BEFORE:
Avril Lavigne's quest for Fighter of the Year honors suffered a nasty hiccup when she got punched out by Jenna Coleman on last week's PPV but the 'Punk Princess' is hell bent to bounce back in style at the expense of slumping Lioness Club Beta flyweight Selena Gomez tonight. Both girls gained enough weight over the last year or so to warrant a conversation about moving up to bantam but Selena remains stuck in Minka Kelly-like funk that started with a loss to Danielle Campbell in January and steamrolled with full force at the hands of Stella Hudgens. With Nina Dobrev making all the noise outside of the perennial Alpha Jessica Lowndes, Selena's status on the LCA roster has raised several rumours about a potential departure. Losing to Lavigne would only pour more fuel into that gossip fire!

The brunette's issues are like the LAST thing on Avril's mind though: "Selena is like, hands down one of the most overrated girls in the FCBA. She's one of the biggest creampuffs around and I'm totally going to kick her wimpy ass tonight. I don't care that she's bigger than me, she's just a big Disney baby! The fact that she's ranked higher than me is a huge joke...I mean, Stella Hudgens fucked her up and made her f*cking CRY….” Avril laughs. “What makes her think I can't do the same to her? Pah-lease. You suck Gomez!" The bubbly blonde sticks out her middle finger as she giggles to end her monologue.

Selena's always been the polite member of the LCA bunch but these Disney jokes are getting old indeed. Then again, she prefers to ignore the verbal taunting which does make it look like she's aware of the pressure building around her. Confidence bare-o-meter hits the red marker according to several pundits and quite frankly its' Avril's fight to lose in front of the packed Staples Center house!

Avril Lavigne wears her trademark black & pink trimmed crop top/hotpants attire. Long blonde hair tied in a high ponytail. Selena Gomez wears a turquoise bikini set with white trim and black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Avril's all over Selena's tummy in the early going and she finds it way too easy to land those crisp shots that make the brunette wince upon impact! Huh! The 'Punk Princess' channels some of that wrath that destroyed Leighton Meester inside the opening round and Selena just can't shake her off - she yields real estate in a hurry and misfires over the top when she tries to snap the singer's head back. Meanwhile Avril just keeps going - did anyone expect anything else from her? - and bumps the cumbersome Latina onto the ropes where she unloads more juice to the body. Gomez manages to clinch her but eats a quick hook on the jaw when the fight is resumes and a late flurry of punches stack her up in the corner with Lavigne barking in her efforts to knock her down! That red mist approach affects the blonde's precision though and Selena escapes the heat with some bendy moves of her own!

Round 2:
Avril jumps into another trigger-happy approach but gets whacked up the middle when Selena finds the overhand to clip her on the nose. She follows through with a belting shot on Lavigne’s soft tummy and suddenly the Canadian trips back to her heels... she tries to push herself off to maintain the high-tempo but is too slow for a cross hooking double that glues her to the spot and Gomez snaps her head back repeatedly in a frantic display of Lioness fury. Uh-oh!!! Selena's no longer that sweet teenage starlet and she thumps Lavigne back to the ropes exposing the singer's mediocre guard! The Dollhouse crew isn't used to see their fighters bullied around on home turf but Avril fails to match the brunette's intensity and gets pinned to the ropes with Selena working the head-hunting chase to keep the highly-touted opponent under wraps for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
Apparently Avril's plan is to bully the brunette around regardless of the circumstances but she gets outworked during another high-octane exchange early in the third and here's where Gomez's superior reach begins to make the difference... Avril eats several clean shots up high and simply refuses to back off which only fuels the Latina's desire to plain destroy here... it's almost a suicidal approach from the singer and she gets pummelled back to the ropes when Selena slices her guard up with relative ease.. ugh.. Lavigne's footwork isn't of the highest standard at all and she gets pinned butt-in-ropes with Selena trying to knock her head off! Both girls groan in their efforts but suddenly Avril CRIES OUT when the brunette tears a small cut under her left eye before another one-two combo on the jaw sends the Canadian into fish-tailing mode. Her gloves drop by her breasts so Gomez has a clean shot and SHE KNOCKS LAVIGNE DOWN with a vicious hook on the nose!!! Disaster for the Dollhouse gang... Avril stunned, looking quite punch drunk glassy eyed…but battles bravely to wobbly feet at eight but doesn't look so punky anymore and is fortunate enough the clock expires before Selena could clean her out for good! It's a huge moment for the Lioness tourist who high-fives coach Eva Mendes and suddenly the writing is on the wall for The Dollhouse's most notorious member!

Round 4:
No immediate response from the banged up Lavigne... Gomez on a steady prowl instead but she lacks the buzzsaw approach with the Canadian's spooked behaviour fueling a more improved footwork... still, Avril teases little with the aerial swings and spends majority of the round in retreat as Selena tries to whack her upstairs over and over again... single punches don't make the difference and this is where Jessica Lowndes usually steps up to send a wounded prey packing... no such luck - or skill - for the Lioness Beta and allthough Lavigne defaults the round wholesale, she winks back at Kristanna Loken when the bell halts the Gomez chase. Even the experts think Selena let her off the hook so it's no wonder Eva Mendes isn't exactly pleased by this performance.

Round 5:
Selena goes up-tempo again but Avril has found her mojo and as she soaks up a brief head-hunting series, she manages to stick her mitts into the brunette's tummy while driving her backwards with a quick head-butt. Ugh! Avril tags Selena's chin but finds more space to work around the taller girl's elbows and rips a harpoon double to wobble Gomez back to the ropes... Selena ducks away from the incoming rush but misses the counter shot and gets tagged with a vicious hook on the boobs that drops her onto the turnbuckle... Avril flies in with a right-on-right and gets there first!!! She slams a hook on the brunette's eye to bend her sideways before adding more blows to the exposed ribcage. Gomez tries to clinch her but eats more jug-clipping uppercuts that follow through on the chin and leave her slumped in the corner while Lavigne rallies back into contention! She goes all-in and tears a cut under Selena's left eye as the Lioness guard collapses under the onslaught and the bell rescues the brunette this time with Avril shouting back at the cheering audience: "That's how I like it bytches!!!"

Round 6:
Avril ducks underneath Selena's hooking approach and slams more harpoons to the body as she enforces a phone booth stance early in the sixth. Gomez fails to stretch her elbows properly and gets outworked during another feisty exchange which allows the Canadian to settle down and punish more Latin tummy... Uh-oh!!! Selena begins to feel the heat but she only bounces off the top of the singer's forehead while slumping onto her right side - that's Lavigne wrecking havoc downstairs and she DRILLS the brunette's tummy into a mush come the half-way mark... Selena's scowls suddenly become louder and she gets pinned into the ropes with Lavigne thumping her in relentless fashion... and it's simply too much for the former Disney Princess WHO SLIDES DOWN ONTO HER KNEES with a loud whimper... Avril quickly struts back to coach Loken not to leave anything on the table but poor Selena sits down on her heels and takes it way too long before recovering... she's up at eight but still looks a bit groggy and wobbles to the ropes still hugging the bruised midriff... We're on the Doll Ball here so the ref goes all home team and WAVES THE FIGHT OFF!!! Controversial but not exactly undeserved TKO6 Avril Lavigne!!!

AFTER:

"You got PUNK'd, bytch!!!", Avril shouts back at the stunned Lioness brunette who tries to argue her case with the referee but that misty look in her eyes tells a different story. Selena got badly exposed to the body tonight and the shear ammount of Lavigne's wrath dropped her for the count. The stoppage might have been premature but Selena's guilty of a massive fumble in the fourth where she had the Canadian rocked and ready to be put away. "Jessica would have NEVER let her back in!", Eva Mendes is heard talking to the visibly shattered Selena but the Lioness flyweight Beta knows it perfectly well too.

She doesn't have much time to compute those words as Avril suddenly grabs her from behind and spins into center of the ring where she traps her elbow in a rear lock and forces into accepting a Walk of Shame much to the crowd's delight! Eva Mendes is furious: "Don't break her arm, you bytch!, but she's not gonna riot over this with the crowd fully enjoying the show. Selena is degraded into spasms as she hobbles around the area with Avril seething in her ear: "Haha, having fun creampuff? Or are you gonna cry now? All you Disney sluts are equally worthless!"

After completing two laps of the ring Lavigne shoves the sobbing brunette onto her knees and leaves her bend against the canvas in what sums up one of the worst nights of Selena's Lioness career! Those rumours about her becoming a free agent simply won't go away anytime soon based on this ugly performance!
