Hilary Rhoda versus Cassidy Freeman

Intro:
A battle of two of the top welterweights as 'The Queenslayer' Hilary
Rhoda and Cassidy Freeman fight for the first time with both wanting
to be back on top of the division.
Hilary is 30 years old, stands at 5'11 and holds a record of 13 wins,
all by knockout and 2 defeats, she is a former FCBA welterweight
champion.
Cassidy is 35 years old, stands at 5'8 and holds a record of 22 wins,
18 by knockout, 14 losses and 1 draw, she is also a former FCBA
welterweight champion.
As both girls met at the press event, the girls shook hands and stood
together for the photos for the fight, before strutting over to their
tables to talk to the journalists.
Hilary was given the chance to speak first, saying "I won't pretend
that I have exactly been happy this past month, losing my title hurt
me but I'm a fighter and the best way to get back on the horse is to
fight the best, Cassidy is the best"
Adding "I have wondered what it would be like to battle Cassidy, she
is an amazing fighter, but I have trained to be the best, winning
fights like this prove that I am"
Cassidy smiles before making her speech "Hilary has certainly had a
great time in her career here, she has won a title and I honestly
respect that"
Continuing with "I have earned my way into the top 10 for the past 7
years, why I won my own belt and defended it 4 times, I am after the
title back and I hope Hannah Ferguson is watching"
Both girls nod at each other as they stand up, smiles on their faces
as this is a test they have wanted for a while it seems.
Fight night, Hilary comes out with Melanie Sykes and Eva Carneiro by
her side, she waves to the crowd as she jogs to the ring.
She is wearing a black sports bra, black trunks with a white crown
with a sword through the top, her 'Queenslayer' badge as she calls it,
her shoes black and gloves, her brunette hair is braided.
Climbing into the ring, Hilary bows to each side of the ring, before
heading to her corner to begin warming up for this big fight.
Now out comes Cassidy, she has Claudia Schiffer by her side as she
looks excited, bouncing on her toes as she stares at the ring.
As she struts down to the ring, she is wearing a black sports bra, red
trunks with matching gloves and shoes, her flame red head is also
braided.
Getting into the ring, she bounces on her toes in the centre of the
ring looking at Hilary, who nods at her and the redhead nods back to
show respect to each other before she heads to her corner to warm up.
The fighters come to the ring centre, going nose to nose as they show
they are not afraid of each other and to get psyched up for this
contest.
Asked to touch gloves, respectfully they touch them up and jog to
their corners, once back there; the referee signals for the bell to
begin 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the girls with Hilary starting more up on her toes of the
two, using her reach advantage to keep Cassidy pinned behind her
guard.
The redhead veteran keeping patience, allowing Hilary to work around
her as she looks for an opening, taking a few jabs to her gloves or
abs.
Then Cassidy parries a right to step inside to force a fiery exchange
between the two, Freeman looking happy in tight as the range suits
her.
But to Hilary's credit, she nudges Cassidy back with her left and
steps into space to rattle her opponent to her face with straight
punches.
The veteran tries to find her way back inside, but Hilary is looking
to lay down a marker early on it seems with her work rate, landing
around the guard of the actress, before moving back out of the range
of the shorter fighter.
Hilary manages to land a straight to the top of Cassidy's head to open
her guard up, allowing her to press her towards the ropes.
Cassidy shows her toughness, knocking a right away from her face and
stepping in close to land two punches across the cheeks of the model.
She forces Hilary back towards the ring centre, before she gets nudged
back again, this time though she keeps close to force her opponent to
fight in tight.
Both girls let their hands go as the seconds tick away in the round,
the bell sounds to end the round with the crowd roaring both fighters
on.
Neither looking too worried yet, Hilary though being told by her team
"good opening round, but you can not let Cassidy work on the inside
for too long OK?" With Rhoda nodding in reply.

Round 2:
Hilary starting the round off strongly with her movement and long
range punches keeping Cassidy on the defensive.
Freeman though ducks under a left cross and steps inside to land to
the ribs of Rhoda, powering her towards the ropes with a flurry of
five punches to the abs of the model.
As the brunette's back hits the ropes, she fires back up top with two
rights to the lips of her opponent to stop her charge and escape into
space.
But Cassidy is back in tight once again as she moves her head out the
way of several punches from Hilary, slamming an overhand right into
the side of her younger opponent's head.
Allowing her to press Hilary onto the ropes with a flurry of punches
slamming into the gloves and forearms of the model.
Hilary taking several shots to her body as Cassidy looks to wear her
down, the younger fighter fighting back; both fighters slugging it out
in tight as the redhead looks to keep her opponent stuck on the ropes.
Rhoda needing to clinch up as she takes two hard rights across her
cheek, the referee needs to break the girls apart as Cassidy presses
her on the ropes.
With space to work in; Hilary is able to finish the round on top as
she steps out the way of a right aimed at her body and fires back with
a straight to the nose of the redhead.
As the bell rings; the girls giving each other a nod as they both know
this is going to be hard, jogging back to their corners to get cleaned
up.
Cassidy smiling as she sits down, her coach Claudia telling her "great
job, keep this up babe as we know things can change at any moment"

Round 3:
Cassidy comes out her corner quickly, looking to keep the pressure on
her opponent from the bell as she aims at the body of Hilary.
The girls fight in tight, with Cassidy nearly headbutting her taller
opponent under the chin as she tries to power her backwards with
several short sharp punches to the body.
Hilary forced to retreat and cover up as Cassidy drives her towards
the ropes with sweeping punches aimed at the sides of her body, that
clearly part of the game plan.
But it leaves her open to being hit on top of her head with a right
cross, then a left jab snaps her head back as it catches her on her
forehead.
Cassidy keeps trying to keep in close, Hilary though is wanting to
keep her off her, forcing both fighters to trade at midrange.
The girls seem to cancel each other out at this range, each landing
through the others mitts to the others faces, blood soon runs from the
bottom lips of the fighters.
Cassidy calls upon her experience though to slip under a right hook
and slams into Hilary with a right and left under the ribs of the
model to force a gasp from her lips.
That allows her to press Hilary into a corner, where she beats the
youngster around her flanks, feeling the leather of her gloves really
dig into the flesh of Rhoda.
Who uses her left across the jugs of Cassidy to open up enough space
to land an uppercut that rattles her late on, the seconds tick away as
Hilary takes the fight to her older opponent.
The bell rings with the fighters locking eyes intensely, wanting so
badly to take the victory and prove why they are in the best of the
best.
After they sit on their stools to get their lips patched up and their
marked up faces cleaned up, Cassidy knowing she has the advantage and
will do anything to keep it.

Round 4:
Both girls quickly come out their corners to fight, Cassidy hunting
for the inside as she parries a right and steps in to land a right in
the ribs of Hilary.
Cassidy looking to build off her success so far lands another right
across the cheek of Hilary, missing with a follow up left as the
taller fighter leans out the way.
A straight punch lands on the nose of Cassidy to open a small cut on
the bridge, something Hilary focuses on as she drills her punches into
it.
Cassidy forced to cover up as tightly as she can, punches slamming off
her gloves as she is backing up on her heels.
Till a left finds it's way around her guard, slamming into her cheek;
that seems to awaken the fire in Cassidy as she flies forwards to
force Hilary to go toe to toe with her.
Sweat and blood is knocked into the air as the fighters land hard
punches across the others cheeks, Cassidy looking to press the action
as she steps inside to land a right across the lips of Rhoda.
The brunette groans as she is driven back a few steps, Cassidy though
leaves her guard down as she comes forwards, allowing Hilary to land a
right across the top of her head to turn it.
Hilary lands another two punches to the face of the redhead, driving
her onto the ropes as she bangs away around the guard of her opponent.
Cassidy now the one forced to try to fight back, Hilary though smartly
uses her jab to keep her pinned to the ropes, then landing with her
right to hurt Freeman.
The round ends with Hilary looking happy to have gotten back some
control, her face being cleaned up by Eva as she chats with her,
telling her "I'm going to be feeling this for a week" tapping her left
side as Lauren puts the ice pack on it.
In the other corner, Claudia works to clean the blood off Cassidy's
face, "god she is a pain" admits Cassidy as she looks over at her
opponent, banging her gloves together as she prepares to get stuck in
again.

Round 5:
Again the fighters meet readily at the ring centre, jabbing early on
to measure their rival up, till Cassidy dips under a right and comes
back at Hilary with an overhand right.
That shoves Hilary onto her heels, forged to cover up as Cassidy gets
right into her face, landing three thudding strikes to the sides of
her bigger opponent.
Till she is pushed away; Hilary able to catch Cassidy with a straight
to that bloody nose as she steps in swinging, now it's Hilary driving
Cassidy back onto her heels with a flurry of four punches onto her
face.
Cassidy clinches up with Hilary, holding her arms in to stop her
assault as she tries to shake off the pain she felt off that last
attack, the referee needed to pry them apart and they move into space.
Freeman is looking to get back in tight, but she is starting to have
real trouble now, each time she tries to; Hilary counters after moving
out the way with straight punches eating away at the face of the
veteran.
A right hook puts Cassidy onto the back foot, her face grimaces as
Hilary comes on the attack with her punches slamming into the guard of
her opponent, nearly knocking the gloves back into Cassidy's face.
Hilary then switches to the ribs of Cassidy, landing two rights to the
ribs and leaning out the way of a haymaker like right aimed at her
head, with Cassidy clearly looking for the one punch knockout now.
A straight punch to her nose though has Cassidy groaning loudly in
pain, Hilary working her back to the ropes with pounding strikes to
her face.
Till the bell rings seconds later, Hilary looking confident as Cassidy
is starting to look a real sight! Blood running from the nose and lips
of Cassidy as she tries to walk straight back to her corner, but she
is clearly hurting from that last barrage especially.
Claudia doing her best to patch her up, telling her fighter "come on
Cassie! You didn't work your ass off for this fight for it to end like
this! You go and kick her f***ing ass OK!"

Round 6:

Cassidy comes out with a fire in her eyes, she is swinging to try and
take Hilary's head off, surprising the younger fighter as she clearly
expected the redhead to be done.
She does well to keep out the way of Cassidy's punches as she moves to
the side and fires a straight to the cheek of her opponent.
CASSIDY TURNS AROUND WITH HER HANDS LOW AND TAKES A CLEAN RIGHT ACROSS
HER CHIN, DOWN GOES FREEMAN!
Laying on her side, Cassidy's eyes blink as she tries to clear her
head, the referee up to 5...6..7.. She continues to lay there as she
hasn't the energy it seems to beat the count 8...9...10. She is done.

Winner Hilary Rhoda KO Round 6

After:
Hilary leans into the neutral corners turnbuckles as she let's the
pain wash over her, she's won but knows she has been in a fight.
The ringside doctor checking on Cassidy, helping her to sit up as she
holds her chin she gets tested for any lasting damage.
She seems OK as she gets a drink and her face washed of blood, telling
Claudia "I thought I had this won, why didn't I keep on top of her?"
Questioning herself over this loss.
Claudia tells her "you know now her power, next time you'll stay out
the way of her punches right?" With Cassidy nodding with a small grin
on her face.
"Are my ears burning?" Asks Hilary jokingly as she comes to check on
her beaten foe, with Cassidy simply smiling in reply.
Cassidy is helped by Lauren and Claudia onto her stool as the two
camps seem happy to be in each others presence after an intense fight.
The fighters chat about the fight itself and how sore they are going
to be, there's a quick embrace as Cassidy is helped up, no hard
feelings between them as they even chat about fighting next year
sometime.
Cassidy leaving the ring, not taking help from Claudia as she is too
proud for that, she slowly heads up the ramp to a loud cheer from the
fans.
While in the ring; Hilary blows kisses to her fans, but it isn't long
till she leaves the ring to head to the back, wanting a shower to
sooth the pain.
She is looking to regain her welterweight title as she sees it, but
she has a long way to go with girls like Kloss getting a shot tonight,
Righetti, Regan, Upton, Freeman and Gemma Atkinson always around the
title themselves.
Now with girls like Tahnee Atkinson and Brooklyn Decker also making
their voices heard, the hunt for the title is getting harder as the
division grows.
