3. Karlie Kloss versus Gigi Hadid

BEFORE:
The Victoria Secret tournament continues in the Cotai Arena sees Karlie Kloss fight her stablemate Gigi Hadid for a chance at the semi final.

Karlie is 25 years old, stands at 6'0 and holds a record of 11 wins, all by knockout and only 3 defeats, she was the first New Blood welterweight tournament winner.

Gigi is 22 years old, stands at 5'11 and holds a record of 6 wins, all by knockout and 7 defeats.

These two have fought before; in the actual New Blood Welterweight tournament final a year ago that Karlie won with a 6th round knockout.

Time seems to have healed some wounds from that time as the girls smirk at each other when they meet at the press event, happy to take a photo with their arms around the others waist and not around their necks in a headlock.

They head to their tables with Fighting Academy management sitting with them, maybe in case they decide to throw the progress in renewing their friendship out the window.

Karlie is the first to speak, telling the press "what a difference a year makes, me and Gigi fell out over the New Blood tournament, we knew winning it could be a ticket to getting the picks of our stables, maybe if we knew we'd end up at the same stable that wouldn't have happened"

Adding "but we are both competitive and I aim to prove tournaments are my thing by continuing my one hundred percent record in tournament fights by beating Gigi, she will be hard to beat but I have done it before and nothing has changed"

Gigi looks to take exception to the nothings has changed bit, replying "to Gigi she may think I haven't changed, but I have grew up in the ring and outside it to be stronger then I ever have been"

Looking at Karlie as she continues with "when I fought you last year; I made one mistake and you just pulled it out, next time though I am taking your head for my trophy cabinet and once I win this tournament, I want the respect I deserve from the pundits, other managers and other fighters"

The girls nod at each other as they stand up, Gigi looking like she wants to say more, maybe holding back her true feelings on the situation, but it's too late now as they leave the stage. 

Fighting time, Karlie is out first; she has Sarah Michelle Gellar with her tonight, a warm smile on her cherry red lipstick painted lips, waving to the fans as she struts to the ring. She is wearing a Victoria Secret white bra and knickers, white gloves and her blonde hair is up in a ponytail. Climbing into the ring, she jogs around the inside of the ring, waving to the fans as she looks to get the fans on side, before beginning to warm up in her corner.

Now out comes Gigi with Kelly Hu in her corner, she looks up for this as she shouts "let's do this!" To the crowd, strutting down to the ring as the fans chant both girls names. Gigi is wearing a turquoise bra and knickers from the Victoria Secret line, to go with her emerald green gloves and her own blonde hair is braided. 

Stepping into the ring, she blows kisses to the fans as she heads to her corner, before starting to warm up with stretches. The girls are brought to the ring centre by the referee, a scowl is on both fighters faces as they look over each other, maybe some feelings of hate still linger over the last time they fought.

Asked to touch gloves, they bump their gloves harder then some expected before they head back to their corners, the referee signalling for the bell to begin 10 rounds of welterweight action.

ROUND 1:
Out come both fighters with a real spring to their steps, Gigi moving her head as Karlie starts off with her jab and fighting off the back foot early. Gigi landing a few punches to the body of Karlie as she steps to the inside, but finds herself being clipped to the top of her head with several right punches. The girls working in tight as Gigi tries to push to the inside, the crowd already loving the fast paced action with both girls slugging it out. Karlie catches Gigi with a right to the top of her head, it opens some space up between them, allowing the bigger girl to snap three punches through the guard of Hadid to press her backwards. Gigi is stuck on the back foot, forced to cover up as Karlie hammers away at her with straight punches, Kloss looking to open her up as she goes on the front foot. A left finds it's way around the guard of Gigi to knock her head sideways, allowing Karlie a gap to slam two more straight punches into the face of the younger fighter. But Gigi manages to move away from the ropes as Karlie tries to sting her face with a straight, finding space to reset as Karlie tries to keep the pressure on. Gigi slips under a left hook to slam a left of her own to the ribs of her opponent, starting her attack on the body of Karlie, who grunts each time she gets hit. Karlie pushing Gigi back to open up space, the girls trading single punches as the round heads to it's end, with Kloss landing the better punches due to her reach advantage. The bell rings to end the round with Karlie smiling over to Sarah who gives her a thumbs up, in the other corner Gigi and Kelly looking annoyed, even the coaches seem keen to win this fight for their own records.

ROUND 2:
Gigi looking more keen to get up close and personal with Karlie, moving side to side to look for an opening with the bigger fighter digging her jab towards her head. The younger fighter slips under a right hook to land to the body, landing a few punches to the jugs of Karlie to show that she will do anything to win. Karlie groaning out as she is driven to the ropes by Gigi, Hadid grinning as she digs away at the abs of Kloss till she gets clinched up. The referee breaking the girls apart as they both look hatefully at each other, Karlie landing several punches off the gloves of Gigi as she tries to hammer her back. But Gigi ducks under a left hook and comes back up with an overhand right off the cheek of Karlie to make her shake her head. Gigi piling the pressure on as she lands five punched off the body of Karlie, who is grimacing as she is knocked towards a corner. The slightly older fighter needing to push her rival off, digging a double jab to her nose as Gigi tries to rush forwards, knocking the head of Hadid back with sweat flying into the air.
Both fighters separating for a moment, dancing around each other as they stare angrily through their guards at their stablemate, the win meaning so much to both.
Karlie again manages to land several punches over the guard of Gigi as the seconds tick away in the round, but she can't keep Hadid off her as Gigi parries a jab and steps inside to rip a right and left across her face. Both end the round in tight with their punches slamming across each others faces, the referee needing to nudge both these beautiful models apart as they look ready to continue on fighting. Gigi though looking happier as she bumps her fist with Kelly, who praises her for taking the fight to her stablemate. Both fighters needing to be cleaned up as already they are starting to look slightly marked up, washed down of sweat as the fighters stare
across the ring at each other with angry eyes.

ROUND 3:
Both fighters start off strong, Gigi keeping her guard tight as Karlie takes the early lead with her long range punches snapping off the gloves of Gigi. Who is looking to get back inside, Gigi moving her head more as Karlie tries to step forwards with more sweeping punches, trying to get keep Gigi static in front of her. But she leaves herself open to an overhand left and an uppercut that puts Karlie onto her backside! Gigi raising her arms in the air as she stares down at Kloss. The referee nudging Gigi away, maybe letting her temper get the better of her as Karlie shakes her head to try clearing it, happy to get a little extra time to recover due to Gigi not heading to a corner right away, she beats the count at 8. After being checked on, Karlie is allowed to continue, Gigi's eyes lighting up as she comes forwards, taking several punches to her gloves as she looks for a chance to end this. She gets too keen though as she tries swinging a wide right, missing and eating a straight onto her nose to bring some tears to her eyes. Karlie fighting off the back foot, trying to keep Gigi off her as the younger fighter is trying to charge forwards, Kelly having to shout at Gigi to be more patient. Taking her advice, Gigi holds back; looking for an opening again as Karlie happily sits back and waits for Hadid to make a mistake. But instead as Gigi comes forwards, Karlie misses with a left cross as her opponent ducks and slams a left to the abs of Kloss to a cry of agony. Gigi finishing the round strongly by hammering a defending Karlie onto the ropes, most of her punches hitting arm or glove but the ones that hit slam into the side of the body of Karlie.
The bell rings with Gigi looking smug as she jogs back to her corner, getting a hold in this fight especially with that knockdown giving her a good cushion on the scorecards to work with. As Gigi sits on her stool, she has visions of finishing Karlie off and getting the chip off her shoulder, Kelly telling her "keep focused,
you know Karlie will be looking for revenge" Karlie meanwhile looks at the canvas, Sarah telling her as she washes her down "a small set back but you know that Gigi has her flaws, exploit them babe"

ROUND 4:
Gigi off out her corner nearly before the bell, hunting down Karlie as she looks to end this now, Karlie of course trying to keep her range to keep the younger fighter back. Hadid parries a jab and steps inside to land to the body with a right and left smacking into the ribs of Kloss, who gasps and is pressed onto the ropes. The younger Gigi digs away to the body with her head down, Karlie butt is on the ropes as Gigi looks to push her through the ropes it seems. Karlie forced to clinch up, she looks pissed off now as can't believe that Gigi has controlled her so much, the referee pulling the girls apart. Gigi steps forwards with her jab measuring up Karlie, who stings her face with her punches as Karlie looks to step up her work rate.
Karlie needing to step back out the way off a right hook to her ribs, allowing her to snap a straight to the top of Gigi's head. Before she steps in and lands a right hook that puts Gigi on the back foot, the first moment of weakness for Gigi as Karlie pushes forwards with her punches raining off the gloves of her rival. Karlie looking stronger as she pins Gigi behind her guard, trying to break it open as she slams punch after punch into the gloves. Gigi tries to fight back as the round comes towards a conclusion, both girls landing hard shots, but Karlie is landing the cleaner punches as she has more room to move. The round ends withboth girls giving each other a shove, their expressions show off the fire in their hearts, their coaches needing to come out to guide them back to their corners.
Karlie's corner looking happier as she is starting to feel like she is recovering in the fight, Sarah nodding at her as she sees her smile, as if telling her that she is improving. While Gigi doesn't look too worried, her and Kelly going through
the next round.

ROUND 5:
Both fighters circle early on in the round, Gigi looking to continue controlling the pace with head movement giving her chances to get to the inside. She manages to land a right to the body, but takes a left across the top of her head, when Gigi tries to come back in, she takes a stiff straight onto her nose. A follow up strike onto the nose of Gigi causes some blood to run from her nostrils, Hadid wiping some blood away with her glove, more annoyed it seems then really hurt. Gigi steps back in close, the fighters slugging it out as they plant their feet, the girls each yelp out as they crack each other with hard shots, sweat flying into the air as they look to hurt each other badly. It's Karlie who breaks the stalemate, stepping back and snapping a double jab into the bloody nose of Hadid, before landing a vicious looking right cross that forces her opponent back a few steps. Gigi covering up as she is driven back around the ring, her guard up to try and protect herself as best she can, problem is that she has some gaps allowing Karlie to slam punches into her face. The youngster trying to fight back with two wide hooks that Karlie moves out the way of, countering with a straight to the top of her head, then a left landing flush onto her cheek. Karlie pushes Gigi onto the ropes with a right and left slamming into her face, Hadid forced to cover up as she is under a sustained assault from the bigger fighter. The bell rings to end the round with Karlie looking relieved that she seems to have weathered the storm from Gigi, who looks frustrated; Gigi stamping back to her corner. Both fighters faces looking a little puffy, Gigi's nose bleeding over her lips to her chin, while Karlie's body is reddening from the attention she received throughout the fight.

ROUND 6:
Gigi is looking to try and keep this fight on her terms, but she is starting to take too many punches onto her face as her guard is becoming too loose. Karlie is keeping the distance, at worse getting clipped to her sides as her opponent tries to charge forwards in tight. But the action is starting to go in one direction, Karlie controlling
it with her pinpoint punches just eating away at Gigi, whose face is starting to look a bloody mess on the lower part. Kloss isn't bothered about stable loyalty at the moment, her eyes are fully focused on trying to stop Gigi as she snaps a straight between the gloves of Hadid to her nose. Before she steps in with a right and left across the face of her opponent, knocking sweat and blood into the air as the crowd and even the corner crews sense this hasn't got much left. Gigi though shows she isn't a quitter, continuing to keep coming forwards, even as Karlie continues to beat her around her face. Kelly watching with a worried look on her face as Gigi continues to soak up punishment, the youngster finally smartly covering up as she is pressed onto the ropes. Even the referee is wondering whether her should step in, Gigi is just about doing enough with potty shots out her guard hitting Karlie in her abs. But as the round ends, most people in the crowd seem to know that this becoming one way traffic, Karlie ignoring the blood on her gloves as she looks focused to end this fight. While Gigi slumps onto her stool; she tells Kelly though "don't end this" as she sees the doubts on her coaches face.

ROUND 7:
Gigi does come out trying to make a fight of it, landing two straight punches to the body of Karlie, maybe giving her fans some hope. But Karlie cracks her across the face with a right hook that sends Gigi stumbling back, she steps forwards to land a follow up left hook to knock Hadid onto her back! The referee begins counting, but as he gets to 6; he can see that Gigi is barely stirring so just waves the fight off as she isn't going to beat the count anytime soon.

Official Decision: Karlie Kloss defeats Gigi Hadid via KO7!

AFTER:
A shaky start for Karlie but she pushes through to remind people why she is one of the favourites from the outset for this tournament. She pumps her arms into the air as the fans show their love for her by chanting "Karlie!" In the massive arena. While Gigi has Kelly waking her up and cleaning her up in the ring centre, the beaten babe is looking close to tears, staring angrily at her stablemate, hating the fact that she lost to her again. When Karlie comes over to check on her and puts her hand out to help Gigi up, Hadid slaps the hand away and attempts to push herself up to her feet. Kelly needed to help her up as she in no way has the strength to stand up unassisted, Gigi continues to glare at Karlie, showing she is still bitter no matter how much the relationship has improved in the gym. She is helped out the ring as Kelly can be heard admonishing her for not taking Karlie's hand, not happy herself the way Gigi has acted. But in the ring, Sarah rushes over and hugs Karlie, telling her how proud she was of her performance, before the referee lifts the hand of the winner up for all to see. Karlie soon leaves the ring, giving a few fans an autograph, before walking up the ramp with her mind firmly on the semi finals now, could she win this tournament and possibly be a title contender to the Welterweight title?
