TESS VALMORE

The welterweight title changed in a great fight. Ferguson took the title from Rhoda via a ninth round KO. The welter title is slippery these days and I think it will probably continue to be so.. I don’t expect a long title run to occur. The welters are little thin, but there are a half dozen really good welters who can hold the title and not many after that. I think we will see the same names holding the title over and over

Megan Fox continues to amaze me. She had a losing record as the year began. Now she has won twelve straight and defended the flyweight title four times and has beaten some good fighters along the way. It has been a great run. Her win over Kendrick was her fourth win over a former champion in the last six bouts

Chloe Bennet is another who I didn’t expect to see as a champion. Not that I didn’t believe she could win the bantam title, but I didn’t think she would get an offer for a title shot. She made the most of it and in this PPV took care of Sophia Bush in less than five in her first defense

It was a big night for Amanda Righetti who was in her 100th fight and what a fight it was. It was what you would expect from Righetti and Cole with Amanda being the last one standing. The win paved the way for Righetti entrance into the Hall Of Fame which Tractorpull is expected to announce this week

In other welter bouts, Krsmanovic upset Kloss with a six round KO and Utgaard remained undefeated by beating the BBU welter champ, Leone

There were two bouts that will have influence on upcoming lightweight title bouts. Brooklyn Decker won a big fight with the dangerous Adrianne Palicki and should move into a prime slot for consideration for title match. She happens to be 1-1 against the present champ. Ambrosio, not to be outdone, kept her name high in the opponent choices by flattening Cuoco. Cuoco has now lost four in a row. Was managements decision to put her in a JMDD tournament a big mistake? She hasn’t won a fight since.

In another lightweight bout, Ren once again proved that wrestlers generally do not do all that well in the FCBA. She went a little too far in her post fight celebration with a knee drop to Paige’s midsection. Cool it Alexis

In the bantams Scodelario won her eighth fight in her last nine. Her only loss was to VanCamp in a title fight. Dennings and Kosarin should move up in the ranking after their upset wins.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed seeing Lovato lay out Lohan. I was worried for the first four rounds, but Demi pounded Lohan out in the fifth. It was Lohan’s fourth straight loss

Elizabeth Henstridge’s win over Kunis should make her a front runner for a title shot. Prior to the match she was ranked at ten and Kunis at nine

Hanratty should move up in the rankings with her win over Kristen Bell.

Ratajkowski stopped posing for the Daily Mail long enough to win over Jamie Chung

Lowndes got back on track breaking a three fight losing streak by beating Kruek. The same goes for Cheryl Cole,  who beat Meester getting back in the win column after losing a title fight last month. Lilly Collins should move up in the rankings after beating Gomez and Willa Holland and MIchalka stayed on track with wins

I has a few harsh words from Avril Lavigne recently, but we have been friends for a long time and I was very happy to see her win her first bout ever. Before the bout, I said whoever lost this bout should quit. Do I have your attention Ariana? I don’t need to tell you that you lost a fight to someone who hasn’t fought in seven years and had never won a fight. You lasted less than two, if you can remember anything about that night. Are you getting the message?

I heard from Katheryn Winnick after her win over Vandervoort. She pointed out that I was in error when I said she was 40. OK, she is 39 years, 10 months an d some 20 days old. Excuse me. I hate to tell you this honey, but at your age, you are on the road to nowhere. Don’t feel to proud of hurting my average. Before tonight it had been done 300 times
