Ricki-Lee Coulter vs Nicola Mimnagh
(Wildetime Boxing vs BBU Independent)
(2-2, 2 KO vs 1-0, 1 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: This fight was supposed to happen on last month's 'Clash of the Welters' PPV but was delayed due to Ricki-Lee Coulter being struck down with a food poisoning. The towering 5'11" Australian singer still tries to get rid of the "glass jaw" label which has been attached to her ever since back-to-back KO1 defeats at the hands of Nicola McLean and Delta Goodrem but is considered a betting underdog against the new Scottish sensation tonight.
Former Miss Scotland Nicola Mimnagh has no such reliability issues to worry about even though it's been over a year since she made her BBU debut.
She knocked out Su-Elise Nash back home in Paisley but BBU TV's Denise van Outen isn't convinced the Highlander brunette rolls over her Aussie opponent so easily like the pre-fight odds suggest.
It must be said both women match each other in height and offer a curious upside regarding the contenders market which always makes for a good storyline.
Ricki-Lee Coulter wears a light blue bikini set with black trim and white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Nicola Mimnagh wears a black & white vertically striped bikini top, black knickers and black gloves. Long black hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Coulter's heard all about the 'glass jaw' jokes from the Welsh audience and doesn't need extra invitation to let the sparks fly early in the going.
She tackles the Scottish pageant with a steady jabbing rush straight up the middle and shows superior agility to work around the otherwise statesque opponent.
Nicola's happy to fend off the Aussie heat with single punches from behind the guard and Coulter just can't reel her backwards and has to accept a lenghty clinching stalemate in the second minute.
Nicola truly doesn't lose her composure despite getting outnumbered in punches thrown and staggers the Aussie tourist with a hooking route come the final stretch where she visibly improves her work rate and forces Ricki behind a tight earmuff cover.

Round 2:
More of the same here in the second as Coulter dominates the opening minute but is unable to slice through the Scottish guard which then leads into a lenghty counter-punching display from Mimnagh.
Both women duck and weave around on their feet but this is sub-standard footwork performance and Denise van Outen wishes these two would engage in a simple belly boxing duel to settle this contest.
There's no outright welterweight power on display here for remainder of the round and some fans inside the Cardiff Arena begin to wonder why Nicola doesn't push for the Aussie jaw test? Is she truly that affected fighting away from the Scottish backyard?

Round 3:
Coulter gets the jump on the Scottish pageant early in the third courtesy of an angry pep talk from Wildetime trainer Tania Zaetta during the interval. The lanky singer drills Nicola's mouth with a vicious left cross and then smacks her on the temple with a swift follow-up.
Mimnagh loses her balance and wobbles on her heels which prevents her from delivering an instant reply and Ricki-Lee powers ahead with more head hunting success.
She pummels the sluggish looking Scot back to the ropes and scowls in her efforts when she scythes across the fellow brunette's mouth during a proper follow up run.
Coulter traps her rival on the ropes and keeps pounding away in numbers, Mimnagh blocks most of these punches off but still eats few crisp ones straight through the middle which bellow her out behind another high earmuff come the bell.
Ricki-Lee shakes her glove in delight before giving the pageant a nasty bytch stare and Denise van Outen reckons the tourist might finally show some skill that allowed her to brutalize the dangerous Tamsin Egerton last time out.

Round 4:
Mimnagh might not enjoy the management backing here but she recognizes the writing on the wall all by herself and tries to beat the Aussie tourist for the initial punch, Coulter ducks underneath the flying hook but gets stuffed by a vicious follow up on the navel and bends to the side as the Scottish pageant rips a left hook on the mouth and adds a quick strike on the temple from the other side.
Ricki-Lee sinks on her heels and can't avoid another left cross that slams her on the nose AND DROPS TO HER BUM a split second later! Uh-oh! Even the Cardiff audience didn't see that coming! Nicola struts back to her corner and the Aussie singer is furious with the knockdown, she's up at five but really could have spared herself such a quick recovery.
She indicates to the ref she's good to go and the bout resumes with Mimnagh blasting her across nasal ridge with a lightning fast approach... Ricki-Lee wobbles to her heels and eats another one... and she spills blood from her nostrils as the Scottish brunette lasers in with a facial destruction plan.. she roughs the tourist up and shoves her into the ropes with the sheer offensive effort alone... Coulter aches from behind the guard but her gloves are smeared with her own blood now as Nicola rips through her defense and hauls in all the juice... she renders the singer into a semi-punchbag mode and just wraps her into a relentless pounding galore... there's more blood coming from the wrecked nose and Ricki-Lee bursts into tearful spasms WHICH FORCES THE REF TO STEP IN AND HALT THE BEATING!!! That was downright nasty from the Highlander babe! TKO4 Nicola Mimnagh!!!

AFTER: These welterweight bouts can be resolved in a blink of an eye and the entire Wildetime crew will probably only understand how they've lost this one on the plane back to Melbourne.
Ricki-Lee Coulter dominated the opening three rounds and was poised to blow the Scottish rival away in the fourth before she run into a nasty head hunting response that roughed her up into a bloody mess in less than three minutes!
That's not exactly shocking given the power supply of the 130+ lbs category but Nicola truly looked out of depth on Welsh soil until she flipped a switch and went on a destructive rampage without any warning whatsoever!
That rapid fire performance sends out a message all by itself however Denise van Outen suggests there are more demanding opponents than Coulter for the Scottish pageant to deal with going forward.

Final result: Nicola Mimnagh def. Ricki-Lee Coulter TKO4.
