BEFORE:



"It's just disappointing that I'm not getting more opportunities," says Beau with a shake of the head. "I can win fights in this division, and I've proven it, but, these girls don't want to take the risk with me. Give Perry credit. She's willing to do that. And, it's going to cost her."

"She is right about one thing," says Katy. "She CAN beat girls in this division. But. Not THIS girl. Not THIS girl."



ROUND ONE:



O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Cold' by Crossfade, and here comes the star of ABC's 'The Good Doctor', Beau Garrett!"

McCarthy: "Who is coming up on the SEVENTH anniversary of her last FCBA win!"

Cassie: "But she does HAVE three FCBA wins..."

McCarthy: "That's what you said the LAST time this tomato can was here!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Garrett wasting no time getting down the aisle and into the ring. She's helped off with the robe to reveal a maroon number and a body that looks like it's primed and ready to go. And, that's 'California Gurls' you hear hammering through the arena, and that means that the singer of that song, 'The Santa Barbara Slugger', Katy Perry, is on her way to ringside..."

Tess: "Perry, of course, ALSO the star of an ABC show, "American Idol"."

Cassie: "And, she's also coming off another big win in a career full of them, after taking out Hilary Rhoda on PPV last month."

O'Dell: "Katy into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that red number we've seen before. And, the ladies are about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Perry. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Garrett's a tomato can. Perry."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, the first round begins. Garrett making with the legs early, and that's no surprise. Beau very athletic, moves very well, and she has good hands. Katy moving with, willing to box her fellow blonde, because, as we've seen many times before, Perry can box with any big in the FCBA..."

McCarthy: "Any big NOT named Adrianne Palicki, anyway..."

O'Dell: "Battle of movement, ranging around the ring, as the ladies set up, trade accurate fire, then move and reset. Both fighters playing angles and geometry, and both showing some respect early, doing some feeling out. GOOD combination from Beau right there. Got a couple of punches on clean."

Tess: "She does have quick, accurate hands."

O'Dell: "No question about it. Katy responds with a nice flurry of her own. Beau covers up, gives a little ground, circles away. Ten seconds to go in the first. One more nice exchange, and there's the bell. Close at the end of a nice, two-way first round, but Katy claims the points to go up 10-9."



ROUND TWO:



O'Dell: "Second begins with Beau on the move again. Perry moving with. Katy very athletic herself, able to match footwork, square up Beau, lands a solid combination. Garrett again gives ground, circles away. Perry right back after her. Beau going to have to set her feet and punch for some respect here..."

Cassie: "Exactly what I was going to say, Jenny. You can't just move on Perry all night. She's too athletic."

O'Dell: "Beau turning, moving. Katy stepping to now, landing a good combination that forces Garrett to cover up again. Perry stalking, definitely looking for something big at the moment. Garrett a SHARP right hand in that flurry and DOWN SHE GOES! Beau landed a nice right hand and Katy DROPPED her with the rejoinder!"

Tess: "Straight right hand, and she landed it on the button!"

O'Dell: "Garrett dropped to her back. Katy to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Beau staring up at him. Rolls to her belly at six. Seven. Garrett pushing up to hands and knees at eight...and SINKING BACK DOWN AT NINE! TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO2 is 'The Santa Barbara Slugger', Katy Perry!"

McCarthy: "What a tomato can..."



AFTER:



O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Katy Perry, and, Katy, I thought it might be hard to get up for someone like Garrett coming on the heels of a fight against Rhoda..."

Katy (shaking her head): "That's the way to get beaten. You can't take anybody lightly in the FCBA. You can't overlook anyone. You have to treat everyone like a dangerous fighter, because they all ARE."

Tess: "So, you're ranked in two divisions now. Where are you concentrating?"

Katy: "Look, management makes the fights. What I want to do is get some gold around my waist again. And, whatever gets me there, that's what I plan to do."
