Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago & Dollhouse

BEFORE:
It's rematch time here in the Staples Center as Emma Roberts wants to avenge her July 2014 TKO loss to Anna Popplewell that occured when both these girls were making their FCBA debut. For several years it appeared like Anna earned her entire future thanks to that performance and her long-term contract with the Punchaholics Anonymous remains a forbidden fruit for a number of free agents however Emma has turned her own tables around following a somewhat unexpected signing with The Dollhouse crew last fall. She's lost only once under her new management and vows to keep her hot streak alive tonight:

"Let me first set a few things straight. Our first fight was 4 years ago, it was my first boxing match ever, and I barely received any training prior. My management back then was small and new, those morons clearly didn't know what they were doing. And despite all that, I STILL wrecked Popplewell for most of that fight. She NEVER knocked me out. The referee was a complete idiot and randomly decided to stop the match for NO REASON.” Emma fumes. “So, here we are, 4 years later, and what has she done since then? Basically nothing. Her acting career is a sad joke....and her boxing record only LOOKS impressive until you look closer and find out its inflated. She's been fighting only the lousiest fighters she could find. I'm not impressed. So I of course decided to challenge Anna to a rematch, which she stupidly accepted. I'm SO much better at boxing than I was 4 years ago, so you can easily imagine how tonight is going to end. Popplewell is getting destroyed."

Some fans grow frustrated with Emma's vocal tirade as she's an East Coast girl after all but Anna's one of these English tourists that remain on the fringes of elite and find it that little harder to catch on with the American audience. A recent defeat to Roxanne Pallett didn't exactly help her cause either. Some pundits even believe that Roberts specifically issued the rematch clause in wake of that result as Popplewell appears to be vulnerable more than ever before. Popplewell herself has other thoughts though:

“What can I say…? Emma’s sh*t-talking is just funny to me more than anything…I have no idea what prompted her to challenge me for this rematch out of nowhere, or why she thinks she can beat me, but I immediately accepted. I beat her once and I will gladly do it again tonight. To be honest, I’m just better at this than her. Hopefully this time I can actually knock her out, shut her up for a while, like Watson did.” Anna ends with a chuckle.

Its fight time and Emma Roberts makes her usual extravagant entrance to loud pyrotechnics and just as loud cheers. The Ice Queen is wearing a white see through boxing robe over her usual pink sports bra, white knee-high yoga tights with the name 'Roberts' written on the side and pink & white gloves. Dyed blonde shoulder-lenght hair straight, tucked behind the ears. She takes her time making her way to the ring, chatting with one of her crew members and chuckling to herself, completely ignoring the loud fans around her. She climbs into the ring and strikes a quick pose for the fans, one hand on her hip and the other high above her head, before retiring to her corner, jumping up and down and doing some shadow boxing to warm herself up.
Her opponent is out next and Anna Popplewell comes out to mostly boos from the hostile Dollhouse home crowd who’s mostly here to see Roberts getting some revenge. Regardless, the brunette smiles and waves politely to her supporters in attendance and strides confidently towards the ring. She’s wearing a light blue sports bra, white knickers with blue trim and matching light blue gloves, her long brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Anna makes it to the ring accompanied by her stable’s crew, climbing inside and going straight to her corner where she begins last moment preparations, exchanging a few words with her trainer before turning around and leaning casually against the turnbuckle, signaling she’s ready and willing to begin this contest.

The referee checks on both girls and signals for the bell! The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division. Here we go!

Round 1:
Anna works the slightly longer reach into a better degree and outworks the younger opponent in close range. Emma shows little concern when she eats several crisp shots upstairs but then moans in pain when the English brunette belts her across the tummy and charges into her body on a repeated basis thereafter. Ugh! Emma swings over the top but fails to find her range and Anna bullies her on the heels with more quick harpoons that allow her to dictate the pace for remainder of the round. She splits the blonde's guard repeatedly and Emma's fiery pre-fight comments carry little weight in the ring as the older actress simply shows her elite craft and traps a hapless looking Roberts in the corner in the dying seconds. A few more shots to the midriff complete the rout and the New York hellcat is left stunned at the bell as is her coach Kristanna Loken.

Round 2:
Emma doesn't respond in the familiar pesky Dollhouse way here and that is a genuine surprise. She prefers to drag Anna into a clinching struggle that makes the crowd turn the back on her and several jeers indicate how impatient the L.A. people really are here. Meanwhile Anna shows some core strenght to shake off the American's stalemate and whacks her across the nose to set up another proper jabbing rally that forced Roberts back. She can't do anything in mid-range either and a trademark pursuit ensues with Anna running it from the front even though she can't connect with her opponent's flesh as frequently as before. Emma tries to tease her with her gloves right down by her waist and that's too cocky for the pundits' liking as The Dollhouse struggle continues and even coach Loken is visibly upset during the interval with her protegee unable to walk the walk thus far.

Round 3:
Finally a big punch from Roberts indicates she's here for a revenge mission. She clatters into Anna's chest before a quick uppercut tags the chin and forces the brunette onto her heels. Emma shows superior agility to wrap her in the desired close range thereafter but those mean shots to the body don't seem to hurt Popplewell much and she fights back from behind the guard to steer her ship and rattle the fake blonde with a powerful left hook on the brow ridge. Ugh! Emma tries to brawl herself back into the game but it's even stevens as they trade close range assault deep into the third minute and quite frankly, the smaller blonde looks worse for wear at the end of that exchange with her left brow ridge swelling badly here.

Round 4:
It's all about Popplewell early in the fourth as she splits the blonde's wilting guard and works around the swollen area to give Roberts a really hard time here. This is a proper whitewash in the making and the Staples audience is left stunned when Emma simply has to force another clinch in order to tame the British heat. She slips through with some half-hearted efforts on the ribcage but Anna eventually shakes her off and beats for another overhand that makes the blonde think better off it again! Anna doesn't seem much concerned about this defensive attire at all; she's built a solid lead on the cards so far and the Dollhouse maiden will have to make her moves sooner or later. Coach Loken is ready to slap her girl across the face to wake her up and one can only wonder what's going on with Emma tonight?

Round 5:
Anna resumes the head-hunting drill but Emma ducks underneath it before hauling in some promising shots to the body herself. She clatters into the brunette's chest again to enforce the phone booth-like stance and here's where Popplewell struggles to stretch her elbows. Another quick punch pierces her solar plexus and makes her groan but she misses the put away response upstairs and gets clubbed with a vicious hook on the nose instead! Ugh! Roberts gears up for a follow-up and BLASTS Anna on the chin with her best strike of the night. The older girl slides onto her heels but can't keep her gloves in tact and gets pummeled into the ropes when the American buries her with a flurry of head shots! The audience roars in delight and suddenly Emma goes on a rampage as her hitherto superior opponent can't escape the heat... Nobody can count the number of punches that stack up on Anna's face without a slo-mo replay and the pounding just NEVER stops!!! “Die!!!” The Dollhouse Ice Queen hisses as she almost lifts her unfortunate prey off the boards and Anna collapses into a heap on the ropes with a nasty cut appearing over her left brow ridge. She bellows out into spasms and while she might have earned the benefit of the doubt on a more neutral ground, this is The Doll Ball and the fight is quickly STOPPED by the ref. Ugh! Roberts huffing and puffing, absolutely infuriated, staring wide-eyed at the referee in both disbelief and rage for denying her proper revenge, shoving at his chest, clearly wanting to finish her savage assault on the overwhelmed Brit and completely demolish her. However, Officials quickly rush in and stop the seething blonde from doing any further damage. Call it what you will, but they will surely call it controversial back home in London!!! TKO5 Emma Roberts in brutal come-from-behind fashion!!!

Official result: Emma Roberts def. Anna Popplewell TKO5.

AFTER:
This was a fortunate victory for the blonde and Anna might have recovered past the point of the stoppage according to some, however, she doesn't recover in time for some trademark Emma Roberts post-fight punishment as Emma has her gloves removed and approaches the half-dazed brunette to grab her by the hair and parade around the ring in Walk of Shame manner. She demands Anna to admit she's the superior woman but the English pride is reluctant to cease and only after few extra yanks on the brown ponytail it finally yields under the command. Emma isn't really satisfied and shoves the vanquished woman onto her knees where Popplewell remains for a while as Emma blows kisses to the audience and dismisses the idea that a third rubber match between these two is required anytime soon.

"Look, I got what I wanted. She got what she deserved. Don’t even THINK of saying I got lucky here. This b*tch can fight, I’ll give her that. But she got lucky in our first fight and I completely wrecked her here in the end. It doesn't matter that she had the lead on the cards (confirmed by the BLONDE! Magazine scrutiny), she couldn't put me down, and couldn’t do sh*t once I landed my shots.” Emma stops to catch her breath before continuing.

“Luckily for her this dumbass of a referee stopped me from completely destroying her face, but I deserve ALL the credit for this win. And DON’T talk to me about Avril. Grrr... She’s not on my level. I’ve been fighting and WINNING against much better competition than her, there’s no doubt I’m the top Dollhouse flyweight. Deal with it! I'm here to stay and all the West Coast naysayers can go shove it! We really need to have one of these Doll Balls in the Garden soon…Then you'll see some real Roberts love!!!" Emma winks at the camera before turning to celebrate with her stablemates and crew.
