BEFORE: Everyone's favorite Geordie fighter Cheryl Cole has defended her BBU flyweight belts against Jade Thirlwall just before Christmas but doesn't miss out on another FCBA PPV opportunity to further boost her elite Top 10 stock on this side of the pond. Meanwhile Ashley Tisdale continues to struggle for results ever since she was dropped by Lookout! Boxing and hasn't actually won a fight in over three years. However she's fought a tough schedule during her career and follows that ruthless pattern tonight which raises a few questions just how desperate she is for success? Miley Cyrus might have upset Cole earlier this month but Tisdale isn't viewed as suitable to perform similar underdog magic next.

Cheryl Cole wears a black bikini top, leopard print panties and red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Ashley Tisdale wears a red bikini top, black panties and silver gloves. Long dyed blonde hair wrapped in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Cheryl jumps into a familiar aggressive drill that she displays in majority of her fights; she likes to dominate opponents she considers inferior from the start and Ashley struggles to embrace the early heat. She gets picked off by the Geordie leather and caves in behind a high earmuff that just doesn't bode well for her victory chances on the long run. Allthough she sends a few promising hooks, Cheryl dances around them and keeps plugging into her body which eventually forces the blonde onto the ropes where she can only clinch the charging singer. Cole ignores the stalemate script and lays it into the American's body which leaves Tisdale moaning in discomfort at the bell.

Round 2:
The Geordie singer must really value Ashley's skillset very low as she approaches her with hands tucked against her waist and almost teases her into making something happen. And Tisdale lets it rip! She yells out in frustration but still NAILS the tourist across the nasal ridge and camps inside her face! Ugh! That wasn't in the Lioness script at all but Chezza loses her balance in wake of Tisdale's head-hunting assault and stumbles back to the ropes where the American keeps hassling her with a steady jabbing rush. Ashley has fought women superior to Cole before and shouldn't be considered a mere cannn fodder by any means; Chezza learns this truth the hard way as she gets trapped in the corner and can only clinch herself to safety. Still, Tisdale makes her pay for the careless approach and digs more shots to the ribcage late on to run away with the action.

Round 3:
Cheryl regains the strictly business approach and quite frankly she's lucky the American didn't bust her nose in a bloody mess there. Both girls treat each other with a new found range of respect which slows the action down. Ashley doesn't blink first since she doesn't have to while Cole looks like someone who got upset by Miley Cyrus merely weeks ago... oh, wait... Anyway, the tempo of the fight drops right down as if we have two 50 years olds going for the survival act UNTIL Cheryl jumps into a late jabbing flurry that exposes Tisdale's subpar footwork. A solid head-hunting rush bounces off the blonde's cheeks and wobbles her onto the turnbuckle but there's not enough time on the clock to allow more Geordie stalking and Chezza is clearly upset when the referee hauls her off to safety.

Round 4:
The action resumes thick & fast as Cheryl revives her aggressive demeanour and begins to stalk the younger girl in close range. Ashley's guard withstands the initial rush however a swift change downstairs drops her forward and she bumps her chin against the singer's shoulder. This also allows her to clinch the Geordie babe and she drags this opportunity into the second minute. Ref separates the girls and the brunette for once misjudges her approach and wobbles over the blonde's shoulder only to eat a BIG PUNCH instead. Ugh! Ashley suddenly finds a firecracker that sends Cole's knees down the jelly road and the American takes over the proceedings blasting the stunned opponent back to the ropes. Chezza bellows out into high earmuff mode but Tisdale runs riot shouting out in the proccess; she smacks more crisp punches straight up the middle and tears a cut across the singer's nasal ridge! Oooof! That won't look pretty in the morning! Tisdale wraps the wounded girl in more hooking mayhem and literally knocks her around against the ropes UNTIL COLE DROPS TO HER KNEES unable to soak up more juice! What a turnaround here in the Garden! The crowd goes ballistic and only the clock spares the Geordie tourist from more misery. It expires just as the aching brunette gets up at eight and even Tess Valmore believes the fat lady was about to sing next. Tisdale simply needed another twenty-odd seconds to complete the demo job but she's well placed to secure the upset now!

Round 5:
You just don't see Chezza backpedalling so much but she's clearly hurt after that horrible previous round. She still owns the superior footwork thanks to her extended work on all these music video sets and Ashley can only graze her flesh in a frantic but otherwise fruitless pursuit. And now she also loses her temper and demands that Cole drops the 'chicken show'. Ugh! The singer's eyes glare in disdain but she's seen them come and go before and thinks better off it. That's a sign of real maturity and wouldn't have been noticed early in her crossover career. Perhaps Chezza is a fully developed and changed woman outside of the BBU backyard so Ashley fails to provoke another short fuse moment and has to accept that she's gonna land solid single punches the rest of the way, far short from the power supply frenzy she displayed in the fourth.

Round 6:
The pundits have Tisdale ahead on points at half-distance but Cole has recovered from that tough period and resumes stalking the blonde in close range again. Ugh! Ashley tries to push for more head-hunting success but gets blocked off and soaks up a nasty hook on the nose that drops her on the heels. She tries to swing one back but Chezza is quicker with her own right hand and smacks the blonde on the ear which drops the blonde's guard and allows the older woman to haul in more shots straight up the middle. Ugh! Ashley's head rocks back & forth as she gets thumped back into the ropes and Cole's up to her 'A' game raining punches all over the suddenly subdued foe. Tisdale begins to scowl in pain but just can't shake off the heat and bellows out against the ropes, she tries to apply an earmuff cover but the Geordie tourist WHACKS her on the exposed liver instead AND RAGDOLLS HER ON THE CANVAS in the proccess!! Uh-oh! Ashley is hurting badly here and rolls into embrional position as the shot to the liver has probably broken her resilience. She only sits up at six and looks to be in some pain as she hugs the aching spot. She shakes her head in disgust but she just can't stay off the boards anymore and it's KO6 Cheryl Cole!!!

AFTER: That was a very close call for the Geordie tourist who tasted a handful of the Miley Cyrus upset pill before snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. The ultra-aggressive style has won Chezza another battle but one must wonder if she's close to finally running out of steam given her busy schedule and dangerously hittable tactics. She can give a lot and she takes a lot too, one of these days the wheels will fall off for good and the Miley Cyrus deja vu won't be considered a mere bad day at the office anymore.

Meanwhile it's business as usual for the often overlooked Ashley. She hang on as long as she could and gave the Top 10 ranked opponent plenty of trouble but ultimately fell short of the required mark. Tonight's performance feels like Tisdale's career in a nutshell.
