BEFORE: Katya Jones has become the BBU girl of the moment lately even though both Ola Jordan and Mollie King pounded her out in cruel fashion. However the Russian pro dancer has scored the all important victory in the latest edition of 'Strictly Come Dancing' which concluded mere days ago and hopes to break her losing streak in the boxing ring tonight as well.

That challenge might be a little easier because Welsh model Danielle Lineker hasn't graced the canvas since February 2016 when she admittedly knocked out Collien Fernandes in impressive fashion. BBU TV's Georgie Thompson believes the brunette's extended absence had something to do with the collapse of her marriage to Gary Lineker but Katya feels no sympathy for the Welsh model at all: "Of course he dumped the old tramp! She's kinda over the hill these days, she doesn't look half-bad actually but it's time for the new generation talent like ME to put her where she belongs. And that would be the trash bin!"

Danielle is no stranger to a proper trash-talking display but prefers to keep her mouth shut following such a long absence. However if looks could kill, Katya would stand no chance of making it through tonight's bout in one piece for more than a couple of rounds!

Katya Jones wears a bright, floral-themed yellow, blue & pink bikini set and silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a braid. Danielle Lineker wears a violet bikini set with black trim and black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Danielle settles into a steady jabbing route during the opening exchange but Katya channels that Eastern determination and simply outworks the older brunette in close range. Even though the Welsh model has plenty of experience, her lenghty lay-off period brings the unknown factor to the table and Katya has shown flashes of real skill in both her losses to date. Her aggressive style is something the BBU fanbase thrives on but perhaps not in the Cardiff Arena tonight as she keeps hassling the older woman around the ring and Lineker simply can't find a proper series to take over the momentum. The sheer production drops in the second minute but as Danielle tries to lean on the front (left) leg and really send one into Jones' face, she gets countered over the top and slips to her heels when the Russian unloads a nasty jabbing drive over the top. Katya rattles the Welsh cage and pummels the suddenly hapless opponent back to the ropes where only the bell prevents her from inflicting more damage.

Round 2:
Lineker needs to pick up the pace here she was always going to struggle against a pro dancer in the footwork department and Jones is well aware of that as she allows the Welsh model to wear herself out in a fruitless pursuit before blasting her across the mouth on the counter. Danielle's high guard leaks punches down the stretch and she gets outworked in another close range tangle but she simply cannot escape the Russian heat as Katya dominates the footwork battle and pounds the Welsh veteran back to the ropes where she switches downstairs to wreck havoc around Lineker's midsection. Several ripping shots stun the older brunette here and she bends forward with a whimper trying to clinch the pro dancer alas Katya has none of it and keeps drilling the ribcage and liver area until Danielle begins to scream in pain! The dissection of a fine Welsh midriff continues until the third minute when Lineker simply can't take it anymore AND DROPS ONTO HER KNEES to silence the Cardiff Arena. Ugh! Katya yells back at the stunned crowd and even Georgie Thompson doubts whether that was a tactical move from the embattled model. She gets up at six but looks kinda soft here and Jones rips through her high guard with a burst of speed that renders the high guard meaningless. The final stretch has Lineker all covered up but still soaking abuse before the bell eventually saves her from instant disaster.

Round 3:
Danielle looks really out of depth tonight and she has no answer to Katya's high-octane approach that results in another head-hunting pursuit early in the third. The Welsh veteran tries to hang on but is rocked onto her heels with another brutal cross before the Russian slams a left hook on the ear and half-spins her rival to the side. Lineker tries to escape to the right but her feet stay behind and she gets NAILED with a wild left hook on the nose that bellows her eyes to the back of her head... AND DOWN SHE GOES AGAIN!!! My oh my, that's a disaster for the Welsh faithful and Danielle simply got smoked into oblivion with that nasty combo. She remains flat on her back until the count reaches eight and then it's all over since the ref doesn't bother with it anymore. KO3 Katya Jones!!!

AFTER: That's what happens when a fit & aggressive girl vows to score her maiden BBU victory at the expense of a sluggish and hittable veteran. Danielle had the home crowd support but that proved meaningless as she couldn't shake off the rust in time to make this bout competitive. On the other hand Katya Jones has shown plenty of skill against superior opponents Ola Jordan and Mollie King in a losing effort before and she blitzed the physically vulnerable Welsh model tonight to secure a very convincing victory on hostile territory. She's now officially a winner both on the ballroom wooden floor as well as the BBU boxing ring. There's nothing wrong with that!

Georgie Thompson questions whether Danielle should accept future fights against physically dominant women who are several years her junior. There are quite a few outright veterans left on the flyweight roster whom she should find suitable but it's hard to imagine the former Ms Bux escaping the genuine journeywoman status from now on.
