Hayley Orrantia versus Briana Evigan

Before: Briana’s unwanted lay-off the wild card here. She finished 2017 with a better record than Hayley, but she also hasn’t fought since May. “I’m so pleased to be with Holloway. Sure this is a progress report, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting!”

Hayley eager to get 2018 off with a bang: “The rest of the under-25 gang have all come out with wins, and there’s no reason I shouldn’t. We’re not just the future of O&E, we’re the future of the FCBA!”

Briana in silver/white satin camisol top; little gray bedroom shorts; white gloves; tangly brown hair loose. Hayley in purple bandeau, white gloves, shoulder-length hair loose and wild.

R1: Bouncing footwork as girls bop clockwise, then step in with robust right hands, carrying the left at cheek for protection on otherwise naked approaches. Hayley getting the better of blockbuster single-shot haymakers--her gloves spanking load off Briana’s chest, tummy, head and shoulders, buffeting her off-stride. Evigan not shutout--she busts Orrantia some tasty right hands to tummy and shoulder--but bumper car slugging goes to Hayley’s heavier weight of shot.

R2: Trench warfare, just like last time, girls edging into each other left shoulder first, then working in there snug. Foreheads rubbing, arms writhing to wrestle opposing limbs out of the way - girls take turns cuffing, swatting, cramming away in tight. Stamping footwork and humming buttocks: both girls digging in, determined not to give up canvas. Haley's right hand pushing Briana's left hand down, then tucks her right into jug: just a short, shoving motion. Evigan scraping uppercuts - sometimes touching Orrantia a digging set-up in the belly to distract her, thereby freeing up those ribs. Good grinding give and take, both fighters mining quit to the body in the squirming fur-ball.

R3: Veteran Briana feints high, wraps her arms around Haley's waist: stamping legs propel the younger fighter to ropes and Evigan’s the first one on top in this fight. Simple, methodical, effective stuff: Bri unhurried - taking the time to get her weight on Hayley, securing her before plowing in. Evigan's punches jam home - then she ties up, consolidating with weight after almost every punch. Orrantia groaning - butt and back on ropes: she's slugging back righty off her heels, but at a deficit - nowhere near the leverage Briana's getting. Evigan not just lying atop Orrantia, she's busy in the clinch: muscular arms always wriggling in under Hayley's; JMD-calibre chest constantly pressing her upright or smudging her sideways; shoulders rubbing in under Orrantia's chin, bumping her about. Briana on top bell to bell, first fighter to really pull away.

R4: Free-swinging melee, Briana hopping in with short lefts and rights gets CLOBBERED! Lusty lefts and rights as Hayley triggers from the hips, great clapping whacks upside Evigan's head, Orrantia arms straight, extended as walloping right/left clobbers onto her left hip, Cali girl’s an astonished beauty blinking and shaking her head as she gets on her bicycle. Hayley preening, tapping her chest: she's grinning big as Briana dusts herself off. Evigan firms engaging Orrantia midring: tense, set piece slugging sessions result as girls trade stiff, jolting one-twos from crouching, flat-footed stances. Briana holding her own here - extending on straight right hands to Hayley's head; clipping palm-down hooks to chin. Orrantia absorbing, but landing those punches as well - both girls enjoying success, often preempting one another. Both vixens staggered at times - knees bending loose after ringing head-connects or chin-checks. Oddly methodical the way they're visibly trying to time each other; setting down so firmly on each shot. Bell: glares, heaving chests all 'round - ref moves in cautiously as girls aren't departing.

R5: Haley gambling early, swinging away outside, missing over the top as Briana ducks. Evigan hooking out of the crouch, catching Orrantia a stout left to mouth... brunette stumbling back on her heels, demoralized with hurt. Briana pouring in head-and-left shoulder-first, pushing off Haley to hook at her waist/ribs, then curling hooks across tits. Orrantia sagging against ropes, looking shabby. Evigan sees the hurt, pours on extra, bending and twisting at the waist, pitchin' from her pockets to really slam away big. Hayley swooning, reacting slowly as punches move her this way and that... her legs give way and DOWN SHE GOES! Briana hands up as she's sidestepping the rubble, glancing down prettily at her KO5 victim.
