(Girls Friday vs Team Canada)

Intro:
The next bout tonight in Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena sees Kelly Gale and Alaina Huffman add some international flavour to the card, as Sweden meets Canada.
Kelly is 22 years old, stands 5'9 1/2, her record is 7 wins, 6 by knockout and 3 defeats.
Alaina is 38 years old, stands 5'9 and holds a record of 7 wins, 6 by knockout and 8 defeats.

Both fighters were interviewed at their gyms, with Kelly smiling as she steps off a treadmill at the Newcastle based gym she trains at with her stable.
"It's always fun chatting with you guys, whether it's about whose the biggest bytch in the BBU or about fighting in general, ironically though this feels like a home fight since I manage my time between America, my home in my native Sweden and training here" says Kelly as she towels herself off before heading towards the punchbag with the camera following.
After giving the bag a right hook, she turns to the camera and says "Alaina is going to be tricky, she has a good skill set and as much as I hate it, I have to admit that I am still learning my craft"
Smirking "but Alaina is on her way out; I plan on continuing to prove I am the future of this division and with Alessandra Ambrosio and Kendall Jenner as sparring partners to go alongside my partner in crime Sara (Sampaio) what more can I ask for in building my future?"
While in a gym in London; coach Kari Matchett holding the punchbag as Alaina finishes her drill on it with a fully focused look.
Wiping herself with a towel, Alaina tells the press "so I am finally back in action; too long if you ask me but sadly that's life guys"
Before adding ominously "I hope Kelly realises that when she steps into the ring with me, that I am coming to rip that pretty head of hers off, just a warning"

Fight night; out comes Kelly with Taryn Terrell and Eva Carneiro by her side, she is wearing a yellow bikini top, yellow trunks with blue strips down the side, yellow gloves with blue thumbs and yellow boots, her brunette hair is braided.
She looks in a good mood as she steps into the ring, smiling as she jogs to her corner and limbers up to get ready for the fight.
Now out comes Alaina, she has Kari Matchett behind her as she has her head down on her way to the ring, wearing a red bikini top, red and white half and half coloured trunks, red gloves with a white thumb and red shoes, her blonde hair in a ponytail.
Lifting her head up as she reaches the steps, her eyes full of intensity as she bangs her gloves together and jogs up the steps, before getting into the ring and settling into her warm up routine.
Soon enough both fighters come to the ring centre; eyes locked together as they show no fear for their opponent, touching noses as they step together closer.
When they are asked to touch gloves; they swipe them together before jogging to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters with both testing each other out, a cagey start as they circle and trade jabs that mostly find the others guard.
Alaina is the first to try to up the pace by stepping forwards with two punches off the body, but she eats two strikes to her face.
Both cancelling each other out early, Kelly though doesn't seem to be doing much more then letting Alaina come on the attack and countering her.
Alaina again looms to push the action as she dips under a right and lands two more body shots, missing with an overhand right though as the Swedish fighter leans out the way.
Kelly starts to use her footwork more as the rounds passes the half way mark, scoring more with her punches as she fights on the outside.
The tough Alaina taking the punches well as she looks to press forwards, forcing Kelly to trade at midrange as Kelly circles around the outside of the ring.
Alaina misses with a left cross and gets caught with a straight to the top of her head, with Kelly moving into space and landing straight shots to the face of the blonde.
The late part of the round sees Kelly start to up her own work rate, as if happy that she has worked out her opponent as she throws more punches into the face of Huffman.
The bell rings not long after with Kelly and Alaina strolling past each other with fully focused looks on their faces, both their coaches giving them advice on what to do in the next round as the girls look to them, after a very even round.

Round 2:
This time Kelly comes out with more urgency; working on the outside with her jab and using her speed and head movement to take control of the start of the round.
Alaina trying to herd Kelly onto the ropes with straight shots, Kelly though is too quick and counters with her punches smacking the blonde over her face.
Two straight punches smack Alaina on her nose as she tries to step in, making her cover up as Kelly starts to move forwards.
The veteran shows her experience off by dipping under a left cross and bangs away at the body of Kelly to force her back.
The fighters trading stiff single punches to the others face as they circle each other, Alaina though looks to step in with a right across the face of her opponent.
Kelly though dips under it and lands a right across the chin of Huffman, turning the actresses head and allowing her to power forwards with three punches landing to the face of Alaina.
Who has to cover up as Gale stands throwing more punches in bunches; several punches hit the gloves or forearms of Huffman, the ones that do get through though knocks the blondes head back.
Kelly finishing the round the stronger as Alaina gives up ground under the assault from the model, the bell ringing with Kelly jogging with a small smirk on her face, clearly believing she has Alaina worked out.
While Alaina gets told off Keri "get into her face babe, if you let her run rings around you, then you are going to find the fight has passed you by"

Round 3:
This time Alaina looks to step quickly forwards and pressure her younger opponent, Kelly boxing off the back foot happily judging by her expression.
The girls landing several stiff punches as Alaina is the one on the attack, hunting down her opponent with piston like punches aimed at the head of Kelly.
Who dodges most of them and then fires back with a straight to the lips of Alaina and after dipping under a counter left cross, coming up with a right to the side of Alaina's head to knock sweat off it.
Alaina being pressed back towards the ropes, having to cover up as she face was getting hit with multiple punches knocking her head back.
As Huffman's back touches the ropes; she fires back at Kelly to try and get off the ropes, leading to the girls slugging it out in tight.
Kelly retreats back as she gets caught by a right hook, Alaina chasing after her with her punches smacking off the body of the model to back her up towards the ropes.
But as Alaina gets Kelly onto the ropes, the Swedish fighter gives her a nudge with her left and landing a right over the top to knock Alaina back, giving her room to move into.
Kelly controls the final part of the round with her movement allowing her to keep the distance at long range and stings the face of Alaina.
Who looks a little frustrated as she can't land her power punches to try, with the bell ringing not long after she misses with a right hook and takes a double jab off her nose.
Taryn gives Kelly a nod to tell her she is doing well, telling her "keep this up babe, you are too fast for her and she is getting worried, I see it on her face"
While Keri tells Alaina "come on! You know you are better then her, so don't let her breath!" With Alaina nodding but looking annoyed as she stares at Kelly.

Round 4:
The round starts with both looking to take control early, ramming their jabs into the others face, till Kelly dodges a straight from her opponent and lands an uppercut.
That knocks Alaina onto her heels; Kelly not looking the gift horse in the mouth as she pounds Alaina back onto the ropes.
Alaina tries to get her guard tighter but a right just above the waistband of her trunks makes her gasp and a right to the side of her head turns it, ALAINA TAKING A KNEE TO STOP BEING HIT!
The referee nudges Kelly back as she looks to keep striking Alaina, 1...2...3...4 Alaina shakes her head to clear a few cobwebs, 5...6...7...8 taking the count before getting up, ready to resume fighting.
Allowed to continue; Alaina tries to get into Kelly's face, surprising Kelly somewhat as the youngster didn't expect Alaina to attack with such fire behind her eyes.
Body punches catch Kelly to force her back towards a corner; Alaina looking to land a right hook up top, Kelly managing to lean out the way and moves out into space.
Alaina looking to finish the round strong but is getting caught too easily by the freed up Kelly, the youngster dancing around her and countering with her punches catching Alaina on her face.
The bell rings to end the round with Kelly almost bouncing back to her corner, Taryn can be seen smiling as she praises her fighter.
The Team Canada corner looking a bit more worried, bar Alaina; who is looking pissed off as she sits down, not wanting Keri's advice now as she scowls over at her opponent.

Round 5:
Kelly aiming to build off the knockdown in the last round; throwing more punches in bunches as she comes out to fight.
While Alaina looking to dip down more and slip to the inside, managing to land more to the body, but not able to stay in too close as Kelly keeps showing her faster footwork to step out the way.
As Alaina goes to dip under a jab; Kelly steps back out the way of a right aimed at her body and lands two cross punches to the top of the actresses head.
When Alaina steps back, Kelly is quick to step in with a left across the lips of the blonde to make her grimace and an uppercut that follows rocks her head back.
There's a clear wobble in the legs of Huffman as Gale smacks her with three punches to the face, A RIGHT HOOK PUTS ALAINA DOWN TO HER SIDE!
The count begins with Alaina rubbing her cheek, which looks swollen 1...2...3...4 Alaina drags herself towards the ropes, 5....6.....7 using the ropes, she pulls herself up to a knee 8...9 before just beating the count as her experience tells her to milk the count.
Though as she is allowed to continue; she still looks hurts as Kelly comes on the attack, Alaina swings a few wild hooks in desperation to laund something to turn this fight around.
But as she misses and Kelly picks her off with stiff punches smacking straight up the center to the face of Huffman, knocking her head back.
A jab and right hook from Kelly rocks Alaina back onto the ropes, STEPPING IN TIGHT; KELLY RIPS HER PUNCHES ACROSS THE FACE OF HER OPPONENT, MAKING HER SINK ONTO THE ROPES WITH HER HANDS BARELY UP, THE REFEREE NEEDING TO STEP IN TO STOP THE FIGHT!

Winner Kelly Gale TKO Round 5

After:
Kelly for the most part looked great here, as Olivia Wayne points out that the 16 years difference clearly made it an uphill battle for Alaina.
Denise wondering what a prime Huffman would have done against this youngster.
But Kelly isn't bothered about that; she rushes over to her corner to hug her corner team, before climbing the bottom rope in her corner and flexes her arms to the crowd.
A big smile on the face of Kelly shows you how much this win means for her, Taryn telling her "one more step to success babe" as her and Kelly bump fists.
While Keri has to help Alaina back to her corner, the look of defeat on the face of Huffman has the commentators asking "are we seeing her as a spent force now?"
Alaina's face is marked up all over and she looks like she is fighting back tears, tossing her gloves off as Keri wipes down her face, she shouts "this is far from the end of me! I'm going to train harder and wipe these young s***s off the face of the map"
Keri smiles and replies "well I'll kick your ass in the gym to get you in even better shape then, we can go running tomorrow morning in fact!"
With Alaina managing to crack a small smile, but deep in thoughts as she is helped up by Keri and out the ring, she proved by keep getting up after being knocked down repeatedly that she still has the heart of a champion, does she have the chin?

Kelly mean while blows kisses to the fans as she gets her arm raised, loving the crowd as they stand and applaud her for her efforts.
Her and Taryn talking about the future as a title shot is out the question as long as her stablemate Alessandra holds the BBU lightweight title.
"Don't get disheartened OK? You are still a work in progress and this was another step forwards, the title will be yours someday" says Taryn to her fighter as Kelly simply nods.
Not looking overly happy but accepting that is the facts, as she leaves the ring with her crew, making sure to give Eva a big hug as they head up the ramp, with the final sight of the group blowing a kiss to the crowd before they head to the locker room.
