BEFORE:

"I can't understand it," says Sharni with a shake of the head. "I come over here and take Olsen, who was going to be a big deal at the time, ten rounds, and then the phone doesn't ring. Ever. We try and try to get fights for three years and we can't. It's ducking, is what it is, but, now, I'm back here, and this time I'm going to take this girl's head off and see if THAT doesn't get me some work."

"Now, let me get this straight," says Ariel with a smirk. "This girl plans to come in here and take out all her frustrations on poor little me? Well. Let's just see how that works out for her."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Looking for the Magic' by the Dwight Twilley Band..."

McCarthy: "What by who now?"

O'Dell (sighing): "It's a song from the movie 'You're Next', and the star of that horror film is heading down to ringside as we speak, the lovely Sharni Vinson..."

Cassie: "And, as Vinson points out, her only FCBA work so far came in a UD10 loss to Elizabeth Olsen back in January of 2014. She's a natural fly and a tall one at over 5'6"."

O'Dell: "Vinson into the ring and helped off with the robe. She's wearing a boysenberry number that shows off exactly how hard she's been working for this one. And, that's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' pounding through the arena, the cover version of same recorded by Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter, who's even now headed to the ring..."

Tess: "Winter started her career 1-4, but she's 4-0 at Front Street so far and management here is very pleased with how she's developing."

O'Dell: "Winter into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal that form-fitting white number we've seen before and all those dangerous curves, and the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Ariel. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Typical Dancing Hooker opponent. NO FCBA wins! Winter."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Vinson right to work with the jab. No surprise she wants to use that length. Winter giving up five inches here, so she'll have to get inside to have any chance to get to work. She's after Vinson aggressively, trying to work past the jab. Sharni landing some hard right hands..."

Cassie: "Want to be careful here. Don't force it."

O'Dell: "GOOD right from Vinson wobbled Winter and DOWN GOES ARIEL! A series of hard right hands send Winter to her knees a minute and a half in. Sharni fairly DANCING to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Winter to her feet at seven. Referee gives her the mandatory and waives on Vinson..."

McCarthy: "Aussie might as well go for it now."

O'Dell: "And, that's what she's doing. She's letting the younger woman have it with both hands. Ariel being backed up, taking a TON of heavy fire. Aussie looking for the finisher as she backs Winter to the ropes down the stretch. Ariel covering, hanging on. Ten seconds to go. Another good right from Vinson and there's the bell. HUGE start for Sharni."

Tess: "Going to be a long minute in the Front Street corner for Winter."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with an aggressive Vinson. She's coming forward now, backing up a still-shaky Winter with some hard shots. Sharni using that accurate left jab to set Ariel up for the right. Winter keeping the hands up, countering in spots, but mostly being suppressed right now."

Cassie: "That's OK. Just want to get things settled down now. Get your feet back under you."

O'Dell: "Vinson making that pretty hard to do. Aussie sitting down on her punches, landing some solid stuff. Winter managing to take the licking and continue ticking. Good right by Vinson. Ariel covers up. Sharni responds with a flurry. Winter backed to the ropes again. She's covering up, countering here and there."

McCarthy: "Well, Scabbo's right about one thing. She wants to run a little clock now. But, she's going to be down three points when this one is over."

O'Dell: "No question, because Vinson's got the round won as we head down the stretch. Thirty seconds to go. Winter's legs looking to be back, but Sharni keeping her trapped on the ropes, keeping up that long, accurate fire with both hands. Ten seconds. Good right by Vinson and there's the bell. Sharni wide."

Tess: "And, it's 20-17 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Vinson again looking to force pace, but Winter firing back now! Ariel letting the hands go and we've got a firefight in the middle of the ring! Winter a good right, Vinson a good right, crowd starting to buzz now. BIG exchange there with both fighters landing BOOMING punches and now Vinson going to get some space."

Cassie: "Veteran move right there. Sharni hasn't had a lot of FCBA fights, but she's been around at lower levels and knows this kid of trading isn't what she needs to do in this situation."

O'Dell: "Instead, she wants to get back to the jab, work at range. Winter wants to close. Working forward carefully now, head tucked, bobbing and weaving. Now getting inside to work some body. Vinson ties up, but Winter levers her, opens the body up, thumps away until the Aussie can trap her arms and force a break."

Tess: "Vinson very slender, no question of that, so, I wouldn't be surprised if Winter's game plan, which usually involves body work, calls for an extra dose."

O'Dell: "Looks that way, as she works forward again and begins banging. Again, Vinson wants to tie. Ariel so sturdy, shoving her off, going right back to work. Fifteen seconds to go. Winter wearing out that tummy right now. Sharni ties her up. Referee breaks and there's the bell. Winter on the board."

McCarthy: "But, Vinson still up 29-27."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Sharni moving and jabbing now. She's using a bit of a drop step to start this one, wants to give herself a little extra time to find Winter with the jab and keep her off. Did not at all like the way that last round went, with Ariel able to close and bang. Winter taking her time. Very patient."

McCarthy: "Surprising that one of Weirdo's cement-headed hookers can learn, but, maybe that first round taught her a lesson."

O'Dell: "Vinson scoring well at range. Winter closing, banging body. Sharni tying up, slipping away, getting her distance again. Vinson not dancing or circling, but she is using the feet and using them well to get the range and geometry she wants. Winter, as always, very active. Working hard with her own feet."

Tess: "Ariel a lot more athletic than some folks think. She's very flexible and moves very, very well."

O'Dell: "Showing those feet now as she slips past Vinson's defenses to close and work some more body. She's concentrating down there in a big way in the final seconds of the fourth. Vinson ties up, hangs on to the bell. Closest round of the night so far. Going to go to the Aussie, though."

Cassie: "And, Vinson's back up by three, 39-36."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins the way the fourth ended, with Vinson looking to work for distance and Winter making her way past the defenses to close and work body and SHE HURT VINSON WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Caught Sharni crouching to protect that body and ROCKED her with that right hand!"

Cassie: "Vinson did very well to take that punch, because it was an absolute SHOT."

O'Dell: "Sharni covering up as Winter goes to TOWN now! Ariel's already shown that she's a closer, and she's looking to close. She's letting the hands go, hammering away, not forgetting about the body despite the fact that her rival's legs are more than a little unsteady. This is good stuff from the youngster..."

McCarthy: "And, not bad from Vinson, either. She's keeping the guard up, playing for time like a veteran."

O'Dell: "That, she is, but it's Ariel who's getting the work done. She hasn't found the finisher, however, she's done everything but. She's got Vinson pinned to the ropes and she is just WORKING HER OVER. GOOD right snapped back the head. Sharni tying up. Winter stacking her and HAMMERING that body to the bell. Shutout, Ariel."

Tess: "But, it's the Aussie who's still up 48-46 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Winter out aggressively to start the sixth. She's after Vinson in a big way, working forward quickly, banging the body, hooking those ribs, then working upstairs, backing up the Aussie, forcing her to cover up. Sharni trying to stabilize her front here, but can't seem to get it done..."

McCarthy: "Winter a lot sounder than she was in the first round. Not giving Vinson openings for counters."

O'Dell: "She is not. Sharni not finding much with the few counters she's managing to get off, and they are very few. Ariel suppressing her with hard, accurate fire both upstairs and down. She's working over the midsection, flaying the flanks. She's bunching Vinson up with that body work and then DROPPING HER WITH AN UPPERCUT!"

Tess: "NASTY punch!"

O'Dell: "Vinson blown right to her back after getting her gloves split with that uppie. Winter to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Six. Sharni rolling to her belly at seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! And it's over! The Aussie can't come close to beating the count, and it's OVER! And your winner by KO6 is Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

Cassie: "This girl might turn out to be the best fly Uncle Wiz has ever had..."

McCarthy: "Wouldn't take much."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Ariel Winter, and, Ariel, not a great start."

Ariel (shaking her head): "I got sloppy and I paid for it. And, I heard about it in the corner. Neve told me I'd dug the hole and now I had to work my way out of it, and I did."

Tess: "You did a ton of body work tonight. That had to be the plan."

Ariel (nodding): "That's USUALLY the plan with Brit and Neve and I like that plan. I like to work inside, get physical. When I can get that done, well. It's going to be a long night for the other girl."
