Bo Krsmanovic vs Maria Sharapova

BEFORE:
Next on the menu, Big Bo hoping to take on the Queen of tennis herself, Maria Sharapova. It’s a real East European bonanza as the Russian athlete enters the ring after a long hiatus (serving that inconvenient drug suspension), with her sparring partner tonight though arguably the hottest commodity to get out of Serbia. Naturally, both girls have few kind words to say about each other.

“I may be a bit rusty coming back after so long, but I’ve been a top competitor BOTH in the squared and rectangular circles. People KNOW me,” Maria beaming to the reporters in attendance. “Bo? She’s just another wannabe princess trying to take my crown,” Maria not mincing words, directing a straight volley down the other side of court.

Bojana taking the blow and serving back one of her own with a scoff just loud enough to make the Russian heavy-hitter jealous.

“You’re a fake, Mary. You got to the top with those steroids in your system. I enjoyed watching you crash right to the bottom this past two years, and I promise you will crash tonight as well once i'm done with you.”

Blonde and brunette chesting into each other and coming nose-to-nose, lips still hissing insults at each other in their native tongues. Sharapova showing off all that downtime in the gym put to good use, her toned body wrapped in white bikini and both hands donning red gloves. Big Bo in dark maroon bikini, white gloves raised and ready to go as well. Referee rings the bell and we’re off!

ROUND 1:
Girls eager to get started on mutual destruction and start throwing the big stuff early on, troubling each other with hooks that land hard on guard and a few stinging the cheek. Bo experiencing rare success in recent times with a string of victories over girls who would have traditionally given her trouble, but her most recent win over Karlie Kloss was one for the record books and a defining moment for the brunette. And she’s fighting like she knows it, hell bent on not letting a washed up tennis star get the better of her now. Bo mixing up her strategy with short jabs and big swings, confusing Sharapova early on as she can’t seem to anticipate her attacks. As a result, blonde eats a few clean hands to the face, grimacing, but her wild hooks bang right back, one of which contorts Bo’s cheek and forces a grunt as well. Bo showing off what she’s learnt early on in the round but now clearly hurt by Maria’s power. Late in the round, she’s thrown back on the defensive as Sharapova continues to pester her with big hooks, not giving her much room to breathe. Last right hand crashes into the side of her guard, the force of which buffets her back into the ropes in a full display of the Russian’s power. Thankfully for Bo the bell rings right after, saving her from a knockdown. Not a good start for Krsmanovic as she struggles to establish success over another dangerous girl who has the potential to put her away easily.

ROUND 2:
Bo not trying to out-punch this scream queen no longer, evades her big cannons for first half of the round and instead falling back on her jab jab jab to Sharapova’s cheek, which frustrate the tennis queen as she’s not used to not catching the balls with her hands. Maria getting outplayed in delicious fashion as Bojana just always remains slightly out of range. Who knew such a paltry model could be out-punching a glorified tennis athlete? Third minute and Sharapova left panting and forehead gleaming with sweat, no choice but to let the shark come get her. Bojana obliges, firing off more jabs into her nose and lips, making her back away, then more straight punches smack into her tummy, before BIG SWINGS WHAP WHAP FWAP - power-hooks shaking down Sharapova’s guard and into side of her head. Sharapova tries to repeat Bo’s success with jabs into her chin and body, but brunette at this point can’t stop her bull rush, continues driving her back into the ropes. Before she can get to work on a knockdown, however, referee stops the round with the ring of the bell. Sighing, Bojana slouches back from exhaustion herself. A good round for her but failure to put Sharapova down may come back to bite her in the future…

ROUND 3:
Girls wanna surge right back into thick of the action, evident from their mutual looks of hatred as they trade punches at the bell. Bo slightly shocked when Maria fires off a right cross first - she barely manages to stop it with both arms. Bo retaliates with a textbook uppercut that smashes into the middle of her guard, almost breaking it apart right there and then. Sharapova going back to tummy bashing to distract her attacker, left hook right hook into Bo’s toned sides, making her grunt, but brunette merely absorbs the shock of both blows and FWAP - snap jab jab jab back into her chin, knocking her head back and forcing the retreat. Bojana doesn’t give chase, much to the disappointment of the crowd, who’ve certainly had this dream of two big girls tussling in tight embrace ever since this match was announced. Sharapova shakes her head and soldiers forward again, however, ducks another busty right hook from Bo, who was looking for the knockout but instead eats another left fist into her belly, then her own head SNAPPED back in retaliation for earlier abuse. This time Bojana is thrown back into the ropes and SHARAPOVA CHARGES IN. More fists light up her tanned belly as she goes into overdrive mode, huffing and puffing, digging her elbows in and out, in and out. Bo in trouble, trying to clinch, succeeds in getting her arms in between and SHOVES backwards - it works! Maria’s reach extended as she’s pushed back. She tries bulling forward yet again but is met by Bo’s fists into her chin and mouth. Last few seconds see both girls resting and recovering in each other’s arms, wrestling for more control on the ropes, lips on shoulders as they try to score more points with fists digging into sides. Referee has to separate them at the bell, prying sweaty bodies apart and escorting them both back to corners.

ROUND 4:
Both girls go after the body in mutual gut-pounding action, trading loud, thudding hooks to the ribs and tummy in the opening seconds. Both ladies really want the win here and it bloody shows. Sharapova taking the lead as the exchange continues, using her incredible stamina and athlete’s body to absorb the pain and dish out even more. Bo silently cursing to herself in between load groans as Maria’s glove spanks her sides and continues swiping at her abs. Big brunette slowly getting backed down, suffering as another one-two uppercuts HUP HUP buried into her tummy. Sharapova now smiling, letting out that patented shriek she’s known for each time she fires off a body swing. Krsmanovic making herself small, if that's even possible, hunched over and continuing to back away, but now switching targets to Sharapova’s chin instead, and the Russian star doesn't see the punches coming till it’s too late: first a right hand swipes the chin, dazing her and giving Bo some breathing space. Then, brunette swipes a left hand straight across her cheek! Maria goes UGH as the double hooks connect. Now Bo regaining ground, stepping in and wailing away on the guard. Sharapova giving up the body abuse and covers up high, but it’s no use: another one-two sharp drilling into the gut makes her arms loose, and Bo LETS FLY a brilliant right hook that CONNECTS - BLAM - Maria sent sprawling down to the floor in an overpowering KNOCKDOWN FOR BIG BO! 

3…4… Sharapova sobbing on her tummy, crawling to safe haven that are the ropes, but they’re just TOO far away out of reach…

5…6… Bojana gloatingly smug in her corner, body still pristine and pulsing except for the red welts from Maria’s attention. Still, she knows she’s back in the game this round.

7…8…9… Sharapova now shrieking to herself as she tries pulling herself up by the ropes. But… 10!! She doesn’t make it pass her knees! IT’S OVER!

Official Decision: Bo Krsmanovic defeats Maria Sharapova via KO4!

AFTER:
Big Serb triumphant again in her crusade against the tennis world. One has to wonder what her beef is anyways with these tennis girls, and more importantly, who’s next? Serena Williams? There aren’t many left for Krsmanovic to challenge, and after this victory, we’re left wondering where she will go from here. Judging from her post-fight interview, Bo doesn’t really know herself:

“Much as I hate to say it, Sharapova was the pinnacle, and I’ve conquered her. The Welter picture is kind of crowded at the moment, so we’ll see whether Hannah still holds the belt next year, because I definitely want my rematch sometime in the future!”

There ya have it, folks. Bo talking big and confident in front of cameras. Sharapova still being revived and checked for injury in the ring. Years in the ring have not been kind to her despite her self-supposed success. 

For Bo, another notch on her belt as saunters out of the arena acknowledging her growing fanbase, her presence her solidified.
