Alessandra Ambrosio versus Adrianne Palicki

Intro:
Big lightweight fight with two big lightweight stars, Alessandra
Ambrosio takes on Adrianne Palicki tonight with both wanting to make a
statement.
Alessandra is 36 years old, stands 5'9 1/2 and holds a record of 20
wins, all by knockout and 4 defeats, she is the current BBU
lightweight champion.
Adrianne Palicki is 34 years old, stands 5'11 and holds a record of 28
wins, 23 by knockout and 22 defeats, she is a former 2 time FCBA
lightweight champion.
Both were interviewed before the fight; with Alessandra starting her
speech off "well I've hung up my angel wings, now I'm fully focused on
my boxing career and as I've said before, I got into the sport later
and I need to make the most of it now"
On her opponent, she comments "Adrianne is a stunner and a top
fighter, so I have to say she is my type of girl *winks* but
seriously; I am looking forwards to testing myself against her"
Finally on plans in the year, she answers "well I own the BBU
lightweight title, I would love the FCBA title too but Kendall owns
that, so it's just about winning and supporting each other"
Adrianne meanwhile says "I've been feeling good the past month in
training, it's just about getting more work this year as I hunt for
that hat trick of lightweight titles"
Continuing with "Alessandra of course holds her own belt, so she is a
class fighter, one that I'll have to put down to keep moving back into
title contention"
She finishes by saying "just to the other lightweights; any of you
that wants to step up to the plate, you know where to call me, as I
think a lot of you are too scared to face me"
Fight night; out comes Alessandra with Taryn Terrell and Eva Carneiro
by her side, she is wearing a yellow sports bra with green trim,
yellow trunks with a green waistband and strips down the side, green
gloves and shoes to celebrate her Brazilian heritage and her hair is
in a simply ponytail.
She does a little samba dance at the top of the ramp before she heads
to the ring, a big smile on her face as she goes with the fans giving
her high fives.
Stepping into the ring; Alessandra blows a kiss to her fans, then jogs
to her corner to prepare for this massive test.
Now out comes Adrianne; she has Jaime Lynn Spears with her as she
pumps her fists in the air and looks to the ceiling, before she begins
to jog towards the ring.
Adrianne is wearing an orange sports bra with white trim, orange
trunks with white strips and orange gloves and shoes, her hair is also
in a simple ponytail.
Stepping into the ring; Adrianne has a smile on her face as she
discusses the fight with Jaime and limbers up to get ready for this
war.
Brought to the ring centre, the fighters stretch before they look each
other up and down, seeing a very toned fighter in front of them gets
them more excited for this clash.
Asked to touch gloves, respectfully they do as told and nod at each
other, before heading to their corners so they can begin 10 rounds of
lightweight action.

Round 1:
Off we go! Both girls start off trading hard punches at midrange early
in the round, Alessandra targeting the body of Adrianne, pushing the
pace early to maybe test how much ring rust her opponent has.
Adrianne steps back soon enough to create a little more space, working
behind her jab as Alessandra quickly has to raise her guard up after
taking several punches to the top of her head.
It's Adrianne now setting the pace as she boxes safely on the outside,
with Alessandra keeping herself compact, hunting down her bigger
opponent.
Palicki leans out the way of a big right cross aimed at her chin,
countering with a double jab and a right cross of her own to push
Ambrosio onto the back foot.
That makes Adrianne more aggressive as she drives Alessandra back with
hard straight punches slamming off her gloves, keeping the Brazilian
on the defensive and heading around the ring.
Till Alessandra parries a straight and lunges forwards with a straight
of her own into the abs of her opponent, who groans out as Alessandra
works the body and drives her back across the ring.
Adrianne wisely nudges Alessandra back, landing a stiff straight to
the top of her head, followed by a right and left cross to help her
drive the model back towards the ropes.
Alessandra showing her toughness though to come firing back, leading
to a toe to toe exchange with seconds to go in the round.
The bell sounds and the fighters jog back to their corners, Adrianne
looking impressive as always early on, though Alessandra doesn't look
too bothered as her and her coach Taryn talk about the round.

Round 2:
Adrianne continues to use her reach advantage early on, digging her
punches towards the head of Alessandra, who is keeping her guard as
tight as she can.
The smaller fighter clearly not enjoying this as Alessandra can be
seen gritting her gumshield, Adrianne of course doesn't care as she
continues to move around the outside of her opponent, clipping her
across her face with several cross punches to start knocking her
towards the ropes.
It's Alessandra's footwork that gets her out of trouble there,
Adrianne though follows quickly to push the model back onto her heels
though with her punches raining towards the head again.
Two hooks to the side of Alessandra's head show the intention of
Adrianne has changed, she wants to finish this early it seems as she
starts throwing more heavy punches then before.
But with her swinging for the fences more comes an opening for
Alessandra; who ducks a right hook and steps in with an overhand right
that turns Adrianne's head to the side.
Alessandra puts her head down and works the body of Adrianne, who
grunts loudly and is forced near the ropes.
Both fighters dig in and trade in tight as Adrianne looks to unshackle
herself from Alessandra, whose continues to hammer the body as her
head gets clipped.
Adrianne manages to turn the tables on Alessandra by pulling her onto
the ropes and swapping places with her, she snaps a right straight
onto the nose of Alessandra and a left cross to a roar from her fans.
The bell rings to end the round with Adrianne looking the better of
the two with her quick start to the round, while Alessandra looks
sternly at her; wanting so badly to hurt her opponent with her power.
Both are cleaned up on their stools, with the Sceej corner looking
cool and collected, while the Girls Friday corner looks more animated.

Round 3:
Both girls look to step out and control the pace early, Adrianne
continues to work on the outside, looking to set up her bigger punches
as she hammers her jab into the gloves of her opponent.
But as Adrianne misses with a right hook, she takes a hard right under
her ribs to make her gasp, leading Alessandra to start her drive
forwards.
The Brazilian nearly has her head bumping into the chin of her
American opponent; working the body with short sharp punches, till she
is shoved back.
Adrianne catches Alessandra with a right cross but misses with the the
follow up left, as Ambrosio leans out the way and comes back firing.
Both fighters slugging it out in close as Alessandra won't let
Adrianne get a moments peace now that she is in the range she wants.
Especially as Alessandra is starting to win the exchanges, those body
shots seem to be unnerving Adrianne to a degree as she retreats back.
Alessandra landing a big right across the face of Adrianne opens up
the bigger girl, with Alessandra pounding two more shots right into
her face to force her onto the ropes.
The fighters go toe to toe! Adrianne looking to escape the ropes as
Alessandra looks to hurt her to the body again.
The round ends soon enough with Adrianne staring angrily at her
opponent, not liking being pushed around as Alessandra stares right
back at her in reply.
Back to their corners they go; sitting on their stools with Jaime
working on the body of Adrianne as it starts to get a pink hue on it.
While Alessandra has her face wiped down with marks starting to show
on it, Taryn though not looking too worried as she goes through the
tactics from this point on.

Round 4:
Adrianne looks to use the aggressiveness of Alessandra against her by
boxing on the back foot; Alessandra though showed her own experience,
keeping her guard tight as she looks for an opening.
The cagey start to the round sees Alessandra stuck behind het guard
again, her face showing the frustration she is having of being pegged
back by the taller woman.
But as Adrianne goes to snap a right at the head of Alessandra;
missing and the Brazilian darts inside to land a left hook to the
ribs, landing an uppercut that knocks Palicki back onto her heels.
Adrianne covering up as Alessandra starts giving her both barrels,
slamming punches up top to open up the body, then digging her fists
into the body of her opponent.
The actress is groaning and grimacing as she is powered onto the
ropes, forced to try to brawl her way off the ropes, getting the crowd
to cheer both fighters on.
In the end though Adrianne clinches up with her opponent, forcing the
referee to break them apart and allowing Palicki an opening to move
into space.
Where for the remainder of the round; she falls back to a basic
jabbing drill to keep the distance the same, landing several off the
cheeks of Alessandra, who looks a little too gung ho.
The bell rings to end the round with Adrianne looking a little
worried; Alessandra has roared back into this fight and she is
starting to feel it as she sits down and starts to breath harder.
Alessandra looks keen to continue; Eva working on her as Taryn nods at
her and is clearly telling her to get at Adrianne and hurt her.

Round 5:
Back out they come; Adrianne looking to keep at Alessandra with her
jab, becoming more aggressive herself as she pounds the gloves of her
older opponent back towards her face.
She starts to back up Alessandra now as she works around the guard of
Ambrosio with rights and lefts, that leaves her open though to her
opponent getting right back into her face.
Both slugging it out in close again as the crowd gets behind both of
them, neither really using any defence as they just throw leather at
each other.
Adrianne gives Alessandra a nudge with her left to create space, then
throws a right that misses and ALESSANDRA LANDS A RIGHT ONTO THE LIVER
AREA, FOLLOWED BY TWO MORE BODY SHOTS THAT PUTS ADRIANNE DOWN TO HER
KNEES!
Adrianne spitting her gumshield out as she cradles her body,
1...2...3.... She is gulping air as the count is being made over her
4...5....6..7 with tears streaming down her eyes, she doesn't look up
to standing 8...9....10 and it's proven right as she is counted out!

Winner Alessandra Ambrosio KO Round 5

After:
Another massive win for Alessandra as she jogs over to her corner and
mounts the bottom rope, pumping her fists into the air as a chant for
her.
While Adrianne has Jaime checking on her, her face is red from trying
to catch her breath as her face is cleaned up, she is just about
starting to feel better now.
Alessandra jogs over to her to check on her, Adrianne nods to her and
the two fist bump each other to show respect.
Though Adrianne is understandably upset as she is helped to her corner
to get her gloves taken off and chats to Jaime about getting more
fights so this doesn't happen again.
While the winner gives Taryn and Eva a hug as a thank you for their
help, then she gives the fans a few blown kisses to show her love for
them.
Both fighters head to the ring centre, with Alessandra getting her
hand raised and she gives a little samba dance for the fans.
Adrianne nods over to her before with some help from Jaime, she has
her mind on getting back in the gym on Monday and hopefully fighting
on the next PPV to get herself back into peak performance and back in
the title hunt.
While Alessandra will look to keep winning on both sides of the
Atlantic, can she keep doing that is going to be the biggest question
for her this coming 12 months.
