Michelle Keegan (Beevers Babes) vs Lily Collins (Vixens)



Before:  Michelle Keegan has stated that she wants to bring home the FCBA flyweight title to the UK, and her career is to be restarted against fellow Brit Lily, who had a very slow start to her career, but who had a superb 2017

Round 1

Neither girl commits too much in the first minute or so, but suddenly Lily lands a nice combination of jabs and a cross on Michelle’s face, and the fight begins properly, Michelle fighting back with her left jab, although Lily seems to have a decent reach advantage over her, and she keeps popping Michelle’s head backwards where she can, making the Corrie babe cover, but Michelle seems to start working Lily out, and she’s getting inside that jab, and thudding some hefty punches into her body, Lily clearly hurt, and needing to try clinching up, Michelle taking control more and more, and she’s surely weakening the younger girl in this opening round

Round 2

Michelle clearly wants to continue with the body punching, but Lily’s wise to her tactics, and she’s just jabbing Michelle’s face again and again, really just teeing off on her, the older girl unable to get inside, her head snapping backwards, and she gets caught with a left hook as well, and skitters sideways into the ropes, Lily not following up though, because she doesn’t want to get caught in a toe-to-toe scrap, and she stands back, landing right jabs in Michelle’s face, bruising the Manchester girls cheek already, because she just isn’t avoiding Lily’s jab. Michelle tries another left hook at Lily’s ribs, gets through this time, but pays for it as the longer limbed girl lands three rat-a-tat right jabs in her face, and a left cross to follow, the bell coming to pause the action.

Round 3

It looks like Lily’s beginning to dominate this fight now, as she hammers Michelle’s face again, the girl just can’t miss as Michelle comes forwards, Lily’s right jab lumping her up around her left eye really quite badly, and Michelle takes a while to come to terms with the fact that she’s constantly in range, the former JMD champion beginning to get beaten up here, backed into the ropes, Lily looking like she might finish her off right now in round 3, Michelle digging deep, dragging Lily into a punching war, and she turns her late in the round, giving her some good punches to her ribs and midsection, but she still looks second best at the bell

Round 4

Lily’s on the attack early, but Michelle digs a couple of left hooks into her liver, and the taller girl squeals, backing away in a hurry, and this is letting Michelle overcome the reach deficit, as she tucks into the younger girl with good punches to her body, and she’s using her experience and rigcraft to turn this fight around, Lily beginning to look more and more like the girl who once got beaten and humiliated by superslut Samia Ghadie. In comes Michelle again, Lily’s attempts to clinch being thwarted, and she bends the model over with a left and right hook combination, just missing her jaw with an uppercut, Lily looking unsteady for a short while, but covering again, taking Michelle’s punches on her arms, but she took some punishment in this round

Round 5

The girls are swapping punches in the opening seconds, Michelle mistakenly thinking that she might have Lily weakened enough to thump her face, but the taller girl’s keeping her at arm’s length again, and giving her punishment as well, her right jab once again bossing the fight for her, Michelle not able to get in close enough to land her bodyshots this time, as Lily picks up the pace, popping the older girl sideways and backwards, some blood around Michelle’s left eye now, which Lily works on, really beginning to mess Michelle up in this round, and she lands a lovely left hook on Michelle’s jaw, the older girl in trouble, on the ropes, covering her face, but her body’s taking the shots as Lily hits her really hard, right through to the bell



Round 6

Michelle’s corner have done well to patch her up, and she’s actually taking the fight to Lily again, bravely walking through those jabs to land shots to Lily’s lithe body, and, although her left eyebrow’s been opened up by that right jab, Michelle’s landing some good blows, and making Lily cover again, the younger girl backed into a neutral corner, worked there by Michelle’s powerful left hook, but again she’s absorbing most of the actress’s punches on her arms, which must be hurting her, and maybe softening her up a bit, but although Michelle’s scoring points, she isn’t landing anything on Lily’s face, which looks much as it did when the fight started, whereas Michelle’s is bruised, swollen and bloodied



Round 7

Lily looks all hustle and bustle as she hits Michelle hard with a right and a left almost immediately, the older girl wilting under the constant pressure, and she’s very much on the back foot now, with Lily’s gloves just bouncing off her battered face, that left eye almost closed now, and the referee seems to be waiting his moment to step in – although Michelle fights back again, takes a couple of cruel blows on her damaged eye, but she lands hooks to Lily’s body, and hurts her, too, Lily in a corner again, covering up, Michelle getting closer, but she takes a sweet combination of right jabs and left hooks, goes backwards in a hurry, and Lily thuds in a right hook, Michelle down now, on her back, and counted out

Result: Lily Collins knocked out Michelle Keegan in round 7

After: That was a bitterly disappointing fight for Michelle, but she didn’t get her tactics right, and took a beating from a taller, possibly fitter girl in Lily, who is beginning to look more and more of a prospect
