Before: Camila Mendes a mixture of awe and defiance as she finds herself sharing a pre-fight press podium with legendary FCBA veteran Michelle Williams. For her part, Mish seems to be mixing condescension with curiosity as she eyes the younger brunette.

“I just want you all to know that I realize I am an underdog in this fight,” Camila announces. “but I plan to fight my hardest to show Michelle and everyone else that I am not just some flyweight fresh meat for her bully for 10 rounds.”

Mish raises an eyebrow: “I do object to the term ‘bully’. I just inflict the minimum amount of damage required to win the fight. It’s not like I enjoy beating the stuffing out of rookies who don’t have the sense to stay down when I floor them. That is my best advice, Ms. Mendes, when I first hurt you—stay down. It’s not really brave to keep getting up. It’s foolish because you are just encouraging me to beat you down all the harder.”

“I will not be intimidated by you or anyone else—and I know you’ve had more draws than I have had fights, but I am in this fight to win it,” Camila insisted.

“You have no idea how many naïve young fighters have said that me and ended up on their knees, their pretty faces all smashed up and their bodies agonized from my punches. Ah well, I am really here to bring some reality to young fighters like Camila. I assume you have some talent or you wouldn’t have won 3 fights, but that doesn’t make you a contender. I will make that very clear to you by the time we’re done.” Michelle said with assurance.

“I wasn’t expecting a title shot next week,” Camila said, “but, of course, when I beat you, anything could happen next./”

“’When’ you beat me—not even an ‘if’?” Mish asked more amused than offended.

“Not even an ‘if’,” Camila said. “Oh, I expect a beating, but I will give it right back to you. I finally have management and they are going to see they signed the right girl.”

“I don’t argue with deluded rookies,” Michelle said dismissively, “I will win. You will lose and you will be in a world of hurt at the end.”

“And so will you,” Camila said with a steely glint in her dark eyes.

Michelld gave a derisive sniff and walked away from the podium. Camila watched her go and then turned back to the press:

“I guess everyone will find out which of us was right on Fight Night. See you all then.”

The night of the fight finds the presumptive underdog Camila Mendes in burgandy bra and panties. Black gloves and boots with burgundy laces, Dark hair pulled back in a ponytail. Michelle Williams in a white faux lace bra and panties with gray gloves and boots with white laces. Mish with pixie cut fair hair. Mish coolly sizing up Camila who is trying to look cool and defiant, but can’t quite conceal her nervousness. Mish knows a case of the rookie fidgets and smiles. Camila sees the smile and stiffens. Mish smiles again. The referee then interrupts to remind them why they here and the ring instruction proceed smoothly. Quick swipe of the gloves ends the formalities and sends the two off to their corners. Mish moving just enough to keep loose. Camila looking tense despite her best efforts to hide it. Then bell rings.

R1: Camila Mendes is fast out of her corner and seems quite eager to get her leather into Mish Williams. Veteran is cool and alert, she lets the young brunette get close and then stuffs quick hooks into her stomach. Camila tipped forward and Mish brings uppercuts into her face and chin. Camila backing away as Michelle marches forward with crisp shots alternately to head and body to keep rookie confused. However, Camila does an unexpectedly fast circle to the left and smashes a straight right from the shoulder into the side of the blonde’s head. Mish staggers from impact and Camila slides back to the right to then start firing directly into Mash’s face and chest. Michelle now the one falling back, but she quickly rallies and fights back with the jab to the face of the brunette. Camila obliged to duck down behind her gloves and Mish goes to the belly and ribcage. Camila jabbing back, but Mish pressing forward and she eventually forces the brunette to give ground. Round ends and it’s awarded to Michelle Williams—but it’s close.

R2: Mish looking annoyed at the rookie’s resistance and comes charging out plainly looking to use a booming right to knock some respect into Camila. Trouble is, the right is telegraphed and the rookie is able to duck under it and come shooting up with booming right uppercut to Mish’s chin. MISH CAUGHT FLUSH. Mish’s head shoots back and she stands for a moment on tiptoe. Camila swiftly attacks the blonde with a furious scrubbing attack to the body. Breast to belly and back again go the fast-firing gloves of Camila Mendes! Crowd excitedly cheering the newcomer on as she drives the stunned veteran into the ropes! Mish takes a seat on the strand and covers up. Camila just thrashing away at Michelle’s huddled body. She keeps it up all the way to the bell, Wow! SHUTOUT CAMILA MENDES! Michelle looking dumbfounded at this treatment as she departs the ropes. Camila smiling broadly AND EXCITEDLY GIVES MICHELLE WILLIAMS A PAT ON THE BOTTOM WITH THE PALM OF HER GLOVED RIGHT GHAND! Mish whirls around with How-Dare-You fury in her eyes! Referee jumps between them and gives Camila a good talking to while Mish storms off to her corner, Camila looking embarrassed and nods her head as though promising to be good from now on. However a round of applause and cheers can be heard from certain anti-Mish segments of the crowd.

R3: Michelle looking very agitated as she sits on her stool. HISC training staff tries to calm her down, but it’s clear Mish feels disrespected—and by a rookie! She glares across the ring at Camila and even shakes her right hand menacingly at the brunette. Camila is now the cool and collected one, She ignores Mish’s obvious anger and listens to her trainer, As soon as the bell rings, Mish comes blazing out of her corner clearly intent on blitzing Camila back into her own corner. Camila too quick for her, she darts out to mid-ring and when Mish scrambles to pursue, the brunette strikes first with a left-right combo that hits the blonde right between the eyes. Mish rocked back onto her heels and Camila keeps up the pressure with a shower of punches to the head and body. Michelle kept ducking under this barrage, but she does get her jab going and uses it to slow down the rampaging brunette. Action slowing over the middle minute as Mish regroups and Camila circles. Mish countering with jab, but Camila still on the attack., Michelle then tries to regain the offensive with a lunging attack, trying to bring her right into Camila jaw. Camila coolly ducks the right and again brings a crashing uppercut into the veteran;s chin. MISH GOES DOWN! Uppercut to chin sends Mish crashing onto her butt. She sits there looking stunned as Camila stands over her drinking in the sight, Referee has to shoo Camila to the neutral corner before starting to count. Extra seconds seem to allow Mish’s spinning head to clear sufficiently to rise at “EIGHT!” Mish goes into a tight defense to hold off Camila until the bell rings. Camila looks overjoyed as the knockdown ensures she’s won her second round of the night wide. Mish looking shocked at how this fight is developing as she makes her way back to her corner.

R4: Mish’s shock seems to turn to anger during the break. She’s soon resumed glaring across the ring at Camila. Camila is smiling and chattering happily with her corner crew. Mish’s scowl deepening. She pounds her gloves together in frustration and leaps off her stool at the bell. Michelle moving forward rapidly, though it’s not the reckless charge of the previous stanza, but once again she runs into a well-prepared Camila Mendes. Camila striking at Michelle’s head to get the blonde ducking and then she starts in on Mish’s body with another thorough scrubbing of the targeted torso. Michelle grimacing, trying to hit back with the jab, but Camila is moving her upper body quite nicely and the attacks high aren’t effective, Mish drops to punching brunette body, but Camila starts circling while maintaining punching pressure, Michelle taking a lot of punishment before the bell rings. Camila wins her third straight round and it’s by a wide margin. Michelle more stoic at the break but no mistaking the angry stomp back to her own corner. Camila cheerful and all but skips back to her stool.

R5: Camila out more aggressively this round, trying to add to the hurt she’s already inflicted on Michelle as she presses in closely. Michelle on the defensive this round, but it is a strong defense. She’s working the jab to smack hard into Camila’s face to shake and confuse the rookie, Camila starting to slow down and cover her jumped up face. Mish now hooking hard to Camila’s burgundy bra top and then down into her stomach. Camila trying to stand her ground and she is getting her shots into the veteran’s body. Late in the round, Mish works a new target: Camila’s ribcage and her side ribs. Camila looking uncomfortable with this punching, but gives ground only slowly. Mish finishes up with a nasty elbow to the gut just as the bell rings. Camila gasping and choking looks indignantly at ref. He looks back with a shrug—he didn’t see anything, Camila’s turn to scowl and stomp to her corner. Mish smiling again as she wins round close.

R6: Camila going after Mish to the juggs with some straight rights and lefts. Mish on her heels and goes back at Camila’s breasts with swiping rights and lefts. Then Mish goes to the belly and works that hard with hooks. Camila firing back at Mish’s forehead and brow line, but she’s having to give ground as she’s being tilted forward by those gut busting hooks. Then Mish cracks rights and lefts to the sides of Camila’s head. Camila tries to hang in, but Mish goes back to belly with more hooks and the brunette falls back. Camila still resisting with the jab to keep it close, but Michelle emerges with her second straight winning round. Fighters exchange dark looks before turning away. Michelle gives Camila a gloved slap on the bottom. Camila startled, turns around ready for retaliation, but referee jumps in, Michelle gets lecture now, Mish solemn-faced and head hanging, but she’s smirking with a “That showed the rookie punk” grin as she walks to her stool.

R7: Camila looking more determined than angry on her stool and as she comes out for the new round. Michelle moving in with some determination of her own, but Camila proving evasive this round with good footwork and she’s jabbing back hard to the face. Michelle ducking behind her gloves and then Camila unleashes thrashing hooks to the blonde’s belly meat. Hooks sinking in deep and making Mish gurgle as she shuffles back all doubled up from the impacts. Camila surging forward throwing rights and lefts at blonde head. Mish managing dodge or blunt many of these punches, but she’s having trouble deploying her jab again. Mish in retreat is able to get some distance and force Camila to chase her. Punch flurries when Camila finally catches the blonde, but then Mish is off again and more pursuit, another flurry, but no serious damage done to the end of the round. Camila Mendes does win the round wide and is looking good after 7, Mish Williams not at all a happy veteran at this point.

R8: Michelle fighting with cunning as the round opens. She starts employing sudden movements to feint the rookie and bang her hard to the head as she caught off balance. Camila banged up hard by several of these fake-outs, but learns the hard way and finally stops biting on them. However Camila is looking a bit fatigued and her reactions are slowing down, Mish then moves in with a nasty body attack that hammers Camila’s belly, ribs and shows special attention to working over the Mendes rack. Camila forced to retreat, but Mish proves hard to shake and she is able to keep the pressure on despite desperate jabbing from the brunette. Rounds ends and judges give it to Michelle by a solid margin.

R9: Camila slumped on the stool during the break, She’s been through an intense 8 rounds and looks it, but she finds the energy to get to her feet and come out fighting. Mish strikes at the belly with her opening attack and works her way up to the ribs and breasts. Camila struggling to push the veteran back with her counters, but Mish is still coming and increases the intensity of her punches. Suddenly Camila’s knees buckle after another series of hooks to the gut, AND DOWN GOES CAMILA. As Camila sinks to her knees in front of her, Mish quickly turns away and somehow her elbow clips Camila on the side of the head! A few ringsiders see it and yell their protests, but officials miss it. Camila on her knees leaning forward onto her gloved hands glaring at Mish as she lounges in the neutral corner, Camila pulls herself together and rises to break the count at “NINE!”. Camila fights back hard when Mish tries to follow up, but Mish not pressing as time runs out, she knows the knockdown has made sure she wins the round wide.

R10: Camila looking across the ring with cold, angry expression on her face during the break. Michelle smiling and chatty in her corner. Bell sounds and Camila is up with new-found energy. She head straight for Michelle and then makes a move to the left, Mish bites on the feint and is caught looking the wrong way as Camila brings a cracking right to the side of her chin. Mish’s head and body spin away. DOWN GOES MICHELLE WILLIAMS! Mish lands on her side and then rolls on to her face, Camila standing there arms raised in victory, but referee reminds her she has to go to neutral corner. Camila quickly does, but again she is given Mish precious extra seconds to recover and, sure enough, the blonde slowly rises and beats the count. Camila stomping her foot in frustration. Mish makes a big grin and waves the brunette back in. Camila wastes no time in accepting the “invitation” and comes in quickly, trying to get the blonde back down. Mish blocks these punches, circles, biding her time for a few moments—and then strikes. Mish fires a straight right into the point of Camila’s chin. DOWN GOES CAMILA. Camila thrown on her back, lies there, arms and legs out-flung looking up at the lights, Mish wastes no time getting to the neutral corner. Camila rolling onto her side as referee starts counting. She hears the count and it spurs her on. With heartbreaking effort, Camila Mendes gets off the canvas and stands just before the ref reached “TEN!” Referee hesitates about allowing this to go on but Camila gives him such a fierce glare that he lets her have her way and waves Mish back in. Michelle suddenly full of energy as she senses the end of her aggravating rival is near. She drives Camila back towards the ropes first with hooks to the belly and then as Camila’s back hits the strands she unleashes with rights and lefts to the head. Camila just hanging there getting her head knocked around. REF JUMPS IN! Officlal shielding Camila with his body. Michelle backs off and watches as Camila slides down the ropes into a sitting position looking around ref’s with drowsy eyes as Mish raises her arms in triumph,

THE WINNER MICHELLE WILLIAMS DEFEATS CAMILA MENDES TKO8!

After: You better believe this is not over. Claire Danes, Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman join Mish Williams (still gloved, an ominous sign) in marching to the O & E corner where Camila is being revived on her stool. Danes, Kunis and Portman peel off to block O & E flyweights Olivia Holt, Hayley Orrantia and Sarah Shahi from interfering.

Camila looks up with a defiant look: “You want some more, Mish? You think I’m afraid of you now?”

“No, I don’t which is why I am here,” Mish says. “I like to believe it is better to be feared than respected. So you ARE going to learn to fear me.”

Camila doesn’t get a chance to reply, She is pulled to her feet, spun around and thrust against the turnbuckle. Then Mish raises Camila’s right leg up onto a middle rope (which forces Canila to grab the turnbuckle to stay on her feet) and then she STARTS PUNCHING CAMILA’S BUNS WITRH HER GLOVED RIGHT HAND! Classic FCBA punishment gets introduced to a stunned Camila who can only cling to the turnbuckle and try not to cry out. Mish working first one butt cheek and then the other. Camila can’t help herself: she starts to moan and tears come to her eyes,

Meanwhile the outraged Olivia, Hayley and Sarah are throwing themselves at Claire, Mila and Natalie, trying to break through to save their new stablemate. Fierce pushing, shoving and top tugging going on as a counterpoint to Camila’s misery.

After a dozen or so strokes, Mish steps back and lets Camila take her leg down, Camila sinks to her knees and looks over her shoulder.

“You will pay for this, Williams, and that it is a promise!” Camila chokes out.

“Yeah, that’s what they all say—uh oih!” Mish is interrupted when Sarah Shahi bursts through the HISC defensive line, but Mish jumps to one side, trips Sarah, who crashes into poor Camila. They end up in tangle heap.

“I think we must be going now,” Mish says loudly as the now 3 on 2 HISC girls gang up on Olivia and Hayley to shove them through the ropes.

Crowd gives a burst as Demi Rose Mawby, Claire Holt and Ashley Greene come rushing out from the dressing area. The HISC forces quickly decide to take Mish’s advice and depart the ring in haste. They leave admit a mixture of cheers and boos.

A terrific veteran vs rookie battle. Too bad about the post-fight shenanigans as they took away from the actual boxing. Tremendous effort by newcomer Camila Mendes, who came close to winning, but discovered why you don’t celebrate until you’ve actually had an opponent counted out. Veteran Mish Williams got pushed hard by the younger brunette, but she showed why she’s a multi-time champion by coming back from adversity and winning the fight. Patrons certainly got their ticket’s worth with this one. What’s next for Camila? That’s up to her nw management, but she certainly looks like she has achieved near-contender status, but she’ll need to show she can actually win against the division elite. Meanwhile Mish has come through a surprisingly difficult test, but she did win and that should mean title shots are still in the picture for the HISC stalwart.
