BEFORE:

"Yes," says Jessica with a nod, "I figured I'd have made my FCBA debut a long time ago. I mean, Lowndes has a tenth of my talent, and she gets work around here. But, it is what it is. I'm here now, and I plan to make some noise."

"I agree that Jessica's going to make some nosie," says Kat with a smile. "After all, when a body hits the canvas, it's not exactly quiet."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Go Ego' by Eight and a Half..."

McCarthy: "Eight and a half what?"

Tess: "The name of the BAND is 'Eight and a Half'..."

Cassie: "Which you'd KNOW if you read the PREP material!"

McCarthy: "I don't read Lavigne's PROPAGANDA!"

Cassie: "You also apparently don't know what's going on around here, because Avril left Front Street for The Dollhouse almost nine months ago..."

McCarthy: "Oh, she's STILL behind this. No question in my mind!"

O'Dell(sighing): "IF we can concentrate on the ring, we'll see that the star of the video for that particular song, the lovely Jessica Stroup of Netflix's 'Iron Fist' is climbing in to be helped off with the robe. And, Jessica looking plenty good in that red number..."

McCarthy: "No better than average. Couldn't SNIFF 'Playboy'..."

Tess: "HERE we go..."

O'Dell: "AAAANNNNDDD that's 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' by Scissor Sisters, and here comes one of Front Street's four bantamweight aces, Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

McCarthy: "Four aces my EYE. SOME of those girls might actually have talent, but they're all being ruined by Campbell..."

O'Dell: "Kat down the aisle and into the ring. She's helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve and the crowd loving how she looks in that curve-hugging black bikini we've seen before..."

McCarthy: "Philly. Low standards."

O'Dell: "And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kat. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Stroup? NO FCBA wins. Dennings."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Stroup making with the long left jab to start things. She's got some height and reach on Dennings and clearly plans to use some of that early. Kat's seen all this before, though. She's working the feet, looking to close, not getting into the phone booth, though, instead working at middle distances..."

Tess: "Interesting, because Dennings likes to work that inside stuff usually, especially against tall girls like Stroup."

O'Dell: "Usually does, but not today. Instead, working the hands from mid-range, staying mostly upstairs, not going body. And, we're seeing both fighters getting the better of things on their terms. Stroup getting more scoring done at range, Kat when she can get closer. Good combination, Dennings."

Cassie: "HARD right hand landed in that exchange."

O'Dell: "Stroup took it well, though. Gives a little ground, back to gun-platform stuff. Kat angling, getting to spots, getting off with both hands. This is good stuff from Dennings, showing plenty of ability to box even against a girl with that reach advantage, and there's the bell. Close first to Kat."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins the way the first ended, with Stroup working for space and Dennings looking to angle in to middle distances and STROUP WITH A HARD RIGHT HAND! Excellent right from Jessica and that shook Kat! Stroup immediately letting the hands go, backing up the shorter brunette with hard shot..."

Cassie: "If Stroup didn't put Dennings down with that one, I'm not sure she can do it. That was just about PERFECT..."

O'Dell: "But, while Kat's still standing, she's definitely buzzed and Jessica's taking full advantage, winging away with both hands, backing Kat into the ropes and going to work in a big way. Dennings in the high guard, rolling with punches, banging back here and there, not going to let the ref off easy."

McCarthy: "She doesn't have to worry. Weirdo's got that guy bought and paid for..."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of the second, and Jessica Stroup ROMPING to the finish, just hammering away, having some shots blocked, but getting plenty of hard leather through. Ten seconds left. Dennings going to ride this thing out, but it's a HUGE second round for Jessica Stroup who takes it wide."

Tess: "And evens the fight at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Stroup coming forward to start the third, looking to consolidate now. Dennings giving ground grudgingly, firing back hard, seems to have most of the leg back under her. Jessica using the jab nicely. Not getting sloppy. Working smartly and effectively. Kat willing to let her fight lead..."

Tess: "Dennings is good in counter, and you're seeing that now."

O'Dell: "Sure are, because, she's giving just about as good as she's getting at the moment. Just about, but not quite. Jessica still getting a bit more done, using that length very, very effectively. Has a nice, sharp jab that she uses both to control and to set up hard right hands..."

McCarthy: "No question, this kid has some tools."

O'Dell: "And, she's making use of all of them right now. Kat, meanwhile, bobbing the head, using some lateral movement, even stepping to a bit as we head toward the bell. She's shaken the damage now, no question about that. Ten seconds to go in the third. Good, sharp exchange there, and there's the bell. Close. Jessica."

Cassie: "And, Stroup's got the 29-28 lead."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth begins with more aggression from Dennings. Kat again working forward as Jessica tries to enforce distance, but, now Dennings wants to close and bang. No more middle distances. She's getting in Stroup's face and working some body, thumping hooks to the ribs and midsection..."

Cassie: "Now, THIS is what I expected, especially against a tall girl with a lot of body to thump."

O'Dell: "AND DENNINGS ROCKS STROUP WITH A RIGHT HOOK! Jessica stumbles backward, covers up, and she's in DEEP trouble as Kat's now letting the hands go, battering her back into the ropes. Stroup in a tight earmuff, rolling with punches as Dennings commits on everything..."

McCarthy: "Typical Campbell fighter, uses low blows to set up a power punch!"

O'Dell: "Twenty-five seconds remaining in the fourth. Dennings going downstairs now, banging away, trying to bring the guard down. Stroup crouching, clinching, trying to hold on. GOOD right hand from Kat that shook Jessica. Referee looking in closely. Ten seconds. Left hook, Kat! Stroup stumbles along the ropes. And, there's the bell and not a minute too soon for Stroup. Shutout, Kat."

Tess: "And, we're even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Dennings right back to work to start the fifth, she's stepping to, banging away with heavy shot both upstairs and down. Stroup on the defensive, keeping the hands high, tying up when she can to slow Kat down, but Dennings is on a roll in a big way now, WHACKING the body with hooks, then working back upstairs..."

Tess: "And, when Kat gets it going like this, upstairs and down, she is tough to deal with..."

O'Dell: "As Stroup is finding out. GOOD combination by Dennings there! Sent sweat flying and backed Jessica up a couple of steps. Stroup again trying to tie up. Kat shoves free, works some more body. Jessica crouching, trying to block some of the body work and DOWN SHE GOES!"

McCarthy: "ANOTHER LOW BLOW SET THAT UP!"

O'Dell: "There was no low blow, but there WAS a short right hook that dropped Stroup to her right side. Dennings to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Stroup rolls to her back, looking up at the referee. Six. Seven. Trying to sit up. Eight. And sinking back down at nine. TEN! It's OVER! And your winner by KO5 is Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

Cassie: "That was a NASTY punch."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Dennings, and, Kat, she gave you a little bit of trouble..."

Kat (nodding): "Caught me a good one, but that happens. She can hit."

Tess: "But, once you shook that off..."

Kat (nodding): "Yeah, once that happened, I got it rolling, and, when I do that, there's nobody in this division I can't handle. Nobody."
