Sophia Bush versus Kaya Scodelario

(Bush & Burton vs Girls Friday)

Intro:
Sophia Bush and Kaya Scodelario both want a crack at the FCBA
bantamweight title, a win tonight for either keeps them in that hunt
against whoever claims the gold later.
Sophia is 35 years old, stands 5'4 and holds a record of 21 wins, 19
by knockout and 18 defeats, she is a former FCBA JMD champion.
Kaya is 26 years old, stands 5'6 and holds a record of 21 wins, all by
knockout and 5 defeats in her career.
Both were interviewed at their gyms; with Sophia being asked about
Kaya from the time they sparred for a month before she fought Chloe
Bennett for the bantamweight title last year.
"We had fun or at least I did, she brightened up the training but of
course I wasn't able to claim the title, I'll change that of course if
I can get back into the title hunt" replies Sophia with a friendly
smile.
She continues "now I have to beat Kaya, I have fought friends before
and beaten them up, this won't be any different, she isn't going to
know what hit her because I am far from finished"
Kaya meanwhile answers the same question on sparring with "that was
simply a way to improve myself in my eyes, I mean Sophia clearly
didn't learn anything off me as she lost against Chloe"
As the journalists press her on her friendship with Sophia, Kaya looks
around before answering "OK I like Sophia, but right now she is in my
way to what I want, so I see her as I see everyone else in the
bantamweight division, as my bytch!" Storming off as clearly she is
having some mixed feelings on this fight.
Fight now; Sophia comes out with her best friend and coach Hilary
Burton by her side, both looking relaxed as they head down to the ring
chatting away on the gameplan.
Her attire tonight is a white sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and
gloves, while her hair is up in a fighting ponytail.
Climbing into the ring, Sophia does a lap inside the ring, waving at
the crowd as she looks excited to be here, getting to her corner; she
jokes with Hilary that she is winded before she begins to warm up.
Out comes Kaya with Taryn Terrell and Eva Carneiro with her, she
stares into the ring as she heads down to it, she looks more tense as
she bangs her gloves together as she goes.
She is wearing a chequered sports bra, red trunks, matching gloves and
shoes, while she also has her hair up in a ponytail.
Getting into the ring; she heads to her corner and can be seen waving
Sophia to bring it on, with the American nodding in reply.
Both come to the ring centre; squaring right up into each others face
as they try to shove the other back, the referee nudging both back as
they stare right into each others eyes.
Asked to touch gloves; they bang them together to show there will be
no love in this fight, heading to their corners ready to start 10
rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters; testing the other out as it has been months
since they sparred together, with Kaya looking to control the range
early.
Sophia keeps her guard up high; deflecting several jabs away and
stepping inside to trade with Kaya, leading to the first full bloodied
exchange between the two.
Heads rubbing together as they stay in tight; their eyes are locked as
they scruffily fight on the inside, mainly targeting the others body.
Till Sophia nudges Kaya back with her left and bangs two rights into
the cheek of the younger woman to back her up behind her guard.
Kaya needing to retreat quickly and sidesteps Sophia as she swings a
left hook at her head, with the Pirates actress countering with a
right to the side of her face.
The fighters settle back into circling and trade single punches; with
Kaya able to catch Sophia trying to come in close, smacking her to the
top of the head with several counter shots.
Till Sophia tries to slip under a right; but Kaya moves back enough
to create space and lands a straight to the nose of her opponent.
The last 30 seconds sees Kaya back Sophia up behind her guard along
the ropes, Bush needing to protect her head as Kaya tries to get at it
with a flurry of punches.
As the bell rings; the girls don't acknowledge each other as they head
to their corners, with Taryn nodding at her to tell her good job.
While Hilary tells Sophia "nothing to worry about yet, chin up babe"
as both smile at each other and Sophia bangs her gloves together
before she stands up ready for more action.
Round 2:
Meeting at the center of the ring; both trading single punches as they
circle early on, Kaya landing the better punches as she stays on the
outside.
Kaya manages to land a two punch combo straight onto the top of
Sophia's head, driving her back a step and landing a right across her
lips to make her groan.
The younger fighter pushing forwards as she looks to bully Bush back
like the end of the last round, with her punches catching the gloves
of her retreating opponent.
But Sophia shocks her by ducking under a straight and coming up with
an overhand right that turns Kaya's head to the side and allows the
American to get on the front foot.
Kaya now being driven back behind her guard as Sophia goes all out
attack, landing several punches through the guard of the British star
to her face, with body shots coming afterwards to get Kaya on the
ropes.
The fighters slug it out, neither holding back even as friends outside
the ring, Sophia gets the better of the exchange when she ducks a left
cross and slams two body shots in that make Kaya gasp out and shove
her back.
The final few seconds of the round sees Sophia keeping the pressure on
her opponent by throwing head shots that slam into the guard of
Scodelario, nearly knocking it into her face.
The round ends with Sophia smiling as she jogs back to her corner,
while Kaya looks annoyed that her good start come to a screeching
halt.
Both listening closely to their coaches, ignoring each other across
the ring as they get cleaned up, with each knowing the other means
business tonight.
Round 3:
Now warmed up: both fighters are throwing more punches at a time now;
Kaya continuing to take the early part of the round with her extra
reach, hitting Sophia to the top of her head.
Till Sophia is able to parry or duck a punch and slip inside to work
the body of her fellow brunette, both making the other groan out each
time they land a hit.
Kaya has other ideas though as she slams a jab onto the lips of her
opponent, following up with a right and left across the top of Bush's
head to knock her back.
The British fighter starts coming forwards as she head hunts, forcing
Sophia to retreat and have to soak up the assault on her gloves and
forearms.
Kaya's longer reach allows her to keep Sophia on the outside, keeping
that guard high till she steps in and lands three thudding body shots
in that make Sophia gasp out.
But Sophia tries to stand her ground as she smacks her right into the
lips of Kaya and both women slug it out as the action heats up.
Sweat flying off both girls as they work away, Kaya though smartly
steps back with a straight striking Sophia to the top of her head to
knock it back.
Allowing Kaya to dominate the final part of the round as Sophia is
stuck on the defensive, till the bell sounds to end the round.
Kaya smirks as she heads back to her corner; Taryn telling her to keep
that level of work up and she'll be winning this fight.
While Hilary continues to be a calming presence for Sophia, keeping
her focus on the task as she works on cleaning her marked up face.
Round 4:
Kaya looks to keep Sophia on the back foot as she dances around the
outside of the smaller fighter and controls the early action.
That doesn't mean Sophia isn't looking for ways to get in closer; each
time she tries to though, Kaya catches her to the top of her head to
ward her back.
Timing her attack better; Sophia parrying a left and countering with
two punches under the ribs of her opponent to finally get inside to
work.
Sophia now controls the action in tight; she forces Kaya to retreat
after slamming several punches into the gut of Scodelario.
Bush comes forwards on the attack with her punches mainly targeting
the stomach of her opponent, forcing groans from her lips as she
drives Kaya towards the ropes.
The youngster needing to shove Sophia back with her left, with both
fighters trading at midrange as Kaya gets back on the move.
Till Sophia tries to slip under a straight, Kaya landing a left to the
top of Bush's head to keep her back, with the reminder of the round
seeing both women cancelling each other out and stuck on the outside.
The bell rings with both women looking each other over with smirks as
they see how marked up the other is becoming.
Back on their stools; both coaching teams are saying similar things,
that they need to do something to take control of the fight or get
stuck in a stalemate.
Round 5:
The early going sees Sophia look to be the one to push the pace early
as she looks to get into the face of Kaya, forcing Kaya to fight off
the back foot.
Both landing straight punches off the others lips and face as Sophia
stalks forwards, finding more gaps in the others defences now as they
look to stamp their mark on the fight.
Sophia slips under a right and lands a left to the ribs, followed by
an overhand right that knocks Kaya back onto her heels.
Kaya forced to cover up as Sophia drives her towards the ropes, now
forcing her along them as Kaya tries to keep her guard tight.
The Brit needing to shove Sophia back to get into space, with Sophia
looking to get back at her; but as she does come forwards, Kaya leans
out the way of a right hook and snaps her own right into the face of
Bush.
With Kaya able to keep the distance at her range for the reminder of
the round, rifling her punches into the face of her smaller opponent.
The bell rings with Sophia looking at Hilary looking annoyed as she
heads back to her corner, with Hilary pointing out "it was a good
round babe, don't get too worried you are not finishing yet"
Kaya meanwhile isn't particularly pleased herself, staring up at the
ceiling of the arena for a moment before she listens to Taryn about
how to change things up.
Round 6:
Again Sophia looks to keep on the front foot, keeping her guard tight
as she comes forwards and Kaya dances on the outside of the ring.
The early action sees Sophia banging away at the gloves, Kaya
countering out the pocket with her punches catching Sophia on her
nose.
Sophia tries to swing a right hook at Kaya, who leans back and comes
back with a right that cracks Sophia across the top of head.
Kaya follows up with an uppercut that makes Sophia stumble back, Kaya
driving Sophia back onto the ropes with three punches knocking the
head of the Bush back.
Needing to clinch up; Sophia looks to be stunned as she blinks while
hanging on to Kaya, the referee breaks them apart and Sophia tries to
move into space.
Kaya is on the attack though; knocking Sophia back around the ring as
the American tries to keep her guard up, but punches are finding their
way between her mitts to her face.
Late in the round; Sophia tries to swing hooks at Kaya in desperation,
but Kaya dances out the way and counters with a double jab off her
nose and lands a straight to knock her head back.
The bell rings with Sophia shaking her head as she heads to her
corner, Hilary needing to help her sit down on her stool, trying to
get Sophia's head cleared up.
Round 7:
Sophia does come out; looking to counterpunch Kaya as the Brit moves
forwards, wisely Kaya is measuring Sophia up with her jab finding a
home on Sophia's nose.
Kaya pushes forwards after catching Sophia flush on her face with a
straight, LANDING A FLURRY OF PUNCHES THAT TURNS HER LEGS TO JELLY, A
RIGHT ACROSS THE CHIN OF SOPHIA PUTS HER DOWN TO HER BACK!
The referee begins to count as Sophia groans out and lays sprawled out
1...2...3...4 Sophia's spits out her gumshield as she tries to turn to
her side 5...6...7 but falls back to her back and 8...9...10 Sophia is
counted out!

Winner Kaya Scodelario KO Round 7

After:
Kaya is quick to check on Sophia, while not exactly her best friend;
clearly she likes her a lot as she kneels down next to her.
Hilary and the ringside doctor come in the ring to check on her too,
with Sophia managing to sit up with a little help from Hilary and nods
her thanks at them for caring.
Though Sophia admits to Kaya "I thought I had you" with Kaya replying
jokingly "did I knock you out that badly that you a hallucinating?"
Both smiling at each other as they bump fists.
The ringside doctor though tells Sophia "I want to run some tests OK?
So we'll take you to the back" with Hilary and the doc helping her up
and out the ring, acting like a clutch as they help her to the back.
Kaya standing and getting lifted up in a hug from behind by Taryn, who
tells her "awesome work babe! You earned it tonight alright"
The Girls Friday crew all smiling as Kaya gets her gloves taken off,
she hugs both Taryn and Eva, Kaya thanking both for their help.
As they leave the ring to go celebrate; Kaya gets in front of a camera
and says "Kaya and Kira; I hope you guys saw this latest win, I want a
call for that title shot guys" blowing a kiss to the camera and
heading off up the ramp to the back to celebrate.
