Raica Oliveira vs Jennifer Lamiraqui
(Brazil vs France)
(BBU Debut vs 0-5)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: "You ask me what am I doing here? Well, let's just say that Alessandra Ambrosio isn't the only Brazilian girl who can box!", a smiling Raica Oliveira tells BBU TV's Charlie Webster ahead of her tonight's debut. "You see, I got this call the other day and they asked me whether I was ready. I sure was so here I am. After all, I knocked out Izabel Goulart three times last year on the underground circuit" (laughs).

Apparently former Lioness Club member Pilar Rubio and Sara Carbonero are trying to boost the BBU profile in Spain and while veteran Elsa Pataky rejected the idea of featuring on Laura Barriales' undercard, a talent from across the globe like Oliveira didn't have similar objections.

"Yes, I'm still very much active but I feel like we can really take BBU by storm with the addition of Raica. Brazilian swimsuit models are always in demand!", Sara Carbonero tells Charlie minutes before the fight and she's probably not wrong on grading Oliveira's profile.

The final piece of the puzzle belongs to Jennifer Lamiraqui who despite a terrible record is poised to become one of the most popular go-to girls for any aspiring talents like Oliveira. She vows to derail the exotic train before it gains any momentum and some fans gathered inside the Madrid Arena aren't quite convinced Raica is the second coming of Ambrosio here. She weighs in at only 116 lbs and has that bantam/lightweight tweener look about her despite standing 5'10" tall.

Raica Oliveira wears a yellow bikini set and blue gloves. Dark brown hair in loose waves. Jennifer Lamiraqui wears a blue bikini top, white panties and red gloves. Dark brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Jennifer tries to upstage the new girl with some aggressive jabbing early on and Raica's guard collapses when the older model whacks her across the lips that triggers a high-octane aerial attack from the Frenchwoman. Lamiraqui really gets behind her shots and knocks Raica's head back but can't quite trap her along the ropes as the lanky Brazilian finds success while circling backwards and staying out of her opponent's striking range down the stretch. Still, Lamiraqui keeps her pursuit going and allthough she isn't as successful as before, she prevents Oliveira from mounting a significant comeback and signs off a promising round with a belting hook on the ribcage that Raica never saw coming.

Round 2:
Lamiraqui gets even more excited when she lands an early combo in round two; she traps the fellow brunette in close range and begins to stack up punches against Raica's face but the Brazilian responds with a looping series to the body that wobbles the Frenchwoman and allows the younger girl to maintain her attack. Punching resistance has always been Jennifer's weakness and Oliviera must have studied the tape before her debut; she leans on the French girl so much she almost head-butts her but carves more bruises against the ribcage and glues Lamiraqui to the spot. Footwork and agility are simply not there to allow Jennifer's escape, she bends forward and slumps against Oliveira's waist but what's worse, she gets drilled to the body so hard she begins to gurgle in pain which only fuels Raica's work rate. She pounds a hapless looking French model back to the ropes and scythes her across the mouth to underline her dominance. Lamiraqui looks relieved she finally catches a respite at the bell.

Round 3:
It's Raica's turn to crank up the punching volume and she tackles the slow-moving Frenchwoman to the body again; Jennifer saw this coming and becomes too predictable while guarding her midriff and the Brazilian rocks her with an uppercut double on the chin followed by a cruel hook to the temple. Lamiraqui bends forward with another loud scream but Raica thumps her on the breasts and reels her onto the ropes following a sustained jabbing assault. Jennifer begins to tremble on the ropes while she eats more punches and now Oliviera lets it fly, she hauls in everything upstairs and leaves the older brunette whimpering before another cross-hook blast on the mouth finally breaks her resilience... DOWN GOES LAMIRAQUI and that was very much deserved given the increasing Brazilian dominance. Jennifer takes the eight count before getting up but she still looks wobbly and Raica pounces on her from both flanks. She splits the leaky guard and rocks the poor girl into stupor however clock comes to Jennifer's rescue even though Charlie Webster believes the ref could have stopped the fight already.

Round 4:
There's not much life in Jennifer anymore as she took a real beating the third round and Oliveira begins to tear her apart seconds into the fourth again. This time she takes extra pleasure in blasting the high guard into shreds and soon Lamiraqui only stops the Brazilian's punches with her face. Ugh! She remains glued to the spot in the center of the ring while Raica cuts her up across the nasal ridge and stuffs her with a belting hook on the navel. Lamiraqui sinks on jelly knees with another whimper but Oliveira then nails her on the chin one last time TO PUT HER DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! And Jennifer has no intentions to beat the count anymore. KO4 Raica Oliveira!!!

AFTER: That's a solid debut from the Brazilian stunner who looked sluggish in the opening round but quickly found her rhythm and picked Jennifer off in one-sided fashion. There's no proof whether Raica really stunned Izabel Goulart is such cruel fashion like she told the media but Charlie Webster reckons she might indeed be a force to be reckoned with going forward. BBU embraces any new talent who's brave enough to slug it out in the ring and Sara Carbonero is delighted that Raica's debut earned her such a warm response from the Madrid Arena audience. "We couldn't book Alessandra Ambrosio because she's way up there in appearance fee but Raica's gonna make a lot of noise really soon! When I return to the Main Event billing, I sure hope to see her on the undercard again!" Charlie Webster concurs with that idea and hopes that Raica now becomes a mainstay on the BBU Internatonal circuit.

Final result: Raica Oliveira def. Jennifer Lamiraqui KO4.
