BEFORE:

Finally, after a (very) long wait, the main event has begun. Tonight, we'll see up-and-comind and top bantamweight, Kira Kosarin, take on former lightweight champion, a woman twice her age, birthday girl Erica Durance. Both girls are in incredible shape and are equally tall, ready and excited for what should be one hell of a match. Kira comes from a recent and extremely close loss against champion Emily VanCamp, but it is Erica who hasn't won an official match since 2015. Despite this, the older woman thinks of this as her return into the spotlight.

"I respect Erica, who doesn't? She has a great record and has fought some of the greatest women on the league. She's even defeated Theron, who also fought today, twice! This is a great opportunity to go against not only a lightweight, but one of the best lightweights. This should be an interesting fight" says the youngster about her opponent.

"What a nice girl. It's a shame I'll have to knock her out tonight, but hey, that's business, right?" Durance states about the younger actresss.

ROUND 1

Kira comes out fast, Erica soon follows with her guard up, but is met midring with a right uppercut in the gut. The young girl soon follows with a left up that smashes Durance across the face. The lightweight takes a few steps back and blocks a couple of punches from Kosarin and receives a tough right to the mouse that snaps her head back, the Smallville actress is having a taste of the starlet's strength. Kosarin continues trying to bully the slightly bigger girl and is astonished by how good she is at blocking her punches. In the last minute, an exchange is seen in the centre of the ring and by the end of the round, it is Durance who has the advantage. Overall, a pretty slow round that Kira wins in points.

ROUND 2

Erica looks different this round, more aggressive, she's after Kira right off the bell, jabbing at her quickly and wearing her down, showing off her toned legs as she dances swiftly around the ring. Kosarin is taken aback by the speed of her older foe. A left hook lands on her face and a right one makes her stumble and nearly go down, but the american actress grabs the ropes and puts up her guard. All of sudden, the canadian is all over her, pouring brutal blows on her body and demolishing the ribs of the younger girl. It seems last round Erica was merely testing her opponent. The rest of the round, a nervous Kira attempts to keep some distance between herself and her foe, but barely manages to get a hit in. Had it been someone else, Durance's opponent would've probably gone down by now, but it's Kira she's facing tonight.

ROUND 3

After the beatdown Kira received last round, she begins moving towards her opponent with precaution, having now had herself a taste of the veteran's abilities. Durance's still her aggressive self, banging away at the body of the actress. Kosarin puts up a nice defense and even counters with some punches of her own, targeting the older woman's torso and slowly outmuscling her. It is obvious both women can take a punch and of course, block one. They try their best to tear each other down but are not able to accomplish much by the end of the round. A final lucky strike in the face by Durance gives her the close win in points, but she's already looking tired.

ROUND 4

"What's the matter? Getting tired?" Kira says playfully as the girls approach each other in the middle of the ring. An annoyed Erica throws an ambitious right cross that Kosarin easily ducks, then counters with a fantastic hook that sends the canadian beauty all the way back to the ropes, where the younger actress batters her with body shots. Durance's well-conditioned torso takes most of the punches, but after fighting hard to get away from the ropes, she looks exhausted and hurt. Kira takes advantage of this and shows no mercy as she pretty much plays with her in the middle of the ring, almost knocking her out with one powerful puch.

ROUND 5

For the first time in the whole match, Erica doesn't jump out of her corner. She seems to have lost some confidence and waits for the youngster to come at her, and she does. Kira rushes her opponent, swinging hard and inflicting some more damage in Durance's hurting ribs. Erica tries to evade some of the punches but it's not easy, she's being pushed back into a corner. Not wanting to get trapped again, Durance wrestles the smaller girl into the centre of the ring and starts landing some big blows on her toned body. A frustrated Kosarin takes the heavy punches and fights back, targeting the toned midsection of the older woman, eventually getting the upper hand again, but there's not much she can do soon after as the bell quickly rings.

ROUND 6

Kosarin and Erica go at it once again this time. The older woman is going for a knockout as she launches herself into Kira and nails her with an uppercut, the youngster is dazed by it and lifts her gloves trying to shield herself from the follow-up blows. Durance's footwork is almost as impressive as the speed she's displaying throwing punch after punch at Kosarin's powerful body. The Nick star shows her great defensive skills trying to cover her head from any lethal blows and she's succesful at it. Durance starts breathing heavily by the start of the last minute and her control of the round is slowly lost. Still, the round goes to her.

ROUND 7

The 40-year-old actress looks tired. She barely puts up a fight as Kosarin launches at her at the beginning of the round. A three punch combo sends her back to her corner and a brutal hook to the temple lands fiercely before she's able to escape. Kira backs away a bit as she lets the former champion fall right in front of her. Kosarin smiles and flexes her arms as she celebrates her win. The referee counts and the crowd counts with him.
1... 2... 3... 4... 5...
Erica opens her eyes and crawls her way to the ropes, which she grabs in order to help herself stand up again. Kosarin looks at her in disbelief.
6... 7... 8... 9...
She's up! Durance is up! She puts up her guard and smiles as the crowd now chants her name. But that won't be enough. Not tonight. The young actress goes at her one last time and catches her in the eye, then in the mouth and then in the chin. Durance is sent against the ropes and Kira won't let her escape. It's too much. The referee stops them. It's over.

Official Decision: Kira Kosarin beats Erica Durance TKO7!

"It was a tough match, as tough as I had expected. I don't know how she was able to stand after that punch in the seventh round, but well, it's Erica Durance we're talking about. Happy birthday, girl!"

Erica Durance smiles as she's rushed to the hospital. Happy birthday, indeed.

THE YOUNGER GIRLS HAVE WON THE EVENT, 3-2.
