The Man In The Hat sits, as usual, at the center of the dais. To his left are Jennette McCurdy, Kristen Stewart, Britney Spears, Gemma Arterton, Neve Campbell, Pink, Grace Park, and Alison Brie. To his right sit , Anna Torv, Charlotte McKinney, Antje Utgaard, Jewel, Mariska Hargitay, Leelee Sobieski, Kesha, and Kat Graham.
Man In The Hat: "OK. As usual, before we get to questions, there are some people I want to thank. Let's start with Bazz. What a fight that was between Antje and Moon. And, that's no surprise. The Bazz stable is full of girls who hit hard and are in great shape, and several are champions just like Ms. Bloodgood. Also want to thank our indy fighters, who are the backbone of Asylum and we always enjoy giving talented girls without management a chance to get into the spotlight. And, last but certainly not least, the FCBA Commission for sanctioning these fights and making Asylum possible. Now. Questions. Cable Boy. Go!"
HBO Reporter: "No bantams on the card for the second consecutive month..."
Man In The Hat: "Just worked out that way. But, our bantams have had plenty of action this year and that's not going to change. I absolutely LOVE where we are with that division. It's traditionally been a Front Street strength and we're back to that. I've got four aces at 120. Chloe just had the belts, Dennings has become an elite bantam, and, of course, we've got Hunter and Lili, who are two of the best young bantams on the plant. Couldn't be happier. Cable Boy II! Let's hear it...
Showtime Reporter: "I'd like to talk about some girls who were actually ON the card..."
(Laughter)
Showtime Reporter: "One division that HASN'T always been a strength for you is flyweight, but, arguably your two best were on the card tonight, and they both looked good..."
Man In The Hat: "Well. Not everyone would agree they're our two best, and two girls who WOULDN'T agree with that are Jane and Ariel. But, these two ladies you saw tonight, they have the tools to bring the flyweight titles here. Kris, of course, has had a title shot for us and all she needs is another opportunity. And, let's not forget, Jennette's a champion in her own right. Yes, it was JMD, but a champion is a champion and this girl won it in her NINTH FCBA fight at the age of 23. She has the goods. That's why she's here. SOMEBODY'S going to be the first girl to bring us the flyweight belts. You might just be looking at her right now. Tess, dear. Go ahead..."
Tess: "You've had what could fairly be called 'an embarrassment of riches' at lightweight for some time now..."
Man In The Hat: "Yes, we have, and we continue to. The two ladies you saw tonight, Anna and Gemma, they led that division for some time, and, obviously, Katy and Serinda have come alongside now to give us quite the Fearsome Foursome. Three of those ladies have won titles, and Anna's been as close as you can get. Just like flyweight and bantam, I'm VERY happy with where we are at lightweight. Smackeroo. Dinner time. Take us there!"
Reporter: "I guess that leaves me with the welterweights, and, there wasn't much not to like about either of their performances tonight..."
Man In The Hat: "Not much at all. We've sort of been doing welter half way for some time now, and that's been a decision I made as a result of some stuff that happened several years back. Well. No more. The time has come for Front Street to either go all IN in the division or be all OUT. No more dabbling. No more messing around. Welter, see, is all about physical. That's the key. And, these two girls here. Antje is ridiculously physically gifted. I mean, there's absolutely nobody in the FCBA that has the size, power, and athleticism this girl does. And, she's getting better every time out. She's becoming very, very scary. And, Charlotte. She's ALREADY scary, considering the girls she's ALREADY beaten. This one-two punch here I'll put with any stable in the FCBA. And, then you've got Katy, who's proven she can fight with the elite up at welter as well. So, it's not fair to keep holding these girls back. We either have to push 'em or let 'em go. And. I am NOT letting them go. So, as of this moment, we're back. To those who'd like to work with us, we welcome you. To those who would oppose us, we defy you.Tess! Smackey! Limo!" |
