ASHLEY BENSON VS GINA RODRIGUEZ

Ashley: 28 YO, 5’5 (1.65 m) 18-18-0, 18 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers

Gina: 33 YO, 5’3 ½ (1.61 m) FCBA: 1-1-0, 1 KO since 2017, Unmanaged.

Before: “The PLP I always looking for interesting new opponents,” says Ashley Benson. “We were a bit surprised it took Gina until this year to really get active in the FCBA. She’s had enough success to make her worth fighting. This will be a ‘fun fight’ for me.”

Gina Rodriquez has been sitting further down the table while Ashley speaks at the single podium they are expected to share. She does not look pleased at what Ashley has been saying.

“Hey, sorry to keep you waiting, Benzo, but I can tell you now you won’t be having much ‘fun’ fighting me. I am going to knock your little blonde brain into the next county!”

“The only one with a little brain around here is you,” Ashley snaps. “You have to have one if you think you’re getting anywhere near beating me!”

Gina was on her feet now: “I will beat you and make you beg for mercy.”

“You plainly don’t know anything about me—I don’t beg!” Ashley snapped.

“You will when I get through pounding you out!” Gina respoinds moving closer to the blonde.

Gina and Ashley are in shorts and white tops. (Gina’s has UNTAMED AND UNMANAGED across her chest; Ashley has BATTLING BENZO across hers). Gina grabs for Ashley’s top and Ashley goes for Gina’s. They struggle around the stage until both tops rip away unexpected. Gina is in a blue bra and Ashley in a white one. They stare at each other for a moment and then lock up. The reporters and photographers rush to the stage to get a good view. Gina manages to wrestle Ashley to the table and tries to grab a pitcher of water. Ashley grabs for the pitcher too and they end up pouring it over both of them. Since it is ice water they both let out shrieks. This provides just enough distraction for FCBA Security to rush out and separate them. They are dragged away screaming, kicking and making dire threats.

This certainly does get some attention to what was considered by some to be one of the more minor fights on the PPV card. Things do not get any better when Ashley and Gina show up for the fight in sexy one piece red swimsuits with white boots and gloves (red laces for both, too). Both have their hair in braids with red ribbons interwoven! What shocking coincidence, though accusations of “Costume stealer!” rage until the exasperated referee threatens to DQ them both before a single punch has been thrown. Both fighters control themselves and get through the ring instructions. Referee prudently decides to forget the glove tap before dispatching Ashley and Gina to their corners. The crowd has developed a nice buzz. Then the bell rings…

R1: Gina moves in fast and punches hard to the body as Ashley seems a bit surprised at the older brunette’s ferocity. Ashley getting banged hard to the boobs and belly, but she keeps calm and gets her jab going to strike back at Gina’s face. Gina getting shots to the forehead and eyebrow line, but she seems to ignore this as she grinds in again against the blonde, still attacking to the body. Ashly starting to give ground, but then she swats Gina with a hard left to the jaw and a right uppercut to the chin. Gina seems stunned and pulls her gloves up to protect her head and face. Ashley now goes to Gina’s belly and breasts. Gina forced to give ground and she’s not countering much for some time. Finally, Gina gets some distance from Ashley and has a defensive jab ready to disrupt Ashley pursuit. Round ends. It’s close, but Ashley is awarded the round on the judges’ cards.

R2: Ashley ready to resume her attack, but Gina’s showing some footwork this round. Ashley finds herself being struck again and again to the head as Gina starts showing a very effective punch-and-retreat tactic. Ashley’s not landing good counters to this and finds herself chasing the brunette. Then Gina smoothly changes tactics again and comes hammering in up close and personal. Ashley struck hard to the midsection and breasts. Then Gina shifts again with some good head shots that swivel Ashley’s head and put shivers down her legs. Ashley has to try to keep Gina at a distance while she regroups, but Gina keeps up the pressure and Ashley is breathing hard at the bell.

“Oh, poor Benzo, you need to sit down and have a little rest? Is ‘Bad Gina’ making you sweat? Are you getting scared you’ll lose? You should be ‘cause youll be begging for mercy soon,” Gina taunts.

Ashley takes an angry step in Gina’s direction, but referee holds her back and sternly warns Gina against further taunting. Gina smiles with insincere sweetness and departs.

R3: Ashley has a cold look of anger on her face, but she does manage to keep her cool as Gina swarms in on her. Gina moving in and out again, but Ashley seems to be doing to better job of tagging the brunette as she pulls back after punching. Ashley still taking shots to the head, but she seems to be able to evade them better and Gina is looking frustrated. Then Gina charges in close with a fresh wave of punches to Ashley’s torso. Ashley fighting back hard with the jab and the battle seems to sway back and forth with which flurry of punching. Then Gina gets a deep hook into the pit of Ashley’s stomach to bend her forward and she brings an uppercut up into Ashley’s face. Ashley recoils with blood coming out of her nostrils! Gina pounds more Benzo belly meat, but Ashley seeming able to ignore the distraction of her bloody nose, jabs back to Gina’s chest. They battle right down to the bell and they have to be separated by the ref. Ashley her mouth and chin bloody from her leaking nose gives Gina a hot glare of defiance and marches away.

R4: PLP corner staff on the job to fix Ashley’s nose. She looks full of fight as the bell sounds, but then so does Gina. Ashley waiting as Gina first tries her hit-and-run tactics. Ashley now ready and bangs Gina hard to the head and face when she tries to come in. Gina tries circling, but Ashley now faster and blocks her way. Ashley swiftly going to the back, she feints at the midsection, but fires away with all she’s got at Gina’s head. Gina trying to get out of the way, but Ashley is really hammering the brunette’s head. Gina being pushed back to the ropes, tries to make a stand and now Ashley sinks three rapid-fire hooks Gina’s belly. DOWN GOES GINA! GINA on her knees in front of the ropes. One arm wrapped around her battered belly while the other is steadying her against the ropes. Ashley to neutral corner. Referee starts counting. Gina gasping for air, using the ropes to pull herself up, and makes it at “EIGHT!...” Gina looking pal and shaky, but she grows fiery when the referee even hints at stopping this. Referee blinks at the verbal tirade and waves Ashley back in.

Ashley again feints to the belly, but instead drives a straight right into Gina’s face. Gina shudders as she takes a direct hit to the nose. Gina now spurting scarlet and she looks at Ashley with sad eyes as the blonde vengeful closes in for the kill. Gina thrown back into the ropes as Ashley hammers her to the belly and then rips an uppercut into her chin. Gina’s boots actually lift off the canvas and she comes down as a broken-doll. Ashley has but to step back as Gina slides down the ropes and lands on her butt. She looks up at Ashley with pain-dulled eyes and then topples over onto her side under the bottom rope. The referee’s count is a mere formality.

THE WINNER: ASHLEY BENSON DEFEATS GINA RODRIGUEZ KO4!

After: Ashley smiling with pleasure at her win, but has to to wait impatiently before she’s allowed near Gina who is recovering on her stool. She stands over Gina, arms on hips and smirks down at the crestfallen Gina.

“Big talker! Gonna make me beg for mercy! Ha! Who knocked you out? Huh? Huh? I want to hear you say it!” Ashley commands.

“You knocked me out,” Gina mutters,

“I DID NOIT HEAR YOU! SAY IT LOU: WHO KNOCKED YOU OUT?”

Gina looks angry but she finally blurts out: “ASHLEY BENSON KNOCKED ME OUT!”

“That’s what I wanted to hear,” Ashley said, “Now you come with me on a walk of shame.”

Gina glumly gets to her feet. Ashley is in a happy mood as she escorts Gina around the ring. Gina trying to be stoic, but she tears start rolling down her bruised cheeks halfway through. She is sobbing by the time they are done.

“Well, I trust you have learned your lesson about messing with me,” Ashley said. “You watch what you say after this.”

Gina struggles to control her weeping: “I hate you, Ashley Benson! I just hate you! I swear I will make you pay for this.”

Ashley shrugs: “Take a number and get in line. You aren’t my first mortal enemy and I hope you won’t be the last. Let the hate keep you warm over the winter. Oh—and thank you—“

“For what?” Gina asks.

“For making this a ‘fun fight’ after all,” Ashley said with a smirk.

Gina scowls, stomps her foot and starts cursing in Spanish. Ashley looks bemused and walks away. Just another night in the ring for Ashley Benson, though one suspects this painful loss will mean a lot more to Gina Rodriguez. It was an entertaining little contest and it will hopefully lead to better things for both fighters.
