(Girls Friday vs Free Agent)

Intro:
Continuing this "Shannara Chronicles party" card, we see the first fighter from the first series of the show, Ivana Baquero steps into the ring to fight the Girl with the Dragon Tattoos main star Rooney Mara.
Ivana is best known now as the "rover" Eretria, a rogue background but someone who is loyal to her friends, though she finds a dark secret about herself.
The fighter behind the character is 23 years old, she is 23 years old, stands 5'3 and holds a record of 6 wins, 5 by knockout and 2 defeats to her name.
Her opponent Rooney is a New Yorker, Bedford to be precise, she is 32 years old, also stands 5'3 and this is her debut fight.

The fighters strutted down the red carpet outside the Trust arena the fight is going to take place, Ivana has a pink dress that hugs her figure, while Rooney has a similar dress; hers being black though.
As the girls come face to face for photos together, Rooney has her intense look that many a costar has said they've endured, Ivana seems to take it as a challenge as she squares right up to Rooney.
Cameras flash all around as this moment just continues to grow in intensity as the girls just stare right through each other, no words at all being exchanged, simply their body language says it all, back off!
Finally an organiser has to go to start separating these two, Rooney though pulls her arm away and so does Ivana as people wonder if there is going to be trouble.
Rooney's sister Kate rushes out though to pull her sibling away, the two can be seen arguing, rumours swirling around the gossip mills are that Kate helped train the intensive Rooney and sparred with her.
But as anyone who knows Rooney attests to, she becomes extremely focused on what she does, clearly to the point that she'd even treat her sister like a bitter enemy in sparring to get ready for this fight.

Fighting time, out comes Ivana with Lauren Berlingeri and Eva Carneiro; the fast becoming famous double act of boxing corner teams look to be working to keep the hot blooded temper of Ivana down.
Her face looks almost as red as her sports bra and tight shorts she is wearing to go with her gloves, she nods to fans but clearly she just wants Rooney right now.
Stepping into the ring; she heads to her corner and paces back and forth, wanting to get this started as Lauren can be heard telling her "calm down!"
Now out comes Rooney wearing a black hoodie, the hood up over her face as heads to the ring with Kate acting as her coach.
Stepping towards the ring; it's ominous as she doesn't look up once on her way, only looking up as she climbs the steps and gets into the ring and her corner.
Getting help to remove the hoodie, she is wearing a black sports bra, shorts and gloves, her brunette hair is in a braid as she stares right into the eyes of Ivana.
Both women march to the ring centre and square right up to each other, nose to nose as Ivana breaks the ice by saying "I don't care about tricks, you want to go? I'm right here"
But Rooney doesn't reply, just bumping her gloves hard with Ivana's when prompted, leading to more icy glares between the two.
Getting back to their corners, both get their gumshields in and are ready for the bell to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Both meet near the ring centre, their probing punches look to have a bit extra sting on them as they test each other out to see what they are actually up against.
Ivana tries to push the action first; slamming a right cross to the body before trying for a left up top that Rooney moves her head out of the way of.
Answering back; Rooney lands two straight punches to the top of Ivana's head and she misses with a left cross of her own.
The early action seems pretty even, being very similar builds and stances; it's leading to a stalemate as they step in to land, each landing clean shots to the others face and body.
Ivana looks the more passionate though, her face full of hate; while Rooney just stares right through her, again they step inside to trade, with Mara looking to blast hooks on the chin of her opponent, who wisely retreats out the way of them.
But that seems to give Rooney the opening to press Ivana back, her punches work the body of the little Spanish warrior, who grunts as she it hit and shows her Latin temper by swinging two wild hooks that do the job of separating, but miss by a mile.
Rooney seems to be renting space in the head of Ivana, the younger fighter is starting to look the rookie of the two late in the round with her wide swinging punches being countered by precise movement and counter punches to her face.
Soon the bell rings with Ivana stomping back to her corner; while Rooney even though winning her first ever round, continues to have that steely look as she heads to her corner.
Lauren reminds Ivana "I know you're a hot head, but you are a great boxer as well, start using your skills to win this babe"
Round 2:
Rooney looks to move more then simply get into a head to head with Ivana it seems, while the Spanish warrior is taking most of the punches on her gloves.
The older fighter though manages to slip a right cross around to the side of her opponent's head, lashing in two body shots to press Ivana back.
But Ivana is quick to fire back; landing a straight to the nose of Rooney, before stepping in to work the body, leading to both girls nearly bumping heads as they are focused on crushing each others bodies.
That's till Rooney nudges Ivana back with her left, landing a hard right up top and a left cross to push Ivana towards the ropes.
Only the footwork of Ivana saves her being stuck on the ropes, with Mara chasing her down though and keeping her pinned behind her guard with multiple punches thrown at a time.
It takes Ivana slipping under a straight and landing an overhand right to the head of her opponent for her to gain some control back in this fight.
The fighters again end up trading as seconds tick away in the round, neither wanting to give an inch as snarls can be heard from them.
The bell rings with the girls shoving each other back, eyes lock together in an intense staredown that forces the referee to get in between them, even he seems worried this could go nuclear with the gloves coming off.
Instead the fighters do back off and head to their corners, each is getting marked up now as their coaches work on cleaning them and patching them up to continue.
Round 3:
The fighters again meet at the ring centre, both trading on the inside as they look to shove each other backwards.
Ivana looks to be more comfortable though as she now nudges Rooney back with her left forearm, before working the body with four punches slamming away at her sides.
Her opponent answers back with two two cross punches to the top of Ivana's head to separate them, before she moves back and works more on the outside.
But Ivana bides her time, taking the punches on her gloves till she parries a right and steps in to land a right hook that cracks Mara on her cheek.
Ivana starting to turn up the pressure as she lands more punches through to the face of Rooney, who tries to fire back but the intensity of Baquero's barrage is hammering her back onto her heels.
Rooney is forced onto the ropes, with both girls trading to a loud roar from the crowd, Ivana looks to be starting to enjoy the fight.
A straight hits the American on her nose, leaving her open to a follow up right and left hook across her face that looks to stun her.
The bell rings before Ivana can really keep battering her through the ropes, Rooney showing a crack in her emotional shield, looking frustrated as she bangs her gloves together on her way to her corner.
Kate tells her sibling "Rooney you know you can win this fight, go back to basics and out box this bytch" as Rooney just stares at her.
While Ivana looks ready to burst out her corner; Lauren having to keep her calm as Eva gets to work washing her down.
Round 4:
Rooney looks to have composed herself, boxing more on the outside as she digs her punches into the abs of Ivana as she moves around her.
Ivana looking annoyed as she tries to pin Mara onto the ropes, slinging hooks towards her face as she looks less focused again.
This allows Rooney to slam two cross punches across the face of Ivana and starts shoving the youngster towards a corner.
But Ivana leans out the way of a right hook and comes back with a double jab that lands to the nose of Rooney to knock her head back.
The girls trading again in tight as Ivana keeps in close, stifling the work of Rooney, who is trying to move into space and get back to working on the outside.
Ivana ducks under a right cross, LANDING AN OVERHAND RIGHT THAT ROCKS ROONEY, LEADING TO A LEFT HOOK THAT PUTS MARA DOWN ON HER BACK!
The referee begins counting as Ivana jogs over to a neutral corner, 1..2...3...4... Rooney is stirring as she pulls herself over to a set of ropes 5...6...7...8 getting to her feet with the ropes help and putting her gloves up.
Allowed to continue, Rooney tries to keep Ivana at bay, but a right to her temper knocks her onto the ropes, covering up as Ivana beats her back.
An uppercut rocks Rooney and Ivana pounds her on the ropes with a flurry, TILL THE REFEREE STEPS IN TO PULL IVANA AWAY AND WAVES THE FIGHT OFF! ROONEY DEEMED UNABLE TO CONTINUE!

Winner Ivana Baquero TKO Round 4

After:
Not a routine victory but one Ivana will happily take as she pounds her chest and roars to the crowd "f*** yeah!" Jogging back to her corner to hug Lauren and Eva.
While Rooney looks upset at being stopped by Ivana, leaning on the ropes still shook up as her sister Kate rushes in to check her over.
Rooney scowling even as Kate tries to comfort her, her eyes staring past Kate to Ivana, who stares back with her arms up in the air.
Kate gets her sister to leave the ring, knowing that Rooney might try to keep this fight going, telling Rooney "you did yourself proud sis, next time you'll show everyone what I know"
With Rooney just shaking her head at her sister; wishing she could look at the silver linings like she can, instead she will be working hard to improve for next year to try and get her first win.
In the ring, Ivana is being interviewed by Georgie Thompson, Baquero starts by saying "that was one of my intense fights, Rooney really is tough and has a look I have never seen before, that cold stare freezes you"
She adds "I felt that but as you've seen; I have a hot temper which has got me into trouble, tonight though it was I think the thing that gave me the edge"
Asked about her costars and her influence in getting them into the fight game, Ivana grins and replies "well me and Poppy both got a great chance to step inside the ring and as Malese and Vanessa became so close to us, we both thought we'd help them out get into this sport"
Continuing "those two are tough I can tell you, it's funny that the first time Vanessa gave me a bloody nose, she stopped and hugged me, now look at her; she is aggressive and maybe I should be saying sorry that the nice girl is now aggressive" winking at that point.
"I expect big things from them and while currently it isn't with me and Poppy in the stable, we'll help them as much as we can" smiling as Georgie nods at her.
The last question is on her future, with Ivana answering "well me and Jenna Louise Coleman probably will bump each other again some time, my main vision is on the flyweight title, Cheryl is good; I can't pretend she isn't, I'm sure with a few more fights that I can knock her out though when we finally do meet"
Ivana bows to the crowd before she heads out the ring, hoping to give her best friend Poppy words of support as the main event is up next.
