innocence and fine-tuned reflexes. Megan’s got a lot to deal with here tonight! They circle each other, but of course Anna doing the majority of it, flicking jabs in and out. Anna simply jumping out of the way of Megan’s punches quite an insane bit, avoiding Fox’s big swipes at her head when she gets in too close. Kendrick on the other hand scoring well and often- return jabs pick apart Megan’s defences and just make her look amateurish in all aspects by comparison, a little bit like how Holly Holmes completely decimated Ronda Rousey in their MMA title match all those years ago. But calm down folks - it’s still only the opening round. Megan managing to trap the spritely girl in one corner late and nails her in the body with a stiff one-two jab-jab, but Kendrick merely takes it and flits away, landing back on her feet just a few feet back as though none of that hurt her at all. This is going to be an interesting fight for sure with the contrast of style...
ROUND 2:
Here comes Kendricks with the dancing with the stars routine again, spinning around Megan like a ballerina and then prodding her with punches. Like the show itself, this just seems to piss Megan off even more the longer it goes on, irritation growing at being unable to keep up. How else to explain it? Picture a cyclone just throwing debris at you whilst you helplessly watch? Or Casper the friendly ghost turning evil and coming at you with a knife, only to vanish into thin air when you try to punch him in the face and materialize behind you to stick a blade in your back. Fox getting tired of these metaphors running through her head, starts backing away, focusing on shoring up her guard instead so Anna’s attacks don't hurt as much… Little does Anna realize that what a fox lacks in speed as compared to a rabbit, it certainly makes up for it in cunning. Last minute and Megan times her advance to the letter: a left feint throws Anna completely off target she weaves left when she should have went right, face meeting Megan’s waiting haymaker with a nasty BLAM!! Anna’s head almost taken off hinges as her entire body shivers and groans, then goes sailing backwards - she would have been knocked down right there if it she hadn’t been so close to the ropes! Power of that blow immediately immobilizes her though as Kendrick’s body wilts and the Fox finally has its meal!! Left right left right blows to the sternum as Megan mercilessly makes up for lost time, whipping Anna’s face back and forth and then battering mitts off her waistline… Referee has to physically restrain the champ when the bell rings signalling the end of the round! Fox stays in the running after all for this contest! Kendricks meanwhile is just shell shocked on the ropes - there's no better way to describe her look of ‘What just happened?’ etched on her face.
ROUND 3:
Perhaps it’s Anna’s fault too for underestimating the champ. If she keeps this up, she just might join that long list of fallen champions left in Megan’s wake as she seeks to clean house. Anna turns serious after that nasty bashing in the previous round, counters Megan’s harassment by jumping in and out, that innocent smirk all but gone - now measured punching at Megan’s face seems to do an as effective job of keeping her at bay, with Fox still looking clunky again as she tries to avoid faster hands. However Kendrick also putting herself in greater danger here, allowing Megan to plant return jabs on her body and a nasty one late in the round that grazes the chin - enough to scare off the Pitch Perfect starlet into beating another hasty retreat out of range. Smart move there - she was winning in points anyways and now she forces the clock to run out.
ROUND 4:
Now it’s Megan’s turn to try and dominate (or least try to…). The champion flies out of gate in similar routine, hoping that Kendrick is tired out sufficiently for her bigger punches to land. She is, however, mistaken. Anna goads her in by letting the jabs hit on her guard - even absorbs a BIG hook that slams into side of her head, but the force absorbed by a raised arm just in time. Fox has flash victory but smirk is WIPED off when Anna slams a glove into her face with a counter-right. Uggh! The challenger continues her attack, punches snapping into the champion’s face and then into her side. Megan desperately trying to retain some balance here, get her guard up, and Anna doing her a favor by switching to body punches, spattering of leather along the waistline. Megan gasping from the abuse but her body thrown forward and bent over in half. Kendrick now having to deal with her in close quarters, and the girls wrestle each other, tugging on biceps and shoving off shoulders, at one point Fox stuffing glove into Anna’s face to obscure her vision and throw off her punches. The time runs down slowly and finally the mutual embrace is broken up by the referee. Kendrick taking the round wide that's for sure, but Megan arguably also a winner for having saved herself back there from potential knockout.
ROUND 5:
NOT a good round for the champ back there... Ouch. Watching her getting manhandled like that must have been painful for Head Trainer Steve Boyd to watch, who’s trying to hose her down and massage the shoulders in between rounds. Megan taking a swig of water and growls through her mouthpiece, toned body gleaming with sweat as she rises back up into the fray to prove that she belongs on the throne.
Anna regaining some of that confident innocence now, especially after taking the lead by such a comfortable margin. Girls hang back still in the opening seconds after the bell - nobody wants to make a crucial mistake at this point in time. Kendrick in no rush but she’s first to spring forward and attack, probing jabs generally testing to see how much Megan is out of it. And boy does Fox look groggily as hell, swatting at her incoming hands and barely bobbing or weaving out of the way giving Kendrick the green light to fire all cylinders! Another one-two sting Megan on the nose and Anna follows close behind as Fox backtracks. WHAM! What the-- Fox with a sneaky comeback right straight to the mouth! She was playing possum all that while! Punch travelled right in between Anna’s guard and realizes her error only when her head is almost taken off AGAIN for second time. Lips let out dull moan as her head snaps back and she wobbles on the spot. Fox now springing in for the kill teeth looking for throat-tearing killer blow - Anna can't get away this time as the extent of her body and face littered with rapid-fire punches from Fox, who wails away with the remainder of her strength hoping that it’s enough for the win. Kendrick gurgling as her lithe body jerks left and right from the stiff blows but uses the force of them to try and get even further away from her assailant, denying Megan the much coveted knockdown. Last thirty seconds and Anna creating sufficient space to recuperate at the other end of the ring. But it’s also due to Fox just wasting all her energy in that bull rush, forcing her to give up the chase.
ROUND 6:
Anna struggling through the opening minute here as Megan just picks her apart with long jabs. Her speed now nullified as the strength already drained from her legs, from one too many hard knocks. Kendrick’s face already reddened, but Megan’s punches now landing on her cheek one after another make it ten times worse as she’s unable to get out of the way as easily. Fox couldn’t care less if all this meant to be a ploy.. A potential fox-trap meant to snare a fox at her own game - she’s merely content at whacking away at the smaller girl’s face, sharp blows to the nose and clean scraping on the lips. Kendrick yelps when Fox goes south, bashing gloves into her sides and tummy, Megan buffeting her body about. This is hard to watch - Kendrick just doing bare minimum to stay alive here, when a third hook lands on her guard and Anna’s arms just can’t take more abuse, her guard BLOWN out of the way, literally. Her mouth works in shock and exhaustion but that can’t stop Fox from sending an uppercut straight up into her chin, snapping head back and sending her clean off her feet, crashing back down to the canvas in a KNOCKDOWN FOR FOX!
Crowd roars with approval but Anna’s fan-base obviously feeling otherwise, outrage meeting the cheers as they start bellowing for her to get her ass back up and fight! Anna showing her resilience by already crawling towards the ropes on all fours, mouth blubbering and eyes fighting back tears, but she manages to pull herself slowly back to her feet by the count of 8! Any lesser woman would have been knocked out cold from that punch!
Can she survive another two minutes though? Megan slapping her gloves together, already in battle-ready stance when the referee waves to resume. HERE. FOX. COMES. Anna barely covering up as another hard right hits the stomach, folding her over, then Megan WHAPS away lefts and rights, those same powerful hooks trying to repeat the same feat and break down Anna’s defences completely. Kendrick already beaten down once this round - this time is NO different, and soon her cries of desperation fill the air as her arms simply wilt from the force of Megan’s punches. Before Fox can deliver the wind-up knockout blow, however, Kendrick has the sense to surge forward in a clinch, denying Fox the win. Anna’s heavy breaths into her foe’s chest meet Megan’s deep growling down into her wet hair, frustration building for both competitors. The champion damned if she’s gonna let this girl get away from her at this point… It’s a smart move by Anna, but Megan’s heavier frame enables her to slowly dictate movement, finally pinning her firmly against the ropes, elbow shoving up in her chest to create space, and then hup hup HUP HUP stiff right hands driven into Anna’s belly. Each hard shot brings a look of rising pain on Anna’s face, her mouth opening and closing as her will starts to leave her body, sagging in Megan’s arms. Fox senses the end now, herself almost at breaking point, swings up: final blow CRASHES into base of Anna’s jaw! Her body wilts into the ropes and CRUMPLES BACK DOWN TO CANVAS, POOLED AT THE FEET OF FOX. IT’S OVER!!
Official Decision: Megan Fox defeats Anna Kendrick via KO6!
“AAAAAANNND STILL your Unified Flyweight Champion of the World…… MEEEEEGAAAAAAN ‘BLACK ROSE’ FOX!!” ring official doing his best Bruce Buffer impression as he raises Megan’s hand and then hands her back the gold.
Dominant display from Megan Fox tonight as she puts away the number two gal in the game. If there’s any doubt as to her legitimacy in the ring, hopefully this will finally convince her naysayers. Let’s not kid ourselves though - the champ did NOT look her best in the ring tonight, especially early on, with arguably one of the toughest fights of her career to date. Anna Kendrick had always been considered a dangerous opponent to test her, and test her she did, literally running circles around the champ tonight and pushing her into dangerous waters more than once.
Megan not forgetting the abuse she suffered, that’s for sure, deliberately waiting for the medical team to revive Kendrick with smelling salts, then immediately making a beeline for her, ordering the medics to “Get the f*ck outta my way” with a low, animalistic growl, threatening them to leave her the spoils of her battle won. Megan reaches down, grabbing a fistful of dark-hair and TUGS sharply back, drawing a loud groan from Anna, who’s forced to look up into her tormentress’ face.
“I don’t EVER want to hear that f*cking ridiculous song from you again. YOU HEAR ME?? If I ever hear you so much as HUM that damn tune, I will f*cking OWN YOUR ASS AGAIN, YOU UNDERSTAND?!!” Fox bellowing in Anna’s face but Kendrick is still too far out of it to respond, the ‘threat’ probably not even registering in her mind until much later.
A strange post-match demand from the champion right there, but she releases Anna almost immediately after, shoving her dazed head back into turnbuckle before turning to head back out of the arena. Well, she certainly made her feelings known about Anna’s... singing ability? tonight.
Later on, rumour has it that Anna Kendrick is said to have broken out into uncontrollable laughter when she re-watches the tape of that post-fight confrontation: good to know the Flyweight contender hasn’t lost her sense of humour.
As for Fox? Who knows who’s next on her hit-list? Rumours has it she’s gunning for Emma Watson, the latest top Flyweight to have bested her prior to winning the title. Other tabloids suggesting she’s considering a run at the newly crowned Bantamweight gal, whoever manages to make off with the jewels tonight.
